Beds a little hard for my liking

We had King Suite and found it roomy and comfortable with a king size bed, a sofa and chair in front of the TV and a table with 2 chairs if you wished to eat in your unit. The pool was clean and there were plenty of sun beds available. We didn’t cook but enjoyed having a fridge, coffee machine, kettle and dishwasher available.

We only ate at the onsite restaurant we once as we had a burger and found it to be rather tasteless. It could have been seasoned better and had some sort of sauce.

Very clean facilities and room, friendly and helpful staff, lovely pool and beach area, and the games area outside with cornhole and ping pong and was great. We stayed here eight years ago when our two sons were younger, so it was neat coming back with them as teenagers.

We found the food at the restaurant mediocre, so ate there once and left the resort to eat the rest of the time.

We loved that we were able to walk to the beach right from our room. The pool and hot tubs were wonderful. The lighting at night was beautiful.

There was one gentleman working the front reception that seems a bit rude and abrupt. I had asked for an additional coffee and was informed that there was only 1 left instead of 2. I don't like the idea that I need to keep asking for coffee.

Nothing to complain.

First off I’ll say this. I never complain. I never leave reviews (good or bad) I just think the bad stuff might be a one off and no sense in getting all worked up over it, or maybe I went in with too high of expectations? And the good stuff- well I just don’t bother ever writing anything. So. My wife and I went away for a weekend beginning July - hotel was decent but post checkout issues left bad taste in our mouths. We checked in when we got there and out when we left- all was smooth. A few days later I noticed an additional charge for $400+ on my credit card. I called the resort talked to the manager and he said that was a 1 night fee for a ‘no-show’. Apparently in their system I had 2 reservations under my name for the same dates and since I only checked in once the other was deemed a no show and so I was charged. The kicker is I never had 2 reservations…They said it was booked through Expedia (I never booked through Expedia- so weird…)so I called Expedia they said they only had record of 1 reservation on record through hotels.com (who I did indeed book with) and that since when I booked I chose to pay at the resort instead of upfront or a deposit via Expedia that they have nothing to do with payments and that is all up so the resort. So obviously there was a mistake double booked somewhere along the lines and I got charged for it. Multiple calls to the resort & manager (Expedia as well) and still never refunded. You’d think when you check in, the front desk might see that there are 2 reservations under a name and maybe that would be a bit of a red flag and they would ask you if that is correct or not? Apparently not. Needless to say-not a good experience and just for the lack of help and empathy we will not go back Also. You can’t get a coffee or anything anywhere on the property until the restaurant opens at 8am!! Unless you make it in your room

The floor in the room was very dirty and left our feet black. They need to be washed (tile only) daily. There are rules to follow at the pool (no outside alcohol, no reserving loungers, no pool toys) but staff don't enforce the rules very well to the detriment of others. Very loud pool with screaming/crying kids, which is understandable for a family hotel, just be aware. The hotel staff wouldn't help with altering reservation dates made on Booking.com and Booking.com wouldn't help with contacting the hotel. Very frustrating!

No shortage of lounge chairs

Restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with nothing else nearby. The staff were not familiar with the happy hour menu.

It’s a beautiful property, but it’s very loud. Certainly not a peaceful stay. Also, you are limited in restaurants and the food at the restaurant was just OK.

Restaurant could use a little improvements. I recommend starting with the quality of the food serverd, types of food offered and getting the poor pool/beach staff more help. They clearly need support. They are running literally all day.

I’m currently in room 218. For three whole nights I’ve been hearing banging, running and thumping from the room above. I have reported the disruption every night with nothing being done but lip service. I was told I would by management that I would have a quiet last night. It’s been anything but. This is not the place for a quiet get away.

This is a great hotel to stay at. It's not quite as expensive as some of the fancier ones but gives you everything you need. The rooms are clean and contain everything that you need. The pool is fantastic and the private beach is so convenient. They also offer food services at the pool and beach, which gives it a nice resort field. The hotel overall is not fancy, but it is clean and well organized and the staff are knowledgable and helpful. Do you expect a bit of a wait with food services as they are obviously short of workers but the waitresses and waiters were so friendly and doing the best that they . We would definitely stay here again.

No free breakfast for the cost. We were on the main floor and the room above us was loud- we could hear loud walking and banging on a regular basis. Staff were not as friendly and professional as you would expect for this level of hotel.

This resort is beautiful. It was the nicest stay of our 5-day road trip. The views are spectacular. The beach was private. Our suite was stunning, with a fully equipped kitchen. I would definitely recommend Walnut Beach Resort to family and friends.

I love the heated pool, the beach access and the location. It's very relaxing and peaceful. This is the second time I've been here.

Not fault of the hotel, the bugs were really bad at this time of year ( may). It made it a bit of a nuisance to enjoy being outside. The only other critque would be that the kitchens could be equipped with more supplies like it's mission scissors and the pots and pans are kind of small. My recommendation if you are staying in the suites with just the kitchenett, just bring simple food, because there's not enough cooking supplies and the supplies are small ( like the cutting board).

I have stayed at this resort many times with my husband, as we love the location, pool and beach. Over the years we have found that the rooms were feeling very neglected, dated, and dirtier with each visit. I decided to book the Merlot 2 bedroom room for a girls trip; it was my friend's first time at Walnut Beach Resort. Upon arrival the room I noticed the smell of smoke instantly. Everything we entered the room from the hallway or balcony it was noticeable. I was embarrassed and felt terrible because I was so proud of this resort and was hoping she would love it too. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The ceiling in one of the bathrooms had dark spots on if, and what appeared to be a bounce laundry sheet stuck in between the ceiling panels. Never have we experienced this before. She has stayed at the Watermark and said it was more modern and updated. Unfortunately the neglect over the years is evident, and the price no longer matches it's value. We may have to explore other resorts in the are next time we return to Osoyoos :(

Facilities and location

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

The 1st complaint was the breakfast buffet. Most of the food was warm or cold, the toaster didn't work. For that reason I would say it wasnt worth the $20 each. It should be free for what we paid for our room. 2nd, our room was said to be a mtn view but was actually of a tree in the parking lot. No mtn views.

A fantastic location over looking the lake with a clean nicely heated pool and private sandy beach. Clean and comfortable rooms. The heated pool area is kept very clean and tidy and has a nice selection of BBQ’s. The hot tubs are excellent. This place is good but is a bit let down by the restaurant which could be improved.

Getting a bit dated but it is very clean. The restaurant was disappointing, over-cooked fish and chips and it seemed to be somewhat understaffed. If the food choices and quality was improved it would make a huge difference to the overall experience.

Very nice and clean hotel in a good location and beautiful views. Very helpful staff and friendly. Swimming pool was very nice but lots of jumping from adults and children which wasn’t pleasant and also young children were coming and going to the jacuzzi which wasn’t pleasant either. At last we found out that if you book through expedia you get much cheaper offers which is strange. All together we love the hotel and our stay.

It was very quiet. The room was spacious and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub every evening.

Nothing really

Check-in was awkward and unwelcoming. The front desk is located upstairs at what feels like a tiny desk shoved into a hallway beside the restaurant. It was loud, chaotic, and uncomfortable, with people constantly walking behind us while we were trying to check in. Definitely not the warm or relaxing arrival experience you would expect from a hotel. At first glance, the guest room looked nice enough, but once we settled in, the issues became more obvious. The kitchen equipment was inadequate, making the space far less functional than expected. The view was decent, but the biggest problem by far was the atmosphere and noise level. We fully expected the hotel to be busy and energetic during a long weekend, and we understand that some noise comes with that. However, this went far beyond normal vacation energy. The environment felt more like a frat house party, 20+people jammed into a small hot tub. with late-night partying, chanting, and “chug, chug, chug” behaviour carrying on well into the night. What was most frustrating was that after complaining to hotel staff, the hotel staff did not manage the situation at all. After two sleepless nights, we decided to check out early because it simply was not the relaxing getaway we had hoped for. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this may be the place for you. But if you are hoping to relax, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful stay, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Walnut Beach is located right on a beach in Osoyoos. The suite we stayed in had a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. The receptionist who checked us in was very pleasant & efficient.

The only fault in my opinion is that the building is a bit noisy. We could hear the people above us & the plumbing sounds were quite loud as were the voices in the corridor outside the suite.

We stayed there for 3 nights. Great resort. Very well maintained. Comfortable beds. Our room kitchenette had everything what we needed. Friendly staff. Lactation is good. Definitely recommended. We will be back.

We stayed as a family. Generally while in Osoyoos we have stayed elsewhere and wanted to give this resort a try. I will elaborate on the Pro's and Con's . Pro's easy check in and out. great pool temperature . Hot tub is great. Rooms are good. Beds are comfortable The resort itself had fun games to play and overall was enjoyable.. Con's. as a 4* resort we did not expect several things. On arrival we had tv issues right out of the gate. The restaurant while nice was grossly understaffed. The people that were working were stressed out and the place was barely ever open. Without having a place to eat it would have been nice for this place to have a cafe , or some type of other options. the lack of availability for the restaurant was not great at all The dishwasher , tv and parking garage door all were having issues during our stay. we chalked it up to several updates and upgrades neea to be done. It's close enough quick drive to downtown. The staff were all nice. we had a nice time, but it felt like there were many things that need to be addressed.

Stayed here a few times and the experience was even better than previous trips. Wish they had earlier check in than 4:00. that’s my only complaint.

Beautiful Resort! GM Nidhi Seth was a gracious and caring host. The staff were very friendly and the service from the 49Pointe Restaurant was top-notch. This resort is cozy and nicely located in the quieter area of the lake. The pool and spa are inviting. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Some of the amenities are getting a bit old but not enough to bother us.

Room was clean and has almost all the things we needed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. we were given more than enough pillow which doesn't usually happen in hotels unless requested. The hotel provided kitchen utensils which came in very handy. Bathroom is very spacious and has ample amount of towels we didnt have to request for extra. We loved the heated pool. We enjoyed it so much.

We didnt get a chance to enjoy the hot tub as other groups just stayed there for so long like no other guests would like to use it. We were by the pool during our last evening and garbages were everywhere like empty plastic cups, etc.

Beautiful resort which is very well maintained. Lovely outdoor heated pool and hot tub open all year. Rooms are spacious with kitchen facilities in all.

Our girlfriend’s group stayed here last year. Great location, we loved drinking our coffee at the lake each morning. We golfed and wine toured. We would definately stay here again😁

Great lakeside hotel in an excellent location. The setting is quiet and relaxing, with modern facilities that are very clean and well maintained. The pool area is beautiful, and both the restaurant and bar are excellent. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.
