The hotel and rooms were grubby, the breakfast was awful - coffee terrible and small quantities of badly cooked, badly presented food coming out of the kitchen sporadically and kept running out. On top of that, the elderly residents were treated with disrespect. Really not a nice way to go to sleep or start the day.

The hotel was in a convenient location. The room was good and well cleaned. The facilities in the room were very good.

The restaurant was somewhat disorganised. Salt and pepper pots and other things left on the seats. Some tables were not cleared. Someone had even left a bag on the floor which is a safety hazard.

The bed was incredibly hard and so I had a very bad night sleep , had to use pillows to lay on. Breakfast was a bit bland.

I’m so sorry to write this bad review for hotel I used to like very much.

I been charged two consecutive times for two rooms even if I booked only one room for myself. I think booking system is faulty and when I tried to report this no one will listen. I will never go there again and don’t advise anyone to take the risk to be double charged with no reason. You should fix problem with your booking system

Not much, we like this place a lot. The tea and coffee machine is awful and there's such a big queue when it's busy. The hot water in the machine isn't quite hot enough and makes a weird froth. It would be better to have a couple of hot water urns separate from the machine. The coffee is very much lacking in flavour. I forgot to ask for extra pillows as mine were a bit squashy. We were on the ground floor with the window to the road. The window was filthy and the 'garden'/greenery has rubbish in it and looks pretty neglected. The carpet in our room has seen better days, a variety of stains on it from bleached at the door to a big burgundy spill by the bed.

The room was very clean & tidy. The bedding was clean & fresh. The breakfast area was clean, & the choices were plentiful.

The breakfast itself did not taste very fresh though. And the staff got slightly overawed with the amount of people that wanted breakfast. Food was running out, cups couldn't be washed quickly enough for people to have a coffee.

Breakfast selection wasn't great for vegetarians.

When we arrived the sofa bed had a huge hole in the mattress and the carpet was dirty they moved us to another room the mattresses were better but room wasn't very clean carpets stained and dirty and cupboards had dirty marks on it and doors as well was glad to leave on last day we were first to breakfast and trays were dirty with empty sugar pks on and one of the plates was dirty too

Cleanliness of the reception area and the room was really good, no awful sticky floors or carpets, the room and shower room were well appointed with plenty of cupboards/hanging space/electrical sockets/towels and with reading lamps above the beds, and blackout curtains. There was an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, tea/coffee equipment, and a TV. Lovely comfortable non squeaky firm clean beds and pillows. The reception ladies upon check in were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was calm with the tables being cleared quickly and refills for the hot food were brought out frequently. Check out the two lift ceilings, there are stars! There's an ice machine in the foyer, very useful. Hotel was quiet itself, and seemed to be in a quiet residential area with plenty of parking, no noise from the train line close by.

The air conditioning was hopeless, just not cold enough, as is the problem at many UK hotels no matter what you do to the settings - had to have the window open (as far as it would go) instead - we're having unprecedented hot weather, we need cooler rooms to sleep! We made good use of that ice machine in the lobby. I am fairly sure that a fan could have been supplied if we'd asked, but the air was so hot, a fan would have just sent the heat around the room even more, so we didn't ask for one.

Requested a room with connecting door as staying alongside a friend which we was given but sadly the door on my friends side wouldn't open so we couldn't make use of it. Did speak to reception who came to have a look but also couldn't open it Carpet had some old stains on it, nothing huge & didn't bother me much but maybe could do with a new carpet

Easy to find and the staff were welcoming on arrival.

The room and bathroom were both spotless and a good size. There was even a welcome note from the cleaning lady. There was no problem with changing towels or getting more tea/coffee supplies. Staff are friendly and helpful. We left an item behind and Sharon very kindly packaged it up for the courier to collect. She even advised me which courier to contact. The free breakfast includes the full range of cereals, bread and pastries, fruit, etc as well as a full buffet of cooked items. If you don't have the time for a sit down breakfast, they provide to-go cups and containers for your breakfast bap and coffee once you've made it. There is also an ice machine in the lobby - they are rather large chunks but great if you have the right sized bottle. It's only a short walk into town where there are many restaurants, bars and takeaways. We ate at the Nouka Indian restaurant (delicious food, nicely served and a very decorative interior), the Wetherspoons pub and also Chinese from the Parks Takeaway - all great prices and good food. The railway is also very close by.

They have a limited dinner menu which we didn't really like - hence the trips into town where we found much nicer and cheaper options as stated above.

Easy check in, we got there late on the night but the staff made it easy, good location from the town centre, breakfast was included and was really tasty.

for a family room it wasn't very spacious. Also there was 4 in the room but only 2 towels and enough tea and coffee for 2 people.

The receptionist was good, Izabela, although the hotel was horrible. We were able to cancel one our rooms, and get a refund, and that is commendable.

Dirty, filthy, and cannabis smell in the hallway, blue junkie lights in the bathrooms, hairs in the bed, the carpets need immediate ripout as the are so disgusting. We left.

The Air Conditioning unit was non existent.....did not go below 19, so room was not cool, very disappointed 😑 😢 couldn't have window open, as noise from carpark etc. Thought the grout in the shower could do with cleaning, but other then that , all good 👍

Great Room, comfortable, even a small sofa to sit on, liked the blue night light in Bathroom. Receptionist very bubbly & chatty upon arrival. Nicer Room than some other certain big chain Hotels. Would stay again.

Bed was ok not the most comfortable but definitely not the worst I've slept on.

Check in was very slow and staff were very disorganised. One member of staff started to check me in but actually didn't and then told another member of staff to do it and I had to go through my details 3 times before they eventually found my booking! The room had a very stale smoke smell to it and mould around the shower and a loose tile underfoot in the bathroom. The carpet was very tired. I had a dog with me and we were put in a room just through the corridor doors so everyone that walked through banging the doors put him on high alert. You sign to say you'll keep the dog quiet in the rooms. It would help if they didn't put you in the noisiest room in the corridor!

Decor was in need of a refresh. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. We were there 45 minutes before the end but many options were running low or out and weren’t refilled.

Was handy to town. Breakfast was reasonable, but, water for tea an coffee was luke warm, porridge was make your own in a canister, that didn't work with lukewarm water.

Person on reception was not as helpful as I felt they could have been, was booking for same day stay, felt the web site was totally misleading regarding price, so just turned up to book at reception, and price wanted was dearer than online, online it showed, so sat in reception and booked through a 3rd party. Along the corridor was distinct urine smell, maybe it takes a fresh nose to pick it up. Pillows were awful. Carpet was filthy, was room 207. You don't get clean cups on the daily clean, they get rinsed in the bathroom. Please come and visit New Zealand and find what real service looks like.

Location but that can’t be helped

Convenient for the Kingfisher centre and Redditch train station, free parking is great (there is a sensor as you leave that needs replacing, it's bashed in and held together with tape). Comfortable room with aircon, bliss. Fluffy towels, sparky and attentive staff, brilliant breakfast options, cool social area for a drink and watching football.

Really small points here: We had two items from the evening meal menu, bacon and cheese burger and fish and chips. These tasted good, but were slightly less that gastro quality. The burger came with loads of bacon but not very strong-tasting cheese and was a little like a burger van quarter pounder burger (something onion-y about it, and when you bite into it it's not like ground beef, it's much more processed than that). The fish with the fish and chips is crispy crumbed and a little like school dinner. I'm not sure that it's cod, the flesh is a bit greyer. The chips were the same as the burger chips, skinny fries (they are nice). We did like this food but I think we expected something more home-made/crunchy beer battered and aligned with Holiday Inn as a quality brand. But it was good value and filled us up. The coffee out of the machine at breakfast is horrible and weak. To improve this I'd get two espressos and top up with hot water, which was a bit better but still no substitute for a really good cup of brewed coffee. The shrubbery and plants outside need some attention to keep up the organised, professional outlook of the chain. Some of them are crispy and dead, and these are right by the entrance, very noticeable. The hairdryer was weak for heat but extremely noisy, like a drill. We stopped using ours.

Location was great for where we neded to go each day as well as being walking distance from a shopping mall and the town centre which was great. The room was of good size would of been better if had a king size bed but overall really good.

The tv remote control didn't work properly the power button didn't work had to turn on TV with the button on the TV and had to turn off at the plug socket. Pillows where a bit lumpy and hard but thats feather Pillows when they are to old and been washed to many times. Found it a bit strange that the light on the wall for over the desk could only be on when the main room light was on which defeats the purpose of having that light at all.

Lovely hotel close to town. Very helpful staff in reception. In fact all staff we met were lovely. Room was lovely. We was very impressed and would definitely visit again. Only one thing drinks very expensive but then in hotels they sometimes are. I think we would of had more drinks if cheaper. No complaints though we enjoyed our stay 😊
