- Empfang sehr gut auf englisch und kompetent - Zimmerservice sehr gut und Hilfsbereit - Frühstück verschiedene Möglichkeiten und auch western Style vorhanden - Ein Mitarbeiter namens Binish hat uns sehr gut unterstützt. Top Service und vielen Dank Es gibt ein Kinderpool, ein großen Pool und ein weiteren Pool nähe Strand. Der Strand ist sehr schön mit Sand und die Wassertemperatur vom Meer sehr angenehm. Check out auch sehr angenehm.

- Zimmer Klimaanlage hat ein Geruch gehabt, nach dem ich diese reinigen lassen habe war es wieder in Ordnung. - Frühstücksraum sehr laut wenn es voll ist und es wird nicht die passende Musik gespielt. Vielleicht mal beruhigende Klavier Musik probieren. - Einige Mitarbeiter im Frühstücksraum unfreundlich beim einweisen der Plätze. - Trotz freie Plätze im Frühstückraum mussten einige Gäste warten , Warum ??? - Pool Temperatur zu warm als ob beheizt wurde - Strandabschnitt geschlossen aber kein Hinweis das es ein weiteren Abschnitt Richtung Hilton Hotel gibt wo Ritz Carlton auch Strandliegen mit Sonnenschirmen aufgestellt hat. Merkwürdig als ich das Personal am abgesperrten Bereich gefragt habe wurde mir nur gesagt kein Zugang aber warum gibt keiner ein Hinweis das Richtung Hilton alles organisiert ist. Preise sehr teuer im Hotel bezüglich Mittag und Abendessen. Ich war vor 2 Jahren im selben Ritz Carlton und es ist ca 20 bis 40% teurer geworden. Grundsätzlich ist Abends nicht viel los. Ein Aperol Spritz kostet 98 Rmb , ein Budweiser 0,3L ca 50Rmb. Pommes kostet ca 110Rmb ( unglaublich) Hamburger mit Pommes und Mini Salat ca 220Rmb , Cola ca 38Rmb Abendbuffet kostet ca 550 RmB . Die Preise sind zu hoch und es gab kaum Gäste beim Essen. Am Strand laufen Verkäufer rum , der eine verkauft sogar Chickenburger, Cola, Bier usw für sehr günstige Preise, also am Strand kaufen. Abendessen kann man ca 2km weiter in so einer Geschäftsreise mit Restaurants, Shops, Starbucks etc. Zu empfehlen ist LaTabella oder der Yu Shanjianlai Xinjiang Cai Muslim Restaurant. Öffnungszeiten der Sand Strandbar Wir sind abends um 21h von draußen gekommen und wollten trotz hoher Preise mal etwas trinken aber um 22h war schon wieder schluss. Vielleicht mal die Sandbar später öffnen und um 24h schließen. Wir sind im Urlaub und nicht bei der Arbeit. Grundsätzlich muss das Konzept und die Preise mal überdacht werden.

Отель сильно уставший, завтрак не зашел, рестораны плохие все, включая сервис в них. Вместо своего пляжа была стройка. Плохая уборка в номерах. В коридорах невероятно душно-кондиционеры не включали, видимо, экономили электроэнергию.

Сам по себе отель довольно «уставший» (интерьер), не мешало бы провести небольшие обновления. Уборка в номерах была не очень, полы были постоянно грязные. Мусор и пыль заметались за дверь гардеробной комнаты. Все в отеле очень дорого. Например, купить мороженное в отеле стоит 50 CNY за порцию, что превышает цену за территорией более чем в 5 раз!

First Impressions & Grounds From the moment you arrive, the resort feels like a serene sanctuary. The sprawling grounds are beautifully landscaped with towering palm trees, lush gardens, and winding pathways that lead to multiple pools, the beach, and various dining venues. The architecture beautifully fuses modern luxury with traditional Chinese elements – think elegant pavilions, red accents, and intricate woodwork. The highlight of the outdoor spaces is the massive, beautifully designed swimming pools. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool with a book or taking a dip at sunset, it’s pure bliss. The beach access is excellent too – soft white sand, clear turquoise water, and a wooden boardwalk leading straight down to the sea. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and offer wonderful views of the gardens, pools, or ocean. The bathrooms are particularly impressive with deep soaking tubs and high-quality amenities. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained. The resort has top-tier facilities including a well-equipped gym, kids’ club, and multiple dining options. During our stay, we enjoyed playing on the colorful tennis courts surrounded by palm trees and festive red lanterns – a lovely touch. We were fortunate to visit during Chinese New Year, and the resort pulled out all the stops. The evening fire shows were spectacular! Bright sparks flying high into the night sky, reflected beautifully in the water features, created a magical atmosphere. Equally impressive was the traditional lion dance performance. The vibrant yellow and red lions “danced” energetically under the wooden pavilions, reaching up to grab the hanging greens and red envelopes. The energy, drums, and crowd’s excitement made it a truly authentic and joyful cultural experience that perfectly captured the spirit of the festival. Dining – Signature Hainan Beef Noodles The dining options at the resort are excellent, but one dish stood out as a true signature experience: the Hainan beef noodles. Served in a rich, aromatic broth, this bowl features tender slices of beef, hearty chunks of beef brisket or tendon, fresh rice noodles, and a perfectly balanced sour and slightly spicy profile. The tang comes beautifully from lime and pickled elements, while a gentle heat builds in the background without overpowering the delicate flavors. It’s comforting, flavorful, and deeply satisfying – easily one of the best noodle soups I’ve had in China. Paired with fresh juices and a side of fruit, it made for a perfect light yet filling meal. We also enjoyed the elegant afternoon tea at the club, setup with a beautiful multi-tiered stand featuring delicate pastries, scones, and fresh tropical fruits served in a dragon fruit bowl. Breakfast was abundant with both Western and Chinese options. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. From the housekeeping team who left thoughtful touches to the dining staff who remembered our preferences, the service felt personalized and heartfelt. Overall, The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay delivered a memorable luxury escape, especially during the festive Chinese New Year period. Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Sanya was truly special. From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcomed — the attention to detail here is on another level. A personalized note and welcome treats in the room made it feel very thoughtful. The atmosphere is calm, private, and very refined. The grounds are spacious, so you never feel crowded. We also had a chance to try ocean fishing, and it was such a memorable experience — everyone in our family truly enjoyed it. We even played pickleball during our stay, and it was so much fun. We especially appreciated the Club Lounge experience and the quality of food throughout the stay. This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful, high-end getaway with exceptional service.

Had a lovely getaway experience to Sanya staying at the Ritz Carlton Sanya. After a very short ride from the train station to the resort which is located right on popular Yalong Bay, we were offered a very warm welcome by the GM - Ms Sherona Lau. We were checked into a very spacious and well appointed room with large balcony offering good ocean view. The resort offers good choice of F&B options, beachfront restaurants with band and even a ice cream bar. The highlight of our stay is however the Club as it provided us with such good valued, round the clock meals with drinks and bites in between. The beef rice noodles is seriously addictive. Club staff also always welcome us with a lovely smile, Jay was especially thoughtful.The resort's leisure facilities are also top notch, spa, multiple pools, picket ball and beach volleyball courts, huge gym, spa and even a fishing pond. We really do not need to travel out during our 3 nights' stay and just fully enjoy a very relaxing stay at resort. I hope to revisit this lovely resort again when I next visit Sanya.

Arrived to the most beautiful welcome, weather and resort - the Ritz-Carlton Sanya had the most superb, friendly and helpful staff paired with an incredibly stunning location, comfy rooms, brilliant facilities, activities, and lovely restaurants. Would especially recommend the Italian or lunch at the Sand Bar. If you are looking for a special holiday, restful break, or simply a first class holiday, I could not recommend it more. Can’t wait to go back already!

This is truly an unforgetable experience. The service, the facilities, as well as the place a re fantastic. This truly is luxury. Can only recommend it. The coolest thing was probably the selection of pools with fun toys like waterguns and jetskis to rent.

The staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating. The view is stunning, and despite the fact that the hotel is showing signs of aging, property maintenance is ongoing everywhere you go. A lovely blend of bars, restaurants, lawn spaces and pools made this a beautiful and relaxing honeymoon trip.

Tech is a bit outdated (for example, only USB2 ports in the hotel room) throughout. Lounge Club food could have been more sophisticated.

I had a fantastic stay at The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The beach, gardens, and overall environment make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a luxury vacation. The Executive Lounge was one of the highlights of my stay. The team there provided truly excellent service every time I visited. Special thanks to Alice, Jay, Willa, and May. They were always warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Their professionalism and friendliness made the lounge experience very comfortable and enjoyable. You can really feel the Ritz-Carlton standard through their service. The fitness center is also outstanding, with modern equipment and a very clean environment. I would like to thank James, Jerry, and Peter from the gym team. They were very friendly and helpful, always making sure guests felt welcome and that everything was running perfectly. Overall, the service throughout the resort was exceptional. The staff truly go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay to anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality resort experience.

We visited during a busy time frame right around the Chinese new year. But the hospitality I received from the hotel is beyond what I have expected. This is the second time I have visited this property, the last time is 2008 right after the grand opening of ritz Sanya. The property does show its age after almost 20 years of service, but the staff members is what turns a stay into an experience. Lena, our personal butler, is a prime example of being above and beyond to ensure our stay is as smooth as possible. She greeted us with a thorough introduction of all the facilities on ritz Sanya and followed up with all the activities we can try. We ended up trying several of the in house activities and they were all great. The room is large and comfortable, and of course a great view of the beach and sea. When the sun is out, a glance out of the balcony really made this trip worth it. Overall I would recommend this location to family oriented people, it would make your time worth while.

We had the best family holiday at the ritz-Carlton sanya. The resort is extremely family and kid friendly. The ritz kids had activities available for the kids everyday which our kids (age 4 and 6) enjoyed all the activities. There wasn’t a need to leave the resort as they had all we needed on site. The restaurants were incredible and there was a great selection of different types of cuisines to enjoy. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. We will definitely be back to ritz-Carlton sanya to make more unforgettable memories.

The spa at The Ritz-Carlton Sanya Yalong Bay 5* left a very positive impression on me. The atmosphere is tranquil and elegant, and the facilities are clean, comfortable and well designed. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous throughout my visit. They were tactful, respectful and attentive to details, which made me feel truly cared for. It was easy to communicate in English, so I could clearly explain my preferences and ask questions without any difficulty. The spa offers a wide range of programs, including different types of massages, body treatments and relaxation rituals, so it is simple to choose something that fits your needs. I was very satisfied with the quality of the services: the therapists were professional, and after the treatment I felt deeply relaxed, refreshed and full of energy.

Excellent resort location with a spectacular view from most rooms, but my favourite is the poolside with a Jacuzzi; it's like a Chiang Mai feeling and very enjoyable. Last but not least, the team member did very well, like Alison's flexibility to change the best room to me, Jay from the Club lounge remembered my name to greet me every morning, and provided my favourite drinks when I dropped by. Thank you for providing excellent service during my stay, it's worth coming back again. By the way, don't miss the reserve poolside room. Edwin

Морской пляж возле отеля ,можно было выкопать при отливе эти камни и сделать песочный пляж ,ну и хотелось сказать ,что ужин в 498 юаней это дорого ,потому что фактически вся еда острая и не европейский стол ,хотелось что бы бассейн на вилле был не проточный и успел нагреваться или был с подогревом .

We spent a wonderful week at Ritz Carlton Yalong Bay. Special thanks to Tatyana, who helped us a lot as from the beginning to feel comfortable, arrange things and find the best day trips. Her kindness and support was extremely helpful! Our room had a beautiful view of the sea, was extremely nice, spacious, comfortable & stylish. Breakfast was delicious and as of great variety. We usually chose from the plenty of tasty Chinese food. For dinner we liked the Chinese restaurant the most. The Cantonese duck was the most tasty. Pool area is huge and beautiful. Beach in front of the hotel is only for sun beds but not for swimming. However, a 100 m away there is a designated area for swimming. We made several day trips to tropical forest areas (Yalong Forest Park, Yanoda Rainforest Park), Nanshan Temple Complex, Sanya City with the First (night) Market, Wuzhizhou Island, etc.. All were adventures and very interesting. You need to prepare yourself with a good translator app as to find English speaker people is challenging. Downloading Alipay is also recommended, everyone uses it for payment. On the other hand if you are well prepared and like adventure, you will enjoy exploring this beautiful island.

Срочно требуется реновация, свой пляж почему то в камнях, приходится идти до соседнего отеля. Так много вопросов, но мало ответов.

Zimmer 10/10: super geräumig mit toller Einrichtung. Obst und Wasser jeden Tag frisch bekommen. Zimmermädchen 10/10: wickeln Dir sogar Deine Kabel auf. Waren sehr sehr nett, die nettesten vom ganzen Hotel. Zimmer war immer super clean! Pool: Leider war der Frontpool nicht nutzbar, aber der Pool direkt an den Zimmern war sehr schön und groß, mit Familienliegen, immer frisches Wasser, Sonnencreme und Handtüchern. Sogar im Pool ein Sandbereich - Meerfeeling ! Standup Padel zum ausleihen (kostenfrei für 30min) und für Kids elektr. Wasserpistolen und elektr. Wassergleiter gegen Aufpreis für die Akkus. Personal aufmerksam und wachsam. Frühstück: gute Auswahl an asiatischen und westlichen Gerichten. Die FrenchToasts sind sehr zu empfehlen. Zusatzangebote wie TaiChi, Yoga etc. fanden wir auch sehr gut (kostenfrei) Da leider die meisten Chinesen, auch an der Rezeption nicht gut oder gar kein englisch sprechen, wurde uns Tatyana via WhatsApp zur Verfügung gestellt. Sie hat sich um vieles gekümmert und einen super Job gemacht - Danke nochmal dafür Tatyana.

- Frontpool konnte nicht genutzt werden, Preise wurden aber nicht reduziert :-( wurde auch nicht drauf hingewiesen von Booking.com - Strand war immer ein Fußmarsch ein Hotel weiter, dort gabs dann aber zu mindestens Liegen, Wasser, Sonnencreme - Frühstück zu Stoßzeiten sehr voll und laut. Tipp -> draußen sitzen. Wird zwar organisiert, aber man muss manchmal auf einen freien Platz warten.

– hair on the floor and odor in the room – hotel is not ready for foreigners – 10 minutes wait on breakfasts (that's a common situation in China) – hotel is pretty dated and shabby – it’s very difficult to get an iron or book a table – cocktails have artificial flavours yet waiting for drinks at the pool takes forever – dirty beach and sea – all the bars are closed

Superb hotel in a lovely tropical location. All staff were as warm as the weather. We loved having cocktails by the pool during our 4 night stay there. Sofia restaurant was really delicious as well.

As a Marriott Ambassador member for nearly 10 years, I am extremely disappointed with my stay at The Ritz-Carlton Sanya. I have stayed here several times over the years and previously found the property acceptable, but sadly, not anymore. Frankly, I am surprised Marriott continues to allow the Ritz-Carlton brand on this property, especially if it is indeed Marriott-managed. Property & Condition The hotel feels tired and neglected. It is obvious the owners are not reinvesting, and the property is simply being milked. The beach, once enjoyable for swimming, is now badly eroded with rocks and stones. What was once great for body surfing is now unsafe. Service & Staff Since arrival, I have not met a single staff member who speaks English. Every interaction has been through translation apps. While this may work at a mid-tier property, for a Ritz-Carlton it is completely unacceptable. Hospitality should be about warmth and connection—here it feels robotic and distant. Check-in was another low point: I arrived late at night, the receptionist had her head on the desk, popped up when I approached, and said simply “passport.” No greeting, no welcome, no acknowledgment of my Ambassador status, and certainly no warmth. I was handed my key and pointed toward the elevator. No welcome amenity in the room either, which is standard at this level. Club Lounge & Dining I booked the Club Level expecting Ritz-Carlton standards. Instead, I found the food and beverage offerings mediocre, with limited selections. Drinks are kept in a tiny, dorm-style refrigerator with a broken door—everything is warm. This is embarrassing for a property of this brand. At breakfast, scrambled eggs required multiple attempts via translation apps before staff finally understood. A simple bilingual menu in English and Mandarin would solve this instantly. On another morning, when I asked for more orange juice, the server picked up my half-full glass to “see what it was,” then placed it back on the table. This is not luxury service. Value I am spending over 11,000 RMB for three nights, and the experience is nowhere near worth it. The property is overpriced, under serviced, and simply not representative of the Ritz-Carlton or Marriott standards. Final Observation I am not trying to critique for the sake of being critical—I am observing, and I hope someone in Marriott leadership cares. On property, unfortunately, it feels like nobody does. For foreigners seeking a luxury Ritz-Carlton experience, this is not the place. It is overpriced, poorly serviced, unimpressive, and fails to live up to the brand.

Beautiful hotel, the staff were super friendly and attentive and the food was fabulous. Got to talk to the head chef Stuart, attention is o detail seems to be a speciality at the hotel, we will definitely be back in the near future. The gardens were a real feature on the restaurant terrace with a welcome breeze

Had a great time at the Ritz Carlton, the room was spacious with an amazing view. Staff was friendly, food was delicious. Had a complimentary photo and video shoot on the beach, 思思~ was very talented and almost all photos came out beautifully. Highly recommended!

The property is beautiful, and the breakfast was incredible. The staff was very helpful in quickly changing my room after the one I was supposed to stay in smelled like smoke.

The vendors at the beach seem to have some arrangements with the Staff, who are loud and aggressive.

we had a delightful dinner at sofia restaurant. Italian food was so so so delicious . we friends enjoying a lots. Perfect service , very attentive and friendly staff. Ambience is beautiful. The way they setup their tables .The outside view from the sofia is just wow 😍……

Beautiful hotel great service!

It’s a good old-school resort with high standards of service. The cuisine in restaurants was very good, territory is well preserved, they even have a small zoo, nice for kids.

It took some time for us to get a room, though we arrived on time. After we’ve seen the room, we decided to upgrade to a villa which was a good decision. The beach is united with Hilton and a bit far away from hotel complex, but still ok.

This is an excellent hotel with magnificent landscaping in traditional Chinese style, three pools (Infinity and two larger ones along the hotel buildings), its own access to the sea, delicious restaurants and very attentive service. The hotel has an extensive breakfast menu - a large buffet, mostly with Chinese food; four restaurants (Chinese, Italian, seafood and BBQ). Often there are celebrations - weddings and the like, but this does not interfere with the accommodation and complements the atmosphere of staying at the Ritz-Carlton with a sense of celebration. I would like to thank the hotel team and staff who made our stay very comfortable and friendly. First of all, I would like to thank the team of office staff - Tatiana and Dave, who helped us to overcome the language barrier and helped with all our requests in good Russian and English. I would also like to thank the Lady helping us with the organization of breakfasts - Violet, her attentiveness and good English also helped us to understand the unusual for Europeans cuisine. Of course, and other teams work very responsibly - one of the few vacations where I have no significant remarks to the place of accommodation even among 5*. Thank you!

Hard to find somebody who speaks English. Beach is all rocks have to go other hotels to swim. Dinning is limited.

The service was fantastic, starting from the beach boys/girls and to the cleaning staff - everyone has been extremely helpful, attentive to our needs and diligent about our water safety. It would have helped if the staff could speak better English, but we were able to communicate just fine without it using Google Translate. The territory is very well taken care of and full of greenery. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The two pools were beautiful and very peaceful - it felt like there was barely anyone there, so we were able to have a very calm time by the pool. Most importantly, we were blown away by one of the hotel staff members - Tatyana! She provided us with a wonderful welcome and was extremely responsive to all our queries. She has also shown exemplary professionalism and empathy all throughout our stay. All in all, she was incredibly friendly, extroverted and helpful - we will miss her very dearly!

Hotel is lovely- and certainly appears to be on the best swimming beach in Sanya.Lagoon rooms have cozy patios and allow you to swim out in the lagoon (long and winding and beautifully landscaped pool) directly from your room. Breakfast quality was not up to par- huge quantities of so so food. Plenty of filling carbs but long wait for made to order omelets and very crowded and loud. Sofia- the on-site Italian restaurant- provided delicious food - tasty , creamy burrsta salad, tender perfectly cooked steak, excellent fresh seared foie gras and superb service. Best part of our stay was Annie- a personal butler assigned to us who was extremely professional, efficient and kind. She was very responsive not only to our questions but went above and beyond to address our concerns (ie breakfast issues, for which food manager reached out to not only understand the problems but to make it up to us with a quiet delicious breakfast on our final morning). Annie consistently messaged to ensure our stay was up to expectations and as a result we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. If you love the beach and ocean swimming, and if you can have Annie as your liaison, would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton. Seems to be particularly good for young children as well!

So this is the Ritz Carlton. Of course it’s great. The positive feelings for the accommodation start right as you enter the main gate, and you can appreciate the lush landscape and Chinese/tropical architecture as you drive up to the entranceway. The staff are always there waiting to help you with everything you need. Check-in was a little bit slow and cumbersome, but not everything of course is ever perfect. We had two rooms and they were very well equipped, very clean and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the Bathrooms were perfectly laid out and the showers were always nice and hot! The Wi-Fi throughout the hotel worked very well and in the room it was high speed. There is so much to say about this hotel because there were so many things to do, but I will just mention that the swimming pools were very nice. One was super long. The beach was a little bit of a problem since the beach right at the hotel was rocky and, the hotel staff asked you to use the neighboring beach, which was quite nice. It Is possible to go and swim in the sea although the water was a bit musty and it was fairly wavy. But the sand was very nice. We spent most of our time at the swimming pools. our child went to the kids club and he liked it very much and always wanted to go back the next day. The kids club staff were very helpful and friendly. Also The breakfast food is absolutely fantastic. Maybe the best part about the hotel complexes is Its lush surroundings, and beautiful views of the sea. Make sure to get a sea view room at a higher floor.

The one thing that I didn’t like was that although the rooms were fairly priced, everything else was charged triple at what it should be. Having an extra bed in the room cost as much almost as the room itself. The restaurants were quite expensive. don’t ask me what dry cleaning cost, etc. The other qualm was that there were times when the line to get into the breakfast room was a bit long. If you get there early, you’ll have the whole whole place to yourself. But if you get there at 9 AM, you might have to wait.

This is our 14th time to stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Sanya. When we first got here our kids were 4 and 6 years of age. Now they are 18 and 20 so we have very fond memories of this hotel. Some of the staff still remember us which make us feel like we are family. Our stay at the Club level has been amazing, the service is exceptional and the quality of the food at the hotel and in particular at the Club level is of the highest quality. The quality of the rooms/room service/amenities/pools etc are of the highest standard. I have been to many hotels and I think the Ritz-Carlton Sanya is still the best. I would like to thank Patrick Weder, General Manager, the Chef’s in particular, and all the staff at the Club level for making our stay so enjoyable.

This was our first experience in Sanya - billed as the Chinese Hawaii. Having travelled extensively in China, we were nervous about how good the service would be. We need not have worried. We booked an Ocean view club room, which was spacious and impeccably clean. On the seventh floor we had a good view of the gardens and the bay with the toing and froing of ships out to sea and water sports nearer to shore. Plenty of complimentary water bottles so no fear of dehydration. There are two main pools, and we used both. The larger one circles the hotel and you can take a mini canoe and paddle around! The infinity pool at the beach is more traditional and relaxing. There are four restaurants and all are of a good quality and the service, whilst English may be limited, is keen and if you use a translation app, all is smooth. At reception there are two staff who speak fluent English who can help with any queries. Restaurant reviews have been provided separately, but the Italian chef looks after you well in 'Sofia' is excellent, the buffet breakfast has a vast selection, 'Sand' provides a relaxed outdoor experience, and the Chinese restaurant 'Pearl' has a fabulous 'mapu tofu'. The beach at Yalong Bay is several miles long, and there are Western hotels all along it, so if you were here for longer, there are several other restaurants you can try. One of the top ten golf courses in China, Yalong Bay GC is only 15 minutes walk from the hotel so this is a dream for golfers!
