Beautiful beach, lagoon in front of reef with lots of water sports options. Pool also warm enough and a beautiful pool. Gym was exceptional.

Rooms do not have a lot of insulation so could hear people in the next room quite clearly. Only did breakfast included option, breakfast was average, often short on fruit and coffee nor very good, Coffee in rooms was better.

Hotelul este superb. Locatia top, plaja foarte frumoasa, fara valuri, protaja de recif. Vegetatia este superba, vibe exotic datorita sutelor de palmieri, albastrul apei frumos, ceea ce iti da un vibe super la plaja. Piscina este de asemenea incredibil de frumoasa. Micul dejun este variat, foarte bun, pentru pranz poti opta sa mananci la restaurantele lor, iar la cina mananci la restaurante sau la bufet. Noi am optat pentru all inclusive, bauturile de asemenea sunt foarte bune. Internetul este excelent, viteza sare de 250 mbps, acoperire excelenta si pe plaja. Personalul excelent oriunde, profesionist! Va recomand!

Sehr schönes Hotel, welches in die Jahre gekommen ist. Trotzdem ist alles in gutem Zustand. Wassersport Angebote wie Surfen etc. sind inklusive.

Es gibt immer Kleinigkeiten, die aber unseren tollen Aufenthalt nicht beeinträchtigen haben.

We loved La Pirogue. The beach is amazing. The rooms are also great. Staff were very friendly. Some great activities included, like snorkeling nearby. And the concerts every evening were really good - we particularly loved the Pacific Live Band.

There was a limited choice of restaurants included and even in the ones that were included in half-board, quite a few things were extras.

Eine wunderschöne, große Anlage. Die Anlage gleicht einem sehr gut gepflegten Park. Schöner Strand. Überall Palmen, Pflanzen und Vögel. Ein echtes Paradies. Wir haben ein gratis Upgrade bekommen auf ein Bungalow am Strand. Das war fantastisch. Ein eigener Bungalow. Terrasse mit Strand Blick. Schöne Zimmer mit Dusche und Badewanne. Wir hatten Halbpension. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren beide super lecker. Abends hat das Thema täglich gewechselt. Von Asiatisch zu Französisch oder Libanesisch. Es war immer super lecker und die Auswahl riesig. Das Personal war freundlich und die Rezeption extrem hilfsbereit. Ein insgesamt sehr gelungenes Erlebnis.

Das Buffet war zu Stoßzeiten schon extrem überfüllt. Das war nervig und stressig. Zudem sind Kinder die ganze Zeit durch das Restaurant gerannt, haben gespielt und geschrien. Am ersten Abend mussten wir sogar einen Tisch suchen weil alles so voll war. Am nächsten Tag haben wir uns dann entschieden die Stoßzeiten zu umgehen. Wir waren gegen 8 Uhr morgens frühstücken und erst gegen 20:45 Uhr Abendessen. Dann war es auch super. Es war leer und es gab genügend freie Tische. Zudem waren dann auch fast keine Kinder mehr am Buffet und somit deutlich entspannter. Zudem sollte man sich bewusst sein, dass der Strand öffentlich ist und das Hotel und einen Abschnitt davon besitzt. Das bedeutet zum einen, dass man dauernd Durchgangsverkehr hat, sprich Gäste anderer Hotels oder Einheimische, aber auch Verkäufer am Strand rumlaufen. Die Verkäufer sind nicht überpräsent und auch nicht penetrant, aber vorhanden. Wir empfanden das als etwas störend. Ein echtes Privatstrand Gefühl war es also nicht. Ist wohl bei einem so bekannten Strand wie dem in Flic En Flac auch schwierig.

Tolle Lage, sehr schöne Anlage. Immer genügend Liegen am Strand. Strandabschnitt sehr sauber. Die Zimmer in kleinen Bungalows, hat uns sehr gefallen. Frühstück sehr viel Auswahl.

Abendessen im Wolmar um 3000 Rupien zu teuer. Das Servicepersonal an der Bar nicht wirklich motiviert. Es gibt anscheinend das gleiche Problem wie in Europa gut ausgebildetes Personal zu finden.

Die Lage an diesem Traumstrand von Flic en Flac könnte nicht besser sein! Auch der Palmenhain lädt sehr zum Verweilen ein. Die Kooperation mit dem Schwesternhotel Sugar Beach ist ebenso vorteilhaft, da man dort die Restaurants, das Fitnesscenter sowie die SPA-Area mitbenützen darf. Essensauswahl mehr als ausreichend, viele vegetarische Optionen verfügbar.

Wir hatten leider 2x Kakerlaken in unserem Bungalow entdeckt, leider wurde keine Möglichkeit geboten, den Bungalow zu wechseln. Das Personal wirkte manchmal überfordert. Die Reservierung für ein Abendessen im Sugar Beach war äußerst kompliziert. Es entstand dadurch der Eindruck, dass es nicht gewünscht sei, dass La Pirogue-Gäste auch das Angebot des Abendessens im Nachbarhotel annehmen.

This hotel is unique! The entire area is a piece of art with the unusual rounded cottages and liberal use of space. It was built 50 years ago and it seems very unlikely that anything like this would be built now when efficient land use is more important. The food is consistently good across the restaurants. The beach is long and beautiful, and fully protected by the (dying) coral reef. Various activities are available and the staff was very helpful. There is a new shopping center nearby and this is a great base for day trips to the south (Chamarel etc).

The rooms/cottages show their age. While charming, the bed in particular was 190cm long and didn't agree with by back at all. In my opinion the interiors desperately need a facelift (while outdoor spaces are fantastic). The beach is basically a graveyard of coral to the extent that one needs to watch every step or have neoprene footwear for protection.

Absolut top sind die freundlichen, zuvorkommenden Mitarbeitenden in wirklich allen Bereichen. Es wird alles unternommen, dass man sich als Gast wohl fühlt. Die Lage am Meer mit dem wunderbaren Palmengarten ist nicht zu übertreffen. Das Essen ist reichhaltig und sehr fein. Der Verleih von Paddle Boards etc. ist ebenfalls super und besonders hervorzuheben ist das einmalige, wunderschöne Beach Pavillon: sauber, geräumig, modern eingerichtet.

Instalaciones antiguas Bungalows viejos, necesitan una actualización urgente. Con hormigas, olor a cloaca. Mucha gente en el buffet. Estuve esperando salchichas por más de media hora. La atención del personal deja mucho que desear. Teníamos muchas hormigas en la cama y almohadas, les costó cambiarnos de habitación. Dijeron que nos iban a mandar a alguien a limpiar que solo vino con insecticida. Hasta que la gerente no vino personalmente a comprobarlo, no nos cambiaron (a las 23h de la noche)

Stunning beach with breathtaking sunsets, probably the most beautiful you can find in Mauritius. Great local food, very attentive stuff doing their best to meet your expectations. Absolutely stunning garden full of coconut palms, taken care of to the perfection by the stuff. Although the hotel is not small, it’s still quiet and peaceful.

The rooms feel a bit outdated, if accommodation is your priority, you may want to stay in the sister hotel Sugar Beach.

La bienveillance des gens. J ai été malade pendant le séjour et tout le personnel a été aux petits soins même dans des phases très délicates. Repas spécial, petit déjeuner en chambre. La literie est un cocon où l on a pas envie de s extraire. Le parc est une merveille, la plage,les activités nautiques comprises dans le séjour. Bonne restauration.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, and the beach area is absolutely beautiful and ideal for relaxing.

For a honeymoon, there may be other hotels in Mauritius that are better suited, as this resort was quite lively during our stay. In our opinion, it is more geared towards families than couples looking for a quiet and romantic getaway.

Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt mit vielen Palmen - es sieht wirklich paradiesisch aus. Unser Bungalow war in der zweiten Reihe, also ohne direkten Strandblick, was für unser ab vollkommen ausreichend war. Die Klimaanlage und die Lüftung funktionieren sehr gut. Der Bungalow ist schön eingerichtet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gibt Minibar und Kaffeemaschine. Da wir All-Inclusive gebucht haben war alles dabei und die Minibar wurde auch jeden Tag aufgefüllt. Allgemein lohnt sich AI unserer Meinung sehr, wenn man nicht viel Ausflüge plant und einen Großteil im Resort verbringt, da die Preise für Getränk und Mahlzeiten eher oben angesiedelt sind. Es gibt auch bei AI für besondere Speisen/Getränke noch Extrakosten, aber wir haben immer etwas auf der regulären Karte gefunden und waren sehr zufrieden - das Essen ist lecker und es gibt auch viele gesunde, frische Optionen wie Salate. Frühstück und reguläres Abendessen sind in Buffetform - es wird sich dort aber auch Mühe gegeben, alles ansprechend anzurichten und allgemein war die Qualität des Essens sehr gut. Die á-la-Carte Restaurant haben wir getestet und würde jedem empfehlen diese zu besuchen. Mein Partner hat viel Fisch und Seafood gegessen und war immer sehr zufrieden. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit das Restaurant im Nachbarhotel zu buchen, was wir ebenfalls einmal getan haben. Auch das Gym und das Spa befinden sich dort. Viele Aktivitäten sind im Preis inkludiert und müssen lediglich am Vortag reserviert werden. Am Strand gibt es ausreichend Liegen (bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen hat niemand reserviert - man hat immer einen Platz bekommen) und Schattenplätze durch Schirme und Palmen. Allgemein ist zu erwähnen, dass das Personal sehr höflich, freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. Das Team ist uns sehr positiv aufgefallen!

Beim Abendessen (Buffet und in den Restaurants) musste man teilweise etwas länger auf die bestellten Getränke warten. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass die Abläufe hier manchmal etwas unkoordiniert sind.

The buffet food is same most of the time, if they could vary it to seafoods more as it’s an island would be good. But overall it fantastic. I would like surfing but they stop doing it. But do have other nautical activities.

Nous avons séjourné en famille à La Pirogue dans une chambre idéalement située, les pieds dans l’eau. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec chaleur par une équipe souriante, attentionnée et toujours disponible. Le petit-déjeuner ainsi que les buffets proposés sont exceptionnels, avec un large choix de produits de qualité. La plage est magnifique, bordée d’une eau cristalline qui invite à la détente. L’emplacement est également un véritable atout : parfait pour les excursions en bateau vers le sud et l’ouest de l’île, tout en restant à environ une heure de route de Port-Louis. Le seul petit point à noter concerne l’architecture et la décoration des chambres, qui mériteraient un léger rafraîchissement. Toutefois, cela reste un détail au regard de la qualité du séjour et de l’excellente expérience que nous avons vécue. Nous repartons avec de très beaux souvenirs et recommandons cet établissement sans hésitation.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mon séjour à La Pirogue a été tout simplement exceptionnel. Dès les premiers instants, j'ai été séduite par le charme unique de cet établissement, qui offre une atmosphère authentique et élégante au cœur d'un environnement tropical remarquable. Les jardins sont absolument somptueux, parfaitement entretenus et magnifiquement intégrés au paysage. Se promener au milieu des cocotiers et de la végétation luxuriante procure un véritable sentiment d'évasion. L'hôtel bénéficie d'un cadre naturel d'une rare beauté, propice à la détente et au dépaysement. J'ai particulièrement apprécié mon bungalow, à la fois charmant, confortable et parfaitement intégré à l'esprit du lieu. Son architecture typiquement mauricienne contribue au caractère chaleureux et authentique de l'expérience. La piscine est l'un des grands atouts de l'établissement. Face à l'océan, elle offre chaque soir un spectacle inoubliable : les couchers de soleil y sont tout simplement à couper le souffle. Ces moments, empreints de calme et de beauté, resteront parmi mes plus beaux souvenirs de l'île Maurice. L'ensemble du personnel mérite également d'être félicité pour son professionnalisme, sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse constante. On se sent accueillie avec sincérité et accompagnée avec beaucoup d'attention tout au long du séjour. Akşam yemekleri zamanı restoranın oturma alanı biraz yetersiz kalıyor. Daha çok iki kişilik masa olması daha iyi olurdu.

Nothing. Just as a remark, I found a bit surprising that bottled water is charged during meals for half-board guests, especially as the hotel provides free drinking water in the resort. This is only a small comment and it did not impact my stay at all.

The place was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The beach was lovely, and we really enjoyed the sunsets. Before coming, I was a bit worried about the food, but there are options for everyone, so we had no trouble at all. We personally didn’t get the chance to join, but there were activities available as well. I would definitely recommend it.

The only thing we didn’t really enjoy was the cocktail we had at the beach bar — it felt more like fruit juice since there wasn’t much alcohol in it. But honestly, that wouldn’t affect my overall rating of the place.

However, we most appreciated the kind attention and communication by staff, so friendly and professional, always available and helpful. Very warm welcome and hospitality during all our stay. Beim Abendessen waren die besten Plätze schon reserviert, angeblich für langjährige Gäste. Wenn dann wohl gleiches Recht für Alle!

Plage magnifique, propre et bien équipée en transats et parasols. Un grand parc absolument paradisiaque très bien entretenu. Des restaurants de qualités et intimes en plus du Wolmar (buffet) qui lui aussi bénéficie de jolis endroits intimes pour prendre les repas et le petit déjeuner. Les chambres sont confortables et très propres. Rien ne manque. Une attention particulière à tout le personnel qui s'active dans la plus grande discrétion et gentillesse pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la sérénité du lieu.

Peut être un matelas un peu dur. Mais c'est personnel.

La Pirogue doesn’t try too hard to impress — and that’s exactly why it does. It just gets the important things right: space, atmosphere, and those little details that make you feel at ease. We stayed for 5 nights and it never felt like a hotel, but rather like a little village we didn’t want to leave. The bungalow setup is probably La Pirogue’s secret weapon. Everyone has their own space, spread out across beautifully maintained grounds, so it never feels crowded or “resorty.” It has this relaxed, almost boho vibe (in the best possible way). The beach is huge, with plenty of high-quality sunbeds. And the sunsets… Just wow! Sitting there with a view of Le Morne Brabant in the distance feels almost unreal. The sea is also very swimmable — calm, clear, and not too deep. We also really appreciated the refillable water bottles provided in the room. The bungalow itself was very comfortable, with AC you can actually control (which, after staying in places with “decorative thermostats,” felt like a luxury). The entire hotel grounds are incredibly well maintained — you can see the effort everywhere you look.

If I had to point out something, the shower in the room was a bit worn out. It didn’t affect our stay in any meaningful way, but it’s probably one of the few areas that could use a refresh. Also, anything outside of the meal plan felt a bit on the expensive side for us. That said, it’s something you can easily manage depending on your preferences and how you plan your stay.

Am avut o experiență absolut impecabilă la acest hotel. Totul a fost la superlativ, de la început până la final. Personalul a fost extraordinar – atent, amabil și mereu cu zâmbetul pe buze, făcându-ne să ne simțim cu adevărat răsfățați. Pavilionul este superb, foarte bine întreținut și oferă o atmosferă relaxantă și elegantă. Plaja este exact cum îți dorești într-o vacanță perfectă: curată, liniștită și cu un peisaj care îți taie respirația. Mâncarea a fost delicioasă, variată și de o calitate excelentă – fiecare masă a fost o plăcere. Iar apusurile… pur și simplu incredibile. Genul acela de momente care îți rămân în suflet. Recomand din toată inima acest loc – pentru noi a fost o vacanță perfectă din toate punctele de vedere.
