location to beach great, pool lovely, staff in hotel were very very helpful & really nice. lovely music around the pool each day and not too loud. Temp of pool fabulous Closeness to Palma and Porto Pi superb.

public areas tired & dull. Carpets threadbare and stained. Walls needed painting. Sofas in reception need replacing. Floor in bedroom was lifting, Toilet area has no privacy - made for an uncomfortable stay. Food in pelican restaurant not great. Staff were diff to Hotel and catching their attention pretty hard. Please stop guests putting towels out around pool at stupid o clock in morning. Parking in area around hotel a nightmare. Perhaps they could reserve spaces close to the hotel. Too much hassle so would not stay there again

При заселении мен перепутали с другим человеком. Держа в руках мои документы менеджер не мог понять разницы между моим данными и данными другого человека . Я не могу объяснить как это возможно , но ступор был долгим . С меня списали еще раз оплату за другого человека , но потом вернули деньги . Но ситуация была странная . Разные имена и фамилии , но для молодого человека на ресепшене казалось , что разницы нет . Пока девушка не вмешалась он долго не мог понять в чем проблема . Завтраки не очень хорошие .

Location next to the beach, big room with balcony

I have ordered and paid additionally for a full sea view room, however the one we got, was on the 1st floor with view obstructed by the concrete platform. When I complained, the receptionist told me they have no other room available and I may ask tomorrow.. no apologies, no complimentary drink or service were offered. The housekeeping lady entered our room before 8am straight after knocking -not even waiting a second and she did it twice this way. It never happened to me in any other hotel. The bathroom has no door and the toilet is separated with a glass door that is not even closing properly, leaving around 10cm gap. The pool is much smaller than it looks on the pictures and it was very crowded. I would not stay there again.

The lifeguards are supposed to remove towels from beds that people reserve from early morning and ignore the etiquette rules but unfortunately have to be told to do their job. I found it disappointing that the hotel has a policy in place but the lifeguards are afraid to implement because of awful guests that might complain about them. There was a thunder storm and our ceiling was leaking quite heavily through the light, the leak filled the bathroom bin when we reported the issue but it was left for us to clean up. There was no follow up to check if the leak had stopped and make sure it wasn’t dangerous overnight!

La mer était agreable. Il a fallu payer sur place un fort supplément pour avoir la vue sur mer. Attention, tous les équipements qui font de cet hotel techniquement un **** sont en fait exclus du tarif de la chambre. J'ai vu des formules 1 bien plus confortables: pas de minibar dans la chambre, pas de bouilloire, même pas quelques sachets de thé ou de café dans la chambre. Le salle d'eau n'a pas de porte et reste ouverte et visible depuis la porte d'entrée même pour les plus belles de leurs suites. C'est Absolument la dèche. Absolument tout est en supplément : le sauna, le spa, le jaccusi sont payants à l'heure. Même les transates et parasols de la plage privatisée sont payants est Absolument trop chers. Les verres d'eau sont payants, la seule chose qui ne l'est pas est la salle de sport, vide en permanence car mal adaptée.

On essaye d'essorer les clients de chaque centime d'euro par n'importe quel prétexte

The location is probably the only real advantage of this hotel.

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned, and there were hairs and dust everywhere, which is simply unacceptable for a hotel. The breakfast was another disappointment. It was exactly the same every day, with very limited choice, so after a few days it became quite boring. The location is probably the only real advantage of this hotel. The pool is constantly overcrowded, and if you arrive even a little later, you may not find a free sun lounger. On the beach, you have to pay extra for sun loungers, which is another downside. One of the biggest negatives is that there is no coffee or tea in the room. For a hotel of this standard, this is a basic amenity that should be provided. If you have an early morning excursion, you basically have to leave the hotel without even being able to make yourself a cup of coffee. Overall, the location is good, but the cleanliness, repetitive breakfast, crowded pool, extra charges for beach sun loungers, and lack of basic amenities make it difficult to recommend this hotel. There is definitely room for improvement.

Excelente ubicacion sobre la playa y buen desayuno. Buenas vistas desde la habitacion a la playa. Cercano a minimarkets y restaurantes, tambien con facil acceso a la parada de bus que te lleva al centro de la ciudad.

Durante una de las limpiezas me "desaparecieron" algunos efectos de valor. A tener en cuenta si viajes con pertenencias personales de valor.

The location was very good. With having the pool deck overlooking the sea was lovely. Our view from the balcony was nice as well. The sun was on the pool all day. The bar staff were all very nice and friendly in particular Sara, David and Alejandro were magnificent!

On check in at 3am the man on reception tried to charge me 200€ too much and he had to work it out 4 times as we paid for two rooms, eventually he said he misread it. I feel that if you hadn’t worked out the cost of the rooms in Euros that you would be caught out. I do wonder if this is a tactic by the hotel to overcharge the guests. Terrible that you have to pay 5€ per beach towel and you have to pay a 10€ deposit in cash which was a problem as all ATMs charged 5€ to draw out the money which we wouldn’t have needed to do. If you didn’t put a towel on sun beds early in the morning, then you would struggle to get one at all! Breakfast felt rushed and when it got to 10.20 they would refuse to make pancakes and omelettes in particular for my elderly mother. My mother’s single room was so small with no tea or coffee facilities. Rooms need renovation, air conditioning did not work very well particularly in the small room. The refrigerators were not cold, the safe didn’t work. Water would go everywhere after a shower as it didn’t have a proper shower door. We didn’t have our room cleaned on one day when we were out of it all day! We paid over 300€ per night for our room and it wasn’t worth it! I definitely would not class it as a 4 star and think that it should be reviewed as I would never have booked a 3 star hotel so I feel miss sold by booking.com

Lage am Strand, Umgebung mit Restaurants und Bars, Nähe zu Palma, Frühstück war in Ordnung, nette Mitarbeiter, Toller Blick auf Strand und Meer, gute Musik und DJ am Pool.

Keine Hotelanfahrt und leider kein Platz mehr in der Tiefgarage, schwierig aussen zu Parken, Leider für unseren Sohn ein kleines Einzelzimmer ohne Blick zum gleichen DZ Preis, Personal nett und bemüht aber teils überfordert (Hochsaison), Renovierungsbedürftig trotz teils schöner Zimmer. Angeblich wird bald renoviert...dann kann man es nochmals anschauen.

Il parcheggio non è prenotabile, abbiamo girato per 2 ore per cercare un posto in zona in strada. Alcune rifiniture in camera visto il costo dovrebbero essere sistemate.

Wir hatten insgesamt einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die hervorragende Lage direkt am Strand. Der Ausblick war wirklich wunderschön und hat unseren Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht. Auch das Frühstück hat uns gut gefallen. Die Auswahl war ansprechend und die Qualität insgesamt gut.

Verbesserungspotenzial sehen wir bei der Ausstattung der Zimmer. Diese könnte unserer Meinung nach etwas moderner und hochwertiger sein. Hier wäre eine Auffrischung sicherlich wünschenswert.

Personal súper amable, instalaciones impecables, buenísima limpieza, tranquilidad, justo al lado de la playa, una piscina genial con amacas y sombrillas, y además bar,. Gimnasio gratuito, spa con jacuzzi y servicios de masajes y relajación. Zona muy tranquila, con muy buenos restaurantes y tiendas al lado. A mi me gustaría volver el año que viene. Recomiendo mucho este hotel.

The value for money was poor. The room was very tired and worn out. The toilet was in the middle of the room, separated only by a glass wall, and essentially had no proper door- felt more like a hatch that could be pulled across rather than a door that could actually be closed.

Le personnel du bar, du snack , pas de service à table au bar (pourtant obligatoire dans 1 établissement 4 étoiles), les tables du bar à la piscine (sales quasiment toutes la journée et rarement débarrassées). Malgré des affiches aucune surveillance des transats (bloqués pour la plupart dès 7 h du matin) , surveillant de baignade (piscine) absent dès 18h (piscine ouverte jusqu'à 20h). Nettoyage des chambres (pas une seule fois fait à fond en 10 jours), les draps changés 1 seule fois et encore sur demande. Pas de place de parking, alors que précisé lors de la réservation (demande restée sans réponse). Chambre vétuste(payée avec suppléments pour vue mer et surface) , le parquet flottant à changer immédiatement. L'ambiance du hall de l'hôtel digne d'un hôtel du bloc communiste

Allora da dove comincio…dato che praticamente in sto albergo non si salva praticamente niente vabbè partiamo dalle camere: Sudicie logore sporche io ho dovuto richiamare la reception 3 volte per la pulizia della camera la nostra aveva la vista fronte strada dove passavano continuamente macchine della polizia e ambulanza ogni 3 per due,va bene la sicurezza ma così un po too much i letti scomodissimi si faceva fatica a dormire anche perché la sera scaricavano il camion dei rifiuti del vetro sotto la nostra stanza alle 1.30 di notte vi lascio immaginare il bordello,in più non è manco isolata dall esterno né verso la strada né verso la porta della stanza che poi dà accesso ai corridoi visto che da dentro sentivo la gente che passava e per un 4 stelle una stanza non insonorizzata e’ inammissibile,poi abbiamo avuto il lavandino che non drenava l’acqua,il frigo bar non funzionava,la maniglia del balcone tra poco ti rimaneva in mano per dirvi,l’aria condìzionata a volte andava a volte si bloccava,livello di pulizia generale della stanza ultra scadente visto che un giorno abbiamo spostato il puff e c’era una palla di polvere dietro…e questo per quanto riguarda la camera passiamo anche al resto perché credetemi cene da dire su questa struttura schifosa,I corridoi sono lerci e sporchi in quanto si vedono delle chiazze per terra non identificate per di più assenza completa di telecamere all interno dei corridoi o comunque dentro la struttura e ciò inammissibile per un 4 stelle (di cui due di cartone disegnate per me) nel complesso per quanto riguarda il palazzo posso dire struttura vecchia di almeno 20 anni dove esteticamente da fuori non si nota in quanto da fuori sembra anche bello visivamente l’hotel,poi passiamo al personale della struttura quando chiedi un info sono freddi distaccati e ti parlano quasi come se fosse un fastidio attenzione e supporto al cliente 0 anzi sembra quasi che ti fanno un favore mai un saluto né quando siamo arrivati né quando siamo andati via né...

Pool, gym and location

There was no kettle in the room for us to make coffee or tea.

The location right on thr beach is fantastic. The staff were always friendly and tried to help when the reservation was not what I booked. It did get fixed the next day. It is expensive to stay here but the location is great and the ocean views were lovely for the eclipse experience. Central to restaurants and tge bus route.

I had booked a suite as it had a desk in the photos. When I got to my room there was no desk. They did not have another room available with the desk and explained some people like to put in a third bed. I did not want a third bed but a desk. They did fox it the next day bit no chair so used the chair from the balcony. They made it right in the end and the reception staff and housekeeping staff were always pleasant and did their best.

Very overpriced for what it actually was. Our shower was broken, all the water kept leaking out. I informed receptionist and they got it fixed. Its a very basic hotel, also you can hear guests above when they move chairs and furniture and you can hear guests going into their rooms.

Par rapport au prix payé : chambre vétuste, et surtout la salle de bain avec douche et WC SANS AUCNE FERMETURE!!! Du jamais vu depuis que je voyage! Aucune intimité, paroi-porte des WC en verre à peine floutté et qui reste entrebaillée!!!! Vraiment extrêmement gênant. De plus ménage mal fait, et pas fait la veille de notre départ.... Les photos sur le site ne reflètent pas la réalité.

**Great location, but too many issues for the price** The beach was definitely the highlight of our stay. It was beautiful and very convenient, and I really enjoyed having it so close to the hotel. Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues during our three-night stay. The Wi-Fi was not working for our entire stay. I contacted the hotel and complained, and they did try to fix it, but it never actually worked. This was especially stressful because I needed to work during the trip. Both elevators were also out of service, which was very inconvenient. Parking was another major issue. It was extremely difficult to find a spot, and I eventually had to get a reserved parking space for €20 per day. The hotel only has four reserved spots, so parking felt like a constant struggle. The refrigerator in our room wasn't working, and the air conditioning was not very good either. Breakfast was also disappointing and, in my opinion, did not live up to what I would expect at this price point. One major positive was the gym!!! it was **excellent** and very well equipped. That was definitely one of the best features of the hotel. Overall, while I loved the beach and appreciated the gym, there were simply too many issues during our stay. **For the price, I would choose to stay somewhere else next time.**

Per un hotel a 4 stelle, mi aspettavo più scelta nella colazione e la cena dislocata tra i 3 diversi ristoranti da prenotare in anticipo non era il massimo. Inoltre, abbiamo dovuto sollecitare per il refill dello shampoo e la composizione del bagno senza una vera porta di separazione non lasciava spazio a privacy. Altra pecca il parcheggio in loco era disponibile solo a pagamento a 25 euro al giorno e il letto non era un matrimoniale ma erano 2 lettini.

It’s in a nice place close to the beach. Not a bad walking distance to the foreshore city area.

Disappointing and not what we expected from a Superior Double Room We were really disappointed with our stay, particularly given the price we paid. Based on the hotel’s positioning and the fact we booked a Superior Double Room, we expected a much better standard. The room is small, tired and poorly maintained. The bathroom is extremely small, with very limited space and nowhere to hang towels other than in the shower. There is also very little storage, with just one small hanging rail for two people. One of the drawers in the dresser does not even open because the furniture is in poor repair. We specifically booked a double room, but the bed is actually two single beds pushed together. Rather than providing a proper double bed, the hotel has simply put double sheets over the two separate mattresses. This is not what we expected from a Superior Double Room. One of the biggest issues was the bedroom door. It does not self-close or lock automatically, meaning it is possible to walk away from the room without it being properly secured. You have to pull or slam the door hard to close it, which is extremely noisy and repeatedly disrupted our sleep, even with earplugs. We have also found the attitude of some staff disappointing. The first response to requests often seems to be “no” rather than trying to find a solution. For example, when we asked whether we could refill our water bottles from the dispenser available at breakfast, we were told no and directed to the bar. At the bar, we were told that we could not drink the tap water and would need to buy bottled water. For a hotel of this standard, we find this unreasonable and unnecessarily poor hospitality. We were also surprised that pool towels have to be rented for €5. Given the price of the stay, we would expect basic pool towels to be provided. The common areas are a different story. The terrace restaurant and indoor communal areas are nicely finished and appear to be well maintained. Unfortunately, the pool area, which is where guests actually want to spend their time in Mallorca, feels old, tired and in need of significant investment. The contrast between the communal areas and the pool area is quite stark. The location and views are undoubtedly excellent, and Cala Major itself is beautiful. However, the location cannot make up for the condition of the room, the lack of basic amenities and the general standard around the pool. Overall, we feel the hotel is significantly overpriced for what is provided. We would not consider this to be the standard we would expect from a Superior Double Room with 4 stars, and based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.

Title: Absolute nightmare experience – Overbooked and poorly managed I had a terrible experience at this hotel due to severe overbooking and unprofessional management. I originally booked a 'Marivent Junior Suite Ocean View', but immediately after checking in, the reception moved me to the 'Be Live' building, which is the cheapest option. When I protested, they claimed there was a mistake and moved me to 'La Cala'. However, this was still not the room I booked, and it didn't even have an ocean view. I was told that there was nothing else they could do for me. This all happened at 9:30 PM. Throughout this entire process, there was no apology. I was repeatedly told that it was impossible to speak with the manager or the owner. Because it was so late, I had no choice but to pay for one night and stay. The room itself was unacceptable: no bathroom door, a squeaky bed, a tiny room, and outdated interiors. The next morning, the manager informed me that I still couldn't get my original room due to overbooking and offered a meager 10% discount as compensation. Be aware that there are three different buildings under the 'Be Live' brand here. While some might be okay, being downgraded or shuffled around is a huge risk. Even though 'La Cala' is marketed as a premium option, it is far from it. Avoid this place.

The hotel does have some strong points. Its location is excellent — 5/5. The views from the rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts and dinners are delicious, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. I would also like to mention Svetlana at the reception. She was always polite, friendly, and genuinely willing to help us with any questions. Unfortunately, she was not on duty when our money disappeared. If all reception staff were as professional as she is, we would have had no complaints. Another highlight was the evening entertainment. All of the guest musicians and the flamenco dancers were fantastic and created a wonderful atmosphere.

Unfortunately, everything else left us very disappointed. The worst thing that happened was that cash disappeared from our room immediately after it had been cleaned. I carefully explained everything using a translator and even translated my message into Spanish so the receptionist could understand me. Instead of trying to help, she immediately insisted that this was impossible, told us we should have used the safe, and showed no interest in investigating what had happened. This also made me wonder whether the reception staff speak English at all. Not every guest speaks Spanish, yet no real effort was made to communicate with us. Our disappointment actually started at check-in. We received a very cold welcome and almost no information about the hotel. We had to ask ourselves about breakfast and dinner times. Reception staff should explain the hotel’s services and facilities to new guests. If your policy is that valuables must be kept in the safe, then be honest and warn guests at check-in that thefts have happened before and that the hotel accepts no responsibility for stolen belongings. After this incident, I read other reviews and was shocked to see that missing money and personal belongings have been reported by many guests. We also experienced several other problems ourselves: the sink leaked constantly, the room was cleaned poorly, there is almost no storage space, no shelf in the shower for toiletries, no bedside tables, and not enough hooks for clothes or bags. The hotel is clearly in need of renovation—the walls are peeling, the carpet is stained, and even animal droppings remained on the restaurant terrace for two days without being cleaned. The bar was another disappointment. We were charged for alcohol we never ordered. On two separate occasions we were also charged for a 0.5-liter Coca-Cola even though we were served a 0.33-liter bottle, and the price was higher than the one shown on the menu. Please check every bill carefully before paying.

Chefen på receptionen hjälpte inte alls mig att stanna några timmar extra mot betalning efter ordinary utchekning vid 12:00 tiden fast hon hade sagt att att det går bra att det fanns tre olika betalning och när jag frågade mitt på vår vistelse hon sa fredag ska hon meddela mig och på fredag sa hon att det inte fanns ledigt rum hade hon sagt tidigare skulle jag fixa ett rumm pp ett annan hotel men det gjorde hon inte och sista dag var som en jobbig och varmt och tuff dag

Läget och utsikten

Slitna rum. Konstiga hotellregler: gick ej att sätta upp dryck etc på rummet då man var tvungen att öppna en kredit i receptionen vilket de ej informerade om (ville beställa drycker till poolen kunde inte beställa). Gick inte att ta ut poolhanddukar på rummet, var tvungen att lägga 10 euro i cash per handduk som deposit och betala 5 euro per handduk (snålt med tanke på hotellets pris). Ganska missnöjd med hotellet och servicen.

Fabulous location right on Cala Major with views from the room of the beach and pool. Everything was clean and comfortable. Pool was great. Breakfast was very generous. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

From the beginning reception staff not very friendly and not accomodating. Had to pay for towels. Rooms were shambles and outdated, my friend had single room and looked like student digs accomodation with the smallest room you couldnt swing a cat in! So depressing! Not all rooms have balcony which i have never ever been to any hotel in my life without one - these were just a window with shocking views! There was no way the hotel was at full capacity and when we asked to change rooms they said we had to pay more! Rooms were bare basic - fridge not working. In the morning for breakfast it was empty in restaurant and as a group of 6 wanted to sit together. we moved a table over to sit us all and were told that we were not allowed! How ridiculous!! Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and rude! Not enough sunbeds for everyone - people were having to sit on the plastic chairs and considering the hotel clearly not at full capacity this was just another worry and spoiled it. DJ round the pool was awful - one artist he played over and over with the same beat all throughout but he thought he was Calvin Harris! Might aswel have downloaded the artist playlist and gone for a siesta! Attitude of staff was shocking and asked ‘whats your problem lady’ when we were just ordering a simple coffee with oat milk that they hadnt put in the drink and we had to explain to put the oat milk in it! Disgusting and would never return - there is no way this is 4 star, 2 star at a push! Do not waste your money!

the view of the ocean from the balcony and i have paid extra for it

1- The reception staff are not helpful and at and they don’t care where we went in to check in and ask about the date adjustment their response was with altitude and its not their issue communicate with Booking. 2- They charge 5€ for towel to use and 10€ deposit 3- there is no parking at the property its always full and other reserving in advance and if there is a parking you need to pay 25€ daily. keep in mind the hotel location is super packed ( busy ) and hard to find street parking within less than 30 minuets looking. 3- The room not clean and very old with broken shower where the water switching from hot to cold by it self 4- The A/C is disaster its very hot and whenever trying to make it cooler its doesn’t goes below 22 degree C 5- The breakfast buffi is too bad same food everyday and very untesty, and there is weird practice where you need to show your carton card that hold the room key so they let you in other wise its big deal I would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on my experience.

Trots skyltar att man inte får "förboka" platser runt poolen och att handdukar mm kommer plockas bort om man inte dyker upp inom 30-45 min så låg det handdukar mm på de flesta solstolar redan 07:30 på morgonen.

It's my second time staying at Be Live Adults Only Marivent. The first time was 3 years ago when we had a regular room with a sea view. Now, we have booked the Junior Suite, and it was a pure amazing experience. For the Junior Suite on the first floor, I felt the hallway was quieter and more relaxed; the rooms are very big, and I didn't expect to have 2 balconies. From the pictures, I noticed one with a small table, two chairs, and a very good view of the sea, but once we arrived in the room, we were stunned to discover a second balcony, much larger, with an umbrella and two sunbeds. I also particularly liked that on our last day, we could spend the day at the beach even after check-out, and we had the option to shower at the hotel. The staff was very friendly, helping us at each step and providing everything we needed. I loved Be Live then, and love it even more now. The beach in front of the hotel, I think, also has one of the most azure sea views, and there is direct access from the pool towards the beach.

The breakfast has lots of options. The location is excellent, with an easy bus ride from Palma center, and various shops, restaurants, bars, and spas within walking distance. The beachfront and view is perfect and the ease to walk between the pool area and beach is fantastic. Beach restaurant and pool bar menus are good and the gym and sauna is a nice bonus.

We did have a problem with ants in the room, so don't leave ANY food or drinks accessible. The room is clean, but very basic with a few blemishes - you are definitely paying for the location, beachfront, and pool. Lounge chairs fill fast, so either going early or trying midday when people start to leave is best. We only had to wait for loungers once during the stay and still had cafe chairs available. The pool is an infinity style with the shallowest point 1.35 meters and ladder access, which could be a problem if you not being able stand in the water bothers you. Pool towels are not complimentary, fyi.
