Frühstück in Ordnung.
Gutes Restaurant. Großer Parkplatz
It was lovely cosy
Staff fine, parking was good. Clean and comfortable. Everything works etc
It all felt a bit out of date, live music was dodgy country song chap doing karaoke with a backing track. Bless him he did his best and I saw an older lady singing along so maybe it's me that's the problem 🙂
Good location in centre of Kells. Clean property and good parking and plentiful breakfast great to have gluten free options.
View from the room ( overlooking a grim looking flat roof) and noisy fans from the roof above the kitchens all night.

All good
Everything was great
Generally nice folks. Large rooms, bathtubs available. Breakfast had nice choices-berry smoothies! Onsite restaurant seems to be town’s pub location of choice.
Two rooms with no a/c (broken minisplit systems). Tiny window for room, and fan couldn’t be placed in front of it to draw in cooler air. Sweltering night in room. I was told that A/C was not really part of the hotel’s offer (although I believe it was part of the listing) and was offered a coupon for 40 Eu off my next stay. Missing handle in bathtub-hard to get out of the nice, deep tub one handed. I paid quite a bit for two rooms. One was cool and comfortable. One was not-even after a change of rooms. Service guy tried hard but couldn’t get job done. Should have ensured major equipment was functioning.

Very confortable room. Very good breakfast. Great value for money.
Road noise.
Great location to explore Kells and around. Excellent breakfast, made to order. Good dining options. Not too big a hotel, so nice boutique feel. Very cosy.
Stayed overnight for a wedding nearby. Great room, very comfortable, lovely bar & breakfast, handy carpark, would recommend!
My Sister and I stayed here for two nights. Can't praise it enough. Reception staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Lovely toiletries and spotless bathroom. Restaurants. Excellent dinner and freshly cooked breakfast. Kells is a monastic town and plenty to see and do around the area. What's not to like about this lovely homely and relaxing hotel.
The breakfast was lovely with a huge selection
We had a fantastic 2 night stay. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady Martyne very friendly. Our room was beautiful. We ate in the bar served by lovely Siobhan. Breakfast was amazing great choices and again lovely staff. Also a huge thank you to Caroline at front desk for making us so welcome highly reccommend to friends and we look forward to our return.
The friendly staff, perfect location
Room was extremely hot
We stayed here as part of a golf package - the Headfort courses are 2 minutes down the road. Staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. We ate in the main bar area (with our package we had a 20 euro credit one night) and Vanilla and both were very good. The portions are generous! The hotel also owns the Kelltic bar next door, which is also worth a visit. Must also mention the breakfasts - lots of choice and nice large pots of tea. The rooms are reasonably spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. There was a coffee maker as well as a kettle, and also a bottle of water refreshed daily. There was also a water station on one of the floors which is a really good idea. We stayed in the old part of the hotel with a room facing the main street so there was a lot of traffic noise from quite early. Request a room in the new part for a better night's sleep, although we were given earplugs which did help. The hotel has a small beauty spa, and I had an amazing hot stone massage - thank you Victoria :). Lots of parking at the back of the hotel and there is also a lovely garden.
So clean friendly and close to town
Not many parking spots. , and no air con small fan but with heat made sleeping very uncomfortable
Location, the bed and staff.
Central to facilities. Lovely staff
The night club next door had people hanging around outside making it very noisy even with the windows closed
Breakfast was delicious staff where very helpful. A lot of choice for breakfast and very efficient.
Friendly, warm welcome in a lovely country town. The food was lovely. The bed was very comfortable with parking for hotel guests at back of hotel and arrived at through the public car park but securely separated. Wonderful service provided. Golfers love this area as Headford Golf club up the road.
Comfortable
No AC during a time it was needed. Bed room was hot
Booked for childs birthday treat, the staff were fantastic, food was delicious, choice of bar or restaurant and lovely rooms Great location to explore Kells town, bus stop right outside and plenty of shops and pubs. Overall all stay was perfect
The location was good and staff were really friendly. Breakfast was great
Nothing I didn’t like
First visit here and the hotel lives up to its star billing on TA, we attended an afternoon function in the ballroom and the setting was excellent, food excellent and staff likewise, in particular a big thank you to Matthew on bar service. This young man is a credit and asset to the hotel and has a winning disposition. Just one niggle however, at the end of the function tea and sandwiches were served and most people were not inclined to partake of sandwiches as the lunch meal had been so substantial. Some members of the waiting staff kindly offered to provide bags or boxes if people wished to take away sandwiches rather than have them thrown away, a very sensible suggestion. Eventually a different waitress declined to allow this to happen on apparently health and safety grounds. To cap it off one couple at our table were staying overnight in the hotel but were still told no food could be taken away, I have never come across that before in any establishment and everyone else was likewise baffled.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would love to stay there again
Just one small thing, love a face cloth .
Lovely staff..good food
The room was comfortable and convenient. Noise from restaurant and bar below was not even noticeable, which was great. The breakfast in Vanilla Pod was exceptional! The best of all the included breakfasts we had!
The Kelltic Bar, under the hotel, was very nice looking, but the service and food were terrible. Would not dine there again, and would not recommend.
Nousy cig smoking area below room outside. Could also smell smoke in room
A lovely hotel0
Location
Bathroom is outdated
Comfortable bed, lovely staff, very helpful. Good value for money.
Nothing. Great stay.
Comfortable
Nothing
Waited a very long time to even get a menu. From the time our main course arrived until we left not one staff member checked if we needed anything or if we would anything else (we would have had a dessert). Service very disappointing.
Lovely large bedroom and equally large bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with the hot items cooked to order. The receptionist was extremely helpful.
Everything was fine except when we reached the 1st floor we then had to go up several flights of stairs to reach our room as we seemed to be on the top floor.
Lovely Hotel. Lovely staff.
Won't stay at this hotel again - which is a pity. They held a fox hunting Ball when i was in residence. I don't support or understand how this is still a sport which can be celebrated. Anywhoo - just my opinion.
Good location, excellent facilities. All staff friendly and helpful. Good secure parking.
My wife and I visited the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, Meath to attend our friends daughter’s wedding. From start to finish we received excellent service from all the staff during our stay. Very friendly efficient check in and allowed to check in earlier to prepare for the wedding that afternoon which was much appreciated. The hotel even arranged the small private chapel for the service, within 100 yards of the hotel. After the service we were entertained in the beautiful gardens in glorious sunshine where we enjoyed tasty canapés, drinks and live music. Then it was time for dinner and again the staff looked after us so well, 4 courses of the highest quality, all served very professionally to ensure the food was piping hot and no delays between courses. After the meal it was time to party and the live music from The Laura’s (if I remember correctly) was fantastic. I have to say that this was one of the best weddings we have had the pleasure of attending and this was mainly down to the hotel staff and it’s proprietor Olivia who was in hand to oversee that everything went to plan. Also a big shoutout for her manager Kevin who seemed to be everywhere checking that the bridal party and guests received first class service.
The service in the bar in the evening was good but very slow
Went to the Headfort Arms Hotel for a meal with friends recently. The food was lovely and we were served by one really lovely girl whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. However, another young waiter called Conor seemed very unprofessional throughout the evening. We were left waiting for long periods a few times and some of our orders were brought out incorrectly. What upset us most was that he asked one of my friends how far along she was in her pregnancy, when she actually isn’t pregnant. My friend already struggles with her weight, so this comment was very hurtful and embarrassing for her. I understand people can make mistakes and I don’t know if it was his first day or not, but comments like that are completely inappropriate and staff should be more mindful when speaking to customers. Unfortunately, it really affected our overall experience.
The food and restaurant itself were absolutely lovely, which makes this even more disappointing to write. Unfortunately, one waiter named Conor completely ruined the experience for my family. He got parts of our order wrong and refused to fix the mistakes when we politely brought them up. He forgot my 14-year-old daughter’s fries, and when we mentioned it, he responded by saying “she doesn’t need them anyway” while looking her up and down. I found this incredibly inappropriate and upsetting, especially towards a young girl. When I asked to speak to a manager, he refused and became dismissive. It’s a shame because the restaurant and food were genuinely great, but this kind of behaviour from staff should not be ignored. Something needs to be done because no family should be made to feel that uncomfortable while dining out.
Fantastic atmosphere with a real authentic Irish experience! The staff is amazing and the bar is very welcoming! Rooms are modern clean and very comfortable! The restaurant serves delicious large portions of genuine authentic Irish cuisine! Highly recommend stay if you’re in the area!
The staff at this hotel is A+ in rating by my standards. Super pleasant and helpful for check in to check out. While the room was a bit dated and the shower was a bit difficult to maneuver as it was so narrow, it was clean and comfortable. The view was nonexistent but the windows opened for fresh air. The heating/cooling system was difficult to figure out and make sure to put your key card in the slot next to the door for the lights. Overall would stay again if I am ever back in Ireland.
Beautiful building from the outside and a Beautiful building on the inside as well . Staff very friendly and the room’s very clean and spacious. We were there for a wedding and everything went smoothly and perfect . I would very easily give The Headfort Arms Hotel a top 10 / 10 all the way . Thank you for a wonderful Time in you Hotel .
Everything
Silverfish in the bathroom. And the relentless noise from the fans outside all night. Relentless noise from screaming teenagers. Bedroom was boiling hot. Breakfast room was sauna hot. Staff wouldnt let me sit in a 4 seat table even though the breakfast room was empty.
This hotel is amazing Spotlessly clean Everything You need is in the room coffee machine fan iron etc Asked for extra pillow was in the room within 5 minutes The food is amazing The staff are all so friendly and helpful 5 stars
Location
Property looked good.
It was really lovely, extremely friendly staff, food and portions were very good
Breakfast was ok, sausages were cold no beans, soda bread or potatoe bread.
Kells
The room i was in was like a box a small window in it It was like a sweatbox very disappointing had to leave a day early it it wasn't four star to us more like 2
The staff couldn't have been more helpful, we needed to stay on for a few hours and they were happy to accommodate that and then the car we hired woudn't start and they were so helpful and supportive as we tried to resolve that.
I can't recall a thing.
We loved everything about the hotel and the wonderful staff. This was our third time staying and we will be back. If you ever have a special deal please let us know.
A fantastic property in a great location. Dinner was exceptional and surprisingly well priced. Breakfast was excellent and, possibly, the best i’ve ever eaten. The staff were without exception friendly, polite and professional. Very clean and comfortable room.
nothing
We had a great experience staying here. The room was huge and very comfortable. There is private secure parking. Breakfast was excellent. However, it is the staff who made our stay unforgettable, and we found them so helpful. We are delighted that we chose this hotel as it was perfect for attending a wedding at Clonabreaney House.
Nothing. We will definitely return.
The staff went out of their way to make the best out of the stay. Breakfast was excellent might of best we ever had while traveling. Very comfortable bed real quiet and pleasant stay.
Nothing
Hotel was very comfortable, decor was lovely and staff were very nice.
Breakfast was delicious 😋 very good selection to choose from excellent
I couldn't fault anything tbh
Great hotel, brilliant staff, food was ok, but nothing to write home about. The view from my room was very disappointing. The bar area was amazing. Would I go back? YES.
It was very handy. As we were getting an early bus for the airport, so saved getting lifts into town.
