Excellent location with smart reception and bar interior.

Room was quite small to include a four-poster bed. Bathroom was quite tight. Restaurant wasn't bad but not great either. Food, although cooked well, served incorrectly one day and glasses were taken away whilst a bottle of wine sat on the table half-empty.

There is no car parking facility. There is a drop off area with room for 4 cars at the front of the hotel, but access to and from the road is extremely difficult. They recommend to park in the railway station car park,a good 10 minute walk away,which is a real ask for elderly people particularly carrying luggage,and also comes with additional cost. A suggestion might be for the hotel to run a courtesy car to and from the car park.

It is a spacious well proportioned boutique hotel with an excellent location, a good restaurant and very attentive staff.

The lack of a car park and the distance to drive and walk back to the nearest recommended one (train station) was a bit disappointing (though I didn’t check ahead of arrival). The breakfast wasn’t quite as good as the dinner quality but that was only a minor thing.

Great location.First night our room was not ideal however they did address for our 2nd night and we stayed in room 109 which was ideal. Receptionists were helpful and considerate.

Great location and very breakfast was lovely. The hotel is beautiful and has so much character and charm.

The staff just didn’t seem to care or have any pride in their work, everything seemed to be a chore for them. The welcome note in the room was addressed to someone else; the lady swiftly took it away and confirm this was our room but we never did receive our own welcome note despite being a celebration for us, which they knew about The toilet was blocked and the entire plumbing system made a tremendous churning sound through the middle of the night but as the phone in the room didn’t work so was unable to connect reception via a call so I used my phone and my call was not answered! There blind in the room was off it’s runner and made the room quite dark and was just the icing on the cake of a fumbled stay !

Everything was fine at the hotel. The only thing was we were disappointed that the restaurant was closed. I know it was Bank Holiday Monday but we were not aware that the restaurant was closed.

We appreciated the room, the attention to detail and the decor, as well as the special restored historic coat of arms in the room.

We would've liked an earlier start to breakfast (7.00 or 7.30), instead of the 8.00am start.

A very impressive hotel in a perfect location. We really can't fault the service, value, comfort or cleanliness. Staff were brilliant....friendly, helpful, informative and attentive. Our room was gorgeous. Spacious, immaculately presented and thoughtful layout. I have recommended the hotel to so many friends, since we returned home.

It's a great hotel and we will return. A slightly slower breakfast service would have been more relaxing. Staff are so efficient and keen to serve, our hot breakfast order arrived before I had a chance to choose cereals or fruit from buffet. It's not a complaint. Just a preference!

A great location in town, with river views. The room was larger than expected, and breakfast was cooked fresh every day. Everyone was super helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely book again. Parking is not available at this location, but the station car park is reasonably priced and a short walk away.

The location was great. The room was lovely, very clean, and overlooked the river. The staff were extremely helpful, very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

There is no parking at the hotel, just a 30 minute drop off point. We parked at the long stay car park at the train station, which was an approx 10 minute walk away and was very reasonably priced at £6 per day.

Die Hotelbar ist zu teuer und schlecht (fertiger Espresso Martini). Der "Garten" ist kein Garten, sondern man sitzt mit Blick auf die Mülltonnen auf alten Plastikstühlen. Das Hotel hat einen wirklich völlig vernachlässigten Außenbereich an der Themse, wo man auf schmutzigen Möbeln aus Plastikgläsern zu warmen und völlig überteuerten Wein trinkt. Schade um die Lage. Man könnte aus diesem Hotel mit wenig Aufwand eine Oase machen.....

The welcome the minute you step through the door, and continues throughout your stay. Beds are so comfortable, bathroom is luxurious and the air con in the room was very efficient. All staff go above and beyond which makes your stay very satisfying.

I cannot fault anything on my 3 night break.

Hotel location is perfect for a short stay in Henley and surrounding area. Has its own restaurant and a lovely breakfast with a good selection of hot or cold

No on site parking so need to find a space nearby either at station or on road. For price point, the room didnt have a wow factor so was disappointed.

Train station where you park is about 7 minutes away so use a case either wheels but there is a few parking spaces outside where you could do a quick case drop off first but as I didn’t have a reply to my email question we carried our bags from the station. (PS I did down load the parking app which did make it easier to park but you don’t get 24hrs from when you park it’s a new charge for each day but still reasonable) The dining room is being revamped so there is a bit of disruption but nothing major.

The location was excellent. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice, I chose to have continental on the second day as there was so much choice.

The room was for a disabled person and I found the bathroom not what I would have expected. We had a wet room which I found a bit clinical. It didn’t spoil our stay and thought Henley was well worth the trip.

An outstanding stay at Relais Henley-on-Thames. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and flexible, accommodating our request to extend our trip and retain our preferred room without hesitation. Their local knowledge and network of contacts helped us arrange boat hire and make the most of the area, demonstrating a level of service well beyond what we expected. A special thank you to Mr Patrick, who is clearly at the heart of the operation and helps create the warm, professional atmosphere throughout the hotel. The property is perfectly located, tastefully modernised, and maintained to a high standard. It is evident that investment has been made not only in the building but also in training staff to deliver first-class British hospitality. Highly recommended.

The room was one of the smallest we have ever stayed in and the buffet breakfast was on a par with premier inn

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes großes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Themse. Die Dusche war phänomenal was wir sehr zu schätzen wussten. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal.

Das betrifft weniger das Hotel als Henley. Henley ist doch sehr touristisch was sich in leider in viel Autoverkehr zeigt.

We will definitiely be coming back. It's less then a 10 minute walk from the train station. Our room was lovely, over looking the river and had a lovely big bath. The buffett at breakfast was great, nice selection of hot food and the danishes were freshly cooked on site, couldn't ask for more. The staff were brilliant, they were there to help whenever you needed, even got a massage organised for us before we arrived as I couldn't get a booking on line.

Very little wrong with this venue, if I was to get picky, the lift is slow and some of the carpets look a little tired, but really it's all great.

It has a heritage feeling, it's very nicely decorated and clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is such a bonus! And a free upgrade is also a great bonus. Breakfast was also excellent.

We really wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm and friendly welcome. Staff were really thoughtful and extremely courteous. Our room was spacious and cool and looked out onto the river. We greatly appreciated the very kind gift left in our room, in celebration of our Golden Wedding anniversary. Such a surprise and a very kind and thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant very cool and airy, which was wonderful as it was very hot outside. There was a very comfortable outside terrace/courtyard area, almost like a garden room. Very relaxing! We loved every moment of our stay and would love to go back again soon. Thank you so much.

Nice hotel - very inappropriate conversation by breakfast staff on 2 days. I will write to hotel as writing content here would be very unfair.

Amazing location for regatta attendees (I was coaching during practice week). And the AC is amazing in case of a historic heat wave (four days of 100 degree heat!). Plus the bar makes a truly fantastic Tanqueray martini.

Great property. No complaints. Didn’t eat at the restaurants so can’t speak to those. The shower head was weirdly low in my room. Seems like an easy fix to make the shower more user friendly. But overall fantastic.
