- Boiler was extremely loud and kept us awake all night. Wasn’t just loud it was almost vibrating the room. - No communication between cleaners and reception and the cleaner came in at 10am, woke us up and asked if we were checking out when we weren’t until the next day. - Most staff were unhelpful but there was one guy during the day that had a poor attitude. Just very abrupt which I didn’t appreciate when I have been quite nice considering the issues. - TV is very small with only a few channels, paying £170 for two nights you would expect at least a smart TV that I can see

Comfortable room - we chose an accessible room so that we would have extra space as we were traveling heavy! Breakfast is great, location great and helpful staff.

We didn't get any housekeeping for 2 days and had to request someone empty the trash and replace a couple of towels.

The assistance everytime I made a request was very great 👍

AC was not working and hotel promised to compensate 25% of the total and now is asking us to contact booking.com where as they should have said the same on day 1 without wasting 3 months for us to get a refund.

Staff were friendly, the breakfast was included and really nice. Kids loved the pancake machine! Main area with the bar is modern and has a decent selection of drinks at average prices. For the cost it's as expected quality.

Room was unclean and very hot! The sides of the bed were filthy, there was hair in the basin and it was very grimey. There was also a clump of hair in the kettle that found it's way into my morning coffee. Really turned my stomach! Air conditioning was not working and we were pre-warned. However, this meant the room was unbearably hot so none of us managed to sleep. The heat made us all thirsty, but the tap water tasted strongly of chemicals and bottled water was over priced at £3 each. Parking is very sparse aswell. The tiny car park is pay and display with poorly marked spaces and little room for manoeuvre. Its free after 8pm, but only a few spaces, which filled up very quickly on the Saturday night as Sunday is also free parking.

Lovely welcome from Ed at reception. The room was very clean, with an excellent shower. The bed was quite hard, but I slept well. The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice, although the machine coffee wasn't great.

The pillows were a bit lumpy. The coffee was awful. The parking was a bit of a hassle, and I hadn't considered that when I booked the room.

The friendly staff at reception making check in easy. The location to the train station and car park; and price for parking not too bad to say your not too far from London have paid more in some other areas for less time. The room was comfortable and clean.

There was nothing negative to say at all about the place.

We understand parking is not provided but it would have been nice to be able to have been given discount parking which was near the hotel as it is difficult when you have an neurodivergent child.

Room was not cleaned after a long day in London with 3 young children. When I asked why it was not cleaned or beds, I was told it was not their policy to do it every day. Having worked in hotels myself, I'm sure I was just being fobbed off.

From the moment we got there to the time we checked out, out experience was amazing. Was it the company or the hotel.? I think the hotel played a great part into our enjoyment

Plug (in room 324, behind door didnt work), the only other plug i could find was at the desk. Not enough airflow in from window (but i understand its a H&S risk to allow windows to open too wide)

The place was dirty. I was placed on lower ground initially and had to ask to be moved. The carpet looked like a crime scene the carpet was very dirty i didnt feel safe. The back door was open and it was dirty there. Every morning at breakfast, food was missing or not available or you had to wait, then there wasn't enough or you to pester the apologetic staff to get food out. This morning there were no eggs, croissants were finished waiting for sausages. People were frustrated just to eat.

The location for Knebworth.

I booked this to attend a concert at Knebworth through booking.com. I only wanted to stay one night but had to book three nights. Two days before I was due to arrive I received a from the hotel to say the air conditioning in the bedroom was not working. I had booked a non refundable room so could not cancel. On arrival at the hotel during a heat wave I found a small plastic fan to cool the room. All this did was blow hot air around the room. Sleeping in the room was unbearable. I would have been more comfortable in a Mexican prison cell than this bedroom. I found out from a member of staff that the air conditioning had been a problem for years. Holiday Inn express charged me £660 for this miserable experience. No money back was offered until I challenged the hotel staff about the situation. Holiday Inn Express very very deceitful.

The hotel is well placed and ideal for my visit to the area. The staff were very helpful and personable. Having the restaurant and bar downstairs was ideal as I didn’t want to walk into town. There was an issue with the kitchen ovens in the evening however the staff kept everyone updated and offered alternative food choices where possible. The food was great and service excellent. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The kitchen issues were fixed by morning and the breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. Will definitely return when in the area!

Nothing to like, no air con working in the bedroom,( last couple of times I stayed here was winter, and on those occasions the heating wasn't working properly)a leak behind the toilet leaving a pool constantly on the floor, this must have been noticed but nothing done. Breakfast was very very poor.

The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. The bar was also good as it had air conditioning and we spent a lot of time there.

Sadly we had a blockage in the bathroom sink which although cleared by staff, highlighted the lack of hygiene as the overflow was rancid. The bathroom needed a thorough clean. Strange set up regarding the bathroom door/toilet door. The hotel looked as though it needed a complete overhaul.

It was in a great location, easily walk into town. The rooms were spotless and well maintained . The staff were all very friendly and helpful and genuinely lovely people.

The air conditioning was broken, one small fan wasn’t enough, and the window only opened a jar. Was the worst nights sleep I’ve had in years. One of the kitchen ovens wasn’t working so at breakfast, there was literally no hot food left! We waited 20 minutes till more brought out with one item at a time, but then it all went within seconds! Basically I ended up just having cereal for breakfast!

It had the basic requirements needed

Although they told us the aircon was broken, they gave us one very small fan to help cool a family room with 4 people. There were no plug points next to the bed and my husband struggled to connect his sleep apnae machine as a result Under the sofa bed, someone had left rizla and other rubbish, which makes me think the room was not cleaned properly. The scrambled eggs were not great, almost tasted like powdered eggs. The staff member that checked us in was very rude. For the amount we paid for 2 nights, I expected a lot more.

Had to request clean towels on multiple occasions due to ‘being at full capacity’ even though the sign states rooms to be cleaned daily and to put dirty towels on the floor. Staff were miserable No aircon on the 2 hottest days of the year We had a disabled family room which smelled strongly of urine and damp because of the wet room. Grout in the bathroom was disgusting

Room: The bed was comfortable and was dark when the curtains were closed so I had a good nights sleep Breakfast: I stayed at the hotel as I went to EddFest, even though it was busy at breakfast the staff kept it topped up so I did not feel as if they would run out of cooked breakfast options.

Room: The air-conditioning being upgraded during the summer so it was very hot in the room but the fan helped control the temperature.
