The breakfast was good but could be.a little better.
Sehr gute Lage in einem schön renovierten historischen Gebäude.
The staff where great ,the breakfast was very good
The property is very well maintained, the rooms were clean and spacious and the covered parking was great.
Location, friendly staff
Been here many times. Always very good. This time the room was not properly vacuumed, had a bad musty odor … expect management trying to cut corners
I was welcomed by a exceptionally friendly and helpful employee who checked me in and on her own initiative moved me to a better room than what I had been scheduled to use. I thought the hotel was interesting architecturally and loved it over a conventional box hotel. I also enjoyed the "arts" part of the hotel concept. Made me want to take up drawing again.
The price point was a bit more than I would typically spend, but I though it was worth it.
Everything was terrific except for the breakfast buffet. Ran out of bacon. Fresh fruit was not fresh. Coffee not very good. no pancakes, french toast, fresh baked muffins (come on, you're in Lancaster for heaven's sake!)

We stayed in room 403. The room was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable and the hotel is in a good location. We will return and request the same room we stayed. The staff was nice and helpful.
Fabulous hotel! Unique decor. Wonderful staff! Immaculately clean. Restaurant staff and food were great
Third time staying at this lovely boutique hotel. Always our first choice anytime we’re spending a few days in Lancaster County. Staff was helpful and friendly. They’ve done a great job preserving the feel of the original historic building, but with updated functionality. Great location in a walkable city. Very clean. Bonus points for a fabulous restaurant in the ground level!
Parking was easy and close by. The hotel is beautiful, the art amazing. The young lady at check in was so kind and gave me a map with lots of info. My room was clean and cozy. The turn down service was a nice touch. I had drinks and dinner at the bar downstairs and it was delicious and the bartender was very friendly. There are drawing pads in the room if you feel inspired and they hang the art in the elevator. Very cool. Would 100% stay again if I was in the area.
Everything comfortable except in couch room av wasn't working well.
A bit old ish and rustic
Location. We had a great view of some fireworks from our room. The room was very clean. The free breakfast was great!
Nothing
The room was clean and the breakfast was appropriate. The room is nicely decorated.
The room had a provisional air conditioner installed (seemingly as permanent). Due to this the window could not be opened but all the noise from outside (main street) came in (was woken up every 1-2 hours by loud music cars etc). The receptionist in the evening was efficient but unpleasant (speaking to us no eye contact continues looking at her things, when asked for a restaurant recommendation just handed out a copy of two papers no comment, etc). In the morning this was better.
Ligging en sfeer
Zeer luidruchtige centrale airco, de vloer daverde er zelfs van, en er stond een bijkomende mobiele airco met slang door het raam naast ons bed
It’s a very successful, reworking of an industrial building. I love the art scene. Very interesting menu at the restaurant.
Coming from downtown Lancaster it was hard to find the parking area. There should be a clearer sign.
Beautiful building. Great parking. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast was good. Art on wall was beautiful.
Quiet, beautiful space with wonderful staff! Room was very comfortable and spacious.
Overall, we enjoyed our one-night stay here. The room was great - nicer than a typical standard room. The location was convenient for exploring attractions in Lancaster. There was adequate covered parking. Breakfast was fine but a bit disappointing in terms of variety of options and quality (e.g., instant oatmeal packets vs steel cut oats, pancake machine vs. real pancakes).
Vintage, artistic and cozy.
I have stayed here many times before and love every time; This time was especially enjoyable because of Angie's hospitality, patience, and friendliness accompanied by her sincere aptitude in helping my two kids and I enjoy the holiday weekend despite the unbearable heat
Ideally situated for those visiting Franklin & Marshall College but also surprisingly central to downtown Lancaster too. It's also very close to the Amtrak station. I thought the room was super cool, with exposed brick and a kind of loft feel. The arts focused touches didn't go unnoticed - a rose left on the bed, sketchbook to use, art books. Free breakfast isn't amazing but does the job. The lobby works for a hangout spot or waiting for an uber. We enjoyed our stay!
It's originally Kool stuff and a wonderful staff that made staying there was incredible! It was the that just took me to another place of the day's peace.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, loved the artwork everywhere, good location
Everything,
Nothing not yo like
The entire staff was outstanding! I selected this hotel for the atmosphere, and I was not disappointed. The sketch book in my room was an unexpected pleasure. Great value!
The staff went well beyond expectations. We went to celebrate my mom’s retirement by traveling on an Amtrak train from New Orleans to Pennsylvania. Once we were in Lancaster we chose this lovely hotel for our stay. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in all aspects. My aunt has stage 4 cancer and had many issues, but they didn’t mind going the extra mile to help us. The manager stayed in touch with us daily to make sure we were all okay and enjoying our stay. She even left a few goodie bags in our hotel for choosing to stay there. Everyone was so helpful with advice and all so friendly. I wish all hotel staff were this amazing. I travel a lot for our business, and in all my years of stays (which are usually 2-5 day stays), I’ve never met a staff that were so friendly, helpful, and amazing as this crew. The owner should be very proud to have such an awesome staff! That includes the maids, helpers, desk clerk, manager, as well as the restaurant and bar staff. I highly recommend this place if you’re traveling through and need a place to stay for the night or even the week. It’s worth the money and the people are awesome!
The parking garage is kind of closed in and isn’t a place to wonder alone especially at night. I myself didn’t have any issues, it’s just as all females it made me feel uncomfortable. But me and my sister went together as a pair to load our luggage and then we drove to the front to pick up my mom and aunt. Just for safety reasons. But overall we didn’t have any issues. I just would recommend a double up when going to the car and coming from it if you’re a lady. Otherwise, I really have no complaints.
1. How close it was to town. 2. Breakfast included. 3. Restaurant was excellent! 4. Clean.
1. Hard to find dinner on a Monday. 2. Front desk directions to places weren't always clear. 3. Parking was confusing. 4. Slight sewage smell, intermittent.
The hotel is in a great location with covered parking. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. There are special touches that you don't see in other hotels (bottled still water, fluffy robes, and great bathroom amenities). The staff is very courteous and happy. Although we were only there for one night, I felt like I was on vacation because of our stay there. This place has a very cool vibe. You'll love it!
Great Spot to stay in the area. Friendly service. Wonderful hotel bar and restaurant. Downtown Lancaster is a mini Philadelphia. Great restaurants, shopping and things to do in the area. The rooms are clean and well done. Loved all the art decorating the walls. We will definitely stay again!
The robes are nice. However they need to order plus sized robes. The robes fit a small thru large
Everything
Nothing
That the hotel is a renovated factory
Didn’t like breakfast-rubbery fruit and powdered eggs
The location was perfect to attend our friend 50th birthday extravaganza. Plus it was the cheapest (by $100!!) compared to other hotels my friend had recommend in the area. It was quiet, and the art had me stopping every few steps on the way to our room. Even the furniture in the lobby was show stopping to me! We arrived very late, and there was a young gentleman there, very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. -We’re also avid concert goers, especially the band Phish, I have seen them over 300 times. In the elevator we instantly noticed a customers drawing hanging that was Phish related. (THAT made me beyond intrigued and happy, too. - see attached photo)!! The room itself was inviting, had everything we could have needed and then some. I like the temperature to be freeing cold, and when I turned on the AC to 66° it stayed that temp for the entire night. There was also a paper pad with pencils and pens that we could have used to make art for the hotel to frame and hang if we wanted to. Could not be happier with our one night experience, would definitely recommend to anyone else AND stay there again if we visit Lancaster again. We had an undisturbed, comfortable, AND COLD, good nights sleep before our 3.5 hour drive back home. 👍🏻👍🏻💯
We had a great time. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room and any public space that we were in were very clean and well maintained. Love the Vibe of the hotel! The food at John J. Jeffries Restaurant was awesome. Waitstaff were very attentive. A Special shout out to David our waiter, who went out of his way to give us some places to visit while in the area. We will be back!! Thank you
Great building, art, etc.
We were at this property 15 years ago and it hasn’t been updated since. It’s a little tired… rugs, broken blinds
This is a very quaint place to stay. It is in a good walkable location in downtown Lancaster. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I stay here quite often and the rooms on the lower levels have a lot of street noise.
Deirdre was the most incredibly helpful while we planned our wedding stay and wedding block. The hotel is gorgeous, any candid taken in the building is guaranteed to look amazing because the architecture is beautiful. Exposed bricks, unique and tasteful art, and staff that are so happy to help. We arranged to have our First Look in the hotel on the outdoor patio and couldn't have been more happy with the choice. Everyone was so excited for us and very accommodating when we asked for specific chairs, etc, in the rooms. The booking process for guests was a bit of a challenge but once we told guests to call instead of use their website it went much easier!
Schönes Konzept.Ein Ort mit Charme und einem hervorragenem Restauraunt mit outside sitting.
Vom Frühstück hätte ich mehr erwartet.
The location was convenient to shopping and entertainment venues. Some were walkable. My room was very comfortable with everything I would need to start my morning plus end my day in comfort for a good nights sleep. All the hotels staff were pleasant and accommodating.
Perfect cozy hotel in middle of Lancaster. Room was excellent and very comfortable. We were able to walk to an event at the theater and around Lancaster easily. Restaurant and bar were also excellent. Onlything to know is that the elevator is a bit slow so be patient!
Sehr außergewöhnliches Hotel mit tollen Frühstück und kleiner Aufmerksamkeit (Rose und Süßigkeiten am Bett)
The hotel is beautiful! The free breakfast was very nice and the staff was friendly.
Our window was half open so they could feed a free standing ac tube through it. The "open" half had cardboard and painters tape covering it. While I was relieved that the room had ac, no one slept because we could hear street traffic and people coming and going all night (our room was directly above the entrance of the hotel). For the amount of money we paid, I would not have expected this.
Location is excellent
I was placed next to a mechanical room so not sure if the hvac sounded high normally or because I was placed there that the noise was just too loud but in general as I walk through the hotel there was a lot of mechanical noise , seems like a common problem across so I don’t think I would stay there again
Quaint older building that was impeccably clean.
Nothing
Me encantó el hotel en grneral
La cama fue un poco incómoda, pequeña para dos personas
Lovely hotel, great location. Very tastefully decorated paying respect to the original building. The club queen was a little smaller than anticipated but had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We dined at John Jeffries and had a great meal. One of the few hotels that has a standard 12noon checkout!
Location close to work
Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. I highly recommend staying here!
My husband and I absolutely love Lancaster Arts Hotel - hands down favorite! Staff is wonderful, rooms are so charming - it's the only place we want to stay when we're in the Lancaster area 😊
Good location. Safe area.
The room size was quite small, bed was even smaller. The breakfast had less options. Also the Coffee maker inside the room wasnt working. The blinds on the window did not fully block the outside lights.
Absolutely everything I think it’s the most amazing place that I have stayed at!
There was nothing not to like everything exceeded my expectations!
This place is great! The rooms are slightly on the cozy side, but the space is very well planned out and furniture thoughtfully placed, so the effect is one of comfort and everything you need. The beds, the bathroom, the good quality in-room coffee are all wonderful and make your stay feel delicious. The breakfast was delicious too, although I was too afraid to use the pancake machine. It looked cool though. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were quiet. They provided a sketchbook in the room so that you can draw something while you are there. You then leave the sketchbook for the next guest to use. If you want, you can leave your sketch for them. They had a bunch of guest art displayed around when we were there. Covered parking is included. I thought the place was beautiful and a great value for the price.
nice room with excellent character and great water pressure. loved the whirlpool tub!
The bicycle available for loan to guests, I used it every day.
Nothing
The hotel is fine. We had a room in the newer section facing the lobby entrance, over the parking garage. At 508 am the garbage truck arrived and emptied trash and many glass bottles right under our window. I mentioned this at checkout and was told they had no control over when the trash was picked up,but she would notify a manager. If you want a good nights sleep I don’t recommend this hotel.
Great room and helpful friendly staff. Excellent Bar.
The room was very nice. The bed was hard. It was very noisy. You could hear everything outside and from above . When the person showered upstairs, it was very loud. The bar closed at 10pm which was early. I really wished they had the water in the lobby to refill your water bottles…, the ones that most hotels have with lemons inside. Parking was tight because it was crowded and a weekend. Having the restaurant in the lobby was a definite plus and the food was delicious. The stores nearby was also a plus.
Lovely rooms breakfast was great. No taps on in the bar was a little dissapointing ...but overall a good visit with family for a wedding
It was our wedding night. Private group dining at John J. Jeffries in the hotel complex, which was fantastic, and had a wonderful overnight experience. Highly recommend!
Cute boutique hotel, historic building, comfortable clean room.
Nothing.
Beautiful building, perfect location, nice and helpful staff.
Nothing!
I loved this converted old brick warehouse, with it's giant wooden beams and old oak floors! The room had a gorgeous, modern bathroom, the bed was great, there was a desk and chair, a small frig, and an armoire with 2 comfy robes in it, as well as coffee fixings. The Continental breakfast was excellent - crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, breads, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee - even a pancake machine! A definite step above chain hotels, and right in downtown!
Location was accessible to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff.
My room was right by the elevator and the ice machine.
Shower was fantastic
Room was not clean, stain on chair and months of dust under bed
Beautiful hotel Highly recommend it. The brick walls and lots off art everywhere. Definitely would stay again. FYI The bar attached to the hotel John J. Jeffries which is not owned by Art hotel!! Would avoid it, very rude staff.
The amenities were nice, comfy bed, big bathroom. Breakfast was average.
We had room 400 and the temp was a constant 80 degrees. Someone from the front desk came up and replaced our thermostat battery at 2am and reset the breaker. Still no change. Slept poorly and showering didnt help either. Really kind of ruined the stay.
Love love love the Lancaster Arts Hotel. Our room is beautiful. We always have dinner at Jeffries which I give 5 stars. Complimentary breakfast has everything you could want and Kat is so sweet.
It’s a unique venue in a historic tobacco warehouse. As we only stayed for three nights and Lancaster is an old walkable town, we didn’t rent a car. Walking from the Amtrak Station and around, was easy as for the central location of the hotel. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was good.
It’s in between close-by streets, but due to the fast that there are traffic lights upfront, the little traffic noise didn’t bother at all.
Great bar and fantastic restaurant. Room was wonderful. We’ll be back!
Requested room in historic section, high floor. Did received this request and was able to check in a little early. Breakfast was very good as well.
Everything was exceptable.
Great breakfast!!
There was a very nice smell in the lobby area, however it was very over powerful!!! Too much! We loved the hotel!!
i love how this is walking distance from a lot of cool areas in the city. also the guest passes to the ymca are super clutch as well
The artists environment
Traffic
The room was far beyond expectations.
Great stay. All was solid
What a beautiful hotel, everyone was so nice and loved our room
Excellent experience! Rooms were really unique, and the atmosphere was great! The restaurant had great drinks and great food as well. Definitely will stay there again as my first choice.
everything great except noise
asked for a quiet room and were placed directly across from the maids room and beside the stair door to the parking garage.
The decor was very nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast both days was hot and tasty. Staff cleaned up asap when someone got up and left. our room was a king size bed with Jacuzzi. The room was very nice and quiet with the busy street right outside our window and Jacuzzi tub was nice. Lots of lighting and hot water was definitely not a problem. The walk-in shower was very large and accommodating, but when we came back for our second night after being out all day, the bed was made, but I had to go down to the office to get more coffee pods for the morning room coffee, the dirty coffee cups from the morning were still in the sink. Was in the Jacuzzi tub for a second night and there was a film around the tub from the bath beads they supplied. Are they supposed to clean the tub everyday? I don't know. The only tissue box in the room was never replaced. The 2nd night stuff is the only reason I gave 4 stars. I would stay here again. Alot of places to eat close by/walking distance. Every place we wanted to go was about 1/2 hr away in all directions.
