Good parking,Excellent breakfast, polite staff and hard working. Dining room laid out smartly everything needed.Comfy beds. Price excellent considering the breakfast is included.

Shower rooms very tired looking. Basically clean rooms but top of curtains dusty and cobwebs in shower room.

Excellent traditional English breakfast.

Breakfast was fine, the two gentlemen who ran it were polite and helpful.

The room was run-down, the taps in the bathroom totally chalked up so that you could barely turn them (room 17). Curtains dirty, generally poor quality fitments, toilet difficult to flush. Parking extremely difficult, very narrow and long access lane. Traffic noise relentless from 5am until 1am - double glazing ancient and inadequate. I would never stay there again, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

Cracked Window in Bedroom, noisy with traffic all night, bed was most uncomfortable, needed a new mattress, Toilet door didn’t shut properly, affording no privacy, getting to car park with large pot holes certainly doesn’t help your motor vehicle. Was offered new room for the next 2 nights, but declined the managements offer. Would not stay again

Das Umfeld .Es roch auf dem Wege ins Zentrum, welches fußläufig in ca 10 bis 15 Minuten erreichbar ist ,immer wieder mal nach Hasch . Obdachlose Menschen waren auch stark präsent. Unser Auto wurde nacht's aufgebrochen. Einiges gestohlen. Die Polizei die den Vorgang aufnahm wollte sich nochmals per Mail melden. Warte immer noch darauf. Hatten 3 Stunden auf die Spurensicherung gewartet die Morgens kommen sollte .Nach 3 Stunden warten sind wir dann weitergefahren. Eine telefonische Kontaktaufnahme kam nicht zustande. Alles in allem würde ich dort nicht mehr in dem Hotel buchen.

The staff are so helpful and friendly! Stayed here a few times now to visit family. Needed and iron and hair dryer and they addressed very quickly. Very good value for money to rest your head! We shall be back.

Great location and facilities and for the money, you can't get any better. Fantastic breakfast too and very nice staff. Room had everything you need and very comfortable.

Got an old aesthetic going but that doesn't mean it's bad although a little modernisation would go far. Only actual issue is parking as there is not enough for those staying so if you plan to go out and come back after 7-8pm then there is no parking. There are a couple streets within a 2-3 minute walk of the hotel so it was not the biggest issue. You can park outside the front but it is typically full already but you may get lucky. Also, the parking is always closed with a gate so if you did want to park, you would have to drive round back, leave your car, walk to the front and open the gate yourself. A key for those staying would go a long way.

Booked this for the Moto GP as it was cheap and within 25 minutes on motorcycle to Silverstone circuit. It was clean and well worth the money.

The whole place was in need of a little TLC. I had to ask for towels, there were none in the room. There was no control of the shower water temperature, the water was too hot to stand under. The light over the bathroom mirror was not working.

My bed mattress, really needed an upgrade, had spring digging in back. I had other friends staying there and they all had decent mattresses. If they sorted the beds that would be make the stay even better. I’d happily go back.

Cheap, but for a reason

Room very smelly of cigarettes and damp, cling to clothes. Despite it stating there was, there was no hairdryer, we went for a wedding and I had to forgo a shower because I had no means of drying my hair, usually would not be a problem. Car park unusable as it was either blocked, gates closed and the track to it so poorly maintained.

We loved staying here, the staff were so friendly and genuine. There was a really great atmosphere and they took great pride in making sure our needs were met.

Location close to town at a great price ! a lovley breakfast all included in the price , the free secured parking was perfect for us, they had friendly welcoming staff , clean and tidy rooms and entrance. Good honest accommodation . Loved the free WiFi .

The rooms are a little tired and need an update as do the bathrooms. The doors need buffers as they slam shut with a bang ,this was only in the morning so would not worry me too much .

Not expected the breakfast offered would be such delicious and variety. Its a good english breakfast treat by the kind lady and the gentleman ( Sorry could not take names ).

Family of 5, we had a late check in, and stayed in the Family room. Beds were comfortable and honestly had the best sleep after a 26 hour flight. Breakfast in the morning was beyond generous, and cooked perfectly. Owners were very friendly and nice. I would happily stay here again if I ever found myself back here in future, in the area. Thank you again.

Only issue we found was the parking for the night, other than that, completely fine! (Car park was closed over and no parks were available, however free parking is great).

My husband and i has usedthis hotel often , we find it to be good with easy access to several location. The rates are reasonable , staff is friendly. Breakfast is very good also.

Toilet ages to flush, crack in room walls.. spiders took 3 Times to open room door. Was fold where our room was not show or told we had to go upstairs. Dirty water in kettle.

The bed was comfortable in a relatively quiet room at rear of property. Secure small car park on a first come, first served basis. Lovely breakfast. Good secure WiFi. Adequate amount of power sockets. No shortage of storage.

Poor lighting in the room. Towels are too thin and not large enough. Notice on back of door typed in black font (10pt or 12pt) on red paper. Unfortunately no overhead lighting meant information was difficult to read, so phone torch helped a little. Desk lamp required also.

It was in a good location for our purposes and the car park was very secure. The breakfast was very good. The shower was great and there was a generous allocation of teas and coffees.

The room was very warm, we should have opened a window (but we were on ground floor) and the plastic mattress protector made for a sweaty nights sleep.

The furnishing and cleanliness of the rooms could be improved a little.

The reviews I read were spot on. The hotel is maybe a little tired but it was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent. Secure parking to boot. What's not to like.

The toilet was not clean, there were stains all over the desk, there were dusty cobwebs coming down from the ceiling and the toilet door was held open with a piece of toilet paper. Unsure but I believe there is mould all over the bathroom ceiling? Staff were not easy to converse with for a refund request.

We liked the old fashioned hotel. Felt like we stepped back in time. The brothers who ran the hotel were very efficient and helpful.

If you review this on price over quality it has to be a 10. Ok, the hotel could really do with a facelift and modernisation, but I'm sure then the price would double. Breakfast was for me okay, my husband ate everything! There was plenty of choice and we didn't have to wait too long for hot food. Room was okay it had nearly everything we needed the fridge was unexpected, decor is in need of redoing as with the furniture. As we were only staying 3 nights we didn't unpack. Room was clean but more attention to detail needed, however after chatting with the owners we understood that things get missed as they do everything themselves and have been for years. We admire their dedication to keep going. The hotel suited our needs for our stay. Would we choose to stay again? Probably not as we would prefer to be nearer the event we attended. Pillows needed replacing as they were flat also maybe pillow protectors would be a good idea? Bed linen was clean and fresh it was nice to have a fan in the room as it was extremely hot, the window was left slightly open, however traffic noise was very noisy but that is not under the control of the owners.

Attention to detail of cleaning and hotel could do with a complete refurbish. Its looking a tired and dated. Track at back of hotel leading to parking was bumpy and full of pot holes.

Our room was spacious bed was comfortable, nice bay window. Staff was pleasant and accommodating as we arrived super late due to travelling was no issue with that. was a lovely stay.

Could have done with a lamp in room and kettle didn’t work but the owner brought tea jug for use. Also breakfast being only from 7:30-8:30 wasn’t ideal especially after travelling 6 hours needed to sleep would of been better till 9 or 9-30 for guest that are not up so early so I didn’t get breakfast as work 8:17. The parking was very tight getting in and out of the hotel.

Simple and decent for its price. Quiet and clean. Breakfast was excellent and filling. You do have cereal, juice and an English breakfast and they were good with the table service. Be aware that there's no lift as mentioned.

A lot of broken things in room ie light on wall, toilet roll holder, towel rail and the chair. I also lost a power pack and a fan between the room and the carpark (dont try and get to this as very deep potholes on a gravel track) i went back 2 days later to ask for them and was told that the owner had see said items in the car park and couldnt be bothered to pick them up and put them in lost property, the items cost more than my stay. It wasnt very clean and when the owner is to lazy to pick up guests lost property includimg another guests tablet that i heard while checking in, unless you wamt your stuff to go missing. Avoid. It cheap for a reason as they are proberly subcerdizing the rates with an ebay account selling your stuff.

Set us up for the day and was included in the price. Staff were friendly and polite, clearly work very hard. Room was basic and dated furniture/decor but clean and comfortable. We’re only sleeping there so it doesn’t matter what the curtains etc look like in my opinion. Very reasonable price for a perfect location, comfy bed, substantial breakfast and friendly staff. What more can you ask for?!

A little noise from the room next door but didn’t bother me too much as I used earplugs. Pillows are flat but folded in half it was fine.

It was quiet and the bed was comfy. Room was quite big too and I had a nice patio in the car park area.

The room was filthy, dusty, mouldy and I found someone's pants in the drawers. The road to the car park was full of pot holes and the staff closed the gate so I couldn't park my car and had to go in and ask. There was also a lack of confidentiality and I was showed other people's info in a data book and the patio door on the room wouldn't lock.

Access to the car park was a little confusing. Also no fridge in our room. And could have had a bit more milk in room for at least for 1 day. But over all we enjoyed our stay

It was easy to find. Host was pleasant. Bed was fine. Room was clean. Good power shower. Breakfast very good and plenty. We found a good curry house nearby.

1.Finding the track that led to the hotel car park was not apparent it was for our hotel - badly signed, we guessed and followed an overgrown and dingy track around the back of the terrace that was narrow. I feared for my hire car. We entered fortified gates to the car park which was really not big enough for the number of cars. The next night I parked on the road nearby. 2.My pillows were flat as a pancake. 3. The noisy,clanking, fortified gates were opened for patrons a few times during the night which happened to be right outside my bedroom, disturbing my sleep.
