The staff are very friendly and helpful but we were given the wrong room and no one made any attempt to sort it out.
Breakfast excellent. Window screen blocked light out.

Great staff, excellent location, comfy room!

Great location for the Southport Flower Show.
Lovely rooms, very comfy beds, great breakfast
The staff were exceptional especially the door man. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast choice was very good but the scrambled eggs were tasteless and watery. The mushrooms were stewed in the covered bowl . I thought though it was a good idea to order any other egg with the waitress
Great staff throughout the hotel. Efficient and friendly. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Have stayed many times and always feel well looked after.
There’s nothing to ‘not like’ but I do wish the rooms had better mirrors for make-up. They’re fine for shaving but not for applying make up.
Room was comfortable and a reasonable size. Restaurant for breakfast was pretty good

Our hotel of choice in Southport, being a blue BADGE owner parking outside hotel ideal (think we've be really lucky but always had parking space outside main entrance) staff on reception very welcoming, and the Door man is lovely, food lovely and very reasonable, bar prices very good for a hotel, breakfast brilliant if you want something that not on buffet, chef will cook it fresh.
Trying to think of something but nothing, will definitely be back soon.
We've been coming here since around 2011. The hotel is stylish, always clean, and the rooms are very comfortable. Had an amazing sleep in a gorgeous large bed with perfect pillows. The shower had great pressure and White Company toiletries are provided. Enjoyed a delicious Mojito in the bar made with fresh lime and mint. Breakfast was great. As always, the staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We felt really looked after. Special mention to John on valet parking- excellent service. We'll be back again.
Went yesterday with my family about 7pm, sat outside for 10mins waiting for somebody to come and take our order. We made eye contact with a member of staff but no joy. Went inside and asked a member of staff if we can place an order, they acknowledged us and said they would be straight out to take our order. 10 mins later, nobody came to see us, we left and had a nice meal down the road. I've been to the Vincent many times, it's normally a great experience. Maybe something has changed...
The location Bed & pillows very comfortable Lovely soaker bath Great breakfast and restaurant Toilets in communal area very clean
We couldn’t close the window shade all the way to the wall so the daylight woke us up about 5am When I mentioned it at reception the response was that next time we stay there we could ask for a room with curtains and that I wasn’t the 1st guest to mention this. Really expected them to say they would look into getting that rectified.
Champagne afternoon tea at £72 was an absolute rip off…. Basic, small portions, underwhelming….steer clear
We have always really liked this property, but on this occasion they messed up booking up
We booked a suite stand a room and we had let the suite go to somebody else and we have to take a standard room and the refund refund which was not ideal
Staff were friendly, room was nice.
No hot water on the day we were leaving. Phone in the room was filthy. Room very dark. No decent mirror with a light for make up.
Ate in the restaurant; was served the smallest portion of chocolate Torte I have ever seen for circa £8.00. Would not have passed child portion size!
The warm welcome from your staff as soon as we walked in,very friendly staff, lovely room with really comfortable bed, slept like a baby.Very attentive staff .Great breakfast, plenty of choice. Very accommodating, when we checked out,the hotel held on to our luggage until we were ready to depart.
Outside the hotel was a Bill board advertising assorted spa treatments but it was covered in bird poop,it was a bit unsightly, inside, you couldn't fault it for it cleanliness and beautifully decor, although the bathroom was beautiful done, think some people with mobility issues would have trouble stepping in and out of the bath,I don't know weather all the bathrooms are like this and maybe add a slip matt as the surface when wet was quite slippy.
Impromptu lunch with a friend. Service was quick, menu good and interesting. Food was delicious. Fries came over salted and Macie was quick to apologise and get them replaced. Macie was attentive as were all the team. Surroundings clean and tidy.
Stayed 3 nights had lovley room over looking Lord st had nice welcome valet parking was nice and very conveinentthe resturant is very good staff attentive but not intrusive clean and comfortable room
System error on price. Hotel cancelled my booking with no apology. Said needed to take up with booking.com. No refund and spoilt surprise birthday stay.
Staff are friendly and the room sizes are very large.
parking around the hotel you have to pay for.
Absolutely everything my mum had just lost my dad he should of been with her at the hotel but died a couple of weeks ago we was not going to go but decided to we are so glad she has loved your hotel the food the room the staff honestly it’s amazing you should be proud.
If i had to say anything i would ask for more teabags in the room and milk old people love a cuppa. Thats all.
Modern
Noisy not sound prove
The staff are phenomenal.
The room I had this time couldn’t get cold water from the tap. All the other rooms I stayed in before did. It wasn’t a big issue just weird with brushing my teeth
We were staying in another hotel and our room was 80-90°. We called and asked if they had A/C because we haven’t been able to sleep the last few nights. Carl at the front desk got us a room with a beautiful view. He also made sure that the A/C was on before we got here so the room was cooled down for us. He was very accommodating. We definitely will be staying here the next time we are in town. Thank you Carl!!

The staff were exceptional - so friendly & helpful. The valet parking was great. Room comfortable with much needed aircon. Breakfast was very good &:we also had evening meal which was equally good and very reasonably priced compared to other 4* hotels we have stayed in.
Bath/shower was difficult to get in/out of. Would have preferred a walk-in shower/cubicle
We loved this hotel. Great spot right in the centre of Southport. Room was good with aircon. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and reasonably price - good menu choices. Breakfast was included and was also very good. We would definitely stay again.
The window cover failed to cut out the light whilst only a small gap was unable to be covered significant light remained The design is poor
Very pleasant staff. Comfortable stay. Big bed and very clean , well.maintained hotel . Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Southport. Lovely restaurant., nice atmosphere. Friendly bar staff Tasty breakfast
Lack of easy parking and quite expensive using thd parking service offered but did as convenient .
We had a walk in shower and air conditioning which was a bonus given the 30+ heat being experienced at the time of our visit. The lift was so smooth and quick and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
We were not very impressed by the restaurant; we found the menu limited. There were, however, numerous eateries in the immediate area.
Great location, room very clean and comfortable. Lovely staff in the restaurant
One of the receptionists was not friendly and didn't seem interested. No customer service, no eye contact . Wine very expensive
Great staff, good location lovely room.
Nothing to dislike
Return visitor. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Really pleasant and helpful staff
Amazing! Mind blowing room!
From start to finish i could not fault anything. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. Will be coming to stay again.
Location
Bathrooms very dark; lighting poor.
Breakfast was very good quality ingredients
The lighting in the room was very dark especially when getting ready.
Room was lovely and it was suitable for my needs , breskfsst was really nice and the staff were lovely couldn’t fault . Receptionist at desk was very helpful and polite x
The service in the restaurant was very slow but it was busy , the young girls were polite and kept on checking we was okay , had to wait a while for a cocktail which was ordered and asked a few times
Location. Bed super comfortable
Somehow got 'done' by dynamic pricing war. Booked through Booking.com for a Wednesday and Thursday night, so not the busiest time. A week or so later booked same room again for a friend and price was Half of ours! Very cheesed off. Complained at reception but said thats how it is? So we paid £340 , for 2 nights and I will add the view we had.
The hotel is lovely
Location.
All good
Cosy and clean
It was immaculate and comfortable and the customer service was exceptional.

Booked a birthday treat. In the balcony room The. Balcony was realy dirty full of bird poo part of the roof was missing Tap fell off in my hand and the sink was cracked dirt on one of the pillows We ate in the resturant. Our side hadnt been added to the order when we asked where it was. . The wrong dessert came out for myself . The tables next to us. Had issues as well with their orders. I feel the service charge added to our bill was an insult as the service was. Realy poor We ate breakfast ordered. 2 portions of poached eggs . And went to get out cooked breakfast poached eggs didnt arrive. No one around to ask. One waitress came to a table near us i asked where the poached eggs where she went to have a look and said they were being cooked !! . Then came back and said they wouldnt be long. We had finished eating our cooked breakfast. . She brought two poached eggs out and asked if i would like any more toast to have with them. I would have prefered to have had with my cooked breakfast Complained on check out but. I feel. That. They wernt bothered. We paid a lot of money to stay at this hotel but it was so disappointing.
Recommend for everything it's a brilliant hotel with great staff and good facilities in an excellent location
Nothing to not like

The hotel is in a central location on busy Lord street but was quiet. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with excellent choice for all diets
The hotel is in a very central location on Lord street. It was very quiet and spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and with lots of choice for different diets.

Beautiful room , good location
I liked everything
I just want to say, my friend and i visited the Vincent hotel just for a coffee yesterday, we sat outside. A lovely well dressed gentleman approached us as he could see we were a little cold. There are blankets available should you need one. But this gentleman named John promptly put the heaters on that were on the wall over our heads. Thankyou kind Sir!

Location, modern hotel, value for money
The food was excellent, SPK massage and treatments was fantastic, staff was very helpful
Nothing everything was brilliant
Good central location. Average room with small single beds Poor wifi connection in the room as it kept dropping off which also impacted the tv. Water bottles in the room did not get replenished when used. Bizarre policy of charging additional £5 for asking for a plain egg omlette vs fried egg at no charge. Staff very friendly and good.
Very comfortable huge bed Good location, 5 minute walk from Southport station, shops, pier head etc Very quiet Fabulous balcony Amazing staff and service Fridge/ complimentary water Lift Really efficient air con Good breakfast TV/ Internet access good
Not 4 star! Lacked the finesse of other 4 star hotels that I have stayed in Room was in need of refurbishment, ( dusty, missing plaster to ceiling in wardrobe area, scuff marks to walls, fingermarks) Balcony was full of cobwebs, part of the balcony canopy was collapsed and in need of attention, toilet seat was loose and hazardous, I could not use the shower as I have some, (minor mobility problems/ musculoskeletal issues). A bench step up to the bath, then a seated area, then huge step down into the shower. If I had managed to get in, could definitely not get out safely! Apparently there are some rooms with walk in showers, however, no balconies. Arrived late afternoon, bar not open until 5 pm. Only the restaurant open where we could get a glass of wine or a beer, however, we were eating out at 6 pm, so did not want restaurant food. Breakfast was confusing? We were informed that hot food was a breakfast buffet, however, after getting hot food, eggs cooked to order if you did not want scrambled, there was a printed menu on the table with lots of other options? Not sure why we were not informed about this by the breakfast staff initially? No hash browns! Lighting throughout very dim Could not see well enough to read a book? Overall, very poor for a 4 star hotel, ( we have stayed in many), and would not stay here again, as did not meet our needs.
It was in a great location From walking in you felt special the way you was greeted by the reception staff You could park at the hotel and the staff parked your car for you. The room was so stylish, the bed was big and super comfy. Every thing you need
Nothing
Fabulous location in the heart of Southport. Excellent breakfast. Really lovely genuine staff throughout
Mattress was way too soft. Shower up a step was precarious!
Have stayed a few times always fantastic
Like everything no dislikes cheers will be back next time we stay in Southport
Very nice design, good breakfast, great bar area, perfect location
The lack of plug sockets in room were an issue, none next to bed. I strongly suggest these get installed.
Curtain hanging off the rail … had to use my hair clip to close them And one member of staff rude in the restaurant
Probably more of a 3.5 as it would be unfair to describe the hotel as "average", but a handful of minor issues left a bit of a sour taste. We arrived at what is a very beautiful hotel and were welcomed by pleasant staff and an efficient valet service. We were moved to a different room, which was said to be an upgrade, and it did have lovely views. However, there was a relentless flashing light in the bathroom which I raised after checking in. It wasn't a major issue and probably just needed a new bulb, but it was still flashing when we left and became increasingly irritating over the course of our stay. We went for dinner in the restaurant, which was very nice. The food was outstanding and compliments to the chef, as the dishes we had were faultless. I was a little surprised by the bill (£140 for two mains, two sides, a bottle of prosecco and a couple of cocktails), particularly as I only glanced at it while signing and it wasn't properly presented to me. That said, the quality of the food itself could not be faulted. The biggest issue came when we went to bed. I am writing this having had less than three hours' sleep. Southport is not a vibrant city (despite the claim I noticed in a previous response to a guest who raised this issue), and I have stayed in major cities all over the world. This was easily the noisiest, rowdiest night I have ever encountered. There were sirens, booming music, screaming and shouting throughout the night. I even called reception at nearly 3am and was told the clubs closed around 3am, possibly as late as 5.30am. None of this is the hotel's fault, but it genuinely felt as though we were staying in a nightclub. Between the flashing bathroom light and the constant thud of bass, sleep was almost impossible. The clubs did indeed close around 3am, but that was followed by nearly two hours of shouting, arguments and drunken revellers gathering at the taxi rank across the road. The windows did very little to block out the noise. Given the location, some noise is to be expected, but the level of disturbance was far beyond anything I have experienced in much larger cities including London, Manchester and Paris. Reception kindly offered to move us to another room, but at 3am it seemed impractical given the disruption and the fact dawn was not far away. Morning came and breakfast was excellent. The food was very tasty and the team were kind and helpful. The receptionist and valet were also friendly when we left, but what surprised me was that nobody asked how our stay had been. That always stands out to me. A final goodbye without even a passing interest in whether a guest was satisfied, disappointed or somewhere in between feels like a missed opportunity. It's a shame, because there are plenty of positives here and most of the issues I encountered are relatively easy fixes. However, for anyone considering this hotel on a Saturday night, I would strongly recommend bringing earplugs. One final point: I've noticed responses from the GM suggesting some negative reviews may not be genuine. I have no axe to grind, travelled from Wales specifically to visit, and have tried to provide a fair and balanced account of my experience.
Modern, clean, central
The windows in the room weren’t very good. We could hear every noise in the street outside
We had my partners 50th birthday party at The Vincent Hotel in Southport. In the lead up to the party we liased with Jolene and Craig. They were professional, warm and helped us create a bespoke birthday party for my partners 50th. The service before, during and after the party was outstanding and a real positive experience was created all around. We were able to decorate the room the day before which was our choice and we were helped by the team then to move furniture and help set up for the party. On the night of the party we were looked after by the room manager Masie who deserves an award for all her care, professionalism and support for me as the toast master of the party. She is a superstar and even helped me when my makeup had gone a bit awry after a few proseccos!!. All the staff were very collaborative, friendly and fabulous and held a professional manner. It felt like a team and we all created the party for 65 guests all together. The food was beautiful and also catered for a few of us who were vegans. We had a welcome reception, speeches, amazing food, flowing drinks, live music and disco into the wee hours. It was such a joyful evening of collaboration and fun. We hired a band called "The Vincent Brothers", John and Paul who were amazing and I highly recommend them also..... After the party in the after care, the staff helped us to store items we had left like presents, candles , etc and helped us the next day. I cannot recommend The Vincent enough and we have lots of lovely memories for ourselves, friends and family. Thank you , blessings Kerrie Sent from Outlook for Android
Location and facilities
Room was emaculate, and everything we needed, staff very friendly and approachable, excellent location, will definitely stay again 🤗
Nothing
The Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure that the room we had met our expectations. We ate in the hotel restaurant on two nights and the food was well cooked and delicious.
The room we had whilst meeting our needs didn't have a very good view.
Everything
Very comfortable and large bed, fridge very nice to have especially as it was very hot. Staff were very easy to speak to and helped with queries.
Nothing everything went well
Hotel parking option is not available after 9pm. The next nearest option was was pay and display close to the hotel or the train station which is 24 hours is about a 6 or 7 minute walk away. Thankfully it was not raining or I'd have been even more disappointed
Great hotel with really nice staff who greeted me on arrival
Beautiful plenty of choice
Coffee
Location was brilliant and the staff were superb. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Food looked good but didn't eat there due to having a reservation in another restaurant.
Nothing.
Fantastic rooms and staff.
Lighting too dim in bedrooms to apply make up
Lovely hotel and facilities.

The location of the hotel is great and the entrance and staff were nice
The penthouse is very dated. The sofa is all cracked, the hot tub lid is broken and falling apart, the shower was either boiling hot or freezing and the steam room is only on upon request which causes it to smell damp.
Staff were friendly and room was clean and had coffee and tea facilities
Booked a corner suite with room overlooking Lord Street but didn't get that. Got a normal room with no view except old buildings at side of hotel so disappointed with that
I spent 3 nights at The Vincent hotel last week (18-21 May) and can't recommend it enough. The price for bed & breakfast was very reasonable - you'd pay at least twice the price for something similar in London (where I live). My room was on the 5th floor, nice views out to 'sea'. I found the hotel spotless, I liked the decor, my bed was super comfy and the staff were very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was good, but the two evening meals I had were fantastic. The Char-grilled chicken and rigatoni with parmesan, butter and cracked black pepper was delicious, and the smashed burger w. fries was also very tasty. The only minor thing for me, was being woken early to the sound of a few dozen jackdaws chattering away in the trees outside the front of the hotel, but it's not like The Vincent can do anything about it! I'll be back, with the family next time.
Enjoyed a lovely afternoon meal with our son who was visiting from London, food from the Market table menu was amazing and staff where very helpful and attentive. We will be back to try the Sunday roast...it looked so good 😋.
The staff was very nice and the room very nice and the food was delicious
