Holiday Inn Express London Stansted Airport by IHG

The room and facilities were new and modern with no compromises. It was conveniently located for our early flight. The shuttle bus was punctual. Our dinner the night we arrived and our breakfast in the morning were fabulous. Staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Breakfast very moderate. No veggies, no cheese, no omelet or fried eggs, everything else was not really tasty. Room was not fresh.

Äänieristys käytävälle ja naapurihuoneeseen oli vajavainen, mutta ehkä meille osui vain äänekäs naapuri.

Staff for telling us THIS time to register our hire car just for the brief time of putting bags in our room before returning it, even as it was only 10 minutes, saving us a fine.

That the week before we weren't told to register car and have been booked for the short time of getting bags from our room after picking up hire car, 10 minutes. NOT happy. The bed was so uncomfortable, needs replacing. Breakfast not as good as previous weeks stay

Women At 4 am by a container delivery right outside my window. The again at 5.50 am to collect it or drop another one - no idea but I had The Worst nights sleep

Staff, room, food all good. I like the position of the dining area and outside terrace.

I wasn't sure how to properly adjust the room temperature but I would have asked staff if it was very important, and, for this stay, it wasn't. I would have appreciated at least one more bench for sitting outside the main entrance ( waiting for bus, for example ). There is seating really only for 2 people.

Definitely the Wfi . Poor. For an establishment like that I expect better. For some reason I couldn’t get on it, tried several times to log in with no success, went to reception twice to ask why they seemed confused why it wasn’t resolved. Lacks electrical sockets , one near the the station the other hid behind a curtain crazy.

L’emplacement. Le personnel très sympa . Le petit déjeuner simple mais correct … la navette de l’aéroport Calme et bien insonorisé. Lit top. Oreillers tops . Par contre des taches sur le sol ect .. salle de bain banales

Certaines chambres sont très jolies d’autres assez désuètes . Établissement qui commence malheureusement à vieillir et pas de rénovation.

Avoid this hotel – Broken promises and terrible quality Stayed here and experienced atrocious room conditions: visible stains on the carpet and couch, and an unbearable mattress with metal springs poking through that squeaked loudly with every movement. At the front desk, I was verbally promised a 50% refund due to these issues, but staff refused to provide written confirmation. Over a month and a half later, the hotel has completely ignored the issue, failed to contact me, and never issued the refund. Mitten in Central/IHG support couldn't resolve it either. Do not trust verbal commitments from the staff. Zero accountability.

Nothing. It was nice to have breakfast available for early departures. It would be useful to have a sign telling you you can’t take food/drink onto the shuttle bus as we were hoping to grab and go. Takeaway cups are provided but you’re not allowed to take them on the bus which seems a bit counter productive

The room was spotless. Very clean and comfy beds.

The staff was not able to accommodate our requests. We asked for a takeaway breakfast but there were no boxes in the morning. The shuttle to/from the airport is quite pricey - only free if you hire a car.

When I get to my room it wS night time I didn't realise that there's aa no view.witg that I felt closed in 🥺😱

Totally what I needed for the night. I had an early flat in the morning and it was one of the closest. Shuttle is very handy.

I wish the shuttle was every 15 minutes.

Very Noisy aircon in room. Useless toaster in breakfast room. A single 4 slot domestic toaster for dozens of guests which did not function is unacceptable. Long queues caused. Buy a proper commercial toaster! No small espresso cups. Only huge ones. Breakfast was disappointing. Poor quality selection of products.

It does exactly what it should; the rooms are clean & comfortable (although they could do with some softer pillows!), the shower is really good, and it’s a short shuttle bus ride to the airport terminal. The bar food is pretty good and they have a buffet breakfast starting at 4am for those on an early flight. The staff were friendly, polite & helpful.

The shuttle bus is expensive at £4 for a 4 minute ride!

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. The food was excellent quality and really enjoyable. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Bathroom and fixings were tired, extractor whistled throughout the night, my daughter refused to sleep on the sofa bed saying it was uncomfortable so we swapped. I was genuinely shocked at how little comfort there was, could feel all the springs like I was laying directly on them, left the hotel early to get to the airport, on check out the staff were reception too busy gossiping to enquire about the stay otherwise would have mentioned disappointment/dissatisfaction. Will book at one of the other hotels next time.

Having to pay £4 for the shuttle was shocking, the room had stains on the carpet and sofa, and under the bed there was rubbish (old medicine packaging).

Our air con didnt work so made roo very hot. The bed had springs coming out of the matress, and stains.told reception on way out but were not bothered.

La proximite de l'aéroport est appréciable. C était propre dans l ensemble. Le restaurant bon rapport qualité prix suffisant pour une etape.

Au vu du prix de la chambre, la navette pourrait être englobé dedans. On se serait passé du téléphone qui sonne à 4h du matin pour nous indiquer le petit dejeuner. Chambre propre mais odeur pas tres agréable. Pas tres bien isolé, on entend les gens marcher et claquer les portes. Toute la nuit, on voit la lumière du couloir sous la porte de la chambre. La salle de bain est vieillissante.

Sehr gut war, das es Frühstück ab 4.00Uhr gab. Dadurch das mein Flug um 7.00 ging konnte ich noch gemütlich frühstücken. Shuttle dauert 5-7 min Zimmer gut auch von der Grösse her Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wenn man das Hotel für einen Tagesausflug nach London besucht, muss man 4x den Shuttlebus nehmen. Einmal zum einchecken beim Hotel, dann wieder zum Flughafen um von da aus mit Zug oder Bustransfer nach London. Dann aus London zurück wieder Shuttle zum Hotel und nächsten Tag wieder zum Flughafen. Heusst 4x Shuttle a 4£ = 16£ Shuttlegebühren

Got spot to get to Stansted airport. The room wss clean and tidy.thecshuttle bus service was a great bonus.

Proximity to the airport is good, about 6 minutes drive with a paid shuttle bus (4 pounds fare)

The place is overpriced but remains to be only one of 3 hotels by the airport. For 120 pounds (about USD160) it's actually a motel like room, though generously offering a breakfast.

Se podía desayunar a partir de las 4:00, está cerca del aeropuerto con autobús cada 30 min y dispones de hervidor de agua en la habitación con café y té.

Me parece un poco caro para lo que es, la cama supletoria era malísima, no había ni champú ni gel en los botes de la ducha y la limpieza justa. El autobús lanzadera es gratis para los niños y el conductor me cobró el billete también de mi hija, yo no lo sabía, me enteré después, debería haberme avisado; de todos modos con lo que cuesta la habitación no deberían cobrar nada. Andando desde el aeropuerto está bastante lejos y más si vas cargado.

Charged for parking - no mention of this when booking or any of the confirmation emails. Room was dirty, bed wasn't very comfortable and breakfast was not very good.

Posizione molto comoda, vicino areoporto, è stato scelto proprio per questo motivo, avendo il volo al mattino presto. Comoda navetta per e da areoporto, durata 5 minuti, funzionante 24h su 24h. Camera spaziosa, bagno grande. Buono anche il ristorante. Di sicuro ci ritorneremo se volo con arrivo tardi alla notte o con volo presto al mattino.

Rundum nicht viel Möglichkeit

Not the best experience ever. It was the first time, when I stayed in the hotel with lots of dust (like as if they haven't opened the rood for a few month), wet used towels and bins filled with rubbish. There was a dripping tap, clogs of hair in the shower and extremely dirty carpets. If it wasn't an emergency, I would never stayed in the place like that and do not recommend to anyone.

c'e' un servizio navetta che ogni 30 minuti va all'aeroporto. Albergo ottimo, a 5 minuti di auto dall'aeroporto.

Close to the airport. There is a shuttle which goes every 30 minutes early in the morning so we were able to get to the airport at 5 a.m.

Lovely stay with everything you’d need. Everything, from the early breakfast and shuttle bus, is well organised and reliable - takes the stress out of travelling completely.

Exceeded our expectations. Staff were super nice, especially the young women who greeted us at reception. Really easy to get to and from Stansted and then on to wherever you are going. Food was really good too and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend.
