What a truly lovely and relaxing stay. This charming, beautifully appointed hotel offers an understated sense of luxury from the moment you arrive. Our room was spacious, elegant, and exceptionally comfortable, and we especially enjoyed unwinding on our private balcony overlooking the lake and pool. The setting was wonderfully peaceful and serene, making it easy to fully relax. Breakfast each morning was a delight, and dinner was equally refined and enjoyable. What stood out most, however, was the impeccable service—every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We have nothing but praise for this hotel and would highly recommend it for a peaceful, luxurious getaway.
Excellent location close to resort and right on the lake, beautiful room, great facilities, very friendly and attentive staff. Everything one can desire for an excellent vacation.
Luxe , calme propreté, service, emplacement
Great location, very comfortable room, restaurant was good, pool and hot tub wonderful.
Nothing
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this resort. It's warm, understated luxury with old-world charm. The thoughtfully designed building and rooms featured rich woodwork and natural stone. We enjoyed the private access to the lake and the amenities at Spa Sans Sabot. The staff were kind and attentive. We've visited Mont Tremblant for over 15 years; this was our first stay at Quintessence. It’s the most beautiful property on the hill, spanning 3 acres with delicious food, many seating areas inside and out, a dock, and boathouse activities to enjoy. We look forward to returning!
Our anniversary trip was very disappointing and far below expectations. We drove nearly 6 hours from Toronto hoping for a relaxing stay, but the property condition was unacceptable. The room was not properly cleaned, with dust, an unpleasant odor, and a dead insect found inside. After spending time in the room, I developed a skin irritation and severe itching, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Several amenities were not as advertised: Jacuzzi not working Pool had insects and mosquitoes Mattress was uncomfortable Spa services were unavailable Poor customer service We were offered an upgraded room, but it was actually worse—dirtier, with a stronger bad smell, and loud plumbing noises coming from inside the walls. Even though I have stayed at many countryside and resort hotels such as Muskoka, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Whistler, and Cambridge, none were close to this level of poor condition. We checked out after only a few hours and did not stay overnight. No effective solution was provided by the hotel despite raising our concerns. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not what was advertise
We planned anniversary trip and chose this hotel based on the amenities and standards advertised. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from the moment of check-in. The first room had a very unpleasant odor and a poor view, with a large portion of the window facing the parking area. The room also had visible dust, hair on the bedding, and pillowcases that did not appear properly cleaned. I was extremely tired and tried to rest on the bed, but I immediately started experiencing itching on my body and felt very uncomfortable, as if there were insects in the mattress. We also found what appeared to be a dead insect in the room. We immediately requested a room change. Although the hotel provided another room, it also had similar cleanliness and odor issues. When we arrived in the second room, we even noticed a dead fly that had not been cleaned up. In addition, several advertised amenities were not available or not functioning. There was no masseur available for the spa services, despite this being part of the experience we expected. The swimming pool was also in poor condition and contained insects and debris, making it unusable. The experience was so disappointing that we ended up leaving the hotel within just four hours of check-in, and we were even willing to drive back 620 kilometers to Ontario. Unfortunately, this stay completely ruined our anniversary plans. We have stayed at many countryside and resort-style hotels before, and those experiences were consistently excellent and well-maintained. Unfortunately, this property did not meet even basic standards in comparison. Overall, the condition of the property did not match what was advertised, and it significantly impacted our experience. I would not recommend this hotel.
La chambre était parfaite Le personnel aussi Le souper et les gens qui travaille la c’était magnifique Très très professionnels et gentils
On nous a dit que la piscine était chauffée mais ce n’était pas le cas. Le petit déjeuner sans goût et le service moyen..

Location, attention to details, luxurious experience, great staff, amenities, honestly everything about our stay was top notch. What a fabulous hotel. Can’t wait to visit again!
Nothing. This property is perfect.
Top!!! Tutto veramente stupendo, suite vista lago, pulizia eccellente, staff cortese e attento. Vorrei viverci, qua dentro 🤩
Very clean and chic
Location, comfort and friendly staff
Nothing
Overall, our experience was very good, and I would definitely come back. That’s exactly why I’m sharing this feedback. Room cleanliness — especially the carpets — could improve, and the housekeeping team should also be more punctual, particularly when a specific cleaning time is requested at the front desk. With better attention to detail and improved timing, the experience would be truly excellent.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. Everything was top notch from the ski concierge, incredible food at the restaurant to afternoon hot cocoa/warm cookies. Staff is warm and friendly and there for your every need. Stayed in the presidential suite for 6 nights and the room was just amazing- so big with 3 fireplaces and a private terrace with hot tub. Cannot wait to book another trip to the hotel.
We stayed 4 nihts at this property - wonderful team of people from Elliott (a valet and ski instructor) to the team at the wine bar. Neat to be able to have a fireplace in the rooms.
If I could, I would give this hotel six stars for its ambience, room decor, tranquility, food, lake views and service. Everything was just perfect, if not sublime, - except for the pool. The pool's location and view is simply stunning - but it is not heated as advertised. During my stay, up to 9 guests were clustered in the small jacuzzi and no one was in the pool. Those that ventured in visibly shivered and did not stay long. I had booked a getaway at Quintessence *because* of the beauty of the pool as shown on the website. The photos are accurate. I was expecting an experience similar to a warm mineral pool at other spa hotels where you can just soak and unwind. That was just not possible. Staff insisted that the pool was heated and that the water cooled due to breeze from the lake. Not a valid excuse - and guest actions showed this. The pool was too cold on sunny days in *August* If other resorts close to water (Oak Bay in B.C., Manoir Hovey near Magog, Nordic- themed outdoor spas, etc.) can get this right *year-round*, then so can this hotel, which is otherwise excellent in every way. This is really the only issue that would prevent me from returning to Quintessence.
We love Hôtel Quintessence and this is our fourth year in a row coming back in the winter and we’ll continue to make it a family tradition. This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are amazing, particularly for our little family and the staff is top notch.
Nothing we don’t like.
The customer service was excellent and the room was very spacious and comfortable. Compared to a lot of famous luxury hotels out there, I'm really impressed with how great this hotel is. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.
Sadly the two times we tried to food wasn't great. The first was at the restaurant in the hotel for lunch and the second was for breakfast. We maybe had a unlucky bad experience, but I would suggest going elsewhere for food. Luckily there's a lot of great restaurants in the area.
This was our second time staying at Hotel Quintessence and was just as special as the first. There’s just something so special about this hotel - beautiful, elegant and so well maintained. The attention to detail is incredible. Our suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. The staff is always so warm and welcoming. We only stayed for one night but it’s the kind of place you return to when you want to truly relax and disconnect.
Exceptional service; it was a dream stay! The refuge clagett was heavenly. Looking forward to our return.
excellent quality of stay and food. Service was excellent. Staff was superb. Quality of food and wine at the restaurant outstanding.
Property and hotel building like in fairy tale. Restaurant - amazing service with delicious food. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Not many choices of taxi services from hotel to nearby activities. Their arranged taxi a little bit expensive.
Todo
Wonderful service and the beautiful room and hotel. Food was excellent
Belle chambre avec une vue exceptionnelle.
rien de spécial
Beautiful location & exceptional service in a tranquil lakeside venue. Drinks & food all top notch. Would definitely recommend & return over and over again.
Restaurant excellent but overpriced. Better options in the village

Everything was awesome
My spouse and I stayed at the Quintessence for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. Everything about the stay met my 5 star expectations. The place is a gem and we had a wonderful experience from the moment we pulled up to the valet. The property is beautiful and serene. The lake views are dreamy. The service is excellent. Our spacious room was large and well appointed. We loved the infinity pool and hot tub. We enjoyed drinks in the terrace and enjoyed a supremely delicious dinner in the restaurant. I even encountered deer on the property in the morning, which rounded out the enchanting experience. The hotel is also a quick walk to the village. We’d love to return and stay a couple of nights and take advantage of spa services next time. I would definitely recommend, especially for couples or a girls getaway.
Absolutely perfect!
The staff was really great, especially the valets and people at the bar were very kind and friendly. The welcome chocolates were nice. The room was very large with a pretty sitting area and fireplace. Showers were nice. robes were really fluffy. Beds were very comfortable and linens were exceptionally soft. The food was great; we ate here three times. Close to the mountain and ski area with lots of hiking paths near by. Nespresso coffee pods and real half and half was nice. The spa and gym were nice with hot tub overlooking the infinity pool and lake and sauna. The duvet smelled a bit like cleaning material (maybe recently laundered) but it was not a big problem. It would have been great if they had an arborist trim the trees. We paid for a lakeview room, but the trees were so thick you only got peekaboo views of the lake. I would have loved a few additional amenities like bikes to use, kayaks or paddleboards.

beautiful resort in the heart of Tremblant. Quintessence is everything and more. the ambiance, the staff and the location is ideal.
Location and views
Swimming pool is too small
My wife and I spent two nights at Hotel Quintessence and had a fabulous time. Many of the other reviews touch on the size and quality of the rooms, as well as the restaurant food… so I won’t repeat that. I will emphasize two things: 1. Despite being just a few steps away from the main village of Tremblant, this resort feels very quiet and secluded. 2. The staff are really fantastic, very friendly people who obviously care about the guest at the hotel. Cannot say enough good things about everyone we dealt with. Overall our stay was fantastic and I would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a luxury experience at Tremblant.
We only stayed one night but the hotel left a generally very good impression. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful and although we didn’t get our room until quite late in the afternoon, we were given an upgrade which was very much appreciated. The room itself was huge and very comfortable and really we could not have wanted for much more. The hotels layout is slightly illogical in that you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the terrace and through the wine bar to get to the pool. I would have rated 4.5 :)
Overall great experience. Room service could be improved, we had some back and forth regarding missing items a few times. I would still go back.
EVERYTHING
NOTHING AT ALL
It is definitely the best hotel in Tremblant. They treated me like gold. The accommodations are superior. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, overlooking the lake. The staff are professional and courteous. The grounds are immaculate. The restaurant has top-notch food/service. I had the best time. I will definitely return.
Great place to celebrate an anniversary!
Tout était parfait service nourriture ect

This place is truly special! Beautiful hotel at the most beautiful setting. The bedroom was huge and had a nice view of the lake from its private balcony. The bed was one of the most comfortable bed ever!!! It just sucks you in! The bathroom was huge and super nice! The only thing missing from the room was a nice minibar. The fridge was empty! We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was good. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5-star rating was because of the service. Except for Juan Carlos who was extremely helpful at check-in, the rest of the service was a bit messy. There was nobody to take our orders at the pool. The people at the reception desk didn’t know much about what to do at the village and how to get to the trails we wanted to do. We had to figure it out ourselves. Service at breakfast was nice but slow.
Loved our stay. Would have liked a recycle can in our room, as well as a side table near the couch for drinks while watching tv and relaxing. Otherwise wouldn’t have changed a thing!
It’s the perfect location with very friendly and helpful staff.
Meilleur hôtel à Tremblant. Un endroit apaisant avec un personnel impeccable.
Exceptional hotel in every aspect - beautiful rooms, stunning location and amazing food. Wish we had stayed for more than the one night. Will definitely return if opportunity arises.
Nothing!!
Great service, great people and location always fun to stay there.
The food, the service, the attention to detail. Everything about this is hotel made one of the best experiences I've had!
A little slice of heaven! The hotel staff took care of every detail of our stay. Fabulous room, bar, restaurant, spa, shuttle to the ski mountain and even hot chocolate and cookies for apres! My boyfriend and I enjoyed all of our meals and happily sampled nearly everything on the menu. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay! We will certainly be back!
Absolutely perfect !! Zero complaints
Wonderful service! Perfect ski vacation!
My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Quintessence and LOVED it! We are not skiers - we simply wanted a Valentine's weekend escape from Philly and Mont Tremblant came highly recommended. The good: Beautiful location, right on the lake. Snowy water scenes you see in magazines! Staff is terrific - understated and top-notch service in every area. Room is among the best I've stayed in - ample space with fireplace and great decor. Within walking distance of Mont Tremblant Village - tons of shops & restaurants. Communication was phenomenal. Concierge was on top of everything and highly responsive. Tons of activities - while we're not skiers, we did take advantage of a snowmobiling opportunity and had a great time. Can be improved; Can't get coffee til 7am; for what is charged, coffee should be easily accessible earlier (say 5:30am). Restaurant is a little bit fru-fru - menu is too ambitious and could stand to have some more traditional and simpler fare choices. My wife and I would highly recommend Mont Tremblant as a destination and Hotel Quintessence as the lodging choice; more importantly, we'd do so for non-skiers just as much as skiers! The staff and management at HQ should take tremendous pride in delivering such a wonderful experience - it was worth every dollar we spent! Thank you! Jim & Kathy Rydal, Pa.
Beautiful property with an excellent location and staff. Will return.
Wrote and extensive review in the prior page for the survey about how excellent the hotel atmosphere, room, staff (restaurant, room service, chefs, waitresses, desk, management staff, valets, and more were) but this disappeared after clicking into this next page. Frustrating as we put a good deal of thought into it. There are some improvements in areas that one would expect would be in place for a hotel of this caliber. Bottomline, what is considered to be a gym/workout center is very outdated, too small, and bike was broken so could not use. Would recommend updating equipment and monitoring to make sure it is in working order with staff who know how to advise guests on how to set up programming (ours did not). Batteries were dead on room jacuzzi tub remote and did not know this until getting into it and filling it. Later learned that the panel behind the bathroom door is key for startup, in combo with the remote - not explained very well and batteries should be checked routinely and replaced. Access to Apps for online - Netflix, etc. very hard to figure out and bottom line did not work - spent 2 hours trying to get them synched. Gave up. Toilet in bedroom has a seal broken and ran on and off several times during the night.
For leisure and comfort, it gets no better. They have the nicest, most helpful staff that always go above and beyond, as well as the most beautiful and comfortable accommodations.
Very easy walking distance to the pedestrian village, ice skating, convenient to drive out to other parts of town, efficient ski valet. The room was well appointed, a great layout for size, and so so cozy. Special shout out to ALL the valets/bellman who were so courteous, friendly, helpful, and efficient. We’ve traveled a ton and this experience was the just right balance of luxury yet homey, friendly coziness.
Wish the pool was heated but since it’s a small hotel the hot tub was enough space for an apres ski dip.
The location was stunning and the rooms were attractive, spacious and had fireplaces. The staff were outstandingly helpful (particularly Justine) and really made the stay a pleasure. Nothing felt too much trouble. We had a lovely couple of days staying here and would certainly recommend this gem of a hotel.
The only thing I would consider is a wider menu choice for vegetarians. This won’t affect most people but If you are staying for any length of time, the menu is a little limited.
This was our second stay at Hotel Quintessence, and once again, it exceeded our expectations! Every member of the staff is exceptionally polite, attentive, and kind—they truly make this place extraordinary. The rooms are spacious and spotless, offering stunning views of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning (some of the best croissants I’ve ever had) and had a delightful dinner at the restaurant. Leo, the bartender, impressed us with his expertise, crafting fantastic drinks at the bar. Hotel Quintessence shines in its attention to detail—offering valet service to the base of the mountain for skiing, après-ski hot chocolate, nightly water and chocolate deliveries, and more. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Mont-Tremblant and staying at Hotel Quintessence!
5-Star Luxury Hotel experience ! we stayed for 6 nights and it was an incredible experience. the staff: nelly, abdul, sheila, the ladies at the spa, and the restaurant staff: audrey, all respectful, warm, welcoming, attentive and made us feel special for the whole stay. no request was rejected, no question un-answered. we were nervous initially as it was a 5-star stay / higher class hotel-stay, and we don't have much experience at these styles of accommodation, but now i understand the value of such a hotel. everyone was friendly, and not at all snobby which i was afraid of. the location was breathtaking, the welcome box of chocolates with a personal note, the wood burning fireplace, the spa was lovely in the cold, the wild turkeys were fun ( or are they wild guinea fowl ?? ) and that gentle one-horned deer that hung around, so lovely. highly recommend !
We traveled to The Quintessence at Mont Tremblant for our wedding anniversary and had a simply wonderful time. It is a beautiful hotel, restaurant, and spa in a gorgeous location. This was our first time in Mont Tremblant, and we had such a great time we hope to return next summer. This hotel embraces hospitality, and has an outstanding, friendly and ultra welcoming and professional staff. As fairly experienced travelers, I’d say the Quintessence deserves every one of its five stars. Our room was so comfortable, with amazing views, cozy fireplace, and plenty of space, it was tempting to stay in and just enjoy. Delicious breakfasts, romantic dinners—the food and wine were superb. We recommend The Hotel Quintessence to all. We truly felt at home, and applaud the owners and staff of this great place❤️
the hotel is the best of the best, quality of service is incomparable. This is a luxury property with great views, location and the hotel itself is gorgeous. Food is amazing and great wine list.
Repeat visitors and we have always enjoyed our stay. This time was no different. We’re looking forward to our next opportunity to get back to the Quintessence.
Very relaxing
Everything was perfect. Best service ever in high end hotel.
One of best resort in Mont Tremblant. Beautiful surroundings and spectacular view
All rooms had a beautiful view of the lake! Room and bathroom extremely spacious and nicely decorated. The staff were amazing....friendly yet very professional!
From check in to check out you will be well taken care of here. We loved EVERYTHING about the hotel and its amenities.
Room was fabulous, staff friendly and helpful.
Helpful staff.Great location.
Unquestionably, this is one of the finest hotels we have stayed at both in North America and Europe. We are finishing almost a week here at Hotel Quintessence and the service, attention to detail, food, and genuine interest the entire hotel team expresses is very special. The difference between the corporate chains (we’ve stayed at many of the higher grade hotels…and they are very nice) is apparent and appreciated. There is no substitute for independently held five star resorts. Last year, we were in Rome and stayed at the Hassler Hotel, also independently owned for more than 100 years. When we left we were pretty sure duplicating that level of perfection would be very tough. However, if we close our eyes, the attention to details, service and beauty are the duplicated here in Mont Tremblant. The level of effort it takes to consistently deliver this type of experience, with cheer…has not escaped us. Many thanks for an excellent stay.
