Old and dated look. Housekeeping will still knock even though you don’t want to be disturbed. Very little English spoken. Hard to communicate.

The staff at the reception was extremely rude and bad, and had no clear instructions from the management. Everyone had different thoughts and no one had clear answer to anything. A lot of attitude.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds and a pleasant atmosphere. Room maintenance was excellent. A special commendation goes to the housekeeper on the 31st floor, who kindly brought us a large clothes rack for drying our garments and was attentive to our needs every day. We would also like to sincerely thank the courteous receptionist, Connor, who arranged a complimentary late check-out for us. All praise to the hotel — we will definitely return!

Very good location, breakfast was great with many options to eat, the staff was really helpful , especially Connor who answered all of our questions and helped us with our late check out. Also he organized a birthday surprise for my son, which it made our stay very special.

This was our first trip to China and the Westin Tianhe was our abode for a few days. The hotel is centrally located with easy access to Linhe west / Linhexi metro as well as a few small malls around for food. This is the heart of the business district and also convenient for access to some tourist attractions. The rooms are huge and spacious, a stark contrast to Hong Kong where things are generally cramped for space. The breakfast spread is fairly comprehensive, as you'd expect from a Marriott hotel, with a mix of local and international options. The bakery section in particular is outstanding - croissants, egg tarts, danish's et al. But it could do with more options in terms of cheese, cold cuts and fruits. The service is efficient but transactional and lacking a bit of warmth, something we felt while checking in. But I guess that's also reflective of the fact that it's primarily a business hotel. The wifi was a bit iffy at times, which was strange considering this is primarily a business hotel in the heart of the business district. While the hotel is conveniently located, there's not much around in terms of sight seeing and its primarily surrounded by corporate offices. While this is a no-smoking hotel, we noticed one person smoking in the lobby in full view of the reception and concierge, flicking the ash from the cigarette in the lobby as he walked out and then throwing the cigarette stub in the driveway right outside the entrance to the hotel lobby. While this isn't the hotel's fault, one would expect the staff to step in and strictly enforce the no-smoking rule. This solitary incident notwithstanding, we had a pleasant stay and would certainly recommend the hotel for a comfortable stay.

Fantastic location, super central. Facilities were great, make sure you bring a swim cap for the pool/spa! We were celebrating an anniversary and received a beautiful cake from the hotel- it was also delicious! The breakfast buffet is incredible.

Прекрасное расположение отеля, всего 5-7 минут до метро. Очень вежливый персонал, приятно были удивлены русскоговорящему менеджеру на ресепшне, который консультировал по любому вопросу, Коннор еще раз большое спасибо! Уборка номера на высоте, практически ежедневно меняли постельное белье, ежедневно - полотенца и халаты. В отеле есть бесплатный бассейн (крытый и открытый), только не забудьте взять шапочку для плавания, но если что они ее предоставляют. Нам так же понравилась косметика в номере (шампунь, бальзам и гель для душа), редко пользуюсь при отеле, но здесь была приятно удивлена высоким качеством продукции. Завтраки замечательные, любой человек найдет что-нибудь для себя. Есть как и китайская кухня, так и европейская.

Хорошее место расположение. Достойные завтраки. Бассейн большой. Есть сауна финская сухая. На 40 этаже ресторан с видом. Спасибо огромное менеджеру Конору.

Ужасный интернет. Работать невозможно. Старого образца туалеты, как из 90х где воды половину. Реально такое в Панаме в старом только отеле видел. Хотя китай уже давно в умными туалетами. Ремонт местами устал. Подушки неочень удобные лично для меня.

This hotel has the best concierge service I have ever received! Karry helped me very quickly with my situation. He provided professional service and it took just 15 minutes for him to deal with the situation with my broken luggage. Really appreciate his service! The hotel itself has a good location and beautiful view from the window. Larry provided quick check in and explained the hotel facilities. I highly recommend this hotel as they provide individual customer service on high level.

Great stay overall. The location is excellent, quiet, and easily accessible. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with good facilities and friendly, professional service.

The room is spacious. Perfect for a family. The location is strategic, with Tianhe famous area. Nice city view. The staff and managers from the hotel and restaurant are very professional and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. It has swimming pool, sauna, and gym. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends, and one day would come back again.

First trip in early April spent 12 days at the hotel as I was very busy meeting with suppliers and manufacturers. Hotel is ideally located, food is great and the rooms a very good. But most of all the staff are outstanding. Very polite, attentive and professional. Although the standard of English for some of the front line staff was quite low it didn’t stop them from providing the best possible service. In particular Connor from Guest Relations was extremely helpful and always willing to stop and say g’day and offer us any assistance. Also, a young concierge staff member named Aescn was excellent. He turned our daily grind of catching a taxi / limo to factories throughout Guangdong into a smooth and pleasant experience and he made sure we weren’t being ripped off. He was always happy to see us and even though his English is basic it didn’t stop us from having pleasant conversations thanks to Google translate et al. I’m an ex-hotelier from Australia and worked throughout South-east Asia and the personable service we received from Aescn, Connor and the other staff was excellent. I just checked in today for another short follow up trip and as soon as Aescn spotted me he came over, smiling and welcomed me back while shaking my hand. Now that’s great service and makes the guests feel welcome and appreciated . I highly recommend this hotel.

Main restaurant on the 40th floor was terrible . Buffet and looked liked a breakfast venue . Waiting staff dressed in cowboy hats . Very tacky . Was expecting an a la Carte nice experience. Lights too bright so you couldn’t see the view .

We had a great time. Let me start with Connor. He was emailing us prior the arrival fee times so everything will be perfect. And as it was my birthday trip I even had a small birthday present. We got a free room upgrade. And he assisted us on arrival. The room was spacious. Clean. Had all of the essentials. The breakfast had many varieties. There is a nice swimming pool too. All of the staff were great. The English level was best from what I experienced during my China trip. All so very helpful. One lady helped us for a package delivery. Another one was negotiating a taxi price to go to Shenzhen.

The hotel is beautiful and located well for business in South Guangzhou. Executive Lounge is nice, although food options are slightly limited. I did have a lovely experience with EVAN in the bar on the 40th floor. He a comadated my request for an off- menu cocktail with a smile and worked with precision while having a smile the entire time. My room was well laid out and the view is lovely from the higher floors.

For a short stay it was okay. The breakfast is amazing, they have such a wide selection of food and the staff is super nice.

It does not come up to the standards of a Westin hotel. A bit old school and run-down. After they did not make up our room for 3 people, I even found a nail on the floor. It was a bit of a disappointment.

My room was uograded to the executive floor (32nd floor). The room was very spacious and comfortable to stay in. I'm very grateful to Michael for providing professional service for my check-in and presenting a beautiful fruit. Everything was perfect.

Отличный отель для транзита в Гонконг: расположен недалеко от Восточного вокзала Гуанчжоу, откуда легко уехать на поезде (1-2 часа). В Китае часто проблемы с английским, но нам повезло - русскоговорящий парень по имени Connor все объяснил и помог с регистрацией. Комфортные номера, хороший сервис. Рекомендую!

hotel is amazing. this is my second stay, they have nice breakfast and rooms. The staff is very polite and communicative especially Michael from reception. Michael help us a lot, and we are very willing to come back again.

Decor is dated and feels overdue for a refresh.

The room size is good, very comfortable bed and environment. I have message the hotel during the booking to get me extra pillows as I'm pregnant and they prepared extra 4 fluffy pillows for me! The breakfast is okay, a good variety. I would say the rice roll is out of expectation and freshly made, but other breakfast options are okay. Maybe worth to save the breakfast and enjoy the traditional Chinese food nearby. Overall the hotel experience is 9 out of 10.

The reception has mosquito and we are suffered from the insect attack. Breakfast is okay but no surprise, spend the money in local restaurants will definitely make your trip more memorable.

Property is outdated, first we were given 30th floor, terrible moldy smell. Then they changed the room to 35th floor. Room was spacious however everything is very old. Breakfast is okay, not great. Lounge access - the food and drinks quality is average. This hotel seriously needs a renovation. Note - don’t book Marriott properties via booking.com or any other travel site because I stayed for 10 nights and none of them are counted for loyalty program. They said, we need to book only via Marriott app or website

This is my second time staying at Westin hotel. I’m in love with this hotel, it’s not just about the location but also the kind and helpful staffs and the room. The room is spacious, with a bathtub and a separate toilet and shower room. The bed is so comfortable and the city view looks so nice at night. I stayed at level 26 and the elevators are fast. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby so don’t worry about eating outside. The Guangzhou Railway station is so close to this hotel as well. I will comeback here, if I need to stay in Guangzhou again.

The rooms are spacious and luxurious for metropolitan standards. And with the convenience of being close to the railway and subway stations, making local and intra regional connections, this is a perfect home base when in Guangzhou.
