Room ok. Rooms Needs a safe. Needs a refurb, showing its age. Breakfast, standard for mid range hotel. Staff, clearly over stretched, can’t pay attention to customers Serving staff at dinner were excellent, could not have been more friendly or helpful

As per other recent reviews, The breakfast is sub par for the hotel it aspires to be and the breakfast team are understaffed. Large wait time for breakfast and it lacked management as staff were doing multiple different jobs instead of being tasked to run each segment coherently. Not the fault of staff as they done their best in the circumstances.

Nice location, clean beds, clean room.

Bar area dated and felt canteen like rather than cosy pub. Waiting times for food was lengthy and when food eventually came we had no cutlery to begin eating. Another long wait for cutlery! But staff were most apologetic and very nice which made up for it.

Lovely hotel and we had lake view room which was very spacious family room, beds comfy, hotel clean. Breakfast was OK but continental needs more selection of like fresh fruit and more fresh pastries but otherwise nice, location of hotel is brilliant, supermacs and shop next door short walk into town, we also booked thermal spa which we both really enjoyed, would definitely stay again

For a single booking I'd recieved a lot of excess marketing emails. Everyone was really friendly however on the Wednesday evening we stayed I observed what I assumed to be the assistant manager being a bit rude to other members of staff, I noticed him clapping his hands really loudly to kitchen staff to hurry and again to another waiter loudly saying "WAKE UP"

We stayed at the Loughrea Hotel for a wedding and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and our room was clean and comfortable.

There was nothing in particular that we didn’t like. Everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed our stay.

Sehr nettes und sauberes Zimmer mit einem geräumigen Badezimmer. Eingangshalle und Speisezimmer sind nett ausgestattet. Das Team am Empfang war sehr freundlich.

Das Service im Speiseraum (Abendessen und Frühstück) hat sehr zu wünschen übrig gelassen. Es hat lange gedauert bis wir endlich die Bestellung aufgeben konnten und einige Kellner:innen waren überwiegend unmotiviert. Falls es daran gelegen ist, dass wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind, sollte es auch nicht vorkommen. War schon mehrmals in Irland und habe immer die freundliche Art geschätzt, die ich hier leider teilweise vermisst habe.

Fiquei hospedada no quarto 122, no primeiro andar bem em cima de um lugar onde estava tendo uma festa de casamento. Foi impossivel dormir antes da 2h da manha! Ou seja ate a festa acabar. O ar condicionado do quarto tambem nao estava bom, visto que estava uma noite quente e o quarto possuia apenas ventilacao. No cafe da manha nao me foi ofertado o menu, o tivemos de comer apenas o que estava disponivel no buffet. Para conseguirmos um bule de cafe preto, meu marido teve que procurar por um garcom, visto que em nenhum momento alguem veio retirar nosso pedido.

Our room smelled like someone had urinated on the carpet. The quality of bedding and pillows is absolutely atrocious. The staff are really not up to standard, delivered food to our room with no cutlery or any condiments, food ordered was not delivered. The quality of the food has really taken a nose dive. Breakfast is absolutely terrible, the cheapest 1 star hotel offers better, I do t believe I have ever had food so bad anywhere before.

Breakfast is OK, but understaffed. There was an excursion and they could not keep up replenish the breakfast buffet. Rooms are getting old and worn out.

Room was very comfortable, staff very friendly and attentive, food was very good. Used the thermal spa which was excellent value.

Sometimes bar service was slow but only happened when was extremely busy, no other complaints

Breakfast was terrible for €200 per night needs to be much better I had avacado beetroot which the chef decided to make a desperate mousse from, even made the avacado spicy ( for breakfast) my partner had the fry I tried it because I couldn’t eat my own very poor quality meat we were seated in the bar on our own, continental buffet extremely poor even the fruit

Breakfast was good but we had to queue outside dining rm for 20 minutes to get in . There were many tables packed with used plates , bowls , cups etc but the staff on were all running and severely under pressure. It was simply very understaffed , and they were still pleasant under pressure. We had to leave our scrambled eggs uneaten because we ran out of time and had to leave for an event we were attending.

The bedroom was comfortable , the shower was good. The biggest problem with the hotel is the very poor quality of the food served in the dining room room . We stay regularly in the hotel and always need food when we arrive but we have learned from hard experience not to eat in the dining room . There is very little few other places in Loughrea to get decent food so it’s a shame the hotel can’t do it.

Breakfast was over priced, and not great at that. A pint if guiness in the bar was awful. 4 of us had a pint of guiness each and all agreed it was terrible and of poor quality. I will never order a pint of guiness there again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and good location.

Room overlooking roof and bath which my partner couldn't get into due to lack of mobility to have shower. We were expecting bit more for the price, but was ok for one night.

Few niggling issues including TV volume didn’t work, noise of outside fan or compressor, hot/cold tap in shower did t work and was scalding. No gym on site - use one up the road. Pity. Nice otherwise
