Parkside International Hotel

Very clean, peaceful, and comfortable place. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and nicely sized, giving our little baby plenty of room to move around and relax. Everything was comfortable, and we truly loved our stay. We would definitely be happy to stay here again! ❤️

Staff were lovely. Public areas were clean. Food was good quality.

People were smoking in their rooms and my room smelled of smoke There were many many workmen some of whom were standing shirtless smoking out of the window. I was approached by a random man for a lighter as I was eating my dinner alone in the restaurant. It didn't feel safe for a solo female business traveller.

Paper thin walls, could hear everything! Rooms very dated and decorative throw and curtains were disgustingly filthy and stained.

The room we were in was quite smelly (damp/mould), bath kept dripping which left stains in the tub and drain wasn’t the cleanest.

Outdated, bit dirty, no aircon in rooms, no minibars, extremely uncomfortable beds. Weird smell . Definitely not a “fabulous breakfast”- extremely small selection of food, dirty glasses, food it self was a cheapest quality as possible they could supply. Do not pay £13.50 as you will simply waste your money. Luckily it was only one night for us and that was enough.

Calm environment, friendly staff

24 hour check in was handy - and the hotel was in the perfect location for my trip. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was big and the bed comfortable, with a big tv, chairs and plenty of room for clothes and belongings.

The bathroom was spotless, clean and perfectly adequate with clean towels and toiletries provided, but the loo was a bit slow to flush and seat a bit wonky due to fitting into a small space - but no matter at all. Enjoyed a good shower in the morning.

The location was perfect for an event we attended at prospect park. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was good.

The room we stayed in had a smell of smoke. The hot weather meant the room was very hot and stuffy where 1 fan was supplied in the room. Our room only had 1 window that couldn’t open wide due to security restraints. Meant a very hot and stuffy nights sleep

We attended an event at Prospect Park and stayed here due to the location of the hotel to the venue. Plenty of parking available. Spacious double room with comfy bed.

Stayed in room on 3rd floor. Thankfully there is a lift. Room was very warm(we were in middle of heatwave) but hotel provided a fan. Bathroom needs renovating. No hot water in the morning for a shower. Breakfast wasn’t included in room rate.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past, but this will be my absolute last visit. The condition of Room was completely unacceptable: Safety & Flooring: The floor was uneven and felt structurally unsound, giving the impression it could give way underneath you. Hygiene & Pest Control: The bathroom was infested with silverfish, and the carpet was covered in dog hair. It was clearly not vacuumed or cleaned prior to check-in. The conditions were so off-putting that I couldn't even bring myself to make a cup of tea. Furniture Condition: The mattress is completely worn out and sags heavily in the middle, offering zero support. This property has gone severely downhill and suffers from a total lack of basic cleaning and maintenance. I will not be returning and cannot recommend staying here.

The location was brilliant although from the outside the two hotels next to each other both looked a bit deserted when we arrived.

Everything really. Was a stop over between adventure parks for us. Friendly happy staff. Great breakfast. Shower was a bit iffy but comfortable bed made up for that. 1 adult, 2kids family room.

Shower could do with a service but worked & hot water so no real complaints.

we really like this hotel as the room sizes are great especially travelling with our dog there is plenty of space to put his bed, a floor standing fan was provided in the room which was great (we did take our own as well anyway) the staff are always friendly and polite. the full English breakfast is always something I look forward to here.

the only negative is that the hotel says it is dog friendly but you can not take your dog into the dining room, so luckily they let us have room service and brought our breakfast up to us free of charge, my dog could not be left in our room if we went to breakfast without him because he would bark non stop. its a shame that there is not a little room of the side of the main dinning room where we could have breakfast with our dog.

The location I cannot fault which was a short drive to the city centre.

The room had no air conditioner despite the weather being extremely hot. We were given a room in a west wing where the sun set which meant it was hot. The fan in the room wasn't strong enough to give cool air plus it broke in half. The TV remote didn't work so you can't change a channel or turn the volume up or down. The mattress was so hard and the pillow stinks of someone's odour from the head. It's like when someone's sweaty head slept on it and the pillow never got washed. The pillow case is clean but the pillow itself underneath smelled bad. We couldn't sleep all night besauce of the heat. The fan was on and the windows were wide open but it wasn't enough to cool the room. It was a horrendous night. I made a vow to never sleeping in a hotel again after my experience. I'd go Airbnb all the way.

The location was perfect as I was visiting a family member are the local hospital. I arrived late in the evening and was able to get a drink in the bar to take to my room and had my water bottle filled with ice and water. The room was hot but with the weather so warm that was expected but there was a fan. The breakfast was perfect and lovely friendly staff

Very dated, needs a bit of TLC. Very stuffy in hot weather

We needed a convenient location with car parking and late / early entry / exit. This was good. Room size was large; facilities were basic but room was clean and did what we needed (provide bed / bathroom for 2 nights whilst prepping a flat). The bar area was clean and tidy; and bar prices were cheap compared to a branded hotel. The hotel looks like it is used by teams of tradesmen (plumbers, electricians, builders) from the number of vans in the car park and the dress of the people in the bar area.

The shower water was lukewarm and the water volume and shower / bath mixer controls were plumbed in the wrong way round.

The room was very dirty, the mattress sank so much you can feel the bed board and the throw had all sorts of stains on it including what looked like blood

Das Hotel ist maximal einen Stern und nicht drei wert. Es war brütend warm im Zimmer. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage. Nur ein Ventilator konnte wenigstens zum Luft bewegen genutzt werden. Im Badezimmer war es so heiß, dass man beim Reingehen Schweißausbrüche bekam. Es gab kein kaltes Wasser - nur lauwarm bis heiß. Das Badezimmer lag direkt am Aufzugschacht. Das Zimmer war schlecht isoliert, somit hat man von den Nachbarn alles gehört. Die Lage ist ziemlich außerhalb. Man hat einen längeren Fußweg in die Innenstadt. Alles in allem die schlechteste Unterkunft, in der ich jemals gewesen bin.

Biggest shit hole I have ever stayed in. The room smelled of weed, the curtains didn’t fit the windows so couldn’t close them, the chair was broken the bath panel was hanging off and was contemplating sleeping in my car. Was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and can honestly say will never stay there again. Shocking how they even have the cheek to charge £85 for a room in that state. If environmental went in there they would close them down.

Several stays over the past few months. Always the same experience: super friendly and professional staff, clean rooms, a peaceful, unpretentious atmosphere and an old-fashioned charm.

Huge room, plenty of free parking, great value for money.

A little tired looking and room had a faint cigarette smoke smell.

Good value base for me and my dog for 2 nights. Room was spacious and well presented and with good housekeeping. Dog friendly and a small charge of £10 for the dog for the stay. I didn’t use the bar or lounge or restaurant so can’t comment on those aspects.

The room looks dated and the walls are super thin. I heard a child screaming at 2.30am as she would have been next to me. Doors slamming and people talking in front of my room. The lights were not closed to the bed so you had to leave the bed to switch off. I had to switch off the TV from the plug as it wasn't working otherwise

The bed was awful, the worst I’ve slept on. So uncomfortable.

The team were all very welcoming, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was very good, perfectly cooked and piping hot. The location was perfect for the Care Home I was visiting.

The room 209 was a little shabby, cracks in the walls, the bathroom was clean but rundown. The beds were a little soft for us and the carpet was new.

Room was clean and whole property was clean and well kept.

Room got very warm overnight, may need a review on the aircon in the rooms if any.

The place absolutely smells of cannabis and it was also very noisy during the evening I was woken up multiple times during the night due to noise
