Sehr freundliches Personal und eine sehr gute Lage mitten in der Altstadt. Besonders interessant war es, in einem so alten venezianischen Gebäude zu übernachten – das gehört definitiv zum gesamten Erlebnis dazu.

Das alte Gebäude hat, wie zu erwarten, keinen Aufzug. Das sollte man vor allem einplanen, wenn man mit einem großen Koffer anreist. Außerdem riecht das Gebäude stellenweise etwas nach einem alten Haus, was aufgrund des Alters des Gebäudes aber nicht überraschend ist.

La ubicaión estaba perfecta; en la habitación una de las camas estaba armada en una especie de nicho y eso era desagradable; el desayuno muy completo y rico.

deben aclarar, es MUY IMPORTANTE que digan que para ir a las habitaciones hay que hacerlo por escalera. De haberlo sabido no íbamos allí, más siendo que la que nos dieron estaba en el segundo piso. Tengo problemas en las rodillas y una de las cosas que me indicaron es evitar las escaleras, tener que subirlas y bajarlas varias veces al día es muy incómodo, y entiendo que no solo por mi problema, a mi familia también le molestó. De hecho nos fuimos al día siguiente a otro hotel.

What a lovely experience! The interiors are beautiful and unique. My bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were so kind, warm, and thoughtful. The bathroom is completely updated. I stayed in room #2.

Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Coffee was made to order the way you liked it. Fresh orange juice and a variety of breakfast dishes - both hot and cold.

We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs but the staff helped carry our bags. Next time I would specify that I wanted a lower floor since I am a senior.

Najbardziej przyjazne osoby na recepcji oraz cała obsługa. Wszystkie panie oraz panowie bardzo serdeczni oraz pomocni. Budynek oraz wyposażenie są bardzo urocze a dodatkowo dla mnie bardzo ważnym elementem jest czystość. Pomimo, że hotel znajduje się w sercu Chanii jest bardzo cicho. Ponadto wszędzie blisko: kilka kroków do kawiarni, restauracji oraz pięknej zatoki ale także na stację autobusową, skąd autobusy dowoziły nas na plaże za kilka euro.

Nie było takiej rzeczy, ten hotel jest świetny, jedynie nie polecam dla osób, które mają problemy z poruszaniem się.

Er vriendelijk welkom geheten en meteen veel informatie over de stad gekregen. Kamer was erg netjes; mooie verhouding tussen oude stijl met nieuwe badkamer. Locatie was perfect, alles op loopafstand van het hotel. Lekker ontbijt, leek eerst wat klein aanbod maar hebben eigenlijk alles wat je wilt hebben en kwaliteit is hoog.

Great location - walkable to everywhere and especially the great old port and they beautiful view and location.

Room was very small - I think we had the smallest room available so it was just bad luck. Other rooms looked more spacious. We had a sea view and view of lighthouse though.

Friendly staff

The hotel is located in the Old Town; there are many bars, restaurants, and places to visit nearby. It is a building with a historic appearance; both the building itself and the street and neighborhood where it is situated are truly impressive. The staff are extremely helpful and polite.

What I have written here is more of an assessment of the situation than a list of the hotel's downsides; if you arrive with the right expectations, you won't be disappointed. The hotel is located in a pedestrian-only zone, and the building has no elevator. You have to park your vehicle outside the Old Town and walk in, and finding a parking spot is a major challenge. While the charm of the Old Town might compensate for this during short stays, it can be exhausting during longer visits—especially after a tiring day—to have to search extensively for a parking spot and then walk back to the hotel.

We loved our stay here! The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and tours. They even saved our day by informing us about the weather conditions at some of the tourist spots, which helped us adjust our plans. A special thank you from me and my friends for letting us cut our watermelon in your kitchen – it was such a kind gesture and we really appreciated it. The location was also perfect. Although the surrounding streets in the Old Town were lively and noisy at night, this street was peaceful, so we could enjoy a quiet and relaxing sleep after a day of exploring. They were also amazing at accommodating our wishes. Every morning they kindly brought an extra table outside on the street so we could enjoy our breakfast in a beautiful atmosphere and start our day in the best way. We also truly appreciated that they prepared our breakfast to take away for our early morning tours. This small but thoughtful gesture showed how much they cared about their guests and made our experience even more enjoyable.

The only minor inconvenience was that reaching the third floor with our suitcases was a little challenging, but it was absolutely worth the effort. The beautiful view of the Chania harbour and lighthouse from our room made up for it completely.

The location is perfect, the room was comfortable but what truly makes this place stand out are the staff. Everyone was very kind, welcoming and hardworking.

The location was perfect in old town Chania. It is homey and beautiful. We also loved how it was in a quiet section of old town as well!

The only downside was stairs, but even then I’d take them everyday for everything else the property was. Totally worth it.

It is a lovely old building in the heart of the old town and the rooms are traditional which is nice. The breakfasts were very tasty too.,

We were on the top floor and there are 66 steep stairs to get there - narrow, curved and not very well lit so it was an effort to get up to the room, then there wete 10 more stairs from our room up to the bed!

The staff were wonderful - genuinely friendly, accommodating and helpful and made us feel at home. The building itself is historic and interesting, which made for a lovely stay. Location is great. Breakfast was very good, with coffee made to order.

The hotel has steep stairs so likely wouldn’t be suitable for someone with mobility issues. Doorframe to bathroom is low for tall people.

Absolutely wonderful! Everything about Puerto Del Colombo is perfection. The staff could not be more helpful in travel arrangements, sightseeing, Tours, restaurant recommendations, shopping recommendations, etc. The staff is wonderful and kind. Fluent in English. The hotel is historic but well-maintained. Extremely clean, modern bathroom accommodations. Great water pressure. Daily housekeeping. Wonderful breakfast. Cappuccinos, lattes, all coffees. Fresh orange juice. Hot foods. Eggs and breakfast meats. Fresh fruit. Cereals, yogurt, etc. definitely recommend and hope to return again.

Hotel was historic and characterful, individually furnished. Quiet room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly owner and staff. Very clear directions about how to access hotel at night. Lovely welcome drink.

The city is a harbor, and some odors occasionally emanate from the pipes. It's a common occurrence, though mildly unpleasant.

For future guests it is important to note that we had 62 stairs up to our room from the reception area, and then in addition, our bed was up a flight of steps on a mezzanine level. Just something to consider as it may not suit all. Being an older property, it has a darker feel due to the older smaller windows.

The location was great. The room was very comfortable, the decor was wonderful and bathroom very nice and clean. Flora, the evening host was very nice. She have us great recommendations for sites and restaurants. She even prepared a bag breakfast for our very early departure. Roula the day host was very helpful and friendly as well. We would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Chania.

What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location in the Old Town of Chania. Spacious, comfortable & extremely clean rooms. The super friendly & lovely staff made our stay even more wonderful. The room was excellent, it was huge! Basic but more than enough for a couple of days stay… it was very comfortable. We were on the first floor, the staff were faultless and they made us the most delicious picnic for our day when we went to the Samaria Gorge! It’s so close to the centre/water front but quite all the same. No disturbances from outside.

The breakfast was alright, nothing too exciting and perhaps time might be better off finding somewhere in the town.

The hotel is located very close to the Venetian port and the rooms are decorated considering the age and history of the property. All the staff we met were welcome and helpful. We loved the nicely equipped showers and the plentiful breakfast.

We had a room with a view over the Venetian port and that meant climbing some steep stairs up to the third floor. We admired the ladies working at the hotel who were able to do it without breaking any sweat at all!😀

Établissement sans ascenseur et jusqu’au dernier étage (3eme) ce n’était pas toujours facile, mais ça fait faire de l’exercice. La literie mériterait d’être changée, pas confortable du tout.

The room was beautiful, spotless clean, very nice facilities, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly with all our needs and gave us excellent recommendations. Would definitely visit again next time.

Mind the stairs going to the hotel, and in the hotel. It is not a negative, on the contrary it give the building and the town its architectural beauty, but it may be a bit challenging for families with small children.

Centrally located. Right in the old port. Close to the water.

We arrived at 8 pm. By car. I tried getting close to drop off luggage. It was impossible. I left my wife in the car while I ventured on foot to see where the hotel was situated. The distance and the flood of tourists on the streets was astonishing. I couldn’t see how I would drag my luggage through the cobblestone streets through the crowds to the hotel. In the end we left our car and luggage in the car over night and walked on foot to the hotel. Once we found the hotel it was past 11 pm. Hotel staff had left. The key was left in a lock bock. This was seamless. We learned that being on the top floor ment climbing four flights , up and down every time you needed something. In the morning with the crowds gone we slowly brought our luggage back to the hotel and up the flights of stairs. The last mention is that the room was too small with very please to put toiletry and bags.

The location is perfect to be in the old town port area. The staff was very accommodating. I had two early morning tours and they packed a breakfast for me to take along on the tour. All of the staff was terrific from directions and restaurant recommendations to arrange for a taxi for to and from the hotel. I definitely recommend and if I return to Chania this is where I would stay. As an FYI no elevator but I believe that is the norm for this area of town. 10 +++ rating. Charming and authentic. Superb Greek hospitality.

We were greeted by a beautiful lady Roula who made us feel at home and treated us like family. Flora who also was another staff member always went above and beyond to help us just like Roula. The staff made our stay the best and the owners of this property should be very proud of the excellent service these ladies provide as it would not be the same without Roula and Flora. Roula was so warm and helpful and we actually thought Roula was the owner. Roula helped us organise excursions and packed us a breakfast box to take to our excursion. Roula advised of best travel options which were always economical and in our best interests. Flora always provided wonderful referrals of best places to eat which always exceeded our expectations. It was definately the staff that made our stay with Porto Del Colombo exceptional. The beautiful old building gave us a very good experience felt very homely and location was the best only steps into old town. Thank you wonderful ladies for making our stay one to be remembered forever.

Wonderful people working at the hotel. Very beautiful, very authentic and yet comfortable environment. Soft beds, cold AC, nice liquor in the room. Antique, well-crafted furniture throughout the room and in the lobby. Books left by visitors on a bookcase one floor above the reception. Breakfast was hearty with strong espresso and unique jams and pastries and fresh bread and meats and salads and fruit and fresh juice. The location also is quite magical. Cobbled walkways wind around, you might find fig trees growing among ruins. Pick them! You can walk to beaches or right into the bustle of the old city.

This place was amazing. Never met as nice staff in the 20 days I've been in greece. They will pack breakfast for you, help you out any way they can. They give you beach towels. The breakfast was fabulous and the room was awesome. I would definitely come back. The bed was super comfy.

Well maintained 700 year old building. The staff was very helpful at check in and secured a taxi for our departure time as they have limited # of taxis in Chania on the morning of our departure. Excellent coffee and a big and varied amount of food that was very tasty at breakfast. Very pleased.

Κατ" αρχάς, μας άρεσε το εξαιρετικά ευγενικό προσωπικό που ήταν πρόθυμο να μας βοηθήσει σε ό,τι ζητούσαμε, από πληροφορίες για την πόλη, για εκδρομές, για την ιστορία του κτηρίου μέχρι και πρωινό σε πακέτο, όταν έπρεπε να φύγουμε νωρίς από το ξενοδοχείο. Δεύτερον, νιώσαμε περήφανοι που μείναμε σε ένα ιστορικό κτήριο της παλιάς πόλης των Χανίων. Η ατμόσφαιρα, τα έπιπλα, οι πίνακες και τα αντικείμενα μας μετέφεραν σε άλλη εποχή. Τρίτον, η θέση του ξενοδοχείου ήταν εξαιρετική για βόλτες στην παλιά πόλη. Δεν θα μπορούσα να παραλείψω να αναφέρω το όμορφο καλωσόρισμα που μας περίμενε: λουκουμάκι και τοπικό λικέρ. Επίσης, το πρωινό είχε μπουφέ με φρεσκότατα κρητικά προϊόντα και όλες οι χαμογελαστές κυρίες του ξενοδοχείου μας ετοίμαζαν όποιο ρόφημα επιθυμούσαμε.

Location right down in the city center and nicely decorated hotel. The room was stunning and decorated in colonial style. The breakfast room is similarly nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet is adequate and the staff was very friendly.

The room comprised of two (small) single beds pushed together.

Property was centrally located in the harbour side and the staff was amazing. One of the best hospitality! All the staff at the breakfast reception team made the stay comfortable and welcoming!

It was a heritage property but the amenities like the blankets pillows etc could be upgraded . There is no duvet or a fluffed blanket - there are clean sheets one thick one thin that’s it There is a peculiar smell of the old carpets and no elevators. The room furniture made no sense - less room for luggage even after the room was large.
