The location is definitely outstanding.. but that really doesn't stand out as all properties on the island have similar locations

The attitude and temperament of the staff.. given that they are in the hospitality business, the staff were were borderline unacceptable..especially the service staff at the outdoor restaurant.. The first day, we proceeded for dinner and walked in at 9.25 pm.. the last at the check-in, rudely & abruptly tells us that" you've got 25 minutes to finish your meal.. " That was it !! This just took all the excitement away from the trip.. next when the kids ordered, she and her colleagues stood there staring and giggling.. Pathetic !! Never have i EVER experienced such demeanor from people who are trained top be hospitable.. it demeans the whole attitude of the Thai Hospitality industry.

Great resort, Great beach, Great food, Great facilities. The stuff was amazing! especially MIN and RAM. Breakfast was great, Restaurants were very good and we had wonderful time!

If I have to find something, is that some mornings we had to wait 10-15 min for a table at breakfast on the beach restaurant. But it's worth the wait!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The breakfast was rich, varied, and very high quality. The cleanliness throughout the property was excellent, the room was spacious and exactly as described, the pool was large and very clean, and all the outdoor areas were beautifully maintained and well organized. The hotel restaurant was also excellent throughout the day, with great food and very good service. Above all, the staff were amazing. We received exceptional service everywhere and at all times, with kindness, patience, and a genuine willingness to help. We would especially like to mention Leo, who was absolutely wonderful, professional, warm, and gave us outstanding service during our stay.

There were only a few things we liked less. The spa is quite expensive, and for that price we expected more complimentary facilities or services, such as a jacuzzi or sauna. Also, the hotel location is a little remote, and it would have been very helpful if the hotel offered a free shuttle service to central areas such as Chaweng or Fisherman’s Village.

Es gibt keine Wohnbereiche mit Meerblick.

The hotel was lovely, and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast had a great choice and was open early so if you had a tour planned that picked you up at 7:30am, you could duck down and grab something. I don't have kids so having the option of the adult quiet pool was great. If you wanted an all-in-one place to stay, this would be a great option. Everything that you could possible want is here in the resort.

I had read this in previous reviews, this place is very secluded and there's not even a shop close by. Theres no issues with grabbing a cab, but it would have been nice to have something close. It wasn't really an issue though.

Es gab abends verschiedene Programme, die alle extra kosteten. Auch die Massagen waren sehr teuer, ebenso der Wäscheservice. In 10 Minuten Fahrt erhielt man all dies für einen Drittel des Preises in unseren Augen ebenfalls qualitativ sehr gut. Kinderclub war sehr klein und der Raum dunkel. Unsere Tochter fühlte sich da nicht wohl und ging nicht hin. Sonst keine expliziten Angebote für Kinder.

Our Garden Pool Villa was comfortable with our small plunge pool. Staff were friendly. The gardens & pool areas were lovely & that view was amazing. Breakfast was included & was plentiful.

Check in needs streamlining. Our room was looking tired, the sliding doors that was our access into the room didn’t close properly. We would not recommend the Garden Pool Villa as it is on the ground floor with a room above & a interconnecting door to another room right next to the bed which is not soundproofed, for our 4 night stay we either had noise from the room next to the bed or noise from children running across the floor above or people moving furniture!! We had an evening meal at the The View Restaurant & the Red Duck Curry, the 4 slices of duck in the curry was so tough I couldn’t even cut through it, I complained but nothing was done & we were still charged, approximately $150Aud for a very average meal.

Alles super. Zimmer sauber, bequemes Bett, ruhig. Super Empfang mit willkommensgetränk und Eiscreme, erfrischungstuch und blumen, sehr freundliches Personal. 2 Pools, 1 f. Erwachsene und 1 grosses Pool am Beach. Schöner Strand, sauber, in einer Bucht. Es hat ein einfaches strandrestaurant nebenan. Das Essen...ein Traum. 5 Sternen absolut gerechtfertigt! Riesiges Frühstücksbuffet. Tagsüber Snacks erhältlich, 2 Restaurants 1x Thai. Sehr fein! Happy hour 2x täglich. Lohnt sich bei cocktails. Um etwas zu unternehmen muss man ein Transportmittel haben. Wir sind zu Fuss zum Tempel gelaufen, was aber schon 3/4 stunden entfernt liegt. Aber gute Gelegenheit aus anderer Perspektive zu erleben.!

Für Thailand recht teuer. Dafür ist das Essen sehr gut!

Mooie locatie, 15 minuten van het vliegveld, over het algemeen vriendelijk personeel. Goed eten, mooi uitzicht bij de restaurants over de zee, alles goed betaalbaar, vriendelijke bediening bij het zwembad. Kamers schoon en netjes.

De ontvangst bij aankomst was echt slecht. De manager van de receptie is vooral met zichzelf bezig, druk met andere dingen en geeft je geen welkom gevoel. De WiFi kan echt beter. Telkens opnieuw aanmelden en slecht bereik. Onderhoud van de kamers is 90% en zou 100% moeten zijn. Kleine dingen maar wel teveel kleine dingen.

Location was quiet and private. Beach was private and nice. Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Beds and rooms were very high quality

Sehr schönes Hotel, dass wie schon von anderen erwähnt, ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist. (Während unseres Aufenhalts, wurde bei einer Villa bauarbeiten vorgenommen, ich nehme an, sie starten mit Renovierungsarbeiten) Sehr schöne Anlage und sehr grün! Toller Pool am Strand, tolle Bucht, fühlt sich sehr Privat und ruhig an. Das Personal war durchgehend sehr freundlich und aufmerksam!! Essen war sehr gut, sehr grosses frühstücksbuffet und gute Auswahl an Getränken und Eierspeisen (Frisch zubereitet) Themen-Dinner waren gut. Vorallem beim gehoberen Restaurant oben bei der Reception. Spa Bereich auch sehr gut, tolle Massagen und Treatments. Viele Angebote für Entspannung und Erholung. Zimmer sehr schön und sauber! Sehr sehr bequemes Bett und eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Kissen!

Ein bisschen abgelegen, dafür sehr angenehm ruhig und mit dem Taxi ist man gut und schnell an den gewünschten Orten auswärts.

Aussergewöhnliches Ressort. Tolles, überaus freundliches Personal. Ruhige Lage. Hervorragendes Essen. Perfektes Villen-Zimmer für 4 Personen.

Our room had a weird smell and so did our friends room, the bathroom also had no door on the toilet which made it hard for a whole family to be functional in the room.

Great hotel! Stayed for 9 nights with kids in the villa with pool. We really enjoyed the facilities - villa pool, main pool, great beach, gym, beach activities, and more! The staff were super friendly, and the food was great!

Location is a bit far - so that’s an advantage if you want more quiet and seclusion, but a little hassle to take a 10 min taxi each time you need something and there is no 7/11 close enough by walking.

The pool and the beach were great. Lovely spacious rooms. They had a good spread for breakfast. And very polite staff.

One of the people at the reception the night we arrived. He felt a bit stand offish. Asked him for extra towels, and he did not ensure they got sent to us.

Nice quiet beach and the serenity pool was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful. I love that you don’t need to queue up for your egg order. Lovely friendly staff.

Room was very spacious but it was not the most practical design. For example, there were no drawers other than a couple that were at ground level. The light switches were too far from the bed side tables. The location of the hotel meant you needed a cab even if you are just going to the next beach. The hotel seemed a little dated and the electricity in our room stopped working multiple times although our children’s room was fine.

The accommodation was comfortable, clean, making our stay truly relaxing. Ein wirklich tolles Hotel! Der Service war durchweg herzlich und aufmerksam, besonders das Zimmermädchen hat einen fantastischen Job gemacht. Die Zimmer waren jeden Tag makellos sauber inklusive turndown service. Cappuccino beim Frühstück war gut. Die Lage ist ruhig und entspannend, perfekt zum Abschalten. Mein Highlight war der Sand am Strand. Fein, sauber und traumhaft, wie man ihn selten auf der Insel findet.

The room was clean but suffered from ants and dirt that was left one of the doors, Staff was efficient and formal, but less warm and welcome as we felt in other places we stayed in

We enjoyed our stay overall. The hotel is in a beautiful beachfront location, and the beach itself was lovely. The breakfast offered a good selection, and the pool villa was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and the garden was very nice.

There were a few things that could be improved. We found a large cockroach in our villa one evening. We understand that this is a tropical island and insects can occasionally enter, especially in standalone villas, but the doors did not seem to seal very well, which may have contributed. We only had dinner once and the staff gave us conflicting information. We were initially told that the dishes could be prepared with little or no spice. However, when we specifically requested a dish with no spice at all, it arrived extremely spicy, and we were then told that this particular dish could not actually be made mild. It would have been helpful if this had been explained before ordering. We had a pool villa and didn't use the private pool at all, as it didn't seem the cleanest. The air conditioning was loud and the hotel overall seemed dated.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The beachfront is absolutely beautiful, and we spent many enjoyable hours swimming in the sea. Both swimming pools are excellent, and the tropical gardens are beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful, quiet, and truly paradise-like atmosphere. Our room was spotless throughout the stay, spacious, well-equipped, and featured a large, beautiful bathroom. The breakfast and dinner offerings were generous and varied. One thing that could be communicated more clearly during booking is that dinner is generally served à la carte rather than as a buffet. However, the hotel organized themed buffet evenings every couple of days, which gave guests the opportunity to try a wider range of dishes. The resort is conveniently located near the northern Buddhist temples, but most other attractions on Koh Samui require a longer journey. We were also surprised by how expensive taxi services are on the island.

The only aspect we did not particularly appreciate was the pricing of drinks at the hotel, which felt high even by European or American standards, let alone for Thailand. In addition, a service charge is already included, so we were occasionally unsure about the local expectations regarding additional tipping.

Our family loved the pool overlooking the beach. It’s easy to spend hours there at any time of the day. The breakfast was exceptional and 2 great restaurants to eat at! The staff were so accommodating and welcoming.

No other restaurants or convenience stores in walking distance.

We had the most incredible week at Melati Beach Resort and truly didn’t want to leave. Staying in a Pool Villa Suite was absolutely worth it—the space was generous, beautifully designed, and having our own private pool felt like pure luxury. One of the standout features was the daily cleaning service, including maintenance of our pool. It made the stay feel extra indulgent and we were completely spoilt the entire time. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely, always going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Their friendliness really added to the overall experience. We were a group of 16, and the resort catered perfectly to us. Happy hour each day became a highlight—such a fun way to come together, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This trip was exactly what we needed—a chance to disconnect, slow down, and reset. Melati gave us the space and serenity to do just that. We loved everything about our stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend the Pool Villa Suite for anyone wanting a truly special, luxurious getaway.

The property was outstanding and very secluded. Staff incredibly welcoming, accommodating and friendly throughout our stay. Special mention to Tommy and Alvin (Had his first day as a pool waiter our first full day). They were extremely nice and professional. The room was outstanding in a clean and comfortable setting. Really liked the swing in the front of our room. Restaurants were very nice with the breakfast buffet being excellent. Pool and beach were pristine (even though it was low tide entire time). Memorable stay.

Just a little far from everything or even a 7/11 but also what happens with that much seclusion. TV could have been a Smart TV so that guests could you streaming devices during stay.

Zu weitläufig (hatten eine der am weitesten vom Pool entfernten Villen), nur bedingt Privatssphäre in der geteilten Villa (man hat die anderen Hotelgäste deutlich gehört), Rezeption nur über steile Treppe erreichbar, Preis-Leistung war im Vergleich zum vorherigen Hotel deutlich schlechter.

We loved our stay here for our honeymoon! The resort is beautiful, the spa is nice, the staff are friendly. The breakfast buffet was incredible as well.

Not really a bad thing, but it’s pretty secluded and far from the main town. They do have a shuttle service to take you there though. Didn’t really affect us as we only stayed at the resort.

The staff were wonderful. Beautiful grounds and had a lovely chat with Simon the proprietor who really cares that you enjoy your stay. The food and selection was great and they have little buggies you can call to drive to the beach/reception/room at any time. Its a bit off the beaten track so its relaxing but also close enough if you want to go into the busier areas to explore. All the tours I did collected from this hotel. I will be back! Cant wait!

As a veggie it would have been great to have clearer labelling on vegetarian foods at breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant.

Fantastic experience. The staff were super helpful and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for you. The pool villa was great size, high quality and lots of space. The main pool had a great view, restaurant right next to it, so great for breakfast lunch or dinner. good food/vibe. BBQ on the beach on Saturday night with a fire show. Easy shuttle/pick up from airport. Can also order food to the room which was handy. Easy to order a Grab taxi to close by attractions

The location is perfect for a relaxing beach/pool holiday away from the crowds. The gardens are beautiful. The villa with a private pool is delightful. The staff are very friendly. A very well run hotel.

Localização longe de tudo, primeiros serviços a 20 minutos a pé. Zona de praia fraca, rochosa, mar pelos joelhos. Decidimos interromper a estadia após uma noite e mudar de hotel. Quando questionamos acerca do reembolso disseram para falar com o booking, logo de seguida tivemos de assinar um documento contra reembolso. Mais tarde o booking disse que era com o alojamento que não reembolso. Não foi de encontro às expectativas.

They have not refunded £64 taken for room charges despite being asked repeatedly. We booked 2 single beds and didn’t get them until we complained. There was noisy construction work. When we booked breakfast was included but we were then talked there was a charge. The amount we were charged increased from that shown on booking. Com. Had to get taxis everywhere

Our room was with privet pool, but we hadn’t used it cause wasn’t clean. The design of the room is too old and the facilities there seem so old and over used.

Everything is thoughtfully designed, housekeeping was impeccable every day. Sleeping was very comfortable.
