Breakfast was plentlyful, well cooked and good quality. Room was clean and well decorated, bed was comfy.
Wait for breakfast on first morning. Serving staff were apologetic for the wait though.
Staff fantastic, food good, just ticked every box.
交通很方便,往返机场,车站和NEC都很方便,门口就是公交车站
木质结构吧,隔音效果不好
Lovely staff
Nothing..100% spot on for business trips
Bed comfortable Good locatio Good size tv Staff lovely in hotel
Needed black put curtains in room. Noisy from bar and garden
Location and ease of getting to where I wanted to be.
The manager is rude and has an aggressive and unwelcoming tone about her. Her people skills were poor. The check in process was uncomfortable. The receptionists themselves were lovely.
Room was clean. Free parking and the breakfast was great. Hassle free check in and checkout.
The room was too warm; Noise of vehicles on the road nearby. Couldn't sleep at all. Moreover the fire alarm went off at middle of the night for apparently no reason. and every one had to come out; I has the most terrible nights in the recent past.
shower in room was Awesome! As was the overall decor/layout
Room was lovely, hotel looks to be undergoing a refurb in certain areas so will be interesting to see it complete if stay again! Breakfast was lovely, a nice range of cold items and a good selection on the menu to pick cooked items from.
The room was spacious. Nice bar and food...
Everything was fine...
Lovely setting, nice area outside with tables and sun umbrellas Food was good
Did not book for Breakfast. The pub and restaurant were fine, and we had an enjoyable meal with family. the room was adequate. the bed was fair, though my wife said lumpy. there was NO counter space in the bathroom. could not even leave out my toiletries.
I am being a diva here, but being charged 20 pounds for being twenty minutes after check-out, after spending more for our meals than we did on the room was like insult to injury.
Location perfect for us. Staff were excellent and helpful
Nothing
My room was beautiful! I had a standing bath and a shower. The water was hot and all the electrical appliances worked. The bed was very comfortable and my room was very quiet at night time. I even had a rocking chair which was cute! The location was perfect, near a wonderful walking spot with a brook, and with bus stops outside the hotel, one towards Coventry town centre, the other towards Birmingham international train station, NEC and the airport. They have luggage storage facilities.
An ambiguous conversation with the receptionist on arrival meant that I believed a complimentary continental breakfast was included. Unfortunately it wasn't so on checking out I was hit with a bill for 2 breakfasts that I wasn't expecting. Both the manager and Trevor the hotel owner, were awful and accused me of lying. I asked for a refund as I had to pay before leaving, it completely ruined my day.
Very clean Staff were very friendly Food was amazing Location was spot on
In right area had a bar
No fridge
Such a perfect location. Lovely ambiance.
Great staff. The room was spacious, modern and pleasantly quiet at night. Key card allowed access 24h. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The cooked breakfast was generous.
Parking is a little tight when the bar is open, especially if the weather is good or there's a function on. The room was decorated nicely but was looking a little jaded and could do with a refresh. The buffet breakfast was a little limited compared to other hotels.
I love this hotel always stay there when i am in Coventry. Food is delicious very clean and staff are freindly. Well done
friendly staff
Not the hotel's fault, but no wifi or TV working for first day
Service by waitress
Dark unventilated room, poor restaurant
Clean handy for airportand city
Breakfast expensive, slow in serving cooked breakfast probaly due to kitchen staff .Had a rump steak in the evening it was tough the chips were awful . The bar area in the evening was noisy.
Very friendly, helpful staff, room clean and well decorated; excellent shower. Quiet-ish location on a bus route to the city.
Breakfast a little over-priced with limited choices.
Really nice hotel with helpful staff. Facilities were excellent.
Room was quite hot and the fan was loud and old
The Staff the rooms are and done nicely bar is really lovely all good
Air Conn will be needed as the summers get hotter, the fans in the rooms are way to small
Amazing friendly staff, great room and good top notch

Hotel is lovely welcoming, staff where very friendly & polite lovely breakfast. Rooms very clean & comfortable.
Only one thing the dray man moving barrels at 6.15am was very loud outside my window woke me up.
De parkeerplaats voor de deur, vriendelijkheid, de inrichting en hygiëne van de kamer (nr 35)
Large room, comfortable bed.
The little details. Did not respond to messages sent before arriving. Long-winded and old-fashioned check-in process. Didn’t explain how to lock door which turned out wouldn’t shut on its own, musty smell in room, comically small sink in bathroom despite large shower, poor tea and coffee making facilities. Room too expensive for a facility like this. Breakfast expensive.
Great location and the rooms were really good. Large room and bed. Facilities were great and the staff were amazing

Fab hotel, decent room. Regardless of another guest getting bed bugs, I thought it was a great spot in a great location. I don't normally leave reviews but the receptionist was rude on several occasions. I had two rooms booked. She was rude to my brother when checking in - gave out about me booking both rooms under my name saying "you can't do that". (We work in hotels, yes we can). She proceeded to charge him after I had already paid. When I checked in the following morning, she was rude about my early arrival. I politely asked if it was possible to check in and she said "it's way too early" and that was it. She was dismissive when I asked about the refund for her error charging us twice and blamed Booking.com when it wasn't Booking.com speaking to my brother in such a disrespectful manner. She snapped at me the following morning when my fob wouldn't work. She was rude to 4 of my family members also staying in the Jacobean - 4 rooms booked.. I never leave reviews but I know two of your staff members and they were horrified, yet not surprised, by her cold reception. Irrespective of the fact that my family and I were in Coventry for a funeral, she made things much more difficult being rude to me and my family. We felt like an inconvenience interrupting her from her day. She is cold, rude and is the sole reason why will not be returning when we visit next month. The lady serving breakfast however was so friendly and wonderful when I arrived early and wanted breakfast. The night porter was also lovely. I don't know the rude receptionist's name but my friends who work there said you'll know exactly who I'm talking about. Thanks for a great stay otherwise.
See above. I've never left a bad review but she was beyond rude during an already incredibly difficult time for our family.
I arrived late and was made to feel very welcome. All facilities described. The fan was most welcome.
Maybe a bottle of water in the room. It was a very hot night.
The rooms were lovely, we had breakfast one day which was very good and the staff were lovely and very welcoming
This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. The first night was fine but when we arrived back for the second night the car was full, having no knowledge of the area, I asked the receptionist where we could park and her answer was “ I know some people park on the pub across the road but I don’t know how long you can stay there” which wasn’t very helpful. I then asked to book a table in the restaurant but was told I couldn’t as there was a wedding. Our only option was to eat in a very noisy bar, which we would have never chosen to do. It would have been so much better if they had just bothered to tell us all this upfront - even when we checked in as we could have found somewhere to eat on our way back
Room was beautifully furnished
Greedy dishonest management. So many lies. I call to ask if the cheapest double room for £60 is on the ground floor for disabled access... Lie 1: they say it is and that I should go ahead and book it on booking.com Lie 2: they send me a message saying I need to pay an additional £10 for a ground floor room because it has been refurbished and that they cannot waive the extra charge (of course they can, they have some descretion) Lie 3: the manager angrily tells me that they never said the £60 rooms were on the ground floor. Gaslighting me about a previous conversation they weren't even part of. Lie 4: they tell me I need to contact Booking.com to cancel without the 100% cancellation fee and that they cannot approve the request sent to them via booking.com. Lie 5: they tell me by phone they will cancel it at 7am the next morning for FREE but cannot provide anything it writing by email or booking.com chat and I need to take their word for it. All corrospondance is by phone which I cannot legally record without their consent. Lie 6: they tell me the manager has gone home but I hear them talking in the background. Once at the hotel, the list of fees made Ryanair feel generous. even replenishing tea in room is an extra fee. I felt really powerless throught and the useless Booking.com AI put me completely at the hotel's mercy. Avoid this hotel at all costs unless you have bottomless pockets. The picture on the sign at the lobby is very symbolic of the service I received.
Love the place and the upgraded WiFi is a real bonus
Nothing
Friendly staff. Room had been recently renovated so everything was perfect.
good breakfast, new refurbished room, very pleasant staff
It really friendly from the minute you arrive Staff , management , housekeeping , everyone Being renovated and the new bedrooms are gorgeous. Food was outstanding Will definitely be back
I have stayed here previously but not for awhile, I thought at one stage, it had closed down! Has a new owner and some big improvements. Reception staff were lovely and helpful, room was very clean, tidy and comfortable, excellent shower and comfy beds. Location fantastic for Coventry and visiting family etc and reasonable price for the room, so a positive and good outcome.
Again no EV charging but I guess that's an on going issue.
Lovely hotel and beer garden. Receptionist was very welcoming as were the bar staff. Bedding all clean and room was of a good size. We were also upgraded to king sized bed which was very kind.. shower was perfect too. Breakfast was plentiful and our waitress was fabulous. Hot pastries were great. We would stay again.
Fan was not sufficient for the room and started to sound like 5 helicopters had landed. No glasses in room. The quilt was way too thick for the time of year and pillows were a bit to hard. Bacon couldn't be cut with a knife as so chewy.
The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The building is a little dated, the windows allow a lot of noise from the road, the floors creek and the halls were either going through refurbishment or really needed some.
Excellent
Nothing
The room that I often stay in has been revamped and modernised and was very nice
Nothing it was all good including breakfast
Friendly staff.
Nothing.
Good meals and breakfast
another more comfortable chair in the room would have been good

Extremely disappointing stay – 25 June to 28 June 2026 We stayed at the Jacobean Hotel from 25 June to 28 June 2026, during the period of exceptionally high temperatures, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. We fully appreciate that the hotel cannot control the weather. However, what it can control is how it looks after its guests, and in our case there was a complete lack of empathy, flexibility and customer care. Our unrefurbished room became unbearably hot, which was particularly concerning as we were travelling with our dog. We explained that the room was far too hot, but were offered no help whatsoever—no extra fan, no ice or cold water for our dog, and no alternative solution. The manager herself acknowledged that the weather was experiencing “extraordinary temperatures”, yet refused to take any extraordinary measures to help her guests. There was a fire exit in the hallway that had been left open while the cleaners were working, allowing some much-needed airflow. Later it was shut and locked. When I politely asked the manager if it could be reopened to improve ventilation, she refused and offered no alternative, despite the extreme heat. The poor customer service continued in the bar. We paid £16 for two glasses of wine, which were served warm rather than chilled. When we politely asked if we could have some ice, we were met with a look of disbelief, as though we had asked for something unreasonable. In the middle of exceptionally hot weather, asking for ice with warm wine seemed like a perfectly reasonable request, yet we were made to feel uncomfortable for asking. To make matters worse, my son was confronted by a male member of staff after our dog urinated outside the hotel. His manner was aggressive and intimidating, and he even reached towards our dog as though he was trying to grab him. There was no need for the situation to be handled in this way, and it left us feeling shocked and upset.
Nice garden and location

room, breakfast, staff excellent
Car park too small, nowhere to park.
There nothing I liked
The Jacobean is advertised on Google as having rooms that dogs can stay, however the staff at the hotel said this was not the case. When we arrived the welcome was limited, the entrance hall and stairs tired and grubby, the room was dirty, and despite the attempt at opulence in room décor the outcome was cheap and nasty, I would never stay again and would not recommend it
The room was cute and the bed very comfortable. Also a very quiet room which is unusual in a hotel
The tv kept disconnecting from the WiFi so we weren't able to watch anything while in the room
Lovely hotel with great service
Please please please upgrade the wifi
Fantastic

Staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, was offered a free upgrade as my room was above the bar with England playing

Individual breakfast cooked to order excellent. Pub Garden also excellent.
Car park crowded.
Great facilities.
Very minor but I like showers which provide flexible shower heads and not just a fixed downward spray.
Check in girl was excellent
.
Room was clean, spacious, cosy
Everything was great, food was good value and large portions. Room was clean and comfortable.
The only small issue was the WiFi dropping in and out.
What a lovely building, gorgeous newly renovated room. It seems they are doing a full renovation of the whole place Staff were extremely polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and food was amazing Definitely will stay again
Close to the CBS arena. The Deluxe king rooms are newly refurbished, very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay.
leaving
Clean room and very good breafkfast
Lovely hotel nice staff and excellent breakfast
Convenient to Coventry building society arena
It was a really lovely hotel. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant- really nice food and very reasonably priced. Parking is free. The staff are lovely.
The corridors need a clean. It was a minor thing that did not impact our stay, but when we walked to our room, I did wonder what we were walking into.
Excellent in every way.

Very convenient location in a nice area, lovely staff, clean comfortable & well decorated hotel with a good bar area and great beer garden overlooking fields
Liked all that we saw
Great location. Very reasonably priced
The location was ideal for us - we were attending a family party at a nearby golf club. The breakfast was very very good - with plenty of choice.
Nothing
Was old , noisy, unkempt
The staff were nice.
The bed was small. The mattress was terrible and had seen better days. The outside sitting area was noisy and one could not take a rest whilst the bar was open. The glass disposal bins where too close to the rooms at back and side that made things worst. The breakfast was average mainly because the oil used for frying was well past usefulness. The bar staff were inexperienced in mixing a simple gin and tonic or an Aperol and were clearly overworked. Not all the food on the menu was available to eat outside on the hottest weekend of the year.
The new refurbished rooms are beautiful as is the beer garden overlooking the horses
couldn't fault it
We booked at the royal court hotel and were extremely disappointed that we had to leave due to our experience so called the jacobean at almost 11pm they were extremely helpful and sorted us a room and such short notice so we are very grateful it's wasn't expensive either the room was lovely clean and very comfortable night sleep and the breakfast was absolutely delicious so if are ever back in the area I'm definitely booking back with this hotel
Was really lovely, staff were friendly and the room was great. Was a fantastic place to be near to the NEC
WiFi was extremely slow and the TV didn't really work.
Easy to find, lovely room with a gorgeous mezzanine level. Never stayed anywhere quite like this! Felt like luxury at a very affordable price. Lovely staff, very clean room and free parking
Location good. First time I stayed.
Very dated room with tiny tv! Stayed above the main lounge bar area so very noisy so difficult to sleep.
Lovely hotel, reception staff were friendly and the room had clearly just been renovated. The room was spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable, with a variety of pillows. It also had an iron and ironing board and plenty of coat hangers which sometimes are lacking
The television relies on the Internet to watch, however then signal was not stable enough to allow this.
Think the breakfast was good but ideally lasting until 11, for people with late check out
A couple of DIY jobs needed doing around the barn and on the ceiling near the window. An addition of a toaster/microwave or something like that in some of the rooms, for a wider facility option for guests.
The location is good. Not noisy and they have pub service, a very good garden with very good sun umbrella
It’s hard to find what I didn’t like
everything was better than expected for the money we paid. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless and comfortable. The bar was very well staff for the amount of people in the hotel which was very nice to see.
Couldn't fault it.
Bus stop right outside, overlooked trees and field, found a nature walk nearby, walking distance into village, window opened, iron and board already in room although didn't use
There was no fan in room/temperature control or vent/fan in shower room, had to ration our tea/coffee supplies to avoid extra costs, rain shower is great but hard to wash and keep hair dry at the same time, dogs barking in other rooms and knowing there might have been dogs in our room previously
Great location, lovely rooms, very comfortable bed. Second time staying here and I will be back
The shower soaked the bathroom. Poor design more than anything.
Lovely staff , very quiet, great location. Super breakfast and great value for money 😀
Nothing
It was very clean, the bathtub in the room was brilliant. All of the necessary amenities included.
Water would come out from the shower into the main room.
