I LOVED EVERYTHING!! The staff are so wonderful, the food is fabulous, the grounds are extremely beautiful. This place is such a sanctuary and such a cheap Grab ride to town. I'm so glad we chose to spend 4 nights here. What a perfect place. We were upgraded to a King room with balcony facing the pool area. If I could I would rate it higher than 10.

L'impatto iniziale non è stato dei migliori. La zona non è particolarmente gradevole, con strade trafficate, parcheggi e un contesto poco invitante. Già arrivando ho pensato: mah. Anche la reception è piuttosto datata. Non il classico stile tradizionale thailandese ben conservato e ricco di fascino, ma una struttura che mostra gli anni. Poco piacevole il fortissimo contrasto tra l'AC molto fredda nella hall e il caldo intenso appena si esce dall'area. Avevamo una Camera Matrimoniale Deluxe: dimensioni buone e letto confortevole, ma camera datata (2001): in fondo a un corridoio poco curato, con una porta antipanico piuttosto brutta e un pavimento macchiato proprio davanti all'ingresso. Anche gli infissi non chiudevano perfettamente. La vista non è stata particolarmente fortunata: da un lato il tetto della struttura sottostante, dall'altro un piccolo scorcio di piscina e fiume. Un peccato, perché essendo una camera d'angolo avrebbe potuto essere molto luminosa e valorizzata molto meglio. Il bagno è forse l'aspetto che avrebbe più bisogno di essere ripensato. Utilizzando il doccino della vasca si finiva facilmente per allagare parte del bagno e persino aprendo il lavandino gli schizzi arrivavano ovunque, comprese le cose appoggiate sul ripiano. Anche alcuni dettagli del servizio mi hanno lasciato perplessa. Dopo aver accidentalmente macchiato le lenzuola, le ho lasciate visibili per facilitarne la sostituzione, ma sono rimaste esattamente come le avevo lasciate. La piscina è gradevole, ma anche qui ci sono dettagli che stonano con il livello che la struttura vorrebbe trasmettere: contenitori per gli asciugamani usati poco eleganti e alcune zone con vista diretta su impianti e strutture tecniche. La colazione è stata sufficiente. Nel complesso non si tratta di un brutto hotel. Tuttavia ritengo che il punteggio molto alto ricevuto online abbia creato aspettative che, nel mio caso, non sono state soddisfatte.

We had the most wonderful stay for our honeymoon! The staff was incredibly kind and helped us with everything we needed, making us feel so special from the moment we arrived. The rooms have a unique traditional design, the pool is great, and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

The hotel is a bit far from the center, but since we had a car it wasn’t a problem at all, and taxis can easily reach the place if needed.

Great breakfast, loved that they use glass bottles for water not plastic. Kind staff… nice bath tub and view of river.

The gym was super musty and the spa treatments were done right under aircon which I just feel had mold in the vents bc im allergic to mold and I could feel it going to my chest and throat. Still good spa treatments though but right under aircon in basement facility.

Great resort experience. Just chill and lounge and relax. Good spa. Really really good pool. The rooms were very spacious and cozy.

Just a couple of things in the bathroom. Only one towel hook. The faucet and sink is poorly designed such that water splashes everywhere

We hebben een mooie rondreis gemaakt door heel Thailand. Dit was de mooiste plek. Authentiek Thais, met alle luxe en super aardig personeel. In 5-7 min op de night market. Ook lekker gesport in de gym, om daarna een heerlijke pils aan het zwembad te drinken. Helemaal top

Fantastisch mooie plek, fijne kamers, mooi zwembad, mooie inrichting, heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We arriveerden met de nachttrein en konden redelijk snel al eerder inchecken. We kregen zelfs een upgrade waardoor we prachtige kamers hadden!

Hôtel magnifique digne des grands palaces. L’emplacement près du fleuve est très agréable. Et en taxi le centre de Chiang mai est tout près. L’hôtel est d’un très grand raffinement. Le mobilier est d’un style thaï très beau. La piscine est magnifique. Les chambres grandes, joliment décorées et très confortables. Le personnel est chaleureux et attentionné. Expérience parfaite !

Incredible staff who were polite and friendly. Exquisite breakfast with on-site chef for freshly cooked food. Nothing was too much trouble and we were well looked after during the 4 nights stay. 10 minute drive to CNX International Airport which was perfect. There is a really lovely Buddha and meditation area which was calming and tranquil. Beautiful koi fish too in the pond! Highly recommend a visit to Airport ChiangMai Mall - great shopping and under 10 minutes away.

Not a criticism of Rati Lanna but do be mindful of mosquitoes as they are plentiful in the ponds and river.

The staff were superb. So thoughtful and met our every need. The main waiter in the mornings was super kind, giving us recommendations for the day. We had the most relaxed time and it was so quiet. We are already looking at when to rebook. Incredible location as well. 💜

- Some furniture items need a bit of attention, like the swing on our balcony - The restaurant's food is just ok For these two small reasons I'm putting 9/10 and not 10/10, but to be fair it was a great stay :)

I had a wonderful one-week stay at RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort while recovering from a leg injury, and it truly felt like being with family. Everything was exceptional — the beautiful pool, peaceful garden, river views, well-equipped gym, and especially the warm and caring staff who made my stay so comfortable and relaxing. Fruit were delivered daily. The room, the terrase snd the bathroom were all very spacious, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully decorated. The entire hotel has a charming and elegant atmosphere that makes you feel calm the moment you arrive. It was the perfect place to slow down, rest, and recover. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for such a memorable and caring experience. I would happily return again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

The staff are exceptional!! The staff are 5 stars! Very comfy bed and outdoor rest lounge, loved the main control for all the lights at the bedside, the pool was so lovely and relaxing.

This hotel is not a true 5 star hotel, significant maintenance is needed in hotel bathrooms (deep cleaning and replacement), not enough pool chairs around the pool, not much around the hotel for alternative food you do need to taxi everywhere.

Grand pool with river view was great! The free upgrade is appreciated. The breakfast buffet was good though on first day they had no buffet for some reason? The rooms are spacious and the property is grand.

The property is grand but the staff are not. We stayed in pingviman lanna before this one and the hospitality there was something else. This hotel didn’t even match half of it which was a shock. The staff has likes and dislikes, for example my partner is Japanese so they treated her well but hardly ever talked to me.. Also, in breakfast the waitress in green suit was rude and angry for what reason only she knows. This really made our stay bitter. I think there are better properties in chiang mai and if you looking for a lanna experience then must skip this one! If business hotel kind of grand vibe then it is passable.

We have stayed at the Ratilana on previous trips to Chiang Mai, this time was special as we were hosting an 80th birthday party at the hotel. Everything was perfect, including the gala reception and dinner. The staff at the Ratilana go above and beyond.

RatiLanna was exceptional! The Lanna-period architecture of the hotel was breathtaking and took you back to ancient times! The woodwork in the bedroom was very impressive. The staff were so kind; they gave us free water whenever we requested; the hotel also has free transport to night market everyday. The restaurant served delicious food. We will stay here again!

Staff were very polite, kind, and helpful. The hotel was really beautiful and we had a great experience staying there. Pool area, bar, restaurant, and the gym were amazing. The room was so spacious and comfortable. We were lucky to get an upgrade to our room as well. They brought a cake to the room for birthday celebration, which was very sweet.

Some parts seemed a bit outdated but everything was nice overall.

De suite waarin wij verbleven was prachtig! Zo ruim en het bed was helemaal top! Heerlijk geslapen. Alle medewerkers zijn erg behulpzaam en lief. Ze hebben zelfs twee kleding stukken van ons op de post gedaan (naar ons volgende bestemming in Thailand), omdat we die waren vergeten. Echt een waanzinnig mooie tijd gehad hier met mijn gezin.

Amazing hotel! Absolutely stunning, very clean and well presented. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant food and drinks were really good, pool area and spa were beautiful. Really cannot fault the place at all! Location is great, far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle of chiang mai central but close enough to get a grab to main attractions. The hotel also provides complimentary taxi service each evening to the market.

We got attacked by ants or some little bugs on the terrace one night, but it’s tropical environment so not much we could do about it. Oh laundry was ridiculously expensive! Over $100 for a one small load!

Die Anlage ist groß und schön gestaltet. Das Gym ist sehr groß und hatte viele Geräte, das hat uns positiv überrascht. Man konnte nett neben dem Pool sitzen und die Aussicht auf den Fluss genießen.

Das Zimmer war sehr groß, jedoch haben wir uns nicht ganz wohl gefühlt. Es gab außer 2 unbequemen Stühlen keine weiteren Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Bad war etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bett auf dem Balkon war alt und mit Blick auf das Hauptgebäude ausgerichtet ... Am meisten gestört hat uns jedoch der andauernde Lärm. Wir hatten einen Balkon raus in Richtung Durchgang zum Restaurant. Hier lief jeden Abend bis 23/24 Uhr relativ laut dieselbe Musik. Die angrenzenden massiven Holztüren waren bei Benutzung auch nicht zu überhören. Als Krönung wurde uns 2 Mal am Abend vorher ein Zettel hingelegt, welcher auf eine Hochzeit hinwies die am nächsten Morgen um 7 Uhr morgens (!) Startet. Die Vorbereitungen dafür starteten bereits noch früher am Morgen und sorgten dafür dass wir ab 5 Uhr nicht mehr schlafen konnten.... Fazit: Leider hat dieses Hotel wenig mit Erholung und Spa zu tun....

The property is gorge! You feel like you are in your own private tropical oasis. The grounds are immaculate and the staff is very attentive and constantly cleaning. Such great design touches and decor. Beautiful scenery.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful. Be aware that somehow those sneaky mosquitoes find a way to sneak into your room. The hotel provides mosquito spray…but I also came prepared with mosquito repellent wipes that we put on before bed so we didn’t get bit. We learned after the first night. Would recommend loose fitting, light, long pajamas to protect yourself.

At first, we were quite disappointed with the double bed room while we booked a king size. The manager was quite proactive, offering us a suite master for the second and third nights.

Reservation should provide the correct accommodation in the first place, not as a correction of a situation.

This is a cozy resort hotel near attractions and star-rated restaurants. Staff are polite and helpful. The location is good, 10-15 minutes to the international airport. Rooms are big and almost all rooms have water view. The breakfast is international but I would suggest the resort add more healthy food items, such as soy milk with no added sugar, and nuts. Adding a self-service coffee machine will be helpful and add efficiency. Highly recommend this resort for both Asian and European tourists!

Mosquitoes -- perhaps that is inevitable in Chiang Mai. Be sure to have long sleeves and long pants in the suitcase.

Breakfast buffet and food overall was great. Scenic, peaceful location right on the river will a nice pool set up. Rooms spacious and in old school Thai luxury design. Staff very helpful and pleasant. The patios are spacious with a day bed which is nice touch.

The TV's do not have netflix or apps. Just cable which in way is good. You can watch Netflix at home so just enjoy Chang Mai and the beautiful property.

Ontbijt zou, op dit prijsniveau, iets uitgebreider mogen. Te weinig plek rondom het zwembad, en, natuurlijk weer vervelende medegasten die dit oplossen door al om 8 uur een handdoek op een stoel neer te leggen. Het Thaise personeel is té vriendelijk om hier tegen op te treden, ik zag mensen die 4 uur wegbleven, waarschijnlijk naar de stad, en hun ligstoel al die tijd onbeheerd, met een handdoekje en boek, achterlieten. Het personeel deed hier niets aan.

Das Personal wirkte kühl und wenig herzlich, ein freundlicher Empfang blieb aus. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr düster und nicht besonders einladend. Das Frühstück ist ausbaufähig: nur geringe Auswahl an Marmelade, kein Honig, und der Kaffee wird ausschließlich an den Tisch gebracht – da wir dies zunächst nicht wussten, wurden wir entsprechend schief angeschaut. Im Zimmer fehlen Stauraummöglichkeiten für Kleidung, im Bad gibt es lediglich einen Handtuchhalter. Beim Check-out wurden wir weder verabschiedet noch nach unserem Aufenthalt gefragt. Insgesamt kein Aufenthalt, den wir wiederholen würden.
