La propreté, l emplacement, le personnel très professionnel et cordiale
Un peu bruyant dans les couloirs
The hotel was clean & staff very helpful with planning tours, transportation, restaurants, whatever was needed they assisted with good suggestions. The hotel was centrally located close to nightlife, restaurants, convenience store. Would definitely stay there again.
N/A. Everything was fine.
This place is not only BEAUTIFUL but it’s smack in the middle of everything!!! Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance! There was a food truck steps away from the hotel ( The Gap Burger) they cook your food to order and it’s delicious!! There is also a restaurant on site which is also delicious! We went to The Dive Bar and The Cove Friday and Saturday and had an absolutely BLAST!! The staff were all super friendly and ensured we had a wonderful stay! There is also security on site, we never felt unsafe! I’d highly recommend this hotel, as it offers gorgeous views, great food and convenience!!! Book it!!

Excellent hotel. Central to the shops and restaurants; Friendly and very helpful staff; great pool;
This was our first visit to Barbados and chose this hotel for its location on the gap and its sea front location. It is ideally located with a selection of bars and restaurants within a short walk, the hotel is clean and staff are constantly making sure it remains spotless. From our first interaction with reception to our last day all of the staff were very polite and friendly especially the bar staff Amaul, Nick, Jacqausie and Shah. The rooms were comfortable with aircon provided free of charge as was a safe, the beds were comfortable and the room was serviced daily even after we had left a bit later than normal. The sunbeds were so comfortable and with the parasols being moveable it was never a problem finding some shade, pool towels provided on a daily basis and never struggled with having no bed. The food was always tasty and hot with a good selection and options throughout the day. We will be back to the South Gap
Second time South Gap hotel. Absolutely love it. The room we had was on the pool deck looking over the ocean. All the staff are lovely. The lady checking us in asked if we were celebrating anything special. They left balloons and a card in the room for my husband’s birthday. We also received a gift as it was our second visit. The hotel is in a great position near everything. The restaurant /bar is open all day and has a nice menu. The lady who looked after our room deserves a special mention as she was so nice. Can’t wait for next year already booked.
My wife and I have just spent 2 wonderful weeks at South Gap Hotel. We were return visitors having stayed there at Easter 2025 . Not only did we receive a discounted rate for the return visit but there was also a gift bag waiting for us. This hotel is an absolute gem! It has only 34 rooms so there is no sense of overcrowding and there are always sunbeds available. The decking area is very smart and the pool is a perfect size. We requested the same room as last year and it was no problem at all to secure it. Our room was on the same level as the deck and restaurant areas but felt very secluded. The apartment was spacious with a kitchen area and a large walk in shower. The bedroom was equipped with a very efficient air conditioning unit and the kitchen area had a ceiling fan. At no time did we ever feel too hot. The standard of cleaning was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic housekeeping team. It was great to see the lovely Lana again! The restaurant and bar area is very spacious and clean and all the team were very polite and helpful. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was amazing , especially the cou-cou and flying fish. The reception team are also fantastic and always happy to help out with anything such as booking a taxi or a restaurant table. The location is perfect for venturing out in the Gap where there are lots of good bars and restaurants. The Gap is vibrant but at no time did we hear any noise whilst in the Hotel. The main road is a very short walk away to get on a bus or a ZR and Massy’s supermarket is about a ten minute walk should you want any provisions. All in all this hotel is a real winner and we would never consider staying anywhere else when we return. We felt well looked after and well loved by all the wonderful staff. Thank you South Gap!
We have just returned from a 4 night stay after staying in New York and needing some peace and relaxation, the South Gap did not disappoint. The accomodation was lovely, clean and fresh, great bathroom and amazing sea views. The pool area was so clean, the bar served gorgeous food and we were made to feel so welcome. From the ladies on reception, the cleaning staff and the restaurant/bar staff could not do enough for you. Well worth a visit.
L accessibilité du lieu, le personnel, la propreté de la chambre et des lieux
This is an excellent small (~36 rooms) hotel right on the strip in St Lawrence. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and are serviced every day. The food here is very good being both of great taste and also cheap! We had a special anniversary here and they did a lovely surprise with a bottle of Prosecco and a lovely card. The view from the room is breathtaking and I’m sure we’ll be back! The staff are all lovely and welcoming. I hesitate to single a member of staff out but Nick went above and beyond on one of our nights there. Thanks to all the South Gap Hotel staff - it’s a pleasure to stay here!
The location, facilities and the service provided by the staff are all superb. The kitchenette facilities are way more than you’d find in 90% of properties. Seriously impressive!!
I’m a solo traveller so it was a bit expensive for one, but for a couple it would be very good value
The view from our balcony was stunning, and listening to the waves from there was dreamy!
Great location.
Excellent hotel. Location is fab, bars, restaurants, shops and beaches all within easy walking distance. Local buses close by and taxis are easily available. Rooms are well equipped and cleaned daily to a high standard as are communal areas. Staff are helpful and polite, will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. On site bar and restaurant are great. Food and drink is good quality and plentiful while being good value for the area. Second visit to South Gap and would happily return again. Highly recommend.
Art deco vibe, bright clean suite, comfortable bed with good linen, nice pool deck, direct view of ocean from room balcony. Free secure parking.
If you are going to use the kitchenette to cook for yourself it’s a fair way to get provisions. The onsite restaurant is ok, though.
Clean & comfortable, friendly staff and great location.
Very Nice clean room, with a great view
nothing
Staff very friendly and helpful!
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss.. but nothing terrible…
5 excellent stuff good service clean facilities enjoyed by stay
We had a one bedroomed apartment overlooking the pool and the sea. Views were amazing and the hotel itself was lovely. Very clean and well equipped, comfortable bed, good air conditioning and really lovely staff who were all incredibly friendly and helpful. This hotel is in the centre of St Lawrence Gap but peaceful at night. Very comfy sun loungers and good range of drinks and food but easy walking distance to other bars and restaurants. We would love to stay here again.
This hotel is wonderful. Newly renovated rooms, the bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows, well equipped kitchenette, walk-in shower, beautiful view from the balcony. The staff in every department were wonderful, helpful, friendly. We ate food in the restaurant, the choice is wide. Everything we chose was super, couldn't possibly complain. There is 2 Happy Hours per day, great choice of drinks at the bar available. Restaurant/bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the island. We booked trips through the reception staff, they were helpful and we went out for the day, everything we needed was ready for us on our return. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, the only fly in the ointment is that it is maybe not recommended if you have mobility issues, there is no lift.
This is a lovely, renovated hotel at a great price point in the Gap. It’s close to bars and restaurants but we were never bothered at night with loud noise. Our room was a one bedroom suite with a gorgeous view overlooking the ocean. It really is a fantastic view. As other reviewers have stated, the room is modern and spotlessly clean with a kitchen area including fridge, microwave and stove. While we enjoyed the twice daily 2-1 happy hours, we did not eat at the hotel but the dining/bar area had the same lovely view of the ocean as the rooms. The only thing to note that may be an issue for some, is that there are no elevators. Thankfully, staff hauled our bags to and from the room. I must comment on how we found the staff to be welcoming, kind and helpful. It was one of those landmark birthdays for my sister and the room was set up with balloons, a card and wine. Much appreciated. This is an excellent choice to stay in the Gap and I would definitely choose this hotel on a future visit.
Excellent location. Rooms look out over the sea. Beautiful rooms with a galley mini kitchen with sink, microwave, full fridge freezer, hotplate, kettle, toaster, coffee maker. The usual kitchenware with washing up facilities. All exceptionally clean and ready to use. The bathroom was lovely with lovely accompaniments such as hand wash, lotion, shampoo and shower gel. Excellent shower and never had any issues with hot water supply. The bedroom was amply kitted out with air con/safe wardrobes, bedside cabinets and additional drawers/dressers. Wonderful double doors that open up on to the sea front view where you could watch the sunsets. The rooms were kept immaculate and the maids could not do enough for you. You are given a 10% off voucher for the restaurant and a free drink voucher when you check in. The free drink gets you a rum punch or juice. The 10% voucher turns out was only valid on evening meals only. We ate 4 times in the stay. All breakfasts. The food was good however the time for service was dismal. The average time to receive food was an hour. One day we were the only people down, watched 5 other groups of people come down get their food served and when I asked where our food was, we were informed there had been a delay putting our order in. It took an hour and a half before our food came. This was also after watching the staff on their phones. Overall 2 hours for breakfast. It also cost me further £500gbp or 1350 Barbadian dollars because by this point I had missed a designated log in time for another online examination. Where no food /drink or interruptions are allowed and are 3hours long, I’d already been up at 4.45am to sit the 1st exam. And quite frankly I’m not waiting an hour to an hour and a half for food. I’d sooner go elsewhere. It’s all good and well saying Barbadian time, but I don’t want to spend hours waiting for food in a restaurant. I want to be out enjoying the island. We will return to the island and probably would stay at the hotel again, but will probably either provide our own food or eat elsewhere for this reason. The sunbeds were also hogged by people putting towels down and disappearing for half the day.
Excellent well serviced rooms and good facilities
Nothing all good
Our main guy behind the bar, we was told supervisor, thank you for great service. We stayed 11days just before Xmas return to uk. Would I stay again NO, service really poor at breakfast, items forgotten, then minutes late rest of breakfast cold. This is early with 3 tables in. One waiter in particular poor. He doesn’t write orders down. To cocky to write. The location is ok. Nothing going on only a happy hour. We was not on breakfast included. We paid from main menu, 50 plus every day I can say, not one morning in 8 out of 11 days was it right. Basics not right sorry. Great view, ok housekeeper.
We stayed here for 1 week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Having previously stayed at The Rostrevor and Yellow Bird hotels, South Gap was certainly on a par and possibly the best out of the three. Breakfast was good, especially the spicy Bloody Marys.and nothing was too much trouble for reception and room servicing. If your choice of resort is St Lawrence Gap, then would highly recommend this hotel.
We recently spent 9 nights at the South Gap Hotel. It was a calm and pleasant experience that worked well for our needs in Barbados. The Highlights • Housekeeping: The housekeeping staff were great—very friendly and consistent with their work. • Sunsets & Pool: The hotel offers some nice sunset views from the property. The pool area is also a pleasant, quiet place to spend time. There are occasionally some loud guests, but the nights were quiet. • Room Features: The bed was comfortable, and we found the kitchenette to be quite well-equipped for making e.g. breakfast. • Convenient Location: It’s in a good spot with many restaurants within walking distance. While there isn't a beach directly on-site, a nice beach is just a short walk away. Points for Improvement • Shade Access: I prefer to stay in the shade, and I found that the parasols at the pool weren't quite sufficient for that. As a result, we spent a significant amount of our time relaxing on our patio instead. • Room Condition: The room was slightly dated with some minor maintenance needed, though it was kept clean. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a quiet stay in a central location.
We enjoyed a ten night stay at this wonderful little hotel on The Gap. From start to finish we could not fault it. The reception staff are so helpful always greeted with a smile. The bar staff were attentive , the house keeping and maintenance staff were outstanding everyone went above and beyond to ensure the hotel looked beautifully clean at all times. It’s in a great location not too many rooms, ours was a suite which gave us a sofa bed ideal as our son joined us for a surprise 7 night stay. Great views from the balcony and from the deck area ideal to watch the sunsets. The food was excellent and the cocktails, there are two happy hours !. On the whole we could not fault it . We will definitely make a return trip our daughter is already planning to book.
Really nice boutique hotel, centrally located in St Lawrence Gap.
Absolutely stunning hotel, comfortable, well maintained and all the staff were amazing. It felt like being with family. Location for eating out was great and the hotel food was delicious too
Not really the hotels fault, but Unfortunately there is an Irish bar across the road, which seems very out of place for the area and it plays very loud music until 2am, which is louder on Friday/Saturday nights. Apparently there are some rooms that are not affected by the bar.
Hôtel très calme et proche de lieux animés le soir. Jolie vue de la chambre sur l'océan. Chambre climatisée et équipée d'un coin cuisine.
Staff was amazing. Beautiful ambience.
Friendly attitude of the staff
Intimate feel
The location was the best
Everything was good
Everything was perfect — the location, the staff, and the beautiful beach just five minutes away. The sea view was absolutely unbeatable. We’d love to come back again. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and they thoughtfully congratulated us with a lovely bottle of wine. The restaurant was also excellent for both breakfast and dinner.
The overall stay was a good experience. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout the whole stay.
The only con was we had a king bed in which they use two mattresses and one was way softer then the other in which we didn’t like.
Good location within the gap, easy enough to walk around the restaurants. The hotel seemed newly renovated, clean and well maintained. Great staff always happy to help. Pretty relaxed place. Just nice for a holiday as beaches are nearby and you always return in evening to enjoy the food and drinks in the Gap.
The location was excellent & the quality of the hotel is very high standard. The food was well presented & very tasty, good value for money. The view was great.
It would have been nice to have the sunbeds outside our suite reserved due to sitting on our terrace there were people lay about 2meters away so it lacks a little privacy, but that’s being a little picky
Amazing views from pool deck, outdoor restaurant, and balconies. Terrific service in restaurant, competitive prices, large portions. Rooms small, but well-appointed. Lots of food choices nearby, night club across the street with loud music late into the night.
Great hotel. Clean modern lovely staff food excellent location and loved our room which was the ground floor suite perfect for us. Loved it as we had our own balcony and just steps away from the sunbeds. 10/10
Good room, nice pool area, great location
Nothing
From the moment of checking in to the hotel we felt so welcomed, the staff are amazing they chat to you and get to know you nothing is ever too much trouble for them! The location of the hotel is perfect with beaches within walking distance, the food at the hotel is phenomenal and the cocktails especially the daiquiris are unreal!! I cannot wait to return to this hotel in the future as I didn’t want to leave. I never usually write reviews but this hotel deserve to get all the guests staying with them because it’s one of the best hotels on the island by far. It really should be given a 5 star rating!!!
I recently stay at south gap hotel after searching for 18 months for an affordable beachfront hotel on the south, Am please to say South Gap didn't disappoint, from the check in with shakeeta I knew I was at the right place she even call the room to ensure all was well , the room was amazing with a great view of the ocean an everything i need to make my stay comfortable, the Guys at bar was real friendly an attentive them make u feel welcome , the housekeeping staff was amazing , all staff I encountered was amazing ,so I am already planning my next stay , can't wait to be back
Everything about this property has been perfect. The staff Shareka at the front desk was informative and Lana from housekeeping was superb. I would recommending staying here and if you do decide staying get the ocean view as it’s breath taking. The upkeep of the property was great, everyday the staff cleans which I loved to see. The location was great, especially if you are looking for dancing and food. Thank you team and if I had to visit I would definitely stay at the South Gap again.
bra läge med många bra resturanger.
inget täcke i sängen utan bara ett lackan
Closeness to many restaurants and a couple of small convenience stores
Not on the beach. Smaller rooms and balconies than other places we have stayed
Amazing hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Very clean hotel. Food and bar staff also very welcoming. 5 stars for the food dishes also. Luxury experience
The location and the view
It was a little costly.
Day 4 out of 14. The hotel is very well set out and all the staff are brilliant. The hotel is spotless and the staff are always making sure it stays that way. Always sun loungers available. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days and all are excellent and good value (especially the portion sizes at lunch). All the staff who look after the bar and restaurant (both teams) always look after you and are very friendly and take time to chat to people. To be fair everybody in the hotel, the people who clean the rooms etc and look after reception are all the same, always have a smile and a friendly word. To top it off, you step out of the front door and you are on the gap - what more could you want. Hoping the next 10 days pass very slowly.
Everything was just great. The front desk staff were very approachable and helpful. the room was nice and cosy, well made up with a kitchenette in case you wanted to do your own thing. The view from the room over the sea was breathtaking. Dinner was simply delightful and not expensive as was breakfast. The rum punch was also good.
What started out as a business trip turned into an extended stay and unexpected birthday celebration, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend it. The staff at South Gap Hotel were incredibly kind and friendly, making my stay so comfortable and memorable. I had a superb ocean-view room with the most breathtaking sunset views, clean, modern, and relaxing. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as good! Thank you, South Gap, for such a lovely experience. I’ll definitely be returning!
We had a Wonderful time and experience at this beautiful hotel, overlooking the Ocean. The Staff were very friendly and was always ready to assist. Their faces were always lit with a smile, making you feel welcome everytime you came in contact with each of them. The Receptionist Tia, O.M.G she is just a sweetheart, very friendly and caring. Tia always made sure to check in on us via a phone call when she's on shift. Our room was a self Contained room. We had bread & breakfast, Lunch & dinner. The food is really good. It is affordable and it is alot. The pool is clean and very relaxing where you can just grab a drink or so from the bar. It can be a cocktail , rum punch or just a complimentary drink of your choice. This hotel is Located in an area where there is night life. Clubs, bar, restaurants & Kareoke etc. The people are very friendly and invites you to whats happening on a particular night so you can enjoy. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to whenever we travel to Barbados to make this Hotel our staycation home. We love the people and the hospitality. We will be back.
If i have to describe it… a 10 out of a 10 experience. Besides the fact that the hotel is awesome and my roomview was GORGEOUS… hearing the waves of the ocean in my whole room the whole time which gives a very relaxing sensation. The staff is also a 10 out of a ten, every one of them. Thanks to my girl Shareka who made me feel so comfortable and tried her utter best to give me an early check in, as i arrived early in the morning. Tia is also a sweetheart. Tamisha girl.. you cleaned my room perfectly every time. I really had nu urge to leave the hotel, as the bar and restaurant offers great food and drinks, and the view is at any time awesome. I will definitely go back, i hope asap. South Gap hotel, keep this appearance up! To the staff: thanks for naking my stay so pleasurable.
This hotel is truly a gem in St.Lawrence Gap. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and newly renovated. The food at Tropical Mist restaurant is delicious! We had a wonderful stay here. Will definitely return.
From arrival to departure I was addressed by name. I received a bottle of wine after chatting with the receptionist about recently retiring. The food at the restaurant was delicious and plentiful. The view from my room was just stunning and the kitchenette in my room had everything I needed. Such a lovely experience.
The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to shops, restaurant, beaches and to the main roads. The staff were amazing, from reception staff to the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff.
Ground floor perfect, sea views, close to everythingg.
The staff were fantastic, couldn’t do enough to help
Nothing
Only problem was the bathroom smelled when fan was on.
I like the location, the ocean view was great, I love the kitchenette. Cozy and comfy and nice staff and if the price is reasonable I would go back.
Excellent money for value. Hope to be back here soon.
A smart and friendly hotel with spacious, beautifully decorated rooms that have amazing sea views. Reception staff are very helpful! Their restaurant serves tasty food around the impressive pool deck (staff are great there too). Just 5 mins from the famous Dover Beach with a variety of quality bars and restaurants along the route.
La ubicacion es exelente y las vistas al mar tambien. el personal muy amable, sobre todo los del resturante.
I enjoyed my stay at south gap hotel! The staff for the most part were friendly, room was nice, grounds were pretty. I stayed on the ground floor things to note were I could hear the people in the unit above me which was extremely loud dragging of furniture all times of the day and into the evening. Our bathroom shower did have issues draining but that was fixed by a gentlemen in maintenance. I liked the fact check out time was 12pm, check in time is a bit late in the afternoon if you are planning for any activities. Overall I had a nice time there and definitely would like to be back and stay on a higher floor
This was my first time visiting Barbados, and this hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Shakeeta and Sharieka were especially kind and patient they went above and beyond to help me book excursions and dinner reservations, which took a lot of the stress off and allowed me to truly enjoy my birthday. Exceptional staff like them are the reason people come back. Honestly, they deserve a raise! Jeremy (I believe that was his name) at the bar he had braids was also super friendly and added to the relaxed vibe. The pool area was the best part & gorgeous, with stunning views of the ocean. I also loved all the amenities in the room. Housekeeping did an amazing job. I'm very particular about cleanliness, and the room was spotless, smelled fresh, and the AC was perfectly cold. I gave 4 stars for condition because the only downside was the cable channels and Wi-Fi, which were a bit spotty & cut completely out during my stay. But overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable, chic hotel experience in Barbados. I’ll definitely be back & tell my family and friends to stay here!
We had a wonderful stay at the South Gap Hotel. The room was modern, spacious, with a fully stocked kitchenette (microwave and full fridge, no stove), a big comfortable bed, great bathroom, and powerful air conditioner. The views from our room were beautiful! If they can accommodate, ask for a ground floor room, it's a walkout to the pool patio and that was great. The best part of our stay was the staff. They truly made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. I have to thank Nicholas, one of the bartender/restaurant staff, for giving us exceptional customer service and going out of his way to make sure we were always confortable and fed! He even recommended excursions that really made our trip memorable. The front desk staff was also lovey. The only issue I experienced was that the hotel was noticeably understaffed. The housekeeping staff took quite a while to get to our room, with staff missing our room entirely one of the days we requested cleaning. We could see the 1-2 housekeeping staff were doing their best so this did not make or break our experience.
Not handicap accessible.
Friendly staff. Tia at the front desk was so welcoming and always made sure we were ok and enjoying ourselves. The property was clean and maintained. Access to the pool, bar and parking was easy and always available. Located on st. Lawrence gap, you have walkable access to restaurants & bars. You also are very close to nearby beaches and other eateries. Will stay again.
the food was excellent pool area was great place to relax communication with staff was very good drinks by the bar was excellent especially the rumpunch
Been to Barbados 3 times, first time at south gap hotel and certainly won’t be the last ! What a beautiful hotel, not too big, clean, beautiful views, great position and the best staff. Food amazing too. Staff couldn’t do enough for you from reception, to restaurant staff (Amall, Ricardo, Nick Camile to maintenance (Edward) and cleaners. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return .
Unfortunately the room was not ready upon arrival. but that that was quickly rectified and the service was very good after that initial experience.
Nice
The restaurant in the hotel was Amazing
The check in was very simple, straightforward and immediate. The room was clean and comfortable, boasting North American standards. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The bar, pool and pool deck area was very clean, tidy and comfortable. We were even lucky to meet and have a complimentary drink with the owner of the hotel. Thanks Sunil. He was the most gracious and approachable business exec I have ever met.
Just that the beach was a 5 minutes walk from the hotel, but I knew that going into the booking.
This property is great, but one thing the foget to mention when booking, No Elevator
Such a fabulous and nice hotel! Beautiful scenery, perfect location, friendly and accommodating staff :) the only thing I would suggest is thicker, softer blankets. Otherwise, still a 5 star stay!
They should consider handicapped access to enter the hotel and to access the different floors.
Only stayed 1 night as a stopover before flying to St Vincent. So can't comment on a prolonged stay at South Gap Hotel. However it has a nice boutique feel about it.The rooms are well equipped if you want to self cater. Nice sea views from the balcony. Really nice pool area with composite decking for the flooring and the wooden sunbeds are excellent quality with mattresses thicker than most room beds - generally a good sign. The hotel is right in the middle of St Lawrence Gap so you will always find something to eat and drink with all the bars and restaurants here. However, the hotel has its own bar and restaurant (Tropical Mist). We had breakfast included and it was really excellent quality, I had Bajan breakfast with flying fish, bajan bakes, two eggs and plantain. All in all a very good, very short stay!
Staff was great. Pool was small and closed most of the time of our stay and when open we were leaving would stay again staff was knowledgeable
Very nice hotel. Water pressure is amazing
Does not have an elevator and I was on the 3rd floor
New property with a "South Beach" feel....well maintained, nice staff, good location....would stay again...
