Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast had a great variety of choices, although some dishes, such as the porridge, were cold. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Double bed we had this year was fairly small and it was quite noisy in the night

I requested a room with a shower but didn't get one. A bath mat was supplied quickly for use in the bath for safety.

Parking, even with paid parking, can’t use between 11-5 at night. Also the 2 bed was soda bed, not very comfortable.

Girl on reception was nice. It was clean and cheap and near the centre.

I tried to contact property day before - it took several attempts before someone answered. No answer when ringing for room service. No one at bar for ages. Barmaid had a weird manner - unpleasant stare. Food took ages and quite dry. The worst thing was the bed - it was too hard and I hardly slept. The area looked quite rough.

The service for breakfast was poor. Coffee machine not working. Fruit juice not replaced when empty. The food in the restaurant for evening meal took 30 minutes to arrive, and was not worth the money. Burnt Lasagne, lumpy mashed potato. And small portions.

The location of the hotel is perfect for shopping, theatre and sight seeing. Staff are very helpful and friendly and breakfast is very good.

Breakfast was okay but there were intermittent problems with the coffee machines & the sides needed wiping down through service, cereal was everywhere. The staff were friendly & chatty. Well sited for shopping & the Barbican 👍

The parking was weird - great to have the car park next door but the entrance was so easy to miss, had to go all the way round & found it on the 2nd attempt!

Due to its central location, traffic noise and people being noisy after a night out could be heard in the hotel room.

We found the back door propped open with no one around When we arrived, there was no hot water, so we were unable to shower before going out for the evening

Tv was unwatchable as it was pixelated but we didn’t inform reception as we didn’t want to be disturbed. So they didn’t have the opportunity to sort this.

The service was exceptional. One young lady in particular, was very accommodating regarding my dietary requirements. It makes such a difference. The selection of food was extensive and the coffee was perfect. Thank you

The breakfast was good, staff kept the restaurant spotless and were engaging with the punters In the bar the young girl with the cropped hair was very pleasant and chatted to us whilst cleaning up. She was the highlight of our evening. The reception team were on the ball with any problems, especially the lack of hot water.

In the bar the young girl was quite surly with when ordered a pint of Guinness in fact my wife found her very rude. We have both worked in hospitality my wife being a public an and me being a drayman and have always put a smile on our face when facing the public. Unless she changes her attitude, maybe her career in hospitality is in doubt or she should go on a training course on how to deal with general public. We were not impressed.

Comfortable and quiet room. The hotel is centrally located in the city.

We were a bit unlucky with the timing of breakfast. There was a large tour group in the dining room at the same time as us, which meant the dishes emptied quickly and it got quite crowded. In the end, we more or less gave up. The staff did their best to keep up, but it didn't help much.

The welcome we recieved from Charlotte on reception and Ellis in the bar was first class , such lovely team members

I liked the breakfast very much indeed, staff there were lovely. I would stay here again for that alone when visiting my student son next. The coach tourists on 2nd morning having breakfast were a bit much as they were making themselves sandwiches from breakfast stuff. I didn’t care but made it v tricky for staff to keep restocking. Staff were very professional & calm even with that going on,

The car park. It felt secure for car. BUT the stairway was filthy & a bit scary as there was rubbish everywhere. It was preferable to walk down car ramp.

Spacious, clean comfortable room with plenty of complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits and water.

The fact that parking is so close and the hotel has a deal package for parking is great. The area being right close to everything in the town and a stone throw from the Hoe Marina is fantastic, can't fault the staff to, very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional, brilliant selection of everything to choose from, a % off your food and drinks, by joining the Leonardo hotels free membership was brilliant to, a great deal. Rooms were lovely and clean, air-conditioning was a bonus in the heatwave and room staff were fantastic and went that extra mile to help out..

The one and only thing we didn't like was the fact that there was no fridge in the room, even just a small one would have been nice, especially in the heatwave to be able at night and early hours to get a refreshing cold drink of our own stock from the fridge, as the kids are particular or lets just say fussy of what they drink, so would have been nice to have chilled our own for us & the children.

The Breakfast was great! And all the waiters were amazing however one waiter called Chris stood out , he showed us a magic trick and overall was really friendly and jolly he even teaches my son the magic trick but most wonderful of all he chose to give my son a pack of playing cards in what a five star experience. Spectacular ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very friendly staff, easy check in and discounted parking nearby. I notice the TV was broken, reported it and a new one was brought up straight away. Bed was super comfortable!

I was meant to have a room upgrade through booking.com to a superior double, with water & biscuits in the room but there wasn't any on arrival. The maintenance man that brought the TV did come back with some water for me which was very kind of him.

We found the room to be comfortable and well-facilitated. The location is strategically located near attractions.

Parking was a bit difficult to find

The hotel was lovely, very well presented with modern, classy decor. It was my fiancés birthday and we booked this hotel last minute, I booked a standard double room, to then find on arrival they had upgraded us free of charge to an executive suite, which was brilliant, thank you! I didn’t get the man’s name who checked us in, he was great, super welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Great staff, great location being a 5 minute walk from the Barbican and 10 minute walk to the centre, and value for money! I would recommend staying here if you’re visiting Plymouth.

Car park was next to the hotel and it gets locked at 11pm. There was a buzzer to get in to the hotel from the lower level. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and they had gluten free bread when I asked for it.

Room was a bit small but for 1 adults and w children, it was fine. Room was clean and comfortable.

Air con in the room was a pleasant change from the temperature outside. The staff at the front desk were very good. Area was excellent for visiting the Barbican,

The location was good for my purposes and staff I interacted with were friendly.

I was wakened at 2.50 am by someone banging on my door which was very concerning considering recent media reports of people having strangers enter the room in hotels. I therefore did not sleep much of my stay at all. The room was so hot with air conditioning being very poor. I was overcharged for a glass of wine at the bar so I chose to stop buying anything from the bar.

The staff on the front desk were lovely, the room was well sized and priced. We also appreciated the fresh water provided in reception.

We recently spent two nights at the Leonardo Hotel in Plymouth, and it completely exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Prime Location: The hotel is situated in a fantastic spot, making it easy to explore the city, local attractions, and the scenic waterfront without any hassle. Outstanding Staff: The customer service truly stood out. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Fantastic Dining Experience: Breakfast: The full English breakfast included with our stay was exceptional—hot, hearty, and cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to the fantastic coffee bar, which served up a variety of freshly ground coffees to kick-start our mornings. Lunch: We also decided to have lunch at the hotel restaurant and were genuinely surprised by how fresh, flavourful, and delicious the food was. It far exceeded typical "hotel food" expectations! Overall, a brilliant hotel with a great atmosphere, wonderful food, and top-tier hospitality. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!.

Paying a significant amount of money and the food not being replenished leading to long waits for simple things like bread, eggs, bacon and sausages.

Shower was not the best, controls broken and not very powerful. Duvet was thick not really suitable for the summer extreme heat.

More information regarding accessing car park would have been useful.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was good to see new members of staff being carefully trained by more experienced staff. Breakfast was very well stocked and good quality. I was also nice to have it last until 10.30 at the weekend. The air-con throughout the hotel was very welcome

The room we had was very small, but I only booked standard size and it had everything we needed. Bathroom was more standard size and shower was ok.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, just moments from Hoe Park and the seafront, with a wide choice of restaurants and cafés in the surrounding area.

What I didn’t like about the hotel was the absence of a lift connecting to the car park. This meant we had to carry heavy luggage up many steps and across a considerable distance, which was very inconvenient. The hotel should repair or reinstate the lift as soon as possible

Not clear how to access via the Britannia car park.
