Location was great for visiting colleges and museums and theaters . Staff friendly and helpful!

How helpful they where. After check out. My daughter left her wallet on bed after left. Went to Japanese market and that when notice gone. Call hotel. Gave my cell number. They call back 10 later said they didn't find it. And that when my daughter said it would be on bed. So say check and call back we then decide drive back to hotel ourselves almost there when they call back and they found it along with her sleep mask. So thankful they found it. Made us see bts night and weekend better. Thank you to you staff.

The room needed a deep clean. Scuffs on walls in the bathroom and sleeping area, stains on carpet.

The staff was wonderful! They make you feel welcomed and go out of their way to help you! I really recommend staying here and will absolutely be booking here again soon. This is also a very centric hotel, you can walk to restaurants and many stores as well.

Our room was never cleaned during a four night stay. Beds were made but no towel, toilet paper or coffee replenishment. It took almost an hour for the valet to get us our car. Elevators are extremely slow. Only one of three treadmills worked properly. We’ve stayed here before visiting our college kid and it’s great location but not worth it.

Eloise at the front desk was incredible! The bed was comfortable.

The hotel had cancelled my hotel room, but blamed it on booking.com even though booking.com had me still confirmed. The other front desk person, not Amazing Eloise, was not interested in helping this situation at all—she shut down any questions I had and made me seem like the problem. The walls in the room were pretty beat up and there were cobwebs in the corners. There is no area to buy snacks or drinks beyond the water bottles in your room. There are two restaurants and they are too expensive for the mediocre food.

We originally booked a king size room and it was not available so they upgraded us to a queen “suite” which was the same room with a smaller bed. The room made slot of noise. From the toilet to the air conditioning and what I am guessing was the drainage system. I could barely sleep because of the air conditioner noises

Beautiful place.

My girlfriend got bit by something in the evening. We went to bed and she woke up with 4 more bites on her. Management was asking if we went anywhere else. The bites were not on her body before we went to sleep. So when she woke up at 8am and noticed them, she refused to lay back in the bed. So we couldn't even lay back down. The hotel said they had the room inspected for bed bugs and none were found. They took $60 off of the price. Should've been half off. Plus there was some hair on the floor in the bathroom that wasn't ours.

I wish I was able to do more research before booking. It was a last minute decision. Needed a get away right away and I love the Navy pier. The beds were small. Not true to the adversitment.The valet parking fee I feel was ridiculous. Thats normal practice depending on the stay. Parking was horrible. Other than that, the staff was wonderful. The communication with housekeeping could have been better. I feel like for what I paid, the rooms could have been bigger. The dedicated team members left a lasting impression beyond expectations.

We booked the other location on magnificent mile but when we got booking confirmation it put us at thier other location. This was completely booking.com fault plus we were supposed to get a room with king bed and got a handicap room with smaller bed

Staff was so so helpful. Held our bags before check-in and after check-out for free. View was nice, especially on the rooftop bar, and location was very convenient!

Beds had no box springs so they sat very low to the ground. Just 1 chair so one of us had to sit on the bed or footstool.

Elevators backed up and we often had to wait, I had booked a King room on Booking.com, but when I arrived at the hotel they said they can't view Booking.com's room selection so I was put in a queen room. When I spoke with the manager, she said they would only charge me for the Queen room and it would be noted on my folio. When I went to the front desk to check out, there was no note on my reservation. This was frustrating.

One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Large, clean and extra comfortable. Great bathroom.

Check in was easy and quick. beds were very comfortable. the AC in our room (1507) made a noise everytime it came on that sounded like someone was trying to get in the door so woke us up most of the night. valet service was terrible and took 40 minutes to bring our car even after we text and had to go to the front desk for help. mexican radio restaurant in the hotel was terrible service, we waited 45 minutes for brunch food and only after got up to find someone to check on our food. when the food came out it was wrong and the eggs had a ton of salt and we couldn’t eat them. The restaurant manager came over and was disingenuous in his apology.

Any other stay, this average hotel would be just that — average. Centrally located. But that also means you can hear all the traffic and sirens outside. The AC was broken in my room during a 100 degree heat wave. (They also seem to not run AC at all in the hallways and common areas.) At first they told me the AC would turn on with motion. But then I woke up at 2 AM with the room temperature at 80 degrees. The next day they said the AC was broken hotel-wide, and the manager Ana promised a 50% discount on the first night. After checking out, they still charged me full price, and are now ignoring my emails and calls. Stay away. Plenty of other options.

When I first got there I was giving the wrong room for what I paid for I should have gotten the right room. So I had to review the choice I made from booking.com to their actual hotel website and they finally was able to switch me

The adjoined restaurant left much to be desired with staff not as friendly, limited options and Card only dining. The roof top (a main reason for the stay to have a view without having to stay out late) was closed the first two nights for private events and the final night of our stay closed early at 9p. Super disappointed

Great location

This is a great location and minutes from the United Center. The rooms are inviting, spacious, clean and quiet. Very affordable. The Mexican Radio restaurant attached to the lobby offers a great atmosphere, fabulous food & drink and music. Mexican Radio a great place to unwind after a flight and getting through traffic from the airport. In the morning, Mexican Radio serves a great breakfast. I can't wait to come back and stay a few more days.

I didn't like there wasn't a lobby restroom...you either had to go down or up to use the restroom if you were at the Mexican Radio.

Bad and rude customer service. Communicate like they are above all. Turn down every ask. They looked at your status and assumed you never travel with them and treat you the worse. I’ve stayed with Hyatt multiple times and this time is the worse

The room was nice.The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. The water got hot immediately.

There was only one ice maker in the entire hotel. It was a hassle to have to go down fifteen stairs to get ice. The first day our room did not get cleaned. I called down around three thirty, and they offered to clean the room.But at that point it was late. They quickly brought up towels, soap and coffee. The refrigerator was old and did not get cold. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good.The hours could have been a little bit later, especially on the weekend. It would have been nice to have twenty four hour room service.

The location is excellent. Only a 10 minute walk from the bean. The room was big enough, I liked the bathroom, everything looked and felt clean. The value felt great and I didn't hear any noise. Also the AC was perfect. And the room comes with free water bottle. I would come back to this place if I had to come back to Chicago.

Location was the only good thing about this hotel, it was close to Willis Tower which was good.

We stayed specifically for the rooftop area, upon check in we were told it was closed due to weather but it was not raining. The website said valet parking was $65 but when we arrived it was $83 and they refused to honor price. Payed extra to book a high room and we received the bare minimal on 12th floor with a view of a construction site. When we got in the room the toilet wouldn’t flush toilet paper, walls were dirty and the A/C was not working, it was 77 in our room during a heatwave. When I called front desk they said the A/C is tricky like they already knew it was broken, they did send someone up, but their excuse was they had to reset the breaker to the A/C unit. The amount of money spent for this room I expected it to be ready and comfortable upon my arrival but it was far from that.

City of Chicago was awesome and the Hyatt Centric was a well-kept modern place to stay with helpful staff. They had a beautiful view from the rooftop bar and a great place to eat at The Mexican Radio

Staff was wonderful, the girl was very nice, patient, and helpful. Is nice to find people nice like her, after a long trip on the road. Tell u the truth, I always read comments of different hotels, and to add I've to admit I try to book in Capestry Hotel by Hilton and the customer assistance was VERY disappointing NO help when I was trying to make a reservation. So I keep reading reviews, and I read some reviews of YOUR hotel and I make my decision, I booked and I'm not disappointing at all.

Excelente trato de Carolina

The Hyatt Centric is conveniently located in the heart of the Chicago Loop. Close to the El, great restaurants and within walking distance to The Art Institute, Printers Row, Millennium Park, Chicago River Walk and the River North neighborhood. We ended up staying in one of the suites, which was phenomenal. It had excellent views of the Loop and we could also see the lake—even though it was a sliver between the buildings. The room was clean and quiet and exceeded my expectations.

The location.

The room had a smell. The phone didn’t work. I called to have the phone fixed and it never happened. Housekeeping only came once. I had a king suite and the bed was definitely a queen and very low to the ground.

We had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Centric. The rooms and bathrooms were incredibly spacious, and the location is super convenient—an easy walk to tons of local attractions. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee, water, and fruit available daily. To top it off, the Onsie Mexican restaurant was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

The only downside was a glitch with our booking.com reservation—even though I had prepaid, the hotel system showed a balance due and they tried to charge me again. The front desk was able to sort it out and fix it, but it was a bit annoying to deal with right at check-in. Overall though, a great stay and I'd highly recommend it!

Perfectly fine. A bit tired, a bit uninspired decor and amenities in the small room. Elevators loud because each room abuts the shaft. Elevators were not working well when we were there -- only 1 or 2 of the 4-6 elevators were working, including Service elevators. Waits up to 10 minutes, and since we were on floor 20, took forever to get through all the stops. Staff didn't tell us at checkin, we had to find out the next morning thru experience and it made us late. Not nice. Didn't get better in the 3 days we were there. No compensation offered to us -- they did give a single free drink ticket to my family in another room. Bathroom was awkwardly set up (couldn't keep a bathmat down and still open the shower door) and shower leaked into the main room. This is downtown Chicago, there are SO many choices from Hyatt and competitors -- I recommend you choose elsewhere. If this was a budget hotel, I'd be fine with everything but this was $300+ night. Bright spots: housekeeping was excellent and even put a bouquet in a vase for us, nice touch. Breakfast (not free, not hotel owned) at the Mexican place attached was quite good.

No microwave for guest to use and the room refrigerator was not working upon check in but staff quickly responded and got it replaced

Location, room size, and cleanliness were good. Good bed pillows and linens.

There are no drawers in the room, to store bulkier or folded clothing. A big drawback in a major corporate hotel. Another big shortcoming is the lack of water-bottle recycling. Each room receives two plastic bottles per day. Into the general trash they go. Poor leadership and stewardship on Hyatt’s scorecard!

My room was not cleaned on the third day of my stay, and the explanation from the front desk was that “our hotel room is cleaned every other day unless you specifically request it to be cleaned every day”, which is obviously not true since I’ve stayed at Hyatt Centric hotels in NY and Philly where rooms are cleaned every day without being requested.

Location was great, didn't eat breakfast, it was quiet and easy to get to

Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful. I LOVED the bathroom! Enjoyed the big soaker tub and large walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean, and the location was fantastic for everything we needed to get to.

The only complaint I have is that the bed only had a comforter on it, and even with the AC on it was a little too warm. Would have really like a flat sheet and maybe a light blanket on the bed to be able to adjust temperature more comfortably.
