Friendly staff and everyone and everything in general was great

We were very disappointed with our stay. We were given the wrong room upon arrival. Though we didn’t mind until we saw the cleanliness of this room. Floors weren’t mopped, counters weren’t wipes and towels were dirty. We were able to get another room after asking. Every time we would call to get stock on our refreshments or towels and toilet paper they would never answer and if they did it took them several hours to get what we needed. The pool was my favorite part. Dining was not good at all. Food was very distasteful. We never ate at the resort which I would highly recommend anyway, but expect it to be pricey if you are not driving your own car, or plan to get extras to put in your fridge, but remember there is no microwave.

Loved our upgraded sea view room it was truly beautiful. I was unhappy with the excess amount i had to pay for the upgrade it was not clear that the price was per night and subject to fluctuating prices so do read the small print. The entire staff of all grades were wonderful friendly kind and helpful thank you! This is an amazing hotel so beautiful with such a homely atmosphere even my 85 year old mum felt comfortable. Few niggles there was limited tea bags and no kettle. The reason that i booked this hotel was for the Spa so i was very disappointed to find that there was no access to the Spa only for paid treatments. This should have been clearly stated in the hotel info. However it must be said that the sheer quantity and quality of food was good and there was something for everyone Lots to keep everyone entertained as well. A lovely place to come with a family group we'll be back !

This hotel is terrible don't even bother booking here. I checked in on September 20, 2025 and you think arriving at a hotel you would receive a great welcome. The staff that checked us in was horrible no welcome no smile. She didn't remind us that we need to make reservations at the restaurants. She just showed us a QR code and said this is your map for the hotel. Also she forgot to give us a card for the beach/ pool towels. Room: The room had a bad smell and we asked the guy that brought the luggage how we can get some air freshener. He said call the front desk that when we notice no phone was in the room. They brought the phone later but it took 3 complaint before I got dial tone on day 4. There wasn't any body wash in the bathroom as I forgot to take mine out the suitcase on the 1st day. I not sure but the room floors are always dusty and I take my shoes at the door. The floors in the washroom didn't look clean so the entire stay I kept sock on. The shower head was horrible and needed replaced and then the new one broken again by the water pressure in the silver cord on the last night. The mattress wasn't comfortable and the pillows are too flat. I needed 3 for firmness. The wall are very thin if you get what I'm saying. Staff: I'm not sure but most of the staff don't look happy there. They do not smile and some are just rude. The first desk staff are not welcoming, not helpful at all. Where do I begin?!?! 1- Upon arrival the bus operator brought us to the wrong hotel, where we waited on line for 25 minutes just to be told we were in the wrong place. 2- Found several roaches crawling around the dining area several times. 3- Several areas we closed for construction. 4- Italian restaurant took an hour to bring dinner. Which was not fresh at all. 5- Pool was closed by 6pm and didn't open until 8am. 6- Was not allowed throw-out the entire resort even though it was all-inclusive. 7- No one came around to offer food or drinks AT ALL. 8- They only provided 1 towel, and you always had to have a towel card. 9- We were locked out of our rooms at 8am on our last day. Then had to walk far to the lobby to get a key card that they did not program correctly. Then had to wait 20 minutes in the heat for security to come open the door. 10- During check out the receptionist was rude and texting and talking to others while checking me out. She did not provide me with the information requested and was a bit rude. 11- The transportation bus to the airport, came and left like 5-10 minutes early, causing us to have to take a shuttle to the other hotel to catch them. 12- The elevator is poorly miss labeled. 13- The was no assistance offered for baggage upon checkout. Safe to say I won't be staying here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I will say most of the employees were Plesant and somewhat helpful.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Family Vacation at Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica! Our stay was absolutely amazing! The guest service team was phenomenal especially Travis, who went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s needs. Every staff member is welcoming and makes my stay truly memorable. The Kids Club is outstanding — fun, educational, and perfectly organized. The team — Nyoka, Dahlian, Shanique, Britina, Jerome, and Anesia made my son’s experience unforgettable. Activities include pool parties, kids’ movies, tennis, golf, and more, and it’s completely free! My son Jaxon had a blast. Shout-out to all the bartenders especially D’Andre and Maxell, who kept the drinks flowing and were so knowledgeable about everything the resort offers. From start to finish, this resort goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!

From the outside a beautiful property. My toilet clogged. I have never stayed in a resort where there are signs not to flush the toilet paper. At the buffet the bacon was burnt every morning. There was never any plaintain. Dunplings came on Sunday but by the time i went for breakfast at 8.30 they were finished. The pancakes were also burnt. Thought i would be getting fresh juice only for it to be a powder. Most of the staff was friendly.

Food wasn’t good, but the servers was okay. Balcony in bad condition, front desk check in and out was okay . Guest service manager don’t know how to solve a problem😶

Everything was great about the hotel stay until my family was forced to pay a $700.00 drink bill for alcohol that they stated I reserved which was a lie. I did no such thing I went to customer services to reserve dinner and was never told that there was 4 bottles of champagne attached to my bill. I spoke to staff about the mixed up and wanted to be compensated with photos or dinner but they totally ignored my request. Double check your reservations before you go to any restaurant on property.

Toilet leaked on the floor the whole 5-days we were there , maintenance guy looked at and said day shift will have to fix , we walked through water the whole time we were there, the more we asked to fix the more we were ignored, also we chose your resort because of the number of restaurants, we were given choice of 2- nights , second night was a late reservation we didn’t go , I think we should be refunded because of our bad experience, we come to the Caribbean 2- times a year , this was a bad vacation

Loved the hotel. The swim up bar was lovely. The restaurant always had a lot of good food. Love the live music and it was quiet at nights.

The beach view was lovely the room was clean but bathroom need some work and it would be nice to have snacks in the room for kids. The staff was great I enjoy the pool

Some members of the staff were really friendly but i've also experienced and witness others who seemed to be bothered by simply questions or requests. The bathroom for the beach view that i stayed in really needs some amount of renovation or proper upkeep. Outside of that, i definitely would go again. All in all, an 8/10

Went for a week from Sept 10-16th. Weather was great the entire week no storms. Hotel was clean and front desk friendly and helpful. Housekeepers and mini bar stocker we had were excellent. Bar tenders were the only ones who rarely smiled or looked happy and engaing. 3 different bars and same outcome. Resturants OMG were my favorite. Buffets were average. Would loved to have tasted more jamaicn food instead of same stuff. Going back as soon as it reopens after their renovations.

This hotel is always fun and delightful. A few departments are still out standing eg, entertainment staff is amazing concierge fabulous. The jerk center staff is not the best cassita in the Japanese restaurant is just wonderful, Johanna in entertainment lights up any situation and this older lady that is always cleaning the are near the main buffet could teach house keeping a lot like how to clean. The food needs to be better it wasn't good this time around too much off the same thing every day and most of the meat are way too overdone. It was too noisy.

This is my 3rd time here..good updates but too many stairs to go from reception to the pool, dining and the beach. There is a lifted but really out of the way. Transport is available but will be much easier with lifts to take you quickly. All the amenities were well presented and service was good.

The hotel keys locals in. There was a fight at the pool after a local touched a minor inappropriately. The staff eat guest food and the was no good in diving rooms. My child is left traumatised after this holiday

First experience at this resort.My Birthday week there. Enjoy the staff. What I didnt enjoy was the food. Maybe more varieties of food. Maybe more entertainment for adults who love to dance and have a good time. Room changed due to leaking in my first room. Add maybe more option in the mini bar in fridge. Overall I enjoyed myself.

We stayed on the family side on this trip….. the staff was warm and helpful however initial sharing of general information was lacking…… we had to find everything on our own. Not much entertainment on site and our request for birthday decor and crib was not done even though front desk made the request in advance. I am a returning guest but was not pleased

One of the worst all-inclusive resorts I’ve ever stayed at. Food was horrible. Staff not friendly. No AC in the elevator or halls. aC stop working in the restaurant.

The food was under cooked. More Jamaican and variety is needed.

So there is the Grand and the Luxury; the Grand is in a period where they are about to do a massive renovation and it needs it 1000%. The location was wonderful, the pool closed too early and the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The entertainment was great, the saxophonist (exceptional), the violinist (exceptional) the Dj’s and fun party on the beach (wonderful). This property will be amazing once they have renovated. So until then stay at the Luxury.

I ignored the bad reviews and I REGRET IT. THIS WAS THE WORST FOUR DAYS. BETWEEN THE HUGE ROACHES, NO HOT WATER (the shower water was ICE cold) and the cable having a error on the screen that says the Dish payment is due (did the hotel not pay their cable bill!’!? We took a pic because we couldn’t believe it. It kept coming on the screen all four days preventing us from watching tv at night) This is NOT a five star hotel. More like a three star. I will be reaching out to Expedia because I can’t believe I paid for this type of service. Over 1k WASTED

Dirtiest thing's need to be repair room service is terrible..i have been there 3 times but this time made realize i am never coming back.. if yal are not going to repair or clean the rooms because yall closing for a year than do it now 😤 its mot fair to take oir hard earn money

The ocean view was spectacular, and I loved the hotel’s architecture. The large pool and entertainment areas were fantastic, and the shopping stores inside the resort were great as well. We reserved the Dunn's River Falls excursion on a catamaran from the hotel lobby, and it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it!

My family loved our experience at the Grand Bahia Principe Resort. The staff took such great care of us. We felt safe and truly welcomed. The food was amazing. We are so thankful for this memorable experience. We will be back, Jamaica!! ❤️🇯🇲❤️

Upon check-in, the line was very unorganized, and people kept cutting ahead. The front desk also did not give me towel cards at check-in, and I only found out I needed one when I went to get a towel. I had to go back to the desk just to get a card. The room looks very outdated and worn. The faucets are loose, the conditioner was empty, and the phones do not work. I complained about the phone, and the maintenance staff took it, saying they would replace it, but no one ever came back to do so. The food is just okay; it tastes the same every day. On the positive side, the pools are very well maintained, and the beach is beautiful. However, my girlfriend felt a little unsafe because a man kept trying to sell her something.

The property is excellent. The staff were awesome. The views the pool. It was exceptional and the food was 10 out of 10.

I felt treated differently as a solo traveler. It was hard to get a table in the buffet - I had to wait while others behind me in alerted parties were seated. Also my experience in the French restaurant left me waiting for over 39 minutes for a waiter to even come to my table. I bought a ticket for the show but didn’t use it and couldn’t get a resort credit or refund. The spa was really nice , the food was good, however I don’t feel as though I was treated well or that my room was taken care of well.

property was clean well kept. what i didn’t like was the hotel was dated some members of the staff was rude.

The food was excellent however there were long lines for every meal. Some staff went above and beyond, others seemed like they didn’t want to be there and were not very professional. The guests at the property were majority locals which was very interesting to see-perhaps they were running a discount. Loved our room!!! Thankfully we got one of the newly renovated rooms. I’d try the Luxury side next time, it will be an entirely different experience no doubt.

Beach was great, pool was alright. Have to line up for food right away when buffet first opens or you will starve because people who live nearby get a day pass and pack out the whole resort where you wait on lines for the buffet and when you finally get there there’s barely anything to eat. A casual meal at the buffet will take 2+ hours just to get some breakfast or lunch and if you arrive an hour after they open you will be waiting for awhile. The restaurants (especially the buffe) have poor ac units so you will be sitting there sweating while eating bland terrible food. I suggest go to the knife that was the only decent meal we had while staying there for the week. The sodas are all tasteless and have little to no carbonation. I am a drinker and I can count on 1 hand how many drinks I had because I would rather just stick with water or juice at that point. Save your money and don’t come here if you know what decent service or food is, unless you want to eat only jerk chicken and the worst driest burgers and softest hot dogs with stale bread. (I have pictures of everything) I go to 2/3 resorts a year including ritz in Puerto Rico. Been to 8 sandals resorts. 14 cruises. I’m an avid traveler and thought to enjoy a kids friendly resort in Jamaica for his birthday. Never again, I’ve been to this brand as a kid and they went way down hill in Jamaica. Now for the good things. Staff are very friendly great energy. Beach is very nice & pool is decent.

I loved everything about this resort. The food, the pool, the entertainment, the comfort of the rooms. Everything was so amazing.

Ride staff

Everyone was very helpful, it was a very large place. Room was great. Hotel just needs some updating. the main elevator was out when we were there, so we always took the service elevator.

Rude

Pretty good, clean, I loved my bedroom close to kids clubs and water parks. I will recommend for the future. I traveled with friends and family. We got up early for eating breakfast by 7:00 a.m. when We returned to the bedroom by 7:25a.m. The bedroom was locked. We had three bedrooms, my sister, and my friend. my friend V. is a person with disabilities and I had a bedroom with my Grandson he is four years old. We had to walk to front desk to report that both bedrooms were lack. This was hard because our transportation was in the front desk by 8:00. This happened the last day. Take care of situation like this. Kids clubs very nice, my grandson loves them.

Food menu was not varied

The staff are all friendly and the cleaning staff do a great job. The food at the buffet was okay. It was not anything of great flavor. At the restaurants the food was better and especially at the Mikado. The downfall was the lines for food were super long. And lots of the foods were quickly taken and not replaced. The drinks by the pool were gross and in dirty cups. The drinks at the bar by the lobby was the best. If you want real Jamaican food the resort does not have it. You will have to leave for a day trip to visit the town.

The air conditioner in my room did not work. We called multiple times and after several calls maintenance finally came and did nothing. We could not sleep due to the heat. There's no air in the elevators or in the hibachi restaurant. The air barely worked in the buffet restaurant. There was no relief from the heat.

Loved the beach and snorkeling. The views were amazing. Rooms in need of some TLC but the pools and everything we needed was there. Loved it!!

The hospitality was amazing. Some of the restaurant was too hot to sit in and the transportation could have been a little better to go off site to see other attractions. I must say the best vacation I had and I will recommend it to my friends and family.

Far from montego bay but excellent property

Initially I didn't know exactly what to expect based on all the mixed variety of reviews. But, I will tell you my family and I took a chance based on the good reviews and boy are we ever glad we did!!! The resort was fabulous...the entertainment team was outgoing and kept things fun and fresh, our rooms and the common spaces were kept very clean (cleaners were everywhere working diligently). As for customer service...TOP TIER ..they really showed true professionalism amd the check in/check out processes were quick and seamless. This is not as commin as you think - at some of the other resorts its a long and tedious waiting game to check in and out. Food...well what else to say except "hats off to the chef "!!!Great Job Bahia!! My family and i had a wonderful time...perfect mix of fun and luxury!!!

Excellent service

Great place to stay and relaxing. Friendly hotel personnel. However, I did not like, when I asked for shaving cream and razor, I was told to go buy them at the store.

Only issue was check in was so much delayed . Anyway as a gesture they promised a late check out by 1 pm as a complement for the trouble they created for late check in

**Review Title: Absolutely Disgusting Experience - Avoid at All Costs!** If I were homeless, I wouldn't even consider staying at this hotel. We arrived to celebrate my son's birthday, and what we encountered was beyond appalling—it was trash, and that's putting it lightly. Upon checking in, we found blood on the sheets. Yes, you read that right—BLOOD. When we approached the front desk to request a room change, the lady there had an attitude and made it clear she was more interested in cleaning than addressing our serious concern. Why would anyone want to stay in a room like that? The dining experience was just as horrendous. There was an incredibly long line for food in a sweltering heat—seriously, the AC seemed nonexistent! I felt especially bad for the elderly man working in that heat; if he passed out, I'd blame the hotel for such conditions. Even the ice cream at the stations was melted and liquid because it was so hot in there. And let’s talk about the food. It was downright disgusting, and to top it off, they charge guests just to bring out a hot commodity dish like ackee and salt fish. How ghetto is that? Overall, this place deserves zero stars. They completely ruined my son's birthday celebration, and I will definitely be sharing my experience on TikTok with photos and videos, including the dreadful bloody sheets. DO NOT STAY HERE. Next time, we’re heading to RIU Family Resort where we know we’ll have a good time. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this hote
