We were room only but we were more than happy with it. Super comfy bed and top quality linen. Bathroom was okay and trim from shower fell off at one point but overall we were pleased with the room.

Lack of communication between staff. We arrived midday ish and said we would not be back to check in until late evening. We got a call from the hotel at 10 saying where are you as we lock up at 11. Also when we arrived the entrance area was full of luggage which made it resemble an assault course….

Beautifully looked after everything about it felt like luxury. Loved it.

We couldn't have stayed longer.

Room had a nice ambience, a little smaller than expected. Breakfast was a bit peremptory and we felt a bit rushed - just had the continental breakfast, which felt a bit 'measured'.

The location wasn't good - 20 minutes walk to the nearest restaurant.

la struttura è molto bella. la camera era piccolina ma davvero carina con una bella finestra a balconcino. il bagno davvero bello con una doccia grande. i prodotti che lasciano per lavarsi sono ottimi e hanno un asciugacapelli che funziona. disponibilità di parcheggiare in loco e gratis. hanno un bel angolo bar e si può fare colazione lì a pagamento. dietro hanno anche un giardinetto.

mancava il frigorifero in camera e non c’era l’ascensore.

Ideal location. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

Receiving a really small double bed in a tiny room in the basement. I have never been to a hotel before where they place guests in the basement (where there were in fact many rooms).

Only issue would be for price we paid a continental breakfast should of been included. It stayed in the guestbook that it was complimentary if you have booked the stay direct with hotel. When I looked by doing it direct I would of saved £50

Breakfast was expensive, but very nice

Bed was really, really short and narrow. I know I'm tall, but my feet were sticking out 30-40cm. Also had to spoon with my spouse, otherwise one of us would be on the floor. No Airconditioning. Bad water pressure. Standing in the tub you had to lean towards the shower head to be under it. Glass wall in the bathroom didn't stop the water from running out of the room. And to top it off the cleaning staff threw away my wives medication... when confronting the staff there was nothing they could do because "the cleaning staff has been with us for years"

Such a beautiful hotel, comfortable and quiet and very friendly and helpful staff.

No lift and we had so many stairs to climb . Very very basic , there was mouse poo on the table .outside . The fountain had no water and when asked why , they said they couldn’t be bothered to refill it !! Very misleading in the description . So disappointed with everything !

Lovely old property kept in keeping with its history but with modern additions. Excellent private parking for a vintage car, quiet area of Cheltenham. Staff cheerful and helpful, excellent breakfast.

The building itself is very fine

We were allocated a bedroom for two with a small double bed in a cramped room in the basement (lower ground floor). I asked if any other rooms were available. They weren’t. I would say that a couple have to be slim to be able to stay in what I was subsequently told was a “small” double bed.

Room a bit stuffy as window didn’t open. Very noisy wardrobe doors. Not really anywhere communal to sit, only the bar.

Hotel was spotless. Good location 10 mins walk into town. Friendly people for the area good night out.

Just one fault beds dint have head boreds. Pillows was slipping down back.

Gute Parkmöglichkeiten, nahe zum Zentrum, Frühstücksraum und Bar sehr hübsch.Sehr nettes Personal.

Etwa zehn der kleinen DZ sind im Souterrain mit kleinen Fenstern ohne nennenswerten Ausblick. „Kleine DZ“ sind wirklich klein, auch das Bad.

The room was just what I hoped for as it had a bath by the windows which meant we could enjoy the beautiful view of the Cotswold hills and countryside

Breakfast in a Lovely period Dining Room

Was a little further out of the Centre of Town than we realised. A good 30 minute walk to Montpellier. Water feature in rear garden is broken and full of stagnant water, not a good look !

The hotel is located close to, but far enough from the city centre so its calm and quiet. City centre was around a 15min walk from the hotel. Hotel is kept very clean which is always a bonus. Room size was decent. Very nice bar and outdoor space.

Bathroom could have done with a few more hanging hooks. Breakfast choice needs expanding.

Staff helpful and polite.

It was not value for money. Lacking on hot drunk choices, both in quality and availability. Which is a shame. We gad a strange pvc over large sofa in our room , which was definitely not needed. And the headboard / cushion was off a sofa from somewhere else . The kettle also did not work properly.

The hotel is a Victorian building with much charm. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast was good.

The lower window sashes in room 1 were loose in the frame and banged against the frame all night at different volumes and irregularly. As it was a windy night, there was little chance of getting any sleep. I eventually fell asleep and was woken early by the shashes banging. The problem could be fixed by inserting small wedges between the frame and shashes to prevent the shashes moving. I aasume it must have been annoying for other residents as well.

TV so old the picture doesn’t fit the screen format. Water in bathroom sink didn’t get cold at all. No fridge. Toilet roll holder hanging off the wall

We enjoyed the breakfast, the room was spotless and has all the facilities required for a warm, welcome stay.

The continental breakfast was lovely; delicious croissants and other bits and pieces. I really enjoyed walking around Pitville park and the general area.

The one downside was the coffee - only filter coffee available. Everything else was fantastic.

Mooi gebouw. Fijne badkamer

We moesten met 2 kleine kinderen steeds 4 trappen op. Er was geen lift. De verwarmjng was stuk en daardoor bloed heet in de kamer. Personeel reageerde niet adeqaat. Gebouw NIET geschikt voor families of mensen slecht ter been. Alleen het grote bed voldeed. De kleine absoluut niet

Lovely hotel very close to the centre yet in a very quiet location. The staff were friendly. Having the bar was great to have a drink before returning to your room in the evening. Free parking on site too. Will definitely return when next in Cheltenham.

Advertised as a luxury/boutique hotel so would have appreciated a better coffee supply in room and fresh milk, perhaps a small fridge or coffee machine.

Noisy people walking about us at 5.00am on a Sunday morning. Pacing up and down for ages.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

One staff member did not have a warm attitude at check-in and the same individual was assisting at breakfast the following morning. When asked about a popular local activity, they appeared visibly hassled and also got our breakfast order wrong. When we said that the order is not right, their defensive response further diminished our experience. This interaction left a poor impression, and as a result, we chose not to have breakfast for the remainder of our stay. What is more, for a nightly rate of nearly £200, it is disappointing that breakfast is not included. The limited choice between a continental or made-to-order breakfast, combined with the staff’s inattentive and dismissive approach, significantly detracted from the overall experience. Unfortunately, that lack of professionalism is what we will remember most about this stay, leaving it an unpleasant one.

Pillows we found uncomfortable, they were unable to offer feather or down pillows so we bought some new locally

Authentisches und mit viel Charme renovierte alte Villa, sehr schöne, stilvolle und geräumige Zimmer, großes, neues und sehr sauberes Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, freundliches Personal, kostenfreies schnelles WLAN, Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus

Dass es keinen Lift im Haus gibt, kann man in der Beschreibung lesen. Uns hat es nicht gestört, von daher gehört es nicht in diese Kategorie, ein anderes Feld gibt es jedoch dafür nicht und in den Hotelbeschreibungen überliest man es sonst schnell.

The staff were friendly at check in and helped with any questions we had.The bathroom was clean and well presented.

The room didn’t match the picture that we booked. The picture made it look lighter and bigger. In reality it was in the basement with a tiny window. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows some of the worst we have slept in in a hotel. We barely slept. We could hear our close neighbours television and conversation and the cleaners woke us up early in the morning. The TV was very dated and the picture didn’t fit in the screen. There was a strange smell almost like body odour when we came back on the second evening. After all of this we decided to stay in a different hotel for the second night :(

Close to town but still in a nice setting Very easy going

Lovely place to stay with an easy walk to the main shopping area. We only stayed for 1 night but would have happily stayed longer. Continental breakfast was great and staff friendly and courteous. Very clean with tea and coffee making in the room. Beautiful building with lots of character.
