Poca señal de wifi, ya que mi estancia fue por trabajo, la habitación no contaba con ventilación o aire acondicionado. El personal del hotel malas maneras de dirigirse hacia mi persona; No me quisieron ayudar con mi facturación de mi estancia ya que fue por este medio Booking.

Que NO tengan espacio suficiente en su estacionamiento. No me dieron acceso. Según, que porque ya no tenían disponibilidad. Me parece que un Hotel como lo es Casa Mexicana, debería disponer de los espacios suficientes para que TODOS sus huéspedes pudieran contar con el servicio.

Pedí una factura para rendir el gasto y fue una pesadilla. Tuve que comunicarme muchas veces hasta que lograron explicar que pasaba. La gente de recepción es un 10 pero la administración debería atender mejor a personas extranjeras que no conocen el sistema tributario mexicano.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The breakfast was also a nice touch — simple but tasty and a great way to start the day. Highly recommended!

They’re fully aware of the issue but refuse to fix it, lacking proper WiFi extenders and equipment. This isn’t a general area problem—it’s purely neglect on their part. Past reviews mention the same issue, yet they’ve done nothing. Shameful. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Reviewed Mar 24, 2025The hotel is lovely with the classic colonial architecture and with a pretty indoor garden. The room was comfy, spacious and clean. The staff was nice and helpful. The internet connection was better than any other place I have stayed in San Cristóbal.
The bathroom was pretty small and was not as clean as I expected. The dryer didn't work properly and had mold inside it. Finally, it is not located on one of the main streets of the downtown and it is farther than expected from it.

Reviewed Feb 27, 2025Casa Mexicana is a beautiful colonial town house located in the Centro Histórico, two blocks from the Cathedral. After a friendly welcome we were shown to our room on the first floor. The room’s furnishings looked tired and much was in need of redecoration. Several of the electric sockets didn’t work and the window faced the inner courtyard. The sill was low and was a potential hazard if opened at night. The bed was comfortable but duvet very worn and lumpy. The room (No 16) was just above reception and had no insulation; we heard every word from people talking around reception or in the corridors outside. After our first (of four nights) the reception staff offered us an alternative room but it didn’t seem much of an improvement. Breakfast on three mornings was a buffet with a good choice. However if a large tour party ate early, eggs and other items were never replenished afterwards and allowed to stand around getting cold and dry. Our last day there was a delicious a la carte breakfast. Despite the shortcomings the staff were all charming and helpful and the hotel’s location is a big plus.
