Upon arrival no one at the reception even after several times ringing the bell. Several staff passed by. When finally someone was there, it still took ages as a phone call that didn’t sound like a guest was more important. Then when we said we were under pressure as per an appointment, there was a cynical remark. No apologies. Just weird.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Schöne alte Stadtvilla mit einem sehr sehenswerten und gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum. Tolle Lage mit kurzen Wegen zu Restaurants, Markt, Shopping, Meer. Im Zimmer äußerst leistungsfähige AC, was es bei heißen Temperaturen sehr angenehm macht. Sehr freundliches Personal, super Frühstück. Parken in umliegenden Parkhäuser mit etwas Fußweg kein Problem
Unser Zimmer im Erdgeschoss war recht klein und während unseres Aufenthaltes (06.2026) durch eine Baustelle im Nachbarhaus geräuschseitig tagsüber etwas gehandidcapt.

Chambre en demi sous sol, un peu humide du coup. Lit bébé proposé à 15 euros (rarement vu), pas d’eau proposée dans les chambres donc prévoir sa propre eau sinon c’est plus de 3 euros la petite bouteille de Cristalline en plastique

We had no idea that we were to be installed in a basement room. And even a room with no window, only a door to the (basement!) terasse. We do not think that was mentioned on the webpage. And we did not expect it considering the price we payed.

Le petit déjeuner est top, très bien fourni et de qualité. J ai beaucoup apprécié le petit apéro de bienvenue. Un accueil du personnel ( accueil et serveur du matin ) Irréprochable et personnes très souriantes. Un hôtel qui a dépassé mes attentes et qui mérite une quatrième étoile.
Pas grand à reprocher. Mais s il fallait trouver un petit point négatif , je dirai que le mitigeur de la douche aurait bien mérité une réparation car il était instable.

Every single member of staff we had interactions with were lovely and helpful . Room very nice and clean,bed comfortable and shower nice and powerful,also the air conditioning works very well and we really needed it as it was warm for our 4 days.
There was really nothing that we could say would cause us to take a point away from this hotel.

Wir waren mit Fahrrädern angereist. Leider wurde der Fahrradplatz über Nacht nicht verschlossen, was uns im Falle eines Diebstahls Probleme mit der Versicherung gebracht hätte. Unsere Abreise erfolgte morgen um 6:00 h. Wir hatten deswegen die Rezeption gefragt, ob sie schon so früh besetzt sei. Dies wurde ausdrücklich bejaht - aber leider war bei der Abreise niemand zugegen...

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Wir kamen früh morgens am Hotel an, wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und konnten gleich ein hervorragendes Frühstück geniessen. Das Hotel ist einfach zu erreichen, zentral gelegen und der Strand und die Sehenswürdigkeiten problemlos zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sauber und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.
Müsste man Abzüge machen, wäre das beim Lavabo. Dieses ist schön designt, hat aber eine zu kleine Beckentiefe (max. 0.5 - 2 cm), was es schwierig macht das Becken beim Zähneputzen nicht zum Überlaufen zu bringen.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Sehr schönes, kleines und extrem sauberes Hotel mit schönen Zimmern, sehr guten Betten und aussergewöhnlich freundlichem Personal. Das Frühstück mit unter anderem einem wunderbaren baskischen Cheescake lohnt sich wirklich! Der Surfstrand an der baskischen Küche und sehr gute Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Es war wirklich perfekt!

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Das Haus ist ein altehrwürdiges Gebäude mit viel Geschichte und Charme. Das gesamte Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Unser gebuchtes Doppelzimmer entsprach unseren Wünschen. Das Frühstück u.a. mit regionaler Wurst und Käse übertraf unsere Erwartungen und war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war überaus freundlich. Das Hotel liegt zentrumsnah und die Küste ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Es gab nichts zu bemängeln !

There was one lady that was quite unfriendly on reception. Otherwise all the other staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

déçu par le petit déjeuner en dépit d’un gâteau basque très bon et des crêpes ; plus adapté pour ceux qui mangent salés le matin. Jus de fruit pressé payant. Dommage pour les yaourts « nature » alors que dans la même marque ceux à la myrtille et framboise sont excellents et, pour les confitures basiques (fraise et abricot).

Incredibly clean and well put together room, plenty of space, very comfy bed, great bathroom, really nice wooden floors and period features mixed with the modern amenities. Great location and really friendly staff! The breakfast was sublime and good value for money. Can’t fault anything, I would definitely stay here again!

La chambre est annoncée a l' entresol ( soit entre le rez de chaussée et le 1er étage) elle est en fait en sous sol ! Ce qui n'a rien a voir... Pour y accéder il faut de descendre par un escalier depuis le hall de l'hôtel .cette chambre numéro 105 ( dite familiale en entre sol )donc au sous sol est 90% enterrée sans réelles fenêtres ,des petites ouvertures en haut des murs vers le plafond style meurtrières qui lorsqu'on les ouvrent permettent de voir les chaussures des passants dans la rue et les roues des voitures....donc impossible d'aérer ,clim non réglable... ,pas ce a quoi on pourrait s'attendre dans un 3 étoiles a 170 € par nuitée !! L'annonce d'une chambre a l'entresol est totalement mensongé et manifestement volontairement mensongé , Jamais je n'aurais réservé une chambre en sous sol ! C'est lamentable

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer im Souterrain. Dort fühlt man sich wie auf dem Abstellgleis, vor allem weil der Wäscheraum direkt nebenan war. Der Staubsauger stand im Flur. Das fühlte sich nicht gut an. Der Austritt war ebenfalls im Souterrain, mit wenig Licht. Ich würde diese Zimmer nicht noch einmal buchen.

Reviewed Apr 19, 2026Loved it. Brilliant staff - friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent - lots of it and we loved the local touches. Liked the ambience of the hotel - lovely terrace and comunal area. Our room was a good size for us. But the bathroom sink was not very practical (although still interesting and chique).

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026This is a lovely,charming, hotel in an ideal location very close to beaches & Biarritz centre,attractions, restaurants,shops etc nearby park aquarium etc. About 3km from Biarritz Airport. My room was at garden level with its own entrance..although it was also accessible through the main hotel entrance also.The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had nice shower gel and shampoo, and a hairdryer. There was a kettle provided and teas/coffees and also a mini bar stocked with drinks and snacks and Staff were pleasant upon check in and also upon departure, assisted with booking a taxi for departure. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Por poner un único pero, el lavabo tiene una forma moderna pero es muy poco funcional, se desborda y es incómodo de usar
