el edificio magnífico, la localización Preciosa y tranquila. El personal amable, atento, respetuoso y muy colaborador. El gimnasio genial. El restaurante amplio. Y la vista y el jardín un paraíso secreto. La recepcionista Jordan muy súper amable y me cambio de habitación del 1 piso al segundo, cuando se lo pedí para evitar ruidos de un cumpleaños. Ella fue tan amable que quiero darle las gracias y mandarle un saludo . Gracias Jordan.

The car parking was secure for my motorbike. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I arrived at 6:30, had the hot tub to myself from 7 to 7:30 and then enjoyed a lovely dinner at 8. Excellent breakfast and comfortable lounge to sit in in the evening.

Lots of walking and steps to room

- A beautiful setting with great views out on the terrace. - The decor was lovely and modern (the bar, central areas and bedrooms). - The staff were very friendly and helpful. - The food was very good…I ordered a pizza and it was delicious. - I liked (as a female traveller alone) the fact that the doors were opened with an actual key.

- The bed in my room was a bit uncomfortable, with body impressions and the pillows were flat. - Although I liked the fact that the keys weren’t cards and were physical keys, felt more safe…the tags had the room number in a really large size, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. - Shame that the Elemis brand did not flow into the bathroom products. - There was no water in the rooms, for a 4* you’d expect a bottle of water.

Needs tidying up the garden wasn’t very tidy the jacuzzi didn’t work no pool no spa staff. Dinner service extremely slow even though there was only five people dining in the restaurant.

Location was good and all was very clean.

Shower controls were not the easiest to use.

Everything was really good expect food I ordered lamb kebabs odd a La carte menu was quite a long time coming and I asked for salad instead of the aubergine it came the kebabs were so over cooked they were extra y hard to eat and the salad I ordered came as 1 tamotoes and 2 pieces of lettuce considering everything food should be good but was very poor

No lifts and LOTS of stairs. With heavy bags nearly impossible to reach the room. The hotel is a little on the shabby side with paint peeling and extractor fans that don’t work.

It was friendly and spacious with rooms to chill

Only observation was the logistics of the breakfast arrangements. The flow of traffic of guests and staff was confined to one narrow walkway in the dining room. Health and safety was compromised as people were carrying hot drinks and plates of food across the walkway to get to their tables. The breakfast was fine.

The restaurant was in a very nice room and the staff were friendly and attentive. Main course was tasty especially the chips.

Bath was very high and difficult to step out of. Possibly dangerous. Wish we had not ordered desert as these very artifical and not what we expected from the description.

A good night's sleep - comfortable bed, dark and quiet room. Nice outside area to the back. The bathroom seemed newly refurbished..

The bedroom was a little dated and could have been cleaner. The lighting was very harsh. The windows were perhaps an original feature but were not in good condition and needed a good clean. There were a couple of spiders on the ceiling.

Great location, competitive pricing, spacious room, good variety of breakfast foods and gardens to the back of the hotel are lovely for sitting outside to eat/drink.

The bed wasn’t comfortable, pillows were awful. The carpet in the hotel is filthy, especially around the stairs and hallway. We were there for a week and although it said beds are changed every 3 days we had to ask for ours to be changed. The room cleaning isn’t good, thick dust the whole time on shelf above our bed, it wasn’t cleaned even though the cleaner was in our room every day. On one of the days the cleaner emptied the bins but didn’t make the bed or clean the bathroom. Some of the staff are so lovely and helpful, on the day before the last day of our stay a lovely girl told us we could ask for different types of eggs to be cooked at breakfast, wish we’d have know that sooner. Reception staff don’t lift their head when you’re going in or out. It wouldn’t take much effort to say good morning.

I like to sit in the garden and relax with company. I like the facilities and the option to use the spar.

The location of the room. We had to go up and down several stairs with our luggage because there was no lift. And the lighting in the room was very poor particularly for applying daily make up.

Plenty of parking easy check in and check out and the price was reasonable

Indeed pillows had stains and black mold on the windows, and decorative pillow in the bed had satins and was dusty .

The en-suite bedroom was great, we had a nice evening meal and there was a nice garden with comfortable chairs to sit in the evening to cool down after a very hot day.

We really enjoyed the breakfast with such choices, and not to forget the pleasant staff.

Our room had not had its daily service. It had to be asked for in the evening. Parking was very tight

Lovely grounds with paths leading to a nice little woodland walk with a fishing pond. The gym was also a lovely bonus.

Stains on the walls and carpets. Some of the corridors (the side where my room was at least) were very dark and oppressive and not very welcoming at all.

Bedroom and bathroom were very clean and had everything you needed. Very comfortable and relaxing. Had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent - delicious, large portion and good price.

The only small thing was that the water pressure in the shower could be a bit better but it wouldn't stop me staying there again.

Lovely, attractive property set in picturesque, forested grounds. Very nice foyer, bar and restaurant areas, as well as the rooms.

Nothing we disliked. One suggestion is that the baths could have a grab handle on the wall. The baths are very deep and it would be easy for an older person to slip getting in or out.

In the middle of a 33° heat wave and there was no air conditioning. No fan in the room. No kettle in the room so unable to make a cup of tea in the morning No fridge in the room so unable to cool any drinks. The quality of workmanship in the bathroom was atrocious with silicone everywhere. The shower was a mixer shower in the bath tub with a shower curtain and the shampoo dispenser was directly under the shower opposite the curtain so everytime you got shampoo the curtain would stick to you and pull away filling the bathroom floor with water. We've stayed in nicer hotels with better facilities for alot less.

We had one of the 'basement' rooms, which has no view, not a poblem for one night, and considering the temperature, probably couldn't have been a better choice as it was nice and cool. Excellent breakfast, and nice gardens.

The steps down to this level need better lighting - if it is PIR controlled, it isn't working. I'd actually consider this a hazard if you are just coming in from bright daylight, your eyes won't have adjusted and it just appears very dark.

Staff very helpful and friendly bar food very nice and plentiful priced ok. Room very clean looking over the gardens shower cold even when we ran the water for 40 minutes lucky we needed a cooler shower because the weather was 30 degrees Breakfast was great catered for everyone and if you wanted more you just helped yourself thank you to all the staff who made us very welcome we are going back

Bar and restaurant staff were excellent. Terrace and garden outside is lovely, although garden furniture is a little tired. Bar area and restaurant is nice. Room service was good.

Corridors are a bit dated, but not unusual for an old building of that size. Husband had a hotdog which was £15.50!

Large room and good breakfast choices

Had very long walk from reception to room with a number of stairs and no lift. No fridge in the room which was a nuisance considering the high temperature

Food and drink were great. Breakfast room was small when busy but good quality good and the staff were great even though rushed.

Room was quite a long walk. Seems like the building has been extended but you had to go upstairs, along a corridor, downstairs along a corridor just to get to the room and back.

The room that we had been given had a ten foot high wall only a yard from the room window, all that could be seen, if looking up, was the underside of the front of cars. When we returned to the hotel in the evening we had to wait fifteen minutes for a receptionist to arrive to give me our room key. We had a long wait to be seated at breakfast as there was only one staff who had to keep the breakfast bar filled, seat the diners, set and clear tables.

Areas of hotel was tired,our room was clean & tidy but we had issues with the en-suite 1 : WC would flush fine but struggled to take waste away took at 3-4 flushes so you had to wait for system to fill up 2 : shower very low pressure more water leaking from flexible hose than shower head was difficult to get a reasonable shower also shower tray filled up like a paddling pool water just wasn’t going away fast enough obviously drain blocked not very nice standing in dirty water or for next person wanting a shower 2 : Breakfast Buffett certain foods wasn’t replenished very quickly stood waiting namely fried eggs fruit juice also beans was kept in a hot pot supposedly they was just Luke room so while waiting for this your food on your plate had gone cold also the coffee machine was fine but I’m a tea drinker so the hot water for the tea had to come from coffee machine which water is not hot enough for a nice cup of tea and to top it all the machine couldn’t keep up if 3-4 people was wanting a drink it couldn’t heat water up quick enough Some staff was ok but it seemed like they wasn’t particularly happy some of it was false the welcoming etc you could tell

I loved that it is an old building, the staff were very friendly, we enjoyed the food here and the rooms were a good size.

We went during the heatwave, and we were melting - we had a fan but it was incredibly warm. It was just poor luck (or good luck) on our part, but we struggled to stay cool and there isn't a fridge. We also noticed large cracks in the wall and a fair few of the light bulbs had gone in our room.

The menu was a bit limited if you wanted something other than pizza or burgers.

The two girls that served us in the restaurant were wonderful.

The central heating, towel rack was on full blast, we ask the receptionist if someone could come and have a look at it. She said she text maintenance and was waiting for an answer, if not she would move us. Did neither. This meant the room was unbearable add to that the bed was very short and my feet hung over the end of the bed. All in all a waste of money, poor nights sleep. Glad we were leaving early because if we weren’t we would have left anyway. It looks nice but not fit for purpose.
