Hotel Palazzo Guardati

Teresa was a lovely host, made us feel very welcome. Luca was efficient and helped us with the check in. The rooms were very unusual and unforgettable, a very interesting old building.

Some of the fixtures needed a bit of care and attention and these weren't the 18th century parts.

The room was small but very functional and everything worked which should not be underestimated. Loved the little balcony, and the new kettle and the shower. And the staff were all lovely - the little things like the lady at breakfast remembering my coffee order every day and the lady on reception who was lovely. The location was brilliant too. I thought at first the bed was a but firm but I actually slept so well.

No coffee in my room but I had brought my own matcha powder with me so I was fine but some people might not like this. There was live music most nights which didn’t bother me at all but for some that might be a challenge. The air conditioning was noisy so again I found that it was white noise and it helped me sleep but others may not like that.

The staff were professional, friendly and the whole building was immaculately clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated with antique pictures and furniture. The hotel’s location is just off the main square and handy for everything in Sorrento town. The breakfast system for booking a slot worked really well as it was never crowded and it felt relaxed. There was always a delicious selection of fresh fruit, juices, meat and pastries, gluten free options and your choice of hot drinks brought to you by staff. The reception staff booked an airport taxi for us and nothing was any trouble. Special mention to Pepe, the bartender who was an absolute gentleman. We felt really at home in this hotel.

We had a great room with sea views. The location is perfect, right in the main part of Sorrento but tucked away down a quiet lane. Great wi-fi and we loved the roof top bar and pool with amazing views. Definitely recommend to anyone going to Amalfi Coast.

Great location, Pepe the barman at the pool bar was a lovely man. Full of information to help you enjoy your stay and tell you where to go in the area.

The staff were really funny about providing glasses for the room - we were left to drink out of paper cups which feels ridiculous for a 4 star hotel.

Brak restauracji w 4 gwiazdkowym hotelu to dla mnie nowość, ale tuż obok wiele restauracji więc nie był to problem. Panie w recepcji a szczególnie starsza Pani na tarasie zabroniła nam spożywania pizzy , co było nieprzyjemne będąc z dziećmi bez restauracji w hotelu.

Guardati hotel was very centrally located in a side road, so it was quiet at night, but a few steps away from the main street. The breakfast was nice. Not fantastic, but ok. not much choice but the products were fresh. Pastries were good. Staff were very obliging and service was great. The room was great. a long 7sqm balcony overlooked part sea, city, and mountain. very nice to sit there. Room was comfortable. had a kettle, but no coffee making facilities. Had a minibar which suited our needs. Aircon worked very well. It was very hot- 33degrees. Bathroom had a medium sized walkin shower which we both liked. good shower head. soaps, toiletries, Rooftop terrace was lovely. with a small pool, when you were hot from the day's venturing. Pepe the terrace bar person was very helpful, knew Sorrento really well, and recommended a few great restaurants which we went to and had good meals. He was very nice man, very friendly and warm, helpful. We were very satisfied with our stay there and would recommend using the hotel as a base to visit the other parts of Amalfi coast, by train, bus and ferry for day trips.

Breakfast could have served better selection of fruits. Selection of breads. Scrambled eggs did not look appetising. Coffee was not so great.

Only bad thing I can say is about the parking, horrible. The whole area is the same if not worse. The hotel is centrally located smack dab in the middle of everything. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooftop pool area is very relaxing just like the 1st floor living room.

Disappointed... Very tired and uncomfortable room and bathroom. No water pressure. Poor breakfast. Roof pool very small and dirty. Service is nonexistent — in a so-called 4-star hotel, reception is hidden away so staff can completely ignore guests. To top it all off, charging €2 for a tiny bottle of water in a pitiful "minibar" is just greedy. It is a total waste of money and absolutely not worth €220 per night. Edit after property response: The management's defensive response perfectly illustrates how they treat guests and handle valid criticism. Defensiveness won't fix poor service or deteriorating facilities.

Una lástima q con el calor que había te ponen un cartel en la heladerita de la habitación (q solo tenía dos aguas y dos sodas) q no podías poner cosas tuyas como coca etc q no eran del hotel. Ya no existe un 4 estrellas sin ese servicio.

Central Location only

Car can not go to the front of the hotel, the driver needs to drop you off at the center of town then you have to take your luggage yourselves to the hotel. No bellhop to help with luggage. The shower barely would drip any water, showers took forever. The hotel was very noisy. Mold in the shower. Very old hotel and old furniture.

Fantastic central location with traditional decor and all the modern needs covered. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and would absolutely return. Great food and bar services too, even on the rooftop where the pool was a great addition for the hot afternoons

Location was perfect and the rooftop pool and the view from there amazing. Very lovely bar attendant at the rooftop area. I loved that the checkout was 12 pm. Breakfast was very nice and had a variety of food available. Didn’t understand previous comments that the selection was limited.

Boa localização, quarto amplo, senti falta de algumas comodidades. A decoração é antiquada, está precisando de uma renovação. Café da manhã razoável, as atendentes poderiam ser mais simpáticas.

The location of the hotel is perfect, only a 2-minute walk to Piazza Tasso. There are many restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby, so everything is within walking distance. The breakfast had limited options, but it was good The room size was decent, clean, and comfortable. We had no complaints and enjoyed our stay.

We found this literally as the train was pulling into Sorrento. I am glad that we did. Slightly old world but excellent. Great location. Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast. Roof top terrace with a bar, small pool and panoramic views.

The location of the hotel was perfect for town and beach/harbour. All close by were many shops,bars and restaurants

I wanted a hotel in the centre of everything and this delivered. You are surrounded by restaurants, shops, and the beach is a short walk away. However, the hotel wasn't loud and I didn't feel as though I was in the middle of a busy tourist area. The entrance of the hotel is also tucked down a little street. I also arrived by bus with a big suitcase and it was close enough to the bus stop to walk. Your stay comes with breakfast, and the selection was very decent, with fresh bread, pastries, yoghurt, juice, fruit and more. The hotel also has a rooftop with lounge chairs. The pool is very small but that didn't bother me as I mainly used the rooftop to lounge and read my book. The room was simple but spacious and perfect for what I needed while I was staying in Sorrento.

The staff were wonderful, especially Pepe on the roof bar who makes the best cocktails and gives wonderful tips. The view from the roof is out of this world. The rooms are beautiful. The location is perfect. Wish I could stay so much longer.

Our stay in Sorrento was nothing short of amazing. The hotel’s central location made it the perfect base to explore the town, yet it still felt peaceful and relaxing. The service throughout our stay was outstanding, with the staff always welcoming, attentive, and happy to help. One of the standout features has to be the beautiful outdoor space with its dip pool — something truly to be admired considering how central the hotel is. A perfect mix of comfort, luxury, and location. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento 🇮🇹☀️

The location is fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We loved the abundance of space outside of our room: the rooftop terrace and plunge pool, the outdoor terrace on the first floor, the large salon with couches and chairs. The limoncello spritz at the rooftop bar was great, but be sure to try all of their other spritz flavours! Highly recommend the violet.

After travelling all over Europe for 5 weeks this was the only hotel with no tea or coffee facilities in our room. We had to pay 8 euros for a cuppa Bed was rock hard and staff not particularly friendly or helpful Other than great location would not recommend.

-am rezervat camera dubla superioara și camera care am primit o nu era că în pozele de pe Booking.Mult mai mică .Am fost dezamăgită fiindcă prețul a fost destul de mare cca 200 Euro/noapte .Deci pozele nu sunt conforme cu realitatea .De asemenea am fost obligați să plătim taxa de stațiune 24 de eur /3 zile pe camera ..ideea este că nu am fost informați de la început ,când ne am cazat ,ci la sfârșit .Personalul de la recepție nu a oferit toate informațiile necesare ,despre hotel .În concluzie nu vom mai reveni la acest hotel și nici nu-l recomand la nimeni .Micul dejun acceptabil .

My first time in Sorrento and I will be back. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the center beside numerous restaurants and shops, you could not get any closer. The staff are all lovely and very helpful when booking taxi's, trips etc. The breakfast is lovely and substantial. The rooms are so clean and cleaned every day. The one person who stood out is Pepe, the bartender on the rooftop bar, he helped me when tying banners for our Friend's 60th birthday and bought the champagne and canapes right on time, an asset to the hotel. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone travelling to Sorrento.

When you eventually establish the actual location of the hotel, it is in a great spot just down from the main square. Room was clean and comfortable and well serviced daily. My wife is gluten free and she was presented with a good selection of cereals, rolls and breads at breakfast.

No coffee/tea making facilities in room, not great when you just want to relax in the room. When I questioned this at reception the best offer was a kettle, but no cups or coffee or tea! Also, the TV reception is terrible for non-Italian channels so if you want to keep up with the news whilst relaxing in the room (with no coffee or tea), I suggest you brush up on your Italian language skills!

The location was perfect. The breakfast was substantial and tasty.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a great central location . Lovely room and great bathroom facilities well maintained by staff.

Very limited breakfast room but run very efficiently by the lady in charge. When she was off however, not so good. Told they had run out of things at an early stage. It wasn't busy enough for that ro be the case. Some staff a bit indifferent but everything else really nice.

We loved this Hotel so close to the Main Piazza Tasso. In the heart of Sorrento. The Staff are outstanding from first greeting to the Awesome Roof Top Bar and Pool Area. As stated by other guests Pepe is simply Fantastico. Would recommend for Sure and would stay hear again Grazie

This is not the Hotel problem. Although an awesome location you can not drive up to the Hotel front door. When at the main square you have to walk down an alley to get into the hotel. When following Waze it will take you down a super busy road crazy traffic. So stay in the Tasso square near the flags. To drop off luggage. And the hotel has valet parking Just ask the Hotel.
