Very comfortable and excellent helpful staff
Room was very spacious, cooked breakfast was individually served. Plenty of friendly staff. Parking in a cellar(?) which we were able to use. Big reception rooms and bistro. Lovely courtyard.
No lift unfortunately as it was in a big old brewery. This meant it was authentically old with beams but also quite dark. Although it had some big entertainment spaces, it was a bit of a warren when moving around and to get to your room
Location was great
Decor a bit boring
Good location and comfortable room
Was noisy and was woken by other guests coming and going at 3-4am two nights in a row. Parking is not guaranteed and is charged. Breakfast is supposed to be from 7am. At 7:10am it was still not fully set up and we had to leave for a flight so missed out having pre-paid.
Breakfast was good quality products and perfect.
Nothing it was all great.
Jeśli chodzi o śniadanie: full english - może być, kontynentalne - OK.
Lovely location and food excellent - upgrade to a room with a roll top bath - definitely worth it!
Green stairs!
The room was nice but the cooked breakfast was not very nice unfortunately.
The room was lovely I think there could have been more lovely extras in the suite
It was in a great location, and all of the staff were very friendly. The room was beautiful and the breakfast excellent.

Gorgeous rooms and great location.
Parking was a little tough but we found a place on the road around the corner.
Thought it was very good value for money. Huge room, excellent facilities, very comfortable bed and right on the river in Henley
Parking charge was a bit steep, although I do understand parking is in short supply near the hotel
The Hotel Du Vin Henley was magical. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean with a comfy bed and great amenities. The hotel has a great bar with fantastic cocktails. The hotel is right next to the river. We were able to walk everywhere in Henley. Great walks along the river with nice parks. People are out walking their dogs, playing with their children, biking, rowing down the river. Great stuff. The town of Henley on Thames has fun boutique shops, great restaurants and pubs. Loved every minute.
I think the hotel is in a small building that used to be a brewery. I think having an elevator would have made it easier to get our suitcases up and down the stairs. but may ruin the feel of the place. The truth is, we didn't mind.
Location in Henley was really good. Food was excellent and reception staff helpful. We had a suite and two standard rooms. Suite with balcony bathtub was fantastic.
Showers were very difficult to work, need to have instructions on which dial to turn for what function. Hot water was scalding. Signs indicated that this was the case but it was far too hot to use without filling basin.
The bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable. Good coffee pod machine and tea making facilities. Lovely toiletries. Location perfect for our needs.
No hooks in the bathroom for towels, robes etc. had to put everything on the floor. Nowhere for toilet bag near very small basin so, again, had to put it on the floor. We’d been allocated a disabled room even tho we are not disabled in any way.
Gorgeous interiors with comfortable, sizable rooms. Loved having a full bathtub alongside the shower. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We are planning to come back for another stay.
Great room.
Very poor breakfast. The qualiry and selection needs improving for £25pp. We tried it once but then went out for breakfast and it put us off dining there .
Lovely hotel
Interesting use made of an old building. Nice room.
No lift. Quite expensive. Difficult access to car park + cost
Great location and very nice atmosphere throughout the hotel
Paying for parking
Great stopping off point on Thames Path. Friendly staff and excellent room opening onto the courtyard so could easily walk the dog. Super breakfast to set us up for the day. Never been to Henley before and will now be back!
Lovely decor, great location and we had a fantastic room
Woken up at 0730 with banging and work being done in the room opposite by the maintenance staff - we were in comtes de champagne and the work was being done in room called Pol Roger!!!
Nice hotel with a great location
No health club/ spa of any sort. Parking is a pain
Excellent customer service Incredible beds Quiet location
Nothing it was perfect
Location and comfort
A very nice hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly. Great carpark
That we were not able to book/reserve the hotel for the same time next year. Apparently the tariff has not yet be set!!
Location, lovely room
Low water pressure for shower
Everything! Although we booked an ordinary room, we were given Umani, which was an accessible room, and just fabulous.
Nothing!
Great decoration. Big rooms
Room names not numbers
Nice staff, good location, well presented.
Would have been nice if room had been cleaned for our second night.
We had a wonderful lunch today , a bonus that we could sit outside in the lovely courtyard too as the weather was good . The food was delicious and we both had steaks which were cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming and the manager Robert was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel interior is gorgeous, modern but also kind of cosy inside, great location for a Henley wedding with the river literally outside ! We didn’t stay so I can’t comment on a hotel stay but I would love to stay here .We will definitely be back
Chic and nice atmosphere
The restaurant menu is expensive.
This hotel is probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in the UK. The location couldn’t be better as you are virtually seconds from the river. The atmosphere is chilled and chic. Not too quiet but peaceful in a really relaxing way. The areas inside and out are truly beautiful and the attention to detail is not lost to the incredible decor. Rooms are spectacular. Really specious and well thought out with every imaginable thing you could need for your stay. Towels, bedding and soft furnishings are all tasteful and exquisite. The staff at this hotel work tirelessly but are so welcoming and accommodating. Making sure that you have the best experience whilst always finding time for a little chat to see how your day is going. I couldn’t fault this hotel and would wholeheartedly recommend it for an exceptional stay
The staff were very friendly especially in the dining area. The room was perfect for us and being so close to the river was a bonus. It was also good to have secure parking.
Have stayed at different Hotel du Vin before and thought Henley would be the ideal venue for our anniversary break. We had an upgrade to a deluxe room- lovely room, great size, everything we needed. Our room was across the coutyard from the main building, accessed by a door, then a set of stairs, then two rooms at the top. I appreciate the hotel cannot be responsible for other guests but being woken up at 4.30am by our corridor mate coming in and both doors crashing shut was not acceptable, it must be easy to put dampners on the doors so they don't slam? Also it is an historic building and has single pane windows, which have no effect on reducing sound. The courtyard below is obviously lovely in the summer for people to sit out in, the very loud music from the bar did go off around 11pm but unfortunately the large group of drunk people sitting and shouting directly under our windows did not stop until after midnight. I would suggest not booking one of these rooms in the summer, we hadn't, but the upgrade turned out to be a dual edged sword- but maybe somewhere at the back of the main building would have been better. We had a dinner, bed and breakfast package. The restaurant was virtually empty, only one or two other couples, plus a gentleman on his own working on a laptop in the corner who didn't seem to be eating. The food was fine but we were continuously disturbed by this man having loud business calls on his phone, zoom calls where we heard everyone speaking and randomly playing maybe adverts from the laptop? Again, I know the hotel is not responsible for guests behaviour but this man could have been asked to sit in the bar, or in the completely empty lounge to have his loud phone calls all night if he didn't want to sit in his room. It completely ruined our meal. Unfortunately, said man was still in the same spot when we came to breakfast, still shouting on his phone so managed to ruin our breakfast too- it's not a Starbucks, I don't think guests should be allowed to treat it as such. I was then disgusted when he loudly blew his nose on one of the linen serviettes on his table- it was time to check out.... I did speak with the manager at check out who apologised and said he would speak to his staff who were on duty, he also reduced our dinner bill from the night before. It hasn't really changed the fact our special anniversary break was ruined though, we would not return here, it's not a cheap option and had the character of a Travelodge.
Very clean and spacious. The bathroom was well supplied with bath wash and creams of a high standard. Staff friendly and helpful.
There was nothing it was lovely.
Location was excellent Room comfortable , shower excellent. Air con a bonus with such hot weather
The restaurant and courtyard were good, but attention to detail on food could be better Eg .ordered eggs on brown toast came on white toast. Onion soup ,cheese topping burnt black. Couple next to us had to reorder breakfast as original order lost. Car park could be easier to find, and very tight for a large vehicle
Sympathetically renovated listed building with comfortable fixtures and fittings
Liked it all
Staff really friendly and engaging. Food was excellent The bedroom was really clean and the bed so comfortable
It was a fantastic stay.
Location great, gorgeous rooms. Lovey court yard. Food and wine delicious
No negatives
Great location - proximity to river, Kenton Theatre and town. Ease of access to room - just one short flight of stairs. Was able to check in early. Beautiful courtyard for drinks. Lovely staff.
Parking was a bit tight, but great that it is provided.
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast delicious. Cocktails delicious also. A great spot for visiting Henley.
We had the suite which was fantastic also right in town
We loved it all
Lovely hotel and rooms.
Location was just right, good safe parking.clean rooms and bar credit for not having the room for second night stay
Couldn’t fault,
The bathroom was fantastic and large. The room was comfortable. The service from staff was always charming. Breakfast was wonderful
Nice building and centrally located close to the river
Even if I booked for three person two adults and one children and they knew being eleven at out arrival they asked a charge for the third bed. It makes no sense charge directly the rate showed, otherwise seems no sense. It is an attitude of low cost planes for a high priced hotel. Really something that pisses off customer. I wonder where the children should sleep if I did not paid the surcharge. And once again the presence and the age of the children was declared since the beginning
The location was good, right near the town centre. The room was a good size. The staff, on the whole, were friendly. When we mentioned the problems with our stay an attempt was made to rectify it however we went there for a special occasion and it didn’t feel very special. If we’d had known that the hotel was no better than a premier inn we would haves have booked that and saved some money.
The room was ‘tired.’ There were cobwebs and spots where the walls were chipped and the plaster was showing. The service in the restaurant was confused and disorganised. Our wine came out before our cocktails. Our sides didn’t appear until we asked for them. It felt like the team wasn’t cohesive and didn’t have clear roles and responsibilities. This led to a stressful dining experience.
Situation in middle of town and near river. Lovely courtyard and indoor bars. Very spacious and comfortable room with fabulous bathroom
Breakfast was disappointing on our first morning ( continental) however very good cooked breakfast on second. Service in bar and at reception was slow ( reception staff member was serving in the bar so we had to wait for her to check us in ) . We were charged a service charge in the bar despite waiting 15 minutes for our drinks to be served. There is no lift and stairs are very steep.
Great staff
I was upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the courtyard.
Nothing.
Really unique
My car couldn’t fit into the carpark
Clean, smart, location.
Limited gated parking but was lucky enough to have a space.
Fantastic location, comfortable room (deluxe), good breakfast and bar, relaxed environment. Room felt updated and bed was very comfortable. Loved the tub. Breakfast offering was good. Staff were nice and professional. Courtyard was nice to sit in
I was offered a free drink in exchange for not having my room cleaned, which I accepted. However, the free drink was actually a voucher for £7.50, and unfortunately there aren’t many drinks available at the bar for this price other than soft drinks and a few lower end beers. I wish I had known this beforehand- I ended up still paying for my drink (albeit at a discounted price). No water bottles in the room. I also found a short black hair in my bed- definitely not mine! I had meetings at 08:45 so wish breakfast was offered a bit earlier… 0800 felt a little rushed. Rain shower head wasn’t really working properly so I used the handheld.
Booked afternoon tea on the website for during the regatta. Arrived at the alloted time and was told that afternoon tea is not available during the regatta, but would check with the chef if they could put something together. The member of staff checked their website and confirmed that afternoon tea should have been taken off as a bookable option, and he was very sorry and wanted to make it up to us. The chef sadly didn't have anything available, and the member of staff was very apologetic and said we could order off the menu and everything would be charged at the afternoon tea rate. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne, and sat in the courtyard and had a wonderful lunch. The food and the service was first class, and we were looked after impeccably. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the chaps name, but he was absolutely brilliant and treated us so well, and we will definitely come back for our afternoon tea.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right place. Hotel du Vin Henley is in a fantastic location right next to the river, making it perfect for a relaxing stay and for exploring the beautiful town of Henley-on-Thames. The hotel itself is full of character, having been thoughtfully converted from a former brewery while still retaining all of its original charm. It has a unique atmosphere that makes it feel both historic and welcoming. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A very special mention has to go to Sunny ! on reception. She was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay always greeting guests with a warm smile, cheerful, approachable, and genuinely happy to help. She never stopped being positive and professional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her exceptional customer service really made our stay even more enjoyable. She is a real credit to the hotel and deserves recognition for the fantastic job she does. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and left already looking forward to our next visit. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel du Vin Henley to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful riverside setting with outstanding hospitality. Thank you to the whole team & we'll definitely be back!
Location.well maintained.nice outdoor area
No lift, steep stairs for my wife who although not disabled struggles on stairs and no warning beforehand. Very poor choice in bistro in evenings and costly.
Beautifully restored and tastefully furnished
Steep stairs could be a problem for some people
The hotel is gorgeous. Keeping a lot of the original features. Our bedroom was lovely with a quirky upstairs bathroom which was huge. The beds were very comfortable. We had an evening meal.which was very nice and reasonably priced.
Car park was a little difficult to find and a little pricey. Had to leave by 11 even though next guest couldn't check in till 3. To stay an extra hour would be £15! Lighting in the bathroom could do with a shaving, make up light
Booked the Bistro for Saturday night and was one of the most dissapointing meals I have ever had
Location. Staff were excellent. Bath Non slip stainless steel shower tray.
Stairs and no apparent lift.
Great location, comfortable rooms and beds and great evening meal and Breakfast
Everything was great
Me imaginé algo más imponente
Estaba bien. Los pisos sonaban a viejo
We liked it all, a good position in Henley. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Underground parking spaces, not many but considering it was Henley Festival we got a parking spaces.
Beautiful decor and an excellent location. Air con in the bedroom was very efficient and completely soundless which I liked very much
Nothing
Close to the centre of Henley
It was supposed to be an air con room but it wasn’t very effective as a result the room was far too warm
Good location and facilities
Poor car parking
The location was very convenient. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. Although it's not a big room, it had everything. There're a lot of details which we enjoyed.
Perhaps it was the Royal Regatta Week, the room price was slightly expensive.
Beautiful property. Friendly staff. Lovely tidy and clean room. Lovely courtyard to eat and drink in. Easy access to the town centre.
Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Very good choice at breakfast
Great location, friendly front desk (Joyla), large room with nice view of court yard (ask for ALEX GAMBLE room), lots of rooms to lounge with friends and family, and AC (air conditioning). Stayed 3 nights during a heatwave and the AC was a delight!
Found their lunch prices to be very high. Recommend walking 5 mins to one of the restaurants nearby. Better food and cheaper than hotel.
Lovely historic building. Very relaxed outdoor area.
Nothing
Amazing location and beautiful suite. Staff fantastic, esp in bar/restaurant
Heatwave and aircon not strong enough. It’s an old photo building. Once fans brought in it helped a little.
Lovely hotel, great room clean and comfortable, very friendly staff and helpful very good breakfast ,great location
It was all good
Perfect location

Good sized room
A little noisy
Good location, clean rooms
I thought the upgrade was very underwhelming , the room was a weird shape and not as advertised on the pictures enticing me to upgrade overall disappointed in it
My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location was great, and we enjoyed exploring the nearby areas together. A special thank you to Sunny for her kindness and support throughout our stay. She was always helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this place to other couples looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Looking forward to visiting again!
Had an absolutely amazing stay! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional hospitality. A special shout-out to Sunny, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her friendly nature, helpful attitude, and warm smile truly made a difference. I especially loved spending my evenings around the property and enjoying the calm atmosphere. Everything was well organized, and the staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay. A memorable experience from start to finish. I would happily recommend this place to friends and family and can’t wait to visit again!
I stayed here on a solo trip and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the nearby attractions and enjoy the surroundings. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. A special thank you to Sunny for being so helpful and welcoming throughout my visit. She was always available to assist and gave me great recommendations on places to visit, which made my trip even more enjoyable. The hospitality was excellent, and I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my entire stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and peaceful stay, and I would definitely love to visit again!
As a solo female traveler, I felt completely comfortable and welcomed during my stay here. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to get around and explore the area. My room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, which made my trip even more relaxing. A special thank you to Sunny for being so kind and helpful throughout my stay. She made me feel at home from the moment I arrived and gave me some wonderful recommendations on places to visit nearby. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was warm and safe, and everything was well taken care of. I had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this place to other solo travelers. Looking forward to coming back again someday!
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful.
The car park was very compact with very narrow parking spaces and very little room to navigate into the spaces. You definitely park at your own risk!
A beautiful room with an enormous bathroom. Very comfortable beds and a fabulous breakfast (with some of the best bacon we've had in years) made for a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Henley. The hotel is at the pricer end of the market but you get what you pay for.
Average. I came down at 9.35am and many of the breakfast options were already not available, which is pretty poor given this is only halfway during the service. My friend then came down later and there was virtually nothing left. I was told this was because “it had been a very busy morning” which is kind of irrelevant to be honest.
The price of the hotel is not commensurate to the quality. The rooms are slightly better than a Premier Inn standard but extremely more expensive. The shower didn’t work in my room either.
My friends and I travelled from LA and had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel du Vin. The hotel is beautiful, full of character, used to be a brewery which was so cool and perfectly located for exploring Henley. The rooms were beautiful cozy, and the bed was so.... comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. A special mention goes to Sunni, who truly made our visit memorable. Her knowledge of the local area was fantastic she helped us find some great English pubs, recommended places to visit, and even guided us towards some of the best countryside walks around Henley. Nothing was too much trouble, so friendly, very welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. We arrived as a group of friends from LA and left with wonderful memories. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return one day.
The location was excellent for exploring Henley, the room was beautiful and the staff, in particular the bartender was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful in helping us choose a wine.
The car park is extremely small and on arrival it was full so had to find alternative parking, to be fair we were told its first come. We arrived 30 minutes early and wasn’t allowed to check in, it would have been nice if they could at least check if the room was ready before just saying “no”
Everything
nothing
My wife & I have stayed in a few Hotel du Vins as we like the locations, atmosphere and the people who work there. We booked the Henley on Thames hotel direct for three nights and were not informed of any building work in progress at the hotel. There was scaffolding all over the outside of the building outside our room, the first morning from 8am there was noise of workman walking over the roof & on the scaffolding boards. My view from the bed was of a workman standing on the scaffolding. I asked about the building work at reception & was told that it would be finished this morning. We came back for an afternoon nap & to relax & were greeted with very loud drilling noise just below our room. I took a video & played it to reception & we were moved to a quieter room. A phone call the next morning warned us that there would be a workman on a cherry picker outside our window & to draw the curtains. As always the people working there are lovely, but this was totally unacceptable and we would not have booked if we had known about the building work. They were hoping that everyone would leave by 8am & not return until after 5pm. We will no longer trust the Hotel du vin brand & will look elsewhere in future. I would love to share the video, but Tripadviser won't let me.
Great location right next to the thames and 2 minutes to the town centre , lovely indoor and outdoor dining areas
Nothing that deserves a mention
No negative points about my stay the location was great the room was brilliant and the staff were so kind and welcoming especially Sunny who couldn’t of been helpful
Classic Hotel du Vin room - which is to say spacious, elegant and well appointed. Everything is good quality especially the bed linen. Delicious meal, excellent wine and a lovely waiter.
We booked a dinner b&b package but there were a few hidden extras that weren't included which meant the final bill was a bit more than I anticipated. My fault tbh, I didn't check / fully understand what was extra. Just be aware. Even so it was still good value given the quality of the accommodation and food. Our room had scaffolding outside it due to renovations but it was not in use whilst we occupied the room.
Central to the town and the room was excellent value
Nothing
Only issue was the mattress as it was 2x single beds zipped together and the mattresses weren’t flush so there was a large ridge - otherwise great
