Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express.
All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hosteling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund).
Individual reservations (Up to 9 people) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If canceled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.
Groups reservations (more than 9 people) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost.
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.
Dogs are welcome at Glencoe, for a small fee, when booking a private room. Please notify us in advance to ensure that there’s a dog friendly room available.
Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hosteling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.
From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodations
Hosteling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when traveling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodations is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.
Check-in from 16:00 until 21:30 and check-out from 07:30 until 10:00. The hostel is closed during the day between 10:00 and 16:00, though access may be arranged – please contact the hostel in advance.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Nice spot to stay a night in the Glencoe area, spacious shared kitchen and dining area with plenty of kitchen equipment for cooking and meal times, decent drying room and laundry facilities, nice little lounge, glad to have a sink in our room.
Unisex shower and toilet area with limited number of showers and one shower was blocked for my sister resulting in a lake across the whole floor. Felt a bit uncomfortable going to the shower area in night wear as unisex. Not enough hooks for clothes while showering. Clothes dryer didn't dry our clothes and needed to pay more for another round. Beds a little too firm

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026La cabaña tenía un buen tamaño y estaba bien equipada, con dos sillones, nevera, microondas, calentador... Además el recepcionista era amable y disponible para cualquier duda. Fue posible lavar y secar la ropa por 9 libras. Parking ok. Ubicación muy buena. Cocina de zona común bien equipada y limpia.
La limpieza de la cabaña (no usamos la nevera ni el microondas porque estaban sucios, la primera con moho). También había moho en la parte baja de la mampara del baño, donde de madrugada vi dos babosas. El olor a humedad en la cabaña y sábanas era insoportable. No había donde colgar las toallas en el baño.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026L'emplacement est idéal proche de la vallée de Glencoe, l'accès est pratique, on peut se garer. L'accès à la partie cuisine est très pratique, L'accueil a été sympathique, ils ont pu nous fournir un petit kit de couture pour une réparation imprévue !
Les chambres sont assez mal insonorisées mais les personnes y étaient très respectueuses ce qui nous a permis de passer une bonne nuit, il ne faut pas être trop exigeant sur la modernité des espaces douches mais c'est fonctionnel

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026This is one of the friendliest hostels we have stayed in and is situated in a breathtaking location beneath the mountains. The room comfortably accommodated our family of five (4 adults and a teenager) and one dog. The room and facilities were spotless and the staff were so welcoming. The wee breakfast was great - cereals, toast, juice and tea and coffee. There is a cosy pub a mile down the road and hiking trails from the door. We were just passing through on our way home from the Outer Hebrides and this was a perfect place to end our holiday. Thank you to the Glen Coe team.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026La struttura è carina e immersa nella natura. Si trova vicino alla location della capanna di Hagrid, quindi consiglio di visitarla. La cucina è grande e fornita.
Ci sono pochi bagni (2 wc per tutto il piano) e non sono divisi tra uomo e donna. Materassi un po’ scomodi. Le docce in comune non funzionavano bene, l’acqua a volte usciva a volte no.

Actually this place was terrible. My son got bedbug bites all over his body. The sheets are dark colored so they are hard to see but it was infested. Obviously they're not cleaning their sheets properly. Beware. The bathrooms are mixed gender and no where to change in the shower area. There were only two toilets in a mixed gender restroom for the whole floor. The sink in the room itself is not drinkable water -- makes you wonder because Scotland has plentiful excellent water otherwise. The internet was non existent in our room and it was world cup final day! No TV and no internet good enough to watch. If you don't have a car I seriously don't understand how the regular backpacker would be able to get here. It's not close to anything.

C'est toujours une loterie mais les personnes qui résidaient en même temps que nous étaient très bruyantes. Les enfants ont eu de la difficulté à dormir puisque les portes claquaient jusqu'à tard le soir, les gens utilisaient les séchoirs dans les salles de bain très tôt le matin (dès 6h00). Bref nous sommes repartis épuisés.

Hostel is within walking distance to the Clachaig Inn which has great views of the Glencoe valley and great food. The Hostel is a short drive to start the stunning Glencoe Valley drive A82
hard to fault it, we will be back

As with all Scottish Youth Hostels the mattresses are a cheap innerspring and need replacing. They are not sagging, but bony, needing more padding

2 washing machines. Dated and used by staff to wash all the sheets and kitchen towels as well. One dryer only. Had to use it though and was not informed the lock was spoilt and there is a special way to unlock it. Laundry stayed in the machine overnight as I do not want to ring the emergency bell overnight. Kitchen equipments are not the cleanest. Note no staff after 930pm. The morning staff came in at 7 plus and was helpful.

The car parking was a bit adhoc, but seemed to work. The mattresses on the bed are a bit thin, but are OK for a short stay.

Die Bettwäsche bzw das Bettzeug war ein bisschen "zum Schwitzen", aber vllt haben wir auch nicht ideal Temperatur geregelt
