O hotel é excelente. A comida é um diferencial bem como o atendimento de todos os funcionários.

Newly renovated, great staff. They did a great job cleaning the seaweed on the beach although it did start to pile up again by late afternoon.
The AC was cold at first but didn’t stay that way though the night.
This was my fifth trip to Cancun, but we chose Zilara at my wife's request. The hospitality and smiles lived up to our expectations—from staff pausing to greet us to the overall service—and we had a truly wonderful time, perfect for Japanese guests.
Everything was excellent from the service to the food I give Everything a 10. Are 2 servers at the buffet was excellent Carlos, and Abel did a great job serving us. Truly needs a raise 🙏
Great experience! Juan was amazing will be back. Food and drinks were great.
great service! loved Juan, fast and very attentive to our needs! offered great drink recommendations, would definitely recommend!
Great service and good food. Very attentive and gave me suggestions that was delicious.
We stayed at Hyatt Zilara Cancún and had the best service and experience at resort and Bulgamila with our waiter Juan and Bartendar Ivan. They gave us the best experience food was amazing and tequila!
Beautiful hotel! Rooms were outstanding and the views of the beautiful Caribbean were picture perfect. Of course the sargasm was bad, but some days the water was perfectly clear. Pools were nice, but small and very warm, you couldn't cool off unless you were out of the water. The swim-up bar is only in the quiet poo which makes it very hard to get drinks from the party pool. The value for this trip was Outstanding. You can't ask for better service everyone was so helpful and friendly. Restaurants were ok, menu's need help in some of the restaurants, but food served was very good. Buffet was outstanding.
My husband and I returned to Zilara this July for a week to celebrate my birthday and also celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We celebrated our honeymoon at this property and were so impressed that we knew we needed to return. I was a little concerned about how our stay would be after the renovation knowing that some of the things we previously enjoyed may not be available, however this was not an issue at all. The renovation is beautiful! Upon arrival we were offered a cool towel which smelled like eucalyptus and was very nice. When we got to our room, we were greeted with rose petals, a bouquet of roses balloons, and a birthday treat. Little did I know my husband requested that surprise for me. Adorable! The room was gorgeous. Completely obsessed with the shower. We rented a cabana at the pool party for my birthday that came with a premium bottle of liquor. No regrets! We had an absolute blast! The show that was put on was incredible, and the service was top notch. At one point we were brought birthday shots and I was briefly celebrated by the staff. Loved it! Jonathan at the pool was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. His sunglasses were cool. We also observed Sandy running around every day around the pool doing various activities without skipping a beat. Couldn’t believe how organized and high energy she was all the time! Definitely good at keeping good vibes going. The food at all of the restaurants was also incredibly good. Olio D’Oliva was probably my personal favorite, but I’m a sucker for Italian food so I’m a little biased in that way. The pasta tasted fresh, the view was amazing, and we got a huge kick out of the giant pepper grinder! However, we were also very impressed with Bugambilia. I swear we almost ordered every dish on the menu. Juan at Bugambilia was funny, attentive, and generous with us. He made us feel like a guest in his own home. I also enjoyed the live music. We definitely did order every single dessert on the menu. Ate at Pier 12 multiple times for breakfast and lunch. Cannot beat the views there, and everything we ate was incredible. My personal favorite was the smoked salmon sandwich, but my husband’s bacon egg lettuce and tomato sandwich looked really good too. Ate a ton of shrimp as well! Spices had a great selection of all kinds of food. I learned a little too late about getting a to go box and taking some food to the beach for lunch. We often ended up in Highlights later in the evening for drinks. Karaoke night was a blast! My throat was sore the next day from singing along with everyone. For our anniversary, I booked the romance package at the spa and again, no regrets. The massage was incredible. My husband actually fell asleep at one point. I apologize for forgetting names, but I think one of our masseuse’s names was Susan and she had a partner. They were amazing at getting us relaxed, which is a difficult feat for two people with high-stress lives. I also booked the dinner on the beach, however the weather did not cooperate so I ended up cancelling and we just enjoyed room service and ate on the balcony. I probably ordered the room service club sandwich 3 times during our stay because I enjoyed it so much. We spent more time at the beach than at the pool. We love the sound of the ocean and the ocean water was a lot cooler than the pool. There was a lot of concern about the sargassum but that situation changed daily it seemed. No worries though, the hotel has someone clean up the beach! We absolutely adored our server Catalina. He was kind, welcoming, attentive, and seemed to really enjoy his job. We loved seeing him almost every day and hope to see him again when we return. The only complaint I have was other guests blasting Bluetooth speakers at the pool. At one point there was the DJ playing music, a group by the swim up bar blasting music, and someone in a swim up suite blasting music. It was a little overstimulating. Seems like the quiet side of the pool isn’t so quiet anymore which is a bummer, but this issue wasn’t super impactful to us since we found serenity at the beach. Overall, our stay was fantastic! Everyone we encountered was incredible and helpful. We have never experienced this level of service at any other property. I wish I would have written down all of the names of the people we had the pleasure of meeting but I didn’t think of it until mid week. Everyone there deserves a raise! We will be back! Thank you everyone for making us feel welcome!
Juan did a really great job with service and powered through a pretty busy dinner. Food was great too!
Service was good, food was great, overall amazing atmosphere. Special thanks to our server Juan! He made our experience so special and welcoming!
We had a fantastic time experiencing to celebrate my birthday especially in the Bugambilia Restaurant with Juan ( the waitress) he did exceptionally great job!
Remodeled hotel. Highly recommend. Specialty restaurants had great food and service. Bar and Pool area was relaxing.
We’d like to point out Bugambilia Restaurant at HYATT Zirara. This restaurant was magnificent. The food was delicious. We got to meet chef Daniel that day. His ideas and food were outstanding. He went out of his way to provide us a beautiful dinner when he found out we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. Ee even gut a cake made for us. Cake was so decadent. Excellent service from the best waiter, Cesa Chimal. He went above and beyond what is expected of a waiter. His customer service was outstanding. His hospitality, warm demeanor, generosity, out of this world. He made us feel so special. We were over the moon with your team.
Overall the resort is beautiful with a great pool area. The sports bar is a fun area but is one of the only “hot” spots at night so it does get pretty loud and rowdy. We had a room that faced out to the lobby and worried about the noise level at night but that was not bad at all. The Pier restaurant is a must for all meals. The hibachi is also a must for both the show and table service menus are different for each experience. Cabana rentals are not expensive ($69) for the day 9-6 with drink service. The water activities Zumba is fun and energetic the two ladies are so much fun. Drinks are great and are different at every place you visit. Beach access is limited and was harder to find. Upkeep on the resort is amazing. Jesus N at the spa is a must for a massage. Entertainment is eh the performances are not as showy as other resorts but they are more local and musical. We had a great time. Do the fruit art with Randy! So much fun and you get a pineapple drink!
Amazing experience all over. The service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The food is delicious, The pools and activities were very nice. Everyone made us feel special. Jose loria, umbardo, alexa, Isi and the entire staff were perfect. Will definitely come back
Our stay was a mix of positives and disappointments. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, and the food and drinks were the highlight of our trip. The spa services were amazing, and we truly enjoyed the quality and atmosphere of those experiences. Unfortunately, the issues with our room accommodations had a significant impact on our stay. We were traveling from across the country to spend time together and had specifically requested connecting rooms and were told our request would be honored, only to arrive and find that this was not the case. What was most disappointing was not only was there no effort made during our stay to offer a solution, alternative accommodations, or any form of compensation for the inconvenience but also that the suite next door to us remained empty our whole trip. Additionally, we were disappointed by the limited entertainment options available, as this was something we had been looking forward to as part of our resort experience. This resort has so much potential. the beautiful property, excellent food and beverage offerings, and incredible spa are definite highlights. However, the lack of communication, follow-through, and resolution regarding our concerns left us feeling disappointed and not fully valued as guests.
I booked 2 rooms. I called to have my world of Hyatt number added. Somehow, the reservation got doubled as did my credit card charges (over $5,000 in additional charges). After many calls, I was told and emailed that I would receive refund for duplicate reservation. Almost one month later and credit card company still has not seen refund initiated.
Everything felt 5 star amazing. Great service and the food was outstanding. Pier 12 was a must for breakfast. Juan Genny and Alfredo Garcia had the best service by far going above and beyond every day.
My family and I stayed here for our vacation and had a wonderful time. The resort renovations are beautiful, the service is outstanding, and the food in all restaurants and cafe's is top notch. The overall experience has left such a positive impression that we will definitely be going back.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing vacation. The resort is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and the beachfront is absolutely stunning with crystal-clear turquoise water and soft white sand. The food exceeded our expectations, with plenty of delicious options at every restaurant. The drinks were great, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Our room was spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking ocean views. We especially enjoyed spending time by the pools and on the beach, where there were always plenty of loungers and a peaceful atmosphere. If you’re looking for an adults-only resort that’s perfect for relaxing while still offering fun activities and excellent amenities, Hyatt Zilara Cancún is a fantastic choice. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!
Best vacation of my life! My husband and I came to Hyatt Zilara 10 years ago on our honeymoon, and came back to celebrate our anniversary this summer. It has only gotten better and better! From the second we arrived, we were greeted with cold aromatic towels, fresh drinks, and smiling faces. The renovations are beautiful and the atmosphere is just so clean and relaxing. It is located on the main hotel strip, but you truly feel like you’re in your own little bubble. Our ocean front king suite was massive and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Top notch amenities in the room include a daily stocked mini fridge with sodas, water, juice, and beer, a nespresso coffee maker, luxury bath products from Bigelow Apothecary. The room also had a steamer, iron, safe, robe/slippers, and hair dryer. It is not a party scene, it is quiet and peaceful, but there is always something entertaining to do. Some of our top experiences were pool and beach volleyball and aqua aerobics and Zumba. Both were lead by Sandy with the entertainment team. She is incredible! She is a kind face full of energy and spunk. She was hilarious and just so fun to interact with. She knew us by name and just made our trip that much more special. Mary also helped with activities and was equally as wonderful! We attended a few late night activities at the sports bar, karaoke and the silent disco, both a great time! The foam party was also a blast at the activity pool! The spa! There are not enough words. My husband and I have had a lot of massages, but this was hands down the best! Alina and Martha took the best care of us and gave us the most relaxing and serene experience! I cannot wait to visit them again soon! We booked a whale shark experience through the Amstar representative Paul at the resort. He made everything perfect for us! He even went out of his way to check in with us after the excursion to hear all about it. He was so personable, telling us about his family, we felt like old friends. Paul was also able to recommend a market to visit and give us tips and tricks to get the best deals. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Paul! All of the restaurants on site are fantastic, but Bugambilia was our favorite! We went twice and each experience was outstanding. We had Wilson as our waiter the first time, and he is the best! He is such a kind soul and he made sure to take my gluten allergy so seriously. He went as far as to have a special dessert made for me and it was incredible. Our second dinner there our waiter was Jose Loria. He is equally as wonderful! He took special time to have the live musicians play for us and was just great to talk to and give us his recommendations. I can’t speak enough about just how kind every single person there is! Nine days just wasn’t enough, it was worth every penny, and I’m already planning our next visit!
This resort is absolutely amazing from the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave. The service is absolutely amazing. All the restaurants were great. The entire resort is kept absolutely spotless. The rooms are cleaned every morning and there’s a turn down service every night making the room feel very comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every morning, drinking a cup of coffee and staring out at the ocean. We watched turtles come up on the beach and nest, which was so cool. The service was absolutely amazing from the poolside waiters to the cabana people to the entertainment crew to all the servers in all the restaurants. Everyone is so friendly and so willing to do absolutely anything to make your stay amazing. A special shout out to Rosa and Marcilino at Pier 12. Mayanine at the pool served us some amazing drinks. The cabana crew was so accommodating . Danria was amazing. We fell in love with Elizabeth and Sandy, the entertainment crew. They were so much fun. I know I’m forgetting some names and I’m so sorry I didn’t want to leave anybody out. If you’re considering this resort, definitely book it. It’s a very laid-back, quiet and relaxing place.
I had an incredible stay at Hyatt Zilara Cancun, and I can’t say enough about the outstanding service I received from the entire team. A special thank you to Wendy Batista, General Manager Assistant , who went above and beyond to make my stay truly amazing. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made me feel so welcome. Elias, who took care of me at breakfast and lunch, was absolutely the best—always friendly, attentive, and made every meal enjoyable. Lino at the beach made sure I was always comfortable and taken care of, providing exceptional service every day. Rosa at Pier 12 delivered some of the best service I’ve ever experienced, and Gerardo, who was in charge at the buffet, was incredibly helpful and always made sure everything was perfect. Daniel at the entertainment was always making sure u having fun . The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making every guest’s experience memorable. The food was outstanding with so many delicious options, and every part of my stay exceeded my expectations. Thank you to everyone at Hyatt Zilara Cancun for such a wonderful vacation. I can’t wait to come back! ❤️🥰🌝
From the time we arrived we were treated exceptional. Our coffee friend Jose was talented, kind and overall made our start to the morning perfect. Abel and Candelano our servers in Spices treated my husband and myself like royalty. Those two men made breakfast relaxing. Our two bartenders at Sports bar were Bryan and I forgot the others name but they were so fun and hustled every time we were in there. All around every single employee was top notch. Always smiling, greeting or asking if we needed anything. We will be back.
It was an overall positive week away from reality. That staff was incredibly accomodating and we were able to fully rest and enjoy the beauty of the place.
Apparently the resort remodeled even though their reviews were very highly rated prior to remodeling. I had not stayed before the remodel, but this is now my favorite All Inclusive in Cancun! Service - 5 Star- everyone from the front desk, to the pool attendants, to the cleaning staff, literally everyone greets you, smiles and is friendly. Everyone. You feel like family with everyone that you come in contact with. Food- this was the absolute best buffet food I have ever eaten at an all inclusive. We had Alfredo multiple mornings and he was amazing. The variety and assortment in the Spices restaurant made me never skip breakfast. (I don’t like breakfast food so I loved that I could eat literally anything I wanted each morning.). The many restaurants for lunch and dinner gave us different options each day. Each meal was delicious with amazing service. The live music we heard during dinner was excellent! The alcohol was perfect. You can call your brand and each drink tasted like it was made with alcohol - not watered down. The spa - to celebrate my birthday, I booked my husband and I a spa retreat. The services were excellent. We had therapists Joana and Mireya. I was able to truly relax. We also participated in the included hydrotherapy. Having never done this before, it felt luxurious to have a staff member walk us through every step and let us know when it was time to rotate. I immediately texted my sister that I found the spa and resort for our next sister’s getaway. On our last night, we had a night cap at the bar and decided to pop our head into the coffee shop for something sweet. They have gelato and multiple sweet treats. If you are craving a specialty coffee or a quick sandwich, this would be your go to spot. For my birthday, we booked the secret speakeasy. WOW! You would NOT know where it is nor did we hear the live music that awaited us inside. The drinks were creative and super fun. You are limited to 90 minutes which was plenty of time to enjoy the experience. I can not stress this enough… every person we came in contact with was welcoming and kind. Where many all inclusives are trying to get you to purchase additional services or “up charges”, we never felt that here. And you would have to seek out ways to spend more money.
The updated rooms are a big win for the resort. This was my second time going to this resort. The grounds are well maintained. Martha & Fernanda were great for our massages!
Stayed here in July 2026 staff was amazing, accommodating, & super friendly, rooms & hotel were always so clean, spa was so relaxing, food & drinks were great but our favorite thing had to be the private cooking session with chef Adelita she was so sweet, the experience was amazing ! We got to learn how to make some traditional Yucatán dishes while getting to know her & trying new cocktails & drinks, that was definitely the highlight of our stay & would love to do it again.
The resort is beautiful. The restaurants are delicious and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend. Carlos Martinez is the best!
Jose is outstanding at customer service and is a pleasure to visit every morning! He welcomes everyone with a warm smile and makes them feel welcome and extra special. He is an incredibly talented barista crafting artwork in my lattes with passion! Made my stay top notch!
Exceed our expectations. Blew all the other resorts out of the water

We had been eagerly anticipating the completion of the renovations, and they exceeded every expectation. The resort is stunning. Every space has been thoughtfully redesigned with modern elegance while preserving the warmth and relaxed atmosphere that has always made Hyatt Zilara so special. From the beautifully reimagined restaurants, every detail reflects the care and investment that has gone into this transformation. Yet, as breathtaking as the renovations are, they are not the reason we continue to return. We return because of the people. The heart of Hyatt Zilara has always been its employees. Their genuine hospitality, professionalism, and pride in what they do cannot be replicated. They don’t simply provide service—they create relationships, anticipate your needs, and make every guest feel like family. This culture begins with outstanding leadership. We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Eduardo Rojas and his exceptional management team. Their presence throughout the resort speaks volumes about their commitment to both guests and employees. A special thank you to Wendy, Lizzet, Luis, Valerie, and Aimee, whose professionalism, visibility, and willingness to engage with guests contributed greatly to another unforgettable stay. We are especially grateful to Enrique Vasquez, who generously took the time to provide us with a personalized tour of the newly renovated property. Our vacation began with a warm welcome from Luis Alvarado at check-in, whose efficiency immediately made us feel at home. Daniel at Concierge was equally exceptional, always available to assist with recommendations, reservations, and any questions we had before and during our stay. One of the most impressive enhancements following the renovations is the elevated Butler Service. Rossy, Jorge, and Brandon were simply outstanding. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask (french fries, strong brewed coffee, and a drawer filled with gummy snacks), checked in throughout the day, and ensured every aspect of our vacation exceeded expectations. The incredible Pool Team deserves tremendous recognition, working tirelessly under the heat - David, Ricky, Danira, Martin, and Abi. Whether serving drinks, helping guests find the perfect spot to relax, or simply greeting everyone with genuine smiles, they embodied the warm hospitality Hyatt Zilara is known for. Dining continues to be one of Hyatt Zilara’s greatest strengths, and every restaurant delivered an exceptional experience. Roberto at Olio D’Olivia provided attentive service that perfectly complemented an outstanding pasta meal. Juan, Rosa, and Genny at Pier 12 made our lunch enjoyable and personalized by remembering our names. Breakfasts at Spices became one of our favorite daily rituals thanks to Ramon, Laura, Gerardo, Abel, Carlos, Alfredo, and truly the entire team, whose consistency, friendliness, and attention to detail never went unnoticed. We experienced Casa de Adelita on 7/2/2026 and instantly connected with “Adelita” and Carlos. It was a fun and interactive dining experience. Special shout out to mixologist at Bokeh, Francisco, who created a non alcoholic drink based on our favorite fruits. Loved the creativity unfold! Carlos and Jesus at Bugambilia ensured every meal was memorable. The food was exceptional and the Pan-Seared Snapper Fillet was cooked perfectly, the best so far! Martin and Luis at Silu’ introduced us to another beautiful dining experience that showcased the resort’s elevated culinary offerings. Sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. The Yuzu cheesecake was A.mazing! Luis at Highlights Sports Bar made every visit fun and kept all guest well hydrated especially during FIFA games. The Local burger was delicious! Our mornings and late afternoons were never complete without stopping by Casa del Café, where Abigail, Jose, and Gloria greeted guests with genuine smiles. Coffee was the best paired with a pastry or two. Ice cream was simply our favorite as well. Our visit to Zen Spa was another highlight of our trip. Thank you to Kenia, Martha, Eliza, and the receptionist for providing a romantic and peaceful retreat. A very special thank you goes to Benita from Housekeeping. Our room was immaculate every single day, and returning to our room each afternoon felt like arriving somewhere brand new. We also want to recognize Executive Chef Jesus Farfan and the remarkable culinary team working behind the scenes. Their creativity, consistency, and attention to presentation were evident in every meal we enjoyed. The beautiful plating, fresh ingredients, and flavors reflected the tremendous talent and dedication of everyone involved in creating such an exceptional dining experience from the restaurants to the beach dinner on 4th of July. To the entire Entertainment Team—thank you for turning each day into a celebration. Your energy is contagious, and your passion keeps the spirit of Zilara alive. You truly are the heartbeat of the resort! Loved-LOVED the 80’s mixes! And finally, thank you to Ligia at the bar, whose outstanding service added another memorable touch to our vacation. It is impossible to mention everyone who made our stay special, because every employee we encountered greeted us with kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. That consistency is not accidental—it reflects a culture of excellence that has clearly been fostered throughout the entire resort. To everyone who works behind the scenes and the names or departments we have missed, please know, we acknowledge and recognize all the details and efforts. You are the reason this resort continues to set the standard for all-inclusive hospitality. Beautiful renovations can be achieved with a large investment. Creating a team that makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed and valued is far more difficult. Hyatt Zilara Cancun has mastered both, and that’s what truly sets it apart. One thing is certain—we’ll be back, and we’re already wondering how Hyatt Zilara Cancun will top this experience because the bar has been raised once again.
Amazing hotel - Service was top-tier - Pier 12 and Baldemar, Genny, Cinthia, Rosy, and Alfredo, all made the day amazing each and every day from beginning to end. The hotel does a wonderful job of keeping the day full of energy with live music, events, etc which is always a nice option to have along with the sunbathing and relaxing. Try to come at a when the seaweed is less, it stinks and makes the beach unusable at time regardless of the the hotels efforts. I think the buffet could contain a few more options but other than that was one of, if the not the best all inclusive experience I've ever had.
Our stay exceeded every expectation. The hotel is beautifully remodeled, and the staff was the best we've experienced at any hotel or resort in the Cancun area. One of the most memorable touches was how every employee—from the housekeeping staff to the pool servers—placed their hand over their heart whenever they greeted or passed guests. It made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. Our room was beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and stayed perfectly cool throughout our stay, which made it especially comfortable. The food was outstanding, and every server went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. This was an exceptional experience from start to finish, and we can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!
The location, the service, and the facilties were so good, it's hard to come up with a negative. I will say that the food was not overwhelming but the service from employees, drinks, rooms, views, all more than make up for underwhelming dining. Would absolutely recommend this to ANYONE.
I had never been to this property before the renovation but we were excited to see what a modern overhaul would be like. This is mostly what guided our decision to stay here and I'm so glad we did. The aesthetic is just gorgeous. Modern, open, clean lines but not aseptic. The F/B outlets were great; I think a couple kinks to work out here and there but overall were fantastic. Bugambilia was our favorite restaurant. The service there is especially friendly and engaging. The modern Mexican cuisine was great. I had the privilege to speak with a couple of the chefs on property and you could tell how excited they were to be in the updated kitchens serving great product. It was also nice to hear across the board how much the employees enjoy working here. Rafael the on property sommelier guided three awesome tasting experiences while we were there. He's very knowledgable and kind; you can tell he loves his work. We hit the speakeasy (awesome), sports bar a few times and the other full service restaurants. Culinary highlights were the Sonoran Ribeye en Aguachile, Salt Crusted Whole Fish, Hot Stone Seafood Soup, on demand seafood cooked to order at the buffet restaurant, and off menu Enmoladas. All fantastic. Drinks were great all around. Decent selection of call liquors. Extra-premium stuff was add-on. Activities were just enough to stay interested throughout the day without being too much. Favorites were the morning yoga and fitness classes with the guest instructor, great gym facilities, pool volleyball, THE FOAM PARTY, aqua zumba, white party, 4th of July spectacular, dancing girls everywhere... Sandy is the leader on the entertainment squad and to say she kicks ass is an understatement. Don't look her directly in the eyes unless you're ready to jump in on whatever activity she's recruiting for at the moment, she won't take no for an answer! Sea turtles coming on to the beach every night to lay eggs also pretty damn cool. We upgraded to a higher floor room which was awesome for a little more quiet and better, unobstructed view. But unless you end up on the second floor right behind the pool bar / restaurant, i don't think you could really go wrong anywhere as the entire hotel has ocean view rooms. We might just bring the (grown) kids next year.
When you enter check in at Hyatt Zilara they say, Welcome Home, and nothing could be more true (thank you Diego!). The staff was incredible, shoutout to Sandy, the best activity instructor! Food is delicious! Whatever you enjoy you can find here, good food, great drinks, nightly shows, fitness and wellness activities and so much more! Don’t tell anyone I told you, but ask about the speakeasy (shhh…). Go see Daniel, the best culinary concierge. Enjoy a great workout with Jonathon or one of the amazing guest instructors. Perfect for a girls (or guys weekend), couples, family, etc. You will love it!
Отель и пляж супер. Очень красиво, отель свежий. Ремонт хороший.
Персонал не мог продлить номер на рецепшен. Теряли оплаты и пытались взять деньги по второму кругу. За 4 ночи ни разу не пополнили воду и минибар.
We went to Cancun for a quick celebratory family vacay to relax and rewind. We had not previously stayed at this resort, but knew it had been renovated and just recently reopened. While we can’t compare it to the way it was, we were impressed and pleased with everything overall. Everyone was kind and always willing to help. The Spa was a great experience and I’d highly recommend! Gym was also great as was the Pilates class. Wish we would’ve utilized the gym a little more. Be sure to make reservations for the speakeasy!! The resort was not crowded at all so we had no problems finding chairs at the pool or the beach. Both pools are great as they were super clean and perfect temperature. The seaweed on the beach was a lot, but no fault of anyone at the Zilara. We didn’t have a bad food experience. If I had one recommendation or wish, it would be that there was a beach or poolside grill. Spices, the buffet, is just a few steps away though and very easy to grab something to carry out to the pool.
We had the best time! Not the party place I heard it was, but that was OK with me. It was very classy and upscale. The service was impeccable, food was delicious and the rooms were great. They were very large all the rooms face the ocean there’s a Jacuzzi tub on the balcony the views are just spectacular. I will definitely go back again.
What an incredible stay with our entire family. At the pool Abi and Jose were great servers - so attentive. Diana did an incredible Pilates class every morning. In the restaurants Cesar, Wilson, Victor, Melissa, and Carlos took excellent care of us! Gonzalo and Sandi were so fun and kept us moving ! Thank you to Dolores for always keeping our room ready for us :)
This is the second time we've stayed at Zilara Cancun. We loved the resort the first time and love it even more the second visit. Zilara Cancun is quick drive from the airport. The location is perfect to get to any excursions as well. The resort has been recently remodeled to be updated and modern. The rooms all have a beach view and the balconies have brand new hot tubs. Rooms are quiet, you won't hear your neighbors at all. The beds are comfy too! Service is spectacular, everyone is attentive, welcoming, accommodating, and a joy to interact with. The restaurants will accommodate even the most particular requests for the pickiest eaters. Rooms are super clean and tidied up daily. The pool is large and has sufficient amounts of cabanas and free loungers. Drinks are tasty and the food is truly 5 out of 5. The food is fresh and flavorful. The seafood in particular has been excellent. The value for this resort is great as well. A special shout out to Victor at Bugambilia, Mateo at Bugambilia, Angel chef at teppanyaki, Carlos at teppanyaki, Abimael at the pool side cabanas for making our stay spectacular.
From the second we stepped onto the property, we were pampered:) drinks/cool towel and so much kindness & genuine hospitality We never needed for anything and my biggest decision was what to eat Some of the superstars we remembered but so many others: Jorge> made us feel at home on first day> lovely human being & great massage Victor sushi restaurant Diana Abi and Jose poolside> spoiled us completely Sandi Gonzalo These two made everyday so fun (& the energy!!!) Cesar speak easy Martha suite attendant Cesar and Wilson Mexican> phenomenal service & so kind Melissa hostess at spice and Mexican> always so lovely and prompt Carlos - whisky bar Erick dj > amazing DJ Danira - pool deck manager> made sure we had everything we needed all the time
We will no doubt be adding to the hotel review as the week progresses (spoiler alert - it’s been fantastic so far), but tonight we wanted to review Olio-Oliva, which is the hotel’s Italian restaurant. The setting is beautiful, covered outside with view of the ocean, and each course was delicious. In particular, we would like to recommend asking to be seated where Guillermo is your server. He was exceptional in his recommendations and service, and was a real joy throughout the evening. He made the evening all the more special.
This was our 26th visit to this resort starting when it was The Royal Cancun in 2008 and later Hyatt Zilara in 2013. Our last visit was March 2025 the last week before renovations began and we returned May 12 shortly after major renovations were completed. It was a long agonizing wait to return to our “second home”. It was so good to see that most of our friends who worked there before had returned as they are a big reason we keep coming back. I’m not going to lie, there are things we live and miss from prior to renovation mainly architectural character that is gone (columns, arches on balconies and wrought iron railing , the waterfall, mariachi statues and the horse from over the lobby bar. BUT, the main reason we return as said are the amazing staff . The general Manager Mr Rojas promised to bring them back and he was able to get majority back. He was also very attentive and asked us and other guests multiple times how things were going and for feedback back. Many people couldn’t believe how hands on he was but we’ve known from many trips last 3 years with him there. Yes we definitely miss the unique look we fell in love with but they’ve made so many improvements like the new Italian Restaurant, Bokeh Speakeasy, pool level bathrooms, added stairs and railings into pools, updated smoother elevators, chairs and umbrellas at the beach and chairs in the pool etc. I do wish the pool chairs were adjustable and that the beach chairs in front of the infinity ledge in pool could move North to provide a clearer view of ocean but we definitely like the addition of chairs/umbrellas but location could improve slightly.
Hyatt Zilara Cancun is so amazing! Been here a few times but this is our first time back since the renovation. The rooms and amenities are so beautiful. Everything is brand new with a contemporary look. The hospitality is beyond excellence as always. Kudo to the service crews. They do an amazing job. We will be back!
We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Zilara for our babymoon. Having just reopened from a remodel, the resort's ambience was stunning and incredibly welcoming. Our dining highlight was Pier 12, which became our favorite spot. The combination of a great meal and a beautiful ocean view was unbeatable. The service across the resort was top-notch, but extra recognition goes to Cinthia, Baldemar, Juan, Alfredo, Rosa, Genny, and Ricardo for making our stay so memorable. We would love to return here for another adults-only vacation in the future!
This is a very clean renewal hotel—an excellent place for adults to relax and unwind. The food is also delicious, and the staff are friendly. On the other hand, if you are looking for flashy entertainment, I do not think this place would be a good fit. As for the season, it was already quite hot when I visited in May.
I loved this solo vacation! This was my second trip to Hyatt Zilara Cancun. The new remodel is incredible and has definitely elevated the resort to an even better class of hotel. The food is still tasty with a bunch of different options. They have an incredible pool stretching the length of the resort right on the beach. They had just a few hiccups during my stay, as to be expected with a brand new opening, but they exceeded my expectations throughout my four-night stay. The hotel staff all made my vacation feel very personal and I can't wait to go back again, I'll definitely return.
We stayed during the very first week that Hyatt Zilara Cancun opened, and I admit that we were a little nervous about booking the resort opening week. Any concerns we had disappeared almost immediately. The resort is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the presidential suite and I could not have asked for a more beautiful view. The atmosphere throughout the resort felt luxurious, relaxing, and welcoming all at once. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and the staff made the experience unforgettable. I celebrated my birthday during the trip and The team went above and beyond to make me feel special. Our butlers Jorge and Brandon made sure that the day was incredible from start to finish. We traveled with close friends and it ended up being one of the best vacations we’ve taken together. The food at every restaurant there was phenomenal. Pier 12 quickly became our favorite restaurant- the seafood was unbelievably fresh ! We loved it so much that one day we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there . The carajillo (sp?) dessert drink was I yummy ! Our server Marcelino was exceptional. By the 2nd day he already knew our orders ! He genuinely made us feel like he cared. I had read reviews before our trip where people said the Zilara “feels like home” and now I can completely understand why they say that. The warmth and hospitality of the staff are truly something special. In fact, we already booked our return trip for September because we loved it that much. Cesar at the Mexican restaurant also deserves recognition. It’s evident he truly takes pride and creating an unforgettable dining experience. We never had to ask for refills and the way he presented dessert was like watching a show! One of the highlights of the trip was the White party. The acrobatics, dancing, singing and violin performances were amazing but what truly stood out was when the manager Edward Rojas came out and to personally introduce and thank members of the staff. It felt heartfelt and genuine and made us feel like we were part of something bigger than just a vacation. This resort exceeded every expectation we had. Beautiful property, incredible food, outstanding service and people who truly care about creating a memorable experience . We cannot wait to go back !
Elias at the buffet was a true gentleman
Hotel has been fully renovated with the same great service as before. Property is on the smaller side which means great service. Amenities are spectacular. Added a new Italian restaurant which is fabulous. If you’re looking for a very nice property without all the big property issues, I’d highly recommend the Zilara.
We decided to celebrate our 25 years together and 16 years of marriage at this beautiful resort, since we did our 24 at the punta Cana last year and from the moment we arrived, we were amazed. The first thing you see is the stunning pool and the beautiful blue beach — absolutely breathtaking. We were welcomed with such kindness, and throughout our stay everyone treated us so well a weekend wasn’t enough. Our room was beautiful with incredible ocean view, and we loved that all the rooms face the gorgeous beach. The room was cleaned every day, and we especially appreciated the nightly turndown service with fresh towels and all the works. What truly made this trip unforgettable was the staff. Like OMG. My wife went before the Reno two years ago for her B-Day and she wanted me to come along. Every restaurant helped celebrate our anniversary and made us feel so special. (Miguel) at the buffet restaurant made me fresh tacos when they weren’t on that days menu when I requested them. (Alessio) would go out of his way to bring me coffee with almond milk from the coffee shop to the buffet restaurant. (Orlando) by the pool and beach always made amazing non-alcoholic drinks for me and was incredibly attentive and friendly something that meant a lot. Our man between my wife and I made us feel especially cared for, and we feel terrible for forgetting his name because he truly went above and beyond for us. He made sure we felt celebrated, brought us a cake for each celebration. One for our 25 year anniversary and my wife’s birthday, gave my wife a beautiful rose, surprised us with a fire show celebration. He made us feel important, welcomed, and genuinely celebrated. If you guys can do anything for getting me his name. (I’m wearing the blue shirt and my wife the shirt with roses) he has made our last day to remember. Also checkout the little special night bar with singer they have that you need a reservation for. It is to die for. They make the best drinks and the singer in there an awesome. Broadway! We will do this every year. Thank you to the entire team for creating such beautiful memories for us in Mexico. This was more than just a vacation — it was an experience we will never forget.”
What an amazing experience! We’ve been to this hotel several times and have always loved it, but this is our first time back after the gut renovation. The facilities were beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Special thanks to Luis, Branden, Rossa, and Abi for making our trip extra special! We’ll be back soon!
Everything is top notch. The food is excellent. It’s so fresh and delicious. The service is also incredible. The pool bar guys are great, especially Abi and Eduardo. Rosa and Juan at Pier 12 are also awesome. And Sandi in activities does the best pool Zumba workout (it’s not as easy as it looks)! Love the pool activities and only wish they had more pool workouts instead of just 2 times a week. The whole trip was so wonderful and I’ll definitely be back!
Our stay at Hyatt Zilara Cancun completely surpassed every expectation we had for an all-inclusive resort. From the service to the food, the spa, and the attention to detail, this was truly one of the best vacation experiences we’ve had. I especially want to recognize several team members who made our stay unforgettable. First, Daniel from concierge services was absolutely outstanding. We changed our requests several times throughout our stay, and he always helped us with patience, professionalism, and a genuine smile on his face. He never made us feel like we were asking for too much. He is honestly one of the main reasons we would return to this resort. Hyatt Zilara is lucky to have him. Saul was also amazing over the phone before and during our stay. He accommodated our requests as best as possible and was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. Excellent customer service. A special thank you as well to Eduardo, the General Manager. He personally came to greet us, and when we had a very minor issue, it was resolved immediately and professionally. His leadership clearly reflects on the entire team. You can tell this resort is very well managed. Enrique the manager on duty was another standout. Extremely accommodating, patient, and kind. We truly appreciated him. Now for the restaurants… every single one was delicious. At Oleo, Hector, the captain, gave us one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. His recommendations for food and wine pairings were excellent, and he genuinely knows how to create a great guest experience. As wine lovers, we especially appreciated Rafael, the sommelier. He was incredibly knowledgeable, taught us new things about wine, and provided exceptional service. We loved talking with him. At Silu, the food and sushi rolls were so good that we came back again during our stay. Victor was an excellent server, and Emilio, the captain and sommelier, was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. Every morning at Pier 12, Ricardo took amazing care of us during breakfast. Outstanding service every single day, wonderful recommendations, and always so friendly. The spa experience was also incredible. Guadalupe and Lilian gave my husband and me amazing massages. Elizabeth guided us through hydrotherapy and was wonderful. Pablo at the spa front desk provided exceptional customer service from the moment we arrived. I also want to recognize Rosa in the spa locker room. I have an issue with my arm and was struggling to put my hair up. Without me even asking, she kindly offered to help me with my ponytail and even offered to comb my hair. That level of kindness and attentiveness truly touched me and says so much about the quality of service at this resort. Lastly, huge thank you to Moises, Mauri, and Rolando at the beach area. They were attentive, friendly, and made our beach days so enjoyable. We arrived with moderate expectations because, honestly, all-inclusive resorts can sometimes be hit or miss, but Hyatt Zilara Cancun exceeded everything we imagined. The level of hospitality from every department was remarkable. Thank you for making our vacation so special. We cannot wait to come back.
Our stay: May 2-9, 2026 (arrived on day 2 of the grand re-opening) Before I get into feedback on the resort, we would like to celebrate the staff that helped make our experience so great: * Sandy - If anyone deserves a promotion and a bed on-site, it’s Sandy. She seemed to be everywhere, all day long. From beach runs in the morning to sports bar events at night, she was there. I loved how she helped rally people up to play volleyball (which I played every day), led all of the activities around the pool and beach, balancing the right amount of fun without being too much. I can’t remember her colleague’s name (maybe Gonzalo?) but he was a great sport and addition to her too. * Danira - The person that made it feel like she was waiting on us to arrive at the beach or pool every day. Danira is very personable and understanding manager, and shows her commitment to guests through her work every day. She was great with accommodating requests to move our reserved cabanas due to construction noise or preference changes, helping with ordering food, receiving feedback on new rules, and helping make our pool and beach time an enjoyable and relaxing experience. * Daniel (Concierge) - We worked with Daniel to reserve cabanas ahead of time and restaurants while we were there. Each interaction with him felt personal and genuine and I think he is a great fit for his role. I hope he finds ways to showcase his skills and care for his work in other ways across the resort. * Daniel Angulo - Daniel was a pleasure to work with and has an obvious passion for creating a speakeasy environment that is more original than anything I’ve seen back home. He was intentional about the invitation, the vibe, and atmosphere in the room. I appreciate his commitment and sticking to what creates a unique experience for guests despite the pressure he may get from some that don’t appreciate the prohibition era vibes. * Rodrigo - As he knows, leaders come last. Rodrigo has a passion for creating an environment that people enjoy and want to come back to, which is shown in his work product. His care and attention to the choices for entertainment, events, and DJs was much appreciated and I enjoyed talking to him (almost every day) to express how much we loved the pool and sunset DJs. This is something that makes us want to come back again this year. To keep the feedback constructive and end on the positives, I’ll start with what could have gone better: * No more ordering food at the pool without the top tier cabana: This was by far my biggest pain point as surrounding luxury resorts do it. You also can’t take food to-go from any restaurant anymore, only from the buffet. I understand some can’t hold their liquor and riff raff likes to make messes but I think that’s where people should be cut off or asked to leave. At a resort with kids, this would make sense, but we chose an adults-only resort for a reason. I’d like to see these rules relaxed so the more mature guests, like everyone we saw over our 7 day stay, can enjoy munchies like guacamole nachos in the cabana that they paid for. * Water pressure and temperature in the rooms: The temperature and pressure are both sporadic at times, resulting in scorched sunburns, trial and error to get it back to the desired temperature, and waiting for a workable pressure in the shower. * Energy preservation in the room is a little too aggressive: The lights and A/C both turn off if one person leaves the room. It also turns off the A/C at night if it doesn’t detect motion. This can be annoying as humidity can quickly get to 90%+, turning the room and the bed into what feels like a steam room. * Too pushy with upgrades at dinner: We were offered to buy a premium beverage at nearly every restaurant for dinner, which I don’t mind cause I am occasionally interested in something special. What I felt was a problem was one particular dinner where the restaurant manager and our waiter both asked us to review the premium beverage menu on an iPad, not once, but a total of 4 times. There should be limits placed on staff for the number of times they can attempt to sell an upgrade to a table. This was annoying to deal with over and over, after already explaining why we didn’t want wine or champagne that night. * Forgotten birthday on the last day of our trip: We stayed for 7 days and I personally mentioned my wife’s birthday to 3 different resort managers so we could have a small cake brought out and sing happy birthday to her. I’m not sure if this was a communication failure or what happened, but despite me dropping two hints to the waiter, it never happened. This resulted in my wife being very disappointed and us having to make plans to make up for it when we got home. While this may seem like a lengthy list, we shared a lot of details in hopes that this feedback will be actioned on and create a better experience for guests that follow our stay. Now, to get into the things that make us want to go back: * Sunset DJ: The solo DJs (which were both females) were amazing. They played chill EDM type music, which was a great vibe on the patio by the pool and helped set the mood for a relaxing evening. * Personable interactions: Bartenders who don’t even ask for your room number for a drink remember your name somehow. I even worked out a recipe for a spicy margarita on the first day and they remembered it all week. * The new room renovations: I didn’t see one part of the resort that wasn’t renovated. The lobby now has big fans to keep air moving during evening shows. The rooms got a much needed upgrade and we really liked how spacious they feel now too. * The beach bathrooms got the renovation they needed: If you’ve visited before the grand renovations, the beach bathrooms left a lot to be desired. They are now modern, well lit, and air conditioned. This was very needed and is every bit worth calling out. * The Spa and Salon: We had a couples massage a couple of days after we arrived, which was an amazing experience. My wife also unexpectedly needed a hair appointment and loved the work that they did, even with a last minute request. * Gifts and decorations for our anniversary: They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary on this trip by gifting us some champagne, a written anniversary card, and decorating our door to remind us how special it is every time we walked into our room. * The refreshed restaurants: Every restaurant got a nice renovation and new menus. While we do miss the old menu at Pier 12 (aka Punta Vista), the new menu is still great for a snack or lunch with a beachfront view. We tried every included restaurant and were not disappointed. One did stand out apart from the others, which I will give it’s own mention below. * The new Italian restaurant: This restaurant was by far our favorite. We went there 3 times over the week that we stayed and every visit built on top of the last. Everything from the appetizers to the atmosphere was great and we hope that this sparks some ideas for other restaurant ideas. * The new Bokeh bar: We loved this, as well as the singers that did a great job matching the vibe. To avoid spoiling the surprise on this one, I encourage you to ask about it and get a reservation! Overall, we had a great experience aside from some grand re-opening and communication hiccups. This place is special for us and we look forward to coming back soon!
Great staff, rooms and food. The only drawback in my opinion is the gift shop which is massively overpriced. $ 9 us first a disposable lighter is out of hand. I was hoping to see some monkeys 😁
This hotel has been closed since April 2025….. for renovations ….. Just re opened for business April 2026…. Where do these reviews come from ????? Please explain reviews

After an amazing experience at Hyatt Zilara Cancun, I felt like I had to share an honest review. I’m a big fan of all-inclusive resorts, especially in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, but our stay at Zilara was something else. It was our 10-year anniversary and we were super excited. The team knew about our special occasion and went above and beyond. They upgraded our room for free and surprised us with champagne and chocolate cake in the room. It was the perfect way to kick off the trip. We were surprised to find that almost all the rooms have ocean views. We upgraded to an oceanfront room on a higher floor and the view was just incredible. The room was huge, honestly felt like a suite, and it even had a jacuzzi inside. Super clean, super comfy. There are 7 restaurants and none of them feel like your typical all-inclusive food. There’s Asian fusion, seafood, upscale Mexican, a farm-to-table spot, and a rooftop restaurant with unreal sunset views. Food quality was great across the board. Portions are small but you can keep ordering, and everything tasted fresh. The hotel is located right in the middle of the Hotel Zone, where the beaches are that unreal turquoise color Cancun is famous for. We were lucky and had zero seaweed during our stay. If we wanted to go out to the mall or places like Coco Bongo, we just asked the front desk to call a taxi and within a few minutes one was waiting outside. It’s only about a 5 to 7 minute ride to most of the main spots, so the location felt super convenient without being chaotic. One of the biggest surprises was how quiet the property is. Since all the rooms face the ocean, you don’t get street noise at all. Even with the lively vibe around the pool during the day, the overall atmosphere felt calm and relaxing. At night it was peaceful, and we slept incredibly well every single night. The main pool is an infinity pool with a perfect ocean view. Some parts are chill, others are more lively. They had a foam party over the weekend which was a blast. There are cabanas around the pool that usually cost extra, but the team gave us a discount for our anniversary. Loved every minute there. The service here really stood out. Everyone was professional but relaxed, never pushy. They gave us space but were always around when we needed something. No weird tipping vibes or fake friendliness – just genuine, warm hospitality. We've stayed at a bunch of adults-only resorts around here and nothing else came close. Worth It? This was hands down the best value we’ve ever gotten for a vacation. My sister in law told us to book through Travelingos, a local agency, and I’m so glad we did. They work directly with the hotel and got us way better prices than anything we saw online. Plus, all the little extras we got were thanks to them. Highly recommend checking them out if you're planning a trip to Cancun. Hyatt Zilara was incredible. We’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to the staff and to Travelingos for making it so special.
First time in Mexico and Cancun. Amazing experience overall. My fiancee and I did the hydrotherapy circuit which involves a couple's massage. We had a nice experience and would highly recommend Bertha Valet (from the spa).
Jim at the valet was stellar. He was so kind, polite, professional, and a true breath of fresh air. He was running the valet during our previous stay a couple years ago and is the reason we stayed at the hotel again. We will continue to stay at the Hyatt downtown because of JIM! Tell him thank you for us. Treat him well. He’s the kind of person that elevates an entire establishment.
This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. My husband and I had the most amazing time. We stayed for 1 week and it was an overall wonderful experience from start to finish. The food, restaurants, and coffee shop were my favorite part. Everyone was so attentive and respectful. We also booked a spa day for an extra fee and it was very relaxing. Also, a big shout out to Carlos for capturing beautiful pictures. I loved them. I can’t wait to go back.
Hands down the best all-inclusive resort we have been to. Food was amazing, resort was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment crew was the best we’ve ever experienced, especially Hector, he truly made our vacation. Would highly recommend!
Staff is so incredible at this resort. Every person employed seems to be there to make each guests experience amazing. Smaller resort with the attention from the staff as if you are the only persons there. Food is a solid 3 out of 5. We were here when it was Secrets Capri and the food was amazing. Beach bar is pizza and no more Cevichi bar. Capri Grill Italian was good. Hotel did pop up lunch and dinner options including a Brazilian night but would have preferred more local Mexican food and fresh salsa.
Spent a 5 day mother/adult daughter getaway at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya...and the hotel, especially the staff, exceeded almost all of our expectations. Having been awarded a Hyatt Guest of Honor pass by friends, we were upgraded to an Ocean Front suite, complete with champagne and goodies delivered each day by 2 of the best butlers in the business, Fernanda and Renata. They went above and beyond to make certain that our stay was everything we had hoped, including a cabana rental for a day. The guest yoga instructors, Amber and Eric Blumberg, started our day with inspired yoga overlooking the water made the trip divine. The entire crew, including the spa crew, was fantastic and the spa was gorgeous. Highly recommend although the place is a bit dated and the "fiesta night buffet" left much to be desired. The people and the vibe at this place make up for it!
Hotel Zilara was an amazing resort. It had various restaurants, exhibitions and activities. The cooking and swim parties were great. The restaurant were top notch!
Hyatt Zilara Cancun is the best all inclusive resort we have been to in a long time . No complaints, great food and drinks, and of course the superb beach location. - ocean view,
Amazing as always ! This is our second time here.
This place was amazing. There’s so much to do and so many nice people. Sandy and Fermin were great, Fermin is always trying to do activities with the guests to keep the good vibes.
Hotel location is fantastic - on the Cancun hotel strip but the beach is still relatively private. Hotel itself is gorgeous - large lobby in the centre with bar and entertainment area, a la carte restaurants are separate in a garden area which made them feel more intimate. Hotel has more of a party vibe than Zilara Riviera Maya (and younger clientele - mainly 30/40s) but still pretty chilled. Great entertainment in evenings - white party / acrobats / stilt walkers - a step above usual hotel entertainment. Don’t miss the cocktail bar (The Den) which is just off the main lobby area We had an Ocean view room which was huge with a jacuzzi tub, gorgeous view and large balcony. Pool has free and paid cabanas. Free ones tend to be reserved by towels by 7am but no people til lunchtime - hotel should really stop this and limit reserving to 1hr. On pool party days cabanas become crazy expensive but you do get a bottle of champagne or tequila included. Beach has free cabanas all day which always seemed empty. Beach area was lovely if a bit busy - a lot of Instagram photo shoots going on! Food and service at restaurants was very good - good quality meat at buffet too. A la carte weee walk in - Maria Marie was my favourite - allergies well handled. Fantastic omelettes at breakfast! Staff are great but did notice a bit of a Hote at all in how tippers / non tippers were treated - it wasn’t easy to get change at the hotel which didn’t help (bar staff were changing $10 from their own pockets - management should really help with this). On a few days I had no change til after lunch and I was very aware of the difference (servers still polite but noticeably less attentive).
Amazing honeymoon trip. Best hotel in Cancun. Nightlife is great on resort so never a dull moment and there are shows bars, restaurants, lounges and performances in the lobby all night long. My husband and I are in our mid 30s and we had a great time. It’s not a party hotel, but it is really fun even still. There was a foam pool party and an all white party on the resort also. They have hookah in one of the bars in the hotel for xtra ($60). All of the rooms are beachfront. I never write reviews, but felt like I had to. Room service is 24 hours and amazing! Get the seafood pasta with extra seafood. There is no charge for the extra seafood. Thank me later! Poolside Cabana is $150-$200 but we sat and listened to the timeshare people and got a $200 credit (they give you the credit whether you purchase a timeshare or not we knew we were not purchasing. We just wanted the $200 credit for cabana lol and it was well worth it! We only listened for one hour and received the best poolside cabana during the phone party with a free bottle of champagne and drink/food service.) the swim my pool was fun. There are comfortable large loveseat type seating on the beach further down that are free and there are waiters that will come out to you on the beach and ask if you want anything to eat or anything to drink. There are men on the beach constantly asking if you need any thing like cigars or cigarettes or… Anything else wink wink lol. There is an ATM on the resort that gives pesos and American dollars. The gift shop sells tobacco, cigars, rolling papers. Etc. if you like milkshakes and want to get drunk, the mudslides are great. Zilara spoiled us… We don’t wanna go anywhere else. I have been to Finest Playa Mujures & this resort was so much better. The crowd was mainly 30s & up and all races, but I saw a couple 20 something’s sprinkled in there. If you’re a Spring breaker or looking to meet guys or girls, I would go somewhere else. most people appear to be coupled up or professional (but fun, youthful, and polite!). It’s really fun! It’s just not 17 year old spring break fun probably lol. keep in mind I am 35. Sorry for typos as I am using voice text and it is midnight. staff was also amazing and so friendly. They put their hands over their hearts every time they see you. Can’t wait until renovations are complete. I believe they will be complete in February 2026. We will be back as soon as they open! Hopefully the price doesn’t go up to drastically. The photos truly don’t do justice to this place… You have to experience it.
Overall, a great place to stay in the hotel zone! Loved the architecture and rooms. Restaurant options were few but they were all great. Shout out to Giovanna and Chef Pablo and Marcos at Asiana for taking care of us, and Fredy for the special birthday treats! Loved that the coffee shop opened early and had lots of snacks throughout the day. Rooms and balconies were beautiful. Our biggest complaint was the lack of beach chairs - if you weren’t renting a cabana, you were kind of screwed. The cabana rental model needs to go.
Entertainment is thumbs down
This resort was breathtaking! The customer service was top tier and the food was amazing. Absolutely 10/10 I have no complaints. And shoutout to my girl Shakira!!! She held us down at the pool side the entire trip. She was so energetic and funny.
We would like to sincerely thank Oscar Mariq Marie for his exceptional service during our stay. Despite the busy Christmas season, Oscar served us with genuine kindness and professionalism. While some servers understandably looked tired from the holiday rush, Oscar stood out with his warm attitude and composed manner. From guiding us to our seats, recommending dishes, to the way he placed each plate with care — every part of his service left a lasting impression. Thanks to Oscar, our Christmas holiday became even more memorable. We were truly touched by his dedication and hospitality.
Loved it, looking forward to my next stay after renovations!
Very average. Nice hotel but poorly organised… was the last evening which we were never told. All the restaurants were shut and essentially forced to sit in the centre of hotel and watch what I can only describe as a strip show whilst eating very average food. Very expensive for why it was, massively disappointed.
Beautiful hotel, delicious food, amazing staff.
BEST RESORT EVER, staff was very helpful and I enjoyed the amenities!
Hyatt Zilara Cancun is the best all inclusive resort I have every stayed at. There are several reasons but the main reason is the location. Every single room has an ocean view, and overall the resort is located right on the beach so you're constantly hearing the ocean waves and it's always right there. Folks travel to Cancun for the ocean, and it's always right on top of you which is the whole point. Zilara also has a huge gym, complete with lap pool that faces west which is awesome for late afternoon dips once the sun sets on the main pool on the beach side. And to clarify, it is 100% adults only. I've been here twice now, and there's zero doubt I'll be back for a 3rd 4th and 5th trip as well. Highly recommended!
We celebrated a birthday at Hyatt Zilara Cancun a few years ago and one friend decided to to celebrate here, as well. The service and food were outstanding again. The facilities were very clean and we're excited to see the changes after the renovation.
Absolutely perfect! Clean and spotless Food amazing Staff beyond friendly Entertainment great spa was wonderful too Pools were amazing and the beach was spotless and white sand ! I have told everyone I know to book here ! Just need air conditioning in the lobby for the entertainment
From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. Check-in was quick and seamless, and my room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax. The hotel amenities—like the gym, spa and restaurants—were also top-notch. Overall, it was a pleasant and stress-free experience, and we’d definitely stay there again.
The beach was amazing and the service was top notch. The spa was also incredible!
What a fantastic experience, but first let me comment on Ms. Evelin Garcia, Duty Manager. What a truly consummate and knowledgable professional. Evelin made our experience very personal and pleasurable. Honestly, we had a few hiccups on the way to the hotel, but once there Evelin made it all better by personalizing our experience. The hotel staff were exceptionally personable without being pushy.; everyone from Wait to Bar to Pool Side staff were pleasant. We even had an opportunity to speak with the Resort General Manager, Edwardo Rojas who was also extremely personable and welcoming in a genuine way. We’re looking forward to returning to this Mexican Gem of a resort and Management Team! Get there if you can too. You will have to wait till the renovations are dine though as they’ll be closed for the next 8-10 months getting the Hotel Hyatt Zilara ready for your most memorable dream experience.
I had the best experience. It was hard to leave Mexico.Staff was very nice. Really enjoyed talking with Juan, he was a good resource. Everyone was very helpful
This property was wonderful! I love the large balconies that all had ocean views! And having all the accessible day beds around the pool and beach were our favourite!!
Best hotel I have stayed at in Mexico hands down. Staff was amazing food was perfect and who doesn’t love bottomless bars all day everyday at the pool. I definitely will make this my yearly vacation home. The best part is everything is getting a face lift this year and will be even better the next time I will be going back! P.S when you arrive ask for Ivan he will hook you up! Tell him Frank sent you.
This was one of the best vacations I have ever been on. The staff is out of this world amazing! I can’t wait to go back after the renovations are done!!
Great! A resort
Every employee we came in contact with was so helpful, kind, and ready to provide anything we could ever need. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Great food, incredible service, lovely atmosphere.
Well, overall service amazing at the place. It was closing down for renovations soon so the prices seemed too high. Location excellent. Rooms nice and cool and spacious with built-in jacuzzi tub. Pricing was too much for ALL inclusive in Cancun. Hotel was not that busy and entertainment excellent given closing celebration for staff. Check in and out too timely and slow. Transportation to/from should be cheaper and more readily available. I'm a Marriott member and thus I like their service for the price better.
Mother daughter trip and I enjoyed every minute of it. We chose the last week of March due to closing for renovations. Hotel did not disappoint in shutting down in style. We were treated as vip’s and got the best service from GM Eduardo, his assistant Wendy and also from our favorite waiter Arturo at Punta Vista, manager Luis at Spice always so attentive, best Old Fashion from Ernesto at Den, excellent bar service from Eduardo, Eliseo, Felipe, treated amazingly by pool attendants Ivan and David and lastly by my very favorite Ligia who goes out of her way to always tend to our every need. I will miss the resort and all the wonderful staff that has become my Cancun family. I will definitely be waiting for reopening to see all the new renovations and to see my family again!
