ibis Bristol Temple Meads

Excellent location for our visit. Surprisingly good pizza and chips our first night. Was pleasantly surprised it was freshly cooked. All staff were very friendly.

No coffee sachets in the room only tea. For coffee you would have to use the machine near reception and take the coffee back to your room. House keeping replaced our towels on day 2 of 3 but didn't take away dirty crockery. Only small points - overall a very good stay.

The location is great. Very close to the Bristol Temple Meads station and easily accessible. There were staff at reception, which is always a plus point for me. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I did not opt for breakfast as I had to leave very early but I had dinner. Dinner timings are good - from 5 pm to 10 pm. The staff were accommodating and friendly and while the menu was not extensive, it was adequate and reasonable.

The room is a little sparse. While it had all the necessary amenities including a coffee/tea station and a hair dryer, there was no wardrobe; just a hanging rail on wheels which made the room seem less comfortable. Flooring is good but would have been nicer to have been a carpet. Bathroom is of a good size and so is the shower. The room was quiet which was really good.

Everything and the bed was so uncomfortable. Bathroom was unclean and a lack of towels. You can’t get room service, if you want room service you have to look at the menu then go downstairs from reception wait for your order then you take it upstairs!!!

Hotel malo dlje od centra, ampak še vedno se lahko pride peš. Blizu večinoma kakšne pekarne, kavarne, ni restavracij. Kopalnica majhna ampak zelo funkcionalna, postelje dokaj udobne, soba ok.

Worst wifi ever experienced with a major hotel chain. Very slow almost unusable. Weird furniture arrangement and unfathomable light switches. Early morning building noises from nearby sites.

All the team members working at the reception are very kind, helpful. The room and the bed are comfortable. If I go to Bristol again I will not look any other place. Ibis Bristol Temple Mead's is a gem and team members take the hotel upper grades.

It's location for Temple Meads station is superb.

The light switches in the room seem to have a mind of their own. We found you had to switch one on and another off to turn on a random bedside light. Also the TV remote was missing.

Close to city centre and train station.

The furniture i.e. side tables to too small and low to reach from bed. Most furniture looks very delicate not sturdy, i was reluctant to use it confidently to avoid damaging them. The layout of liquid soaps was really inconvenient orientation can be better. Staff was helpful but very dry in a sense of greeting can be more neat. The lights seer through the windows from opposing tall building windows, but that can be avoided with curtains closed. Operating elevator requires you to use your key card which was really annoying, why you need extra security layer when you have reception 24/7. Overall it was average experience.

The location (to Temple Meads station) was excellent. The hotel felt tidy, clean and new. It was also easy to walk into the city centre.

Small thing, but more coffee sachets in the room would've been nice. 🙂

An awkward journey on foot from the station. Room clean but sparse- no carpet, just vinyl flooring. En suite in raised cubicle in the room which could be a trip hazard during the night. No mention of evening meal or breakfast so I assume these weren't offered.

Great location, behind the station! Easy access to a lot. Everything was clean, their hotels are the same in every country, and I love the standards. Comfortable bed and shower.

Since its in the middle of offices, the area is rather empty during the weekend (nearby bakeries closed, for example).

Very noisy room doors when they shut meant the corridor was constantly full of slamming all night. Lights from the opposite offices very bright. Windows didn’t keep out the noise from the street. Cars, rubbish men vehicles, shouting, Not great.

The heating / colling system in the room - it was 17 degrees outside but the room was warm so we could not cool the room - instructions how to turn on the heating / cooling were not clear We left the window open to stay cool but noise of trains and people on street woke us several times Kill switch for room lighting killed everything so could not keep bed side lights on to use during the night - that was a very weird design choice !

Good location, staff were helpful re late check-in. Room was fine.

Only problem was the high cost for a basic hotel stay, albeit noting that this seems typical for Bristol and in this context the amount wasn't too bad.

Die Möglichkeit, auch nachts einchecken zu können!! Unser Flug hatte über eine Stunde Verspätung, somit kamen wir deutlich später als geplant im Hotel an - was überhaupt gar kein Problem war.

The staff were great, realy helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and we had to be very focused on what we were in Bristol to do (we were putting a show on as part of a tour) and they made everything easier for us

The staff, location and cleanliness were all terrific

The master power switch was the only way to turn on or off the LED fixture that was wall mounted above the TV. There was no way -- that I could find -- that would allow me to keep the master switch on so reading lights and bathroom light could be turned on but the room darkened. Not effective. The room was either blazing bright or pitch dark with no access to other lights.

- The location (apart from the work that started on the building at 5:30am) was fantastic - Clean apart from the dust on the ceiling above the bed

- the room did not look like the photos in the ad. It was dated and had no colour. - there was the sound of water dripping constantly from the bathroom - the water from the tap smelt foul, even after letting it run - building work outside started at 5:30 am so noisy - there were strips of dust hanging down on the ceiling above the bed - No seat cushion on the bench by the window

Hotel con muy buena relación calidad-precio. Las instalaciones estaban limpias y eran cómodas. La ubicación fue ideal para lo que necesitábamos, ya que está a solo 2 minutos andando de la estación y de la parada de autobús que conecta directamente con el aeropuerto.

Camas demasiado pequeñas, el baño es como un baño portátil dentro de la habitación y las ventanas no se podían abrir y mal olor en los pasillos del hotel.

Very handy location if you need Temple Meads Station, that’s the only good thing I have to say about it. The room had a very distinctive mouldy, musty smell that assaulted me as soon as I entered. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable, I had to put both of my pillows underneath my body and use a towel as a pillow just to get a bit of rest. Also kind of ridiculous that the remote for the TV and a bath mat were behind the front desk and you had to ask for them. The breakfast was also terrible so I had to leave it. Eggs over salted and sitting in a puddle of water, bacon so salty it burned my tongue, hash browns tasted days old and the sausages were as hard as rocks. My first and definitely my last time staying at that location.

Molto vicino alla stazione Temple Meads dove arrivano le navette dall’aeroporto e dove partono gli autobus per girare la città , in 15 minuti a piedi si arriva al centro storico. Avevamo necessità di fermarci una notte in più e lo staff è riuscito prontamente a darci una stanza facendo un piccolo upgrade.

Nonostante abbiamo preso una stanza superior era molto basica, ci hanno dato solo asciugamano per la doccia e non per il viso.

I liked everthing and the location was very convenient the only issue was in the morning the noise of the trains because its very close to the train station but there was nothing else we coould do to avoid it but anything else everthing was spot on and very clean .

Fire alarm at midnight. Lucky it was not raining but was a bit chilli. Unfortunately communication about what was happening was poor. It seemed like only 1 staff member or may be 2 on site.

If you need a hotel near Temple Meads or the Prospect Building, it's a good option, walkable. Staff were perfectly nice and had things running smoothly. Bathroom is like a pod inside the room, which is very unusual and unique.

There are lots of little games built into the design when staying here. Trying to find the toilet roll when you need it (it's underneath the hanging towel, so just move the towel around whenever you are on the toilet). Or the kettle challenge, where you're given 30cm of cable to play with in order to make a cup of tea. There are two sockets, on the floor or next to the bed. The only bin is the small one inside the aforementioned bathroom pod. The room itself appears designed to be washed easily, which is fair enough, but the vinyl floor was patterned to look like carpet. Taking your shoes off is surprising.

It was bright and airy with lots of windows The bed was comfortable and it was quiet considering how close it was to the train station The whole place was clean and tidy can't grumble The staff were friendly and helpful and for the price was amazing would highly recommend

Fire alarm went off at 1am, staff failing to provide updates to guests. Turns out smoke alarms had been removed, surely this shouldn’t be possible anyway. Staff have offered a complimentary night as an apology, but the beds are uncomfortable and the rooms feel like university halls.

O dispensador de gel de duche estava quase vazio quando cheguei ao hotel e durante a minha estadia de 8 noites nunca foi reposto.

Ruido excessivo do elevador a trabalhar durante toda a noite e obras na rua durante toda a noite. O ruido não deixou dormir. Para além disso o colchão era terrível.

The air conditioning was not cooling properly so it got really hot at night which was uncomfortable.

Está situado muy cerca de la estación, a pocos minutos andando, en una zona de oficinas, perfecto y muy cómodo para hacer excursiones a sitios cercanos a Bristol, del centro de la ciudad está a unos 20 minutos andando.

El baño es un poco extraño y pequeño, parece una cabina como los baños de los trenes, resulta un poco incómodo. Los colchones tampoco son lo mejor del mundo. El personal de limpieza, si dejas las toallas colgadas en el baño, las retira y las dejan dobladas en la cama al hacer la habitación, pero son las mismas y no unas limpias, por lo tanto luego no sabes de quien era cada toalla, o cual estabas usando para el lavabo o de alfombrilla de ducha. Si no las van a cambiar por unas limpias, creo que sería mejor que las dejen donde están al hacer la habitación.

The quality of the room wasn’t great .

I had a good stay at ibis Bristol. The room was good for the price, and the hotel is in a very convenient location. It’s around a 10-minute walk from the main train station, making it easy to get around Bristol and travel to nearby places such as Bath and Oxford. The area around the hotel is nice.

The only downside was that the room wasn’t cleaned for one of the days during my stay. Apart from that, I was happy with the overall experience and would consider staying here again.

The bathroom doors are hard to open and close which makes them quite noisy. We could hear other people opening and closing their bathroom doors in the rooms around us.

El desayuno está bien pero es muy repetitivo. No hay aceite de oliva para las tostadas si eres español. Te adaptas a la mantequilla. Un día no hicieron el servicio de limpieza, supuestamente por error.

Il giorno del check out dovevamo partire presto e abbiamo chiesto di ricevere una colazione da portare in aeroporto (colazione che avevamo pagato). Lo abbiamo detto sin dall'arrivo, perché eravamo coscienti che a quell'ora il ristorante dell'hotel sarebbe stato chiuso, due receptionist avevano preso nota della richiesta... quel giorno, però, non avevano preparato una colazione da portar via. Ci è dispiaciuto averla pagata e non aver ricevuto nulla.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier und haben das Hotel bewusst wieder gebucht. Wir waren letztes Jahr schon sehr zurfieden und sind es dieses Jahr wieder. Im Rahmen einer Zugreise wussten wir die Nähe zum Bahnhof 'Temple Meads' zu schätzen. Man ist jetzt nicht gleich in der Innenstadt, aber in 10-15 Minuten ist man auch dorthin gelaufen oder man nimmt einfach den Bus. Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht, dazu kann ich also nichts sagen. Die Lobby im Erdgeschoss hatten wir an einem Abend genutzt und fanden es sehr gemütlich!

Check-in lief nicht so bzw. wahrscheinlich machte man erstmal Dienst nach Vorschrift, denn es war nicht möglich vorzeitig Zimmer zu beziehen, obwohl laut Auskunft Rezeption Zimmer bezugsfertig waren (um ca. 13.30 Uhr). Man wollte (pro Zimmer) 20 GBP für einen vorzeitigen Bezug haben, ab 15 Uhr wäre es dann kostenfrei.

La posizione è eccellente e veramente comoda. Da utilizzare come base di pernottamento per gli spostamenti è ottimale.

La pulizia non è impeccabile. Gli asciugamani erano spesso macchiati.

Receptionist was lovely. our room was very clean and well equipped, however the room would benefit a seating area rather than the bed or the uncomfortable bench seat. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING. Checkout was simple.
