Breakfast was brilliant. We felt nalis. Think that was his name, needs a lot more help. He was excellent but was rushed off his feet. Greedy owners need to help him with more support or staff.

Parking was a problem. Lucky we got a spot outside. But it was extra on our stay.

Great location. Everyone we came across who worked at the Square Townhouse was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing! Very unique property. Personally I loved it.

Not the fault of the hotel, but our top floor room was a little too warm on a hot summer’s day. They made us as comfortable as possible with a large fan.

The location worked for me, close enough to food, to have a walk, good location. The hotel was good to excellent, worked well for what I needed.

Parking in this area is a challange, I "managed" it but it was a case of finding some parking near enough to the hotel. Paying for parking was a challange for sure.

Room had a broken switch for light in bathroom so as we turned it off to go to sleep it did not go off so had to shut the door but there was still light coming through which interrupted sleep

Great location and nice room, with a view over the park and to the sea. The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast one day which was very good. Good value at £15 per head and cooked fresh to order. I would recommend the breakfast.

The price of the room was high. £330 a night (excluding breakfast) felt steep but I guess that this reflects Brighton's pricing over a Pride weekend.

The heat which cannot be helped caused a restless night. But For the amount of money you spend on staying in this establishment air con should be introduced especially as it’s only going to get hotter The fan which was by a brand bush, never has been cleaned out. So it made the room hotter than it should have been. Also some furnishings need some up keep from stains

Bulbs in bedside lights too dim for reading. Lack of plugs for charging phones etc.

Very centrally located yet it was quiet and tranquil, with beautifully decorated rooms and furnishings. This includes the main areas of the hotel along with the room in which I stayed in for a few days

There are a few steps on the main entrance but this comes with a period property and the upper floors are only accessible via stairs. So if you have a lot of luggage request a room on the ground floor.

Vi hadde et veldig hyggelig opphold på hotellet, og det svarte fullt ut til forventningene mine. Personalet var vennlig, imøtekommende og ga god service. Rommet var rent, komfortabelt og stille, noe som gjorde oppholdet behagelig. Frokosten var veldig god, med et variert utvalg av ferske og smakfulle retter, slik at det var noe for enhver smak. Alt i alt var dette et flott opphold. Jeg kan anbefale hotellet og kommer gjerne tilbake ved en senere anledning.

Nice room, great location, outstanding staff

Wasn’t able to leave our dog in the room by herself. We were going to a formal event and we had no choice but to take her with us. Luckily it wasn’t too hot. Make sure you know where nearby parking is.

i have stayed in brighton a lot of times, found this place by chance, loved it and would recommend to anyone staying, staff was excellent, thought the room was very decent, and was perfect location as away from the busy side of brighton but just a quick walk and then your among the hustle and bustle of the lanes.

Beautifully decorated hotel very clean and helpful staff. The room was lovely and was well equipped. Location was good for both the town centre and the beach. We didnt do breakfast so cannot comment. Nice touch of a fan being placed in our room without having to ask during the very hot weather.

We only had a rain shower which I am not a great fan of but that is just my personal choice. When I stay again I will request a different room :)

A beautiful hotel close to the seafront in the Kemptown area. Amazing decor, pristine accommodation (we stayed in the Japanese room) bright and airy even with the intense heat we are all experiencing. Sash windows that opened fully to allow the sea breeze in. Fabulous bathroom with a super deep bath. Everything was superb!

Spacious fun room with a great bathroom and good coffee making facilities. Lack of air conditioning is a bit of an issue but have the window open and the supplied fan is a big help.

We loved everything about this fabulous hotel. The staff are the friendliest people you could wish to meet and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect and our room were beautiful with a lovely sea view.

It is close to the sea and it was ok until a deposit was requested which was not stipulated in the booking. I am waiting for that money to come back to me in the afternoon. The excitement was for me and the damage,minibar

Keep in mind there are 5 floors and no lifts if you aren't good with stairs. You can always request the lower floors.

Gardens opposite were full of tramps drinking alcohol from the hours of 6pm till 1pm. We stayed on top floor and it was impossibly hot. Could not have windows open as too noisy outside. Single fan in room but not adequate.

Sehr gute Lage und nettes Personal, nicht weit von Brighton Pier. Super Bus und Zug Verbindungen nach London. Das Zimmer hat alles! Die von uns gebuchte Kategorie ist sehr klein, vor allem das Bad. Wir haben 28 Grad in Brighton gehabt und die Nächte ( ohne AC ) waren sehr stickig, trotz offenem Fenster und einen kleinen Ventilator .

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ein wenig Renovierung bedürftig.

The style was gorgeous, quite glam and glitzy. Loved the mirrors in the bedroom. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were flawless and couldn’t do enough to make you feel comfortable.

The location / check where you want to be as it was a good walk to place I had booked for dinner. But the location is still good.

Great size room and comfy bed. lovely breakfast and great location right next to the beach. nice coffee machine and biscuits in the room and good glasses. Friendly staff and good communications.

The room was large and very Bond lair (if a bit chintzy) but was in the basement so very dark and a bit claustrophobic. The small patio was locked and clearly hadn't been cleaned and the air con unit wasn't sufficient for the room. The bed was comfy but it was impossible to sleep well on a very hot weekend. Great breakfast but no restaurant. The towels and bath mat weren't changed when the room was cleaned.

All was nice, but was expecting more for the £275/night the hotel cost. Stayed in other hotels nearby with same facilities but a lot cheaper

Room was a lot smaller than the images suggested, which is normal, but extreme in this case. Toilet was also small and the body wash holder on the wall was broken. For the price I expected better.

The breakfast was great, good choice of cooked breakfast and coffee. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. We liked the location, close to the beach and also a short walk into the centre of Brighton.

My partner had to pay £30 for a small neon birthday sign (not to keep and can be reused by the hotel) and balloons for my birthday as it was my birthday trip and he wanted me to have something nice at the hotel. A lot of other hotels offer something small for birthdays free of charge. Not a deal breaker but a nice to have!

Excellent location and beautiful sea view from the bedroom. The staff were friendly and attentive and made our stay extra special as we were celebrating a birthday. The breakfast was delicious - loved the bruschetta! Great all round.

Nice location near everything but away from the centre. Very warm welcome and very helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable, the room was small but really well thought out.

This is personal preference but the lack of a/c coupled with a warm day and the heat being on when I arrived made my room incredibly hot. Worked out how to turn the heater off but my window opened onto a flat roof so it didn’t feel safe to keep it open all night.

Very authentic and cosy, exceptional breakfast

The service and greeting from the staff was probably the best I’ve ever received. So friendly, professional and welcoming.

The room we were staying in does get cold. They however did warn us, and a space heater was provided which solved the problem.

The hotel is incredibly well located and really stylish. I had a fantastic welcome from staff upon my arrival and an excellent check-in experience. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was lovely. My partner and I had a truly romantic and relaxed getaway that we will not forget. Thank you Square Townhouse!

The only 2 things I’d note if you plan to stay is that the shower in the Cozy King is directly overhead, so if you don’t want to get your hair wet, it’s almost impossible not to. A super quick fix would perhaps be to provide some shower caps or to bring shower cap with you. Also, our room was on the top floor with beautiful views but there are a lot of stairs to climb, so if you have any mobility issues, ask for a room on a lower floor. The stay was exceptional though! I will be returning.
