Decor was nice, food from restaurant was excellent. Pillows and bed were quality and comfy and staff were really nice. Had a parking space space at the back. Location was fab!

It's a well run boutique hotel that is away from the bustling town centre and a short(ish) walk away from the best restaurants and bars. The in house bar area is very nice, the staff very accommodating and it's ideally located for buses into town and/or from the airport.

Not all the staff at reception were as attentive as the more engaging ones. The upgrade room request was not actioned or acknowledged.

Extremely noisy at night, music from bar could be heard until late and the part of hotel I was in was extremely loud, I hardly slept

Very easy check in with friendly and helpful staff. The Balmoral suite was beautiful with a stunning view of aberdeen. Love the whole atmosphere of the hotel. Can't wait to go back

Nothing really. If I was being really fussy then the terrace could maybe do with a freshen up and maybe a privacy screen of some sort between the neighbouring terrace

Had a really bad nights sleep. Pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. In room 012 you could hear what sounded like tables and chairs being moved around a lot upstairs, not sure if this room is below the restaurant or bar? Everything else was fine.

Breakfast was excellent and server fantastic.Room was lovely and check in was great.

Room was a bit cold and we had a drink before we went out and bar area was freezing which we mentioned to staff.On return at 11.20 we asked about a coffee and were told abruptly their was coffee in room.After breakfast and checkout we sat for over half our before being served coffee in bar area but again server was lovely.Very mixed experience.

Good VFM. Love the quirky feel of Malmaison and the space in the rooms - will definitely seek out Mal again after our excellent first experience!

Just nearer the centre would have better/ only a minor point. Also, mentioning up front that it would be best to park at the rear rather than saying there is parking at front of hotel would have been helpful / nevertheless, first stay, loved it 👍🏻

Het is een modern en super gezellig ingericht hotel. Het personeel bij de receptie is zeer behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is goed geregeld.

Het enige minpunt is misshien de spiegel in de badkamer die in een diepe nis hangt, waardoor het lastig om goed te zien wat je doet, bijvoorbeeld bij het scheren.

Malmaison Aberdeen ist gut zu erreichen und ist sehr hundefreundlich. Unsere Hündin wurde an der Rezeption sehr lieb empfangen und im Zimmer ist ein bequemes Hundebett, 2 Näpfe und eine Tüte mit Spielzeug und Leckerli. Wir hatten ein grosses Zimmer im unteren Stockwerk, der Parkplatz war schnell zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und das Personal sehr aufmerksam.

Das Hotel ist zwar stylish designt, insgesamt aber sehr dunkel. Wir hatten ein behinderten-gerechtes Zimmer, dadurch war das Bad sehr gross, aber die Dusche hatte keinen Vorhang o.ä. Dadurch war es recht "frisch" unter der Dusche. Der Parkplatz ist zwar grundsätzlich gross genug, das Hotel hat aber ein Restaurant, welches auch gut besucht ist; dadurch sind die Parkplätze aber gerade am frühen Abend recht knapp. Es hat auch leider keine Ladestation für EV.

The suite we had was fantastic, a real luxury and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly, particularly Murrin and Matthew in the restaurant.

Smoke alarm in the bedroom flashes a bright light all night and it’s located above the bed so it’s like a flash of lightening every few seconds which is very annoying. Even with your eyes closed you notice it

Fab hotel . The only thing that spoiled my stay was that they don’t use money ! One can only pay by money card and my card was not working so I had to walk to a nearby co op to by a roll for breakfast which was annoying , despite the fact that they do offer a great breakfast here … so that was a downside but otherwise a lovely hotel

Hotel was lovely, check in not great. I’d had an upgrade offer accepted but it had been removed when we checked in. No apology. Then they found us a room that was an upgrade. Cold tap in the room didn’t work, told Reception but they did nothing. Food very goood and staff friendly in the restaurant. Very expensive considering we had DBB package

Lovely rooms, and staff were very helpful. Located in a quieter area but walking distance to the city centre. The food was lovely but expensive .

The location is perfect. The room was tastefully decorated, had everything you needed. The bar area and restaurant had excellent menus and great atmosphere. The staff all helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. Great value for money.

I had a beautiful suite with a balcony and really lovely room

Petit déjeuner fantastique de qualité dans un cadre très confortable. Des espaces restaurant, bar, salon, très agréables. Les transports en commun sont devant l'entrée de l’hôtel ,(il faut bien prendre les références du nom de l'arrêt du retour)

La vue, l'emplacement de la chambre, vue sur un mur avec les moteurs de ventilation. L'ouverture de fenêtre est trop limité pour aérer comme souhaité. Le tarif est trop onéreux malgré la qualité des service.

Malmaison is always fantastic.

Ive stayed many times and the last time i stayed i did find one member of the bar staff was rude and offended me. Ive stayed over 15 times and this has only happened once but has resulted in me no longer booking to stay.

Very spacious and modern decorated/kitted out room and very peaceful. Had a great nights sleep with no disturbances and good aircon in the heat of the summer!

great hospitality and attention all around - from the receptionist (who phoned me ahead to check preferred timing for dinner reservation) to the waitresses (especially the girl with the Bisto tattoo who we had a long and enjoyable chat with at breakfast). Room was HUGE! and quiet as requested and the bed was super comfortable. I had the coconut shrimp for starters (OK) and fillet steak med-well for main: which was perfect. all in all class and relaxing weekend.

room temp control was a bit on the warm side even with both windows open - however it was BOILING in Aberdeen that day.

We upgraded one of the rooms to a suite and it was amazing. Huge with a football table, enormous bed and a big bathroom. Definitely worth the extra money and perfect as an 18th birthday surprise.

Balmoral suite is amazing and huge! The restaurant and bar are also top class.

An inter-leading door right next to the bed needs LOTS of soundproofing or just closed off. We could hear every word in the adjoining suite and so could they I bet? At this level privacy should be guaranteed.

Room was too hot. A small fan in the room but barely slept as was so uncomfortable due to the heat. Air conditioning system wasn’t working.

Booked as a surprise for my sister who is about to embark on medical treatment and it ticked all the boxes

The staff are friendly and helpful . The rooms are well equipped and spotless with comfortable beds.

The bedrooms are quite dark maybe could brighten them up a bit.

Had a hiccup with the room and was quickly offered an upgrade to a suite. I was well taken care of by Amanda who couldn’t have done more. Thank you for making my stay great!

The service was excellent.

No one to help with the luggage after check-in to the room. I had to look for the room number while pulling my luggage. Imagine doing this after a long flight.

Great staff really helpful. We were running late and they not only held our rooms but also made a reservation for dinner. The hotel rooms are all large and beautifully furnished in a sensitive rear extension. Car parking is limited but we parked on the street as we were leaving before 9.00. Food for both dinner and breakfast was excellent. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, much bigger than expected and very comfortable. The room was ready with a cot, changing mat and nappy bin for our 1 year old which was great. The location is perfect for visiting the city with plenty of food and drinks places within walking distance.

hotel is modern, nice rooms, Staff were very welcoming on both front desk and in restaurant. Had a fantastic meal with some colleagues in the private room toward the balcony. Service was good and food was superb.

At about 03:30 the sound of chairs being dragged across the floor in the dining room woke me up! this went on for about 20 minutes. I fell back to sleep and then at 07:00 I had the bass from the sound system in the dining room coming up through the floor.

Hotel is getting a bit dated and could do with a refresh. Air conditioning not working in either of our rooms, but the weather was cool so it didn't really matter.

Beautiful hotel, received upgrade from a suite to a signature suite on arrival. Room was lovely, huge big balcony. It was lovely weather which was a bonus.

Location was perfect as we were visiting family, they live 5 minutes away by car.

No sockets anywhere near the mirror to dry my hair, when I told reception this I was told you’re not the first person to mention this. Ironing board could do with being replaced with a new one.

The breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast room were soo helpful.

The reception lady when I checked in was very frosty and I did not feel welcome.

nice location. interesting concept, rather original hotel. Common areas nicely decorated, good combination between modernity and classic relatively new.

tiny shower cabin, difficult to take a shower. adjusting the water temperature is challenging. no shower head at the bath tub. too small variety at b fast, becoming annoying after 3 days. benedict eggs 1st were harder than an egg that you boil 9 mn. 2nd day it was too raw even white part not cooked. 3rd day it took 25 mn to get it, after that i decided not to take eggs... be aware that not all rooms have access with lift. i specifically mentioned this when booking. 30 mn before arrival i got email that my request will not be fulfilled as fully booked. fine, only issue other colleagues that travelled with me and did not request it they got it...that was awkward. night receptionist was kind but the main one in the next morning was like a tornado, too aggressive. explained it is not fun to carry two suitecases 2 floors after 19hrs of travel, without letting me finish my sentence: she interrupted me saying she cannot make everybody happy. not allowing to finish my sentence that i have a discal hernia and the lift is one of the reason i booked their hotel. she said she will move me on Tuesday but i have to pack my stuff with rather a threatening tone (if you don't pack we don;t move you). I packed my stuff, come back in the afternoon, obviously nothing was moved. i just gave up on this. Funny enough, another colleague came on Monday and got a room with lift access... I asked the same receptionist to book us a taxi for 4 people emphasizing we have 7 suitcases, i asked to send either a van or 2 taxis . she kept saying it is note for 4 people so they know what they are doin. her concentration span does not exceed 1 sentence, next day 1 car came.. the weird thing in all this story is that i recommended the hotel, i insisted with my colleagues to take this hotel while they were more inclined to go lower budget. Rooms are not cleaned on daily basis, just new towels and bed barely made up without changing bedsheet . Nothing else. thats' a joke.

Staff were amazing - cheerful, so so very helpful both before (i had parcels delivered there which were taken up to my room pre arrival) and during our stay. They very kindly upgraded my room which made the experience all the better. They booked us taxis and booked us into the bar as the restaurant was booked for an event. Great location too. Would 100% stay again. Bed super comfy, great views.

We booked three rooms in total, two of these were identical but there were differences in the rooms in terms of the provisions. One had a nespresso machine with Ferrero Rocher and the other had a no such machine, just a kettle and some coffee bags with no chocolates. My only other issue was that the the suite shared a balcony with another suite but the balcony door did not lock and could be opened from the outside. For a lone female this wasn't ideal. Reception did everything they could to locate a key so cannot fault them at all. I ended up putting a table in front of the door to give me some peace of mind. Also, breakfast was lovely and brilliantly timed (7am-10am), however, we only got a teaspoon of beans (they didn't cover the bottom of the ramekin). Just missing a water refill station or such like.

My Sister and I had a really lovely afternoon tea . A generous, tasty selection of savoury and sweet with a glass of fizz, and exemplary service from Chantelle. She made us both feel very special and we enjoyed our time at Malmaison.

Went for afternoon tea, the hot food was excellent but the sweets I thought lacked flavour. However, drinks were great and our server Rachel was fantastic!

We had our wedding reception here 25 years ago when it was the Queens hotel so decided to return for a walk down memory lane. Whilst the hotel has obviously been taken over and lots has changed we still had a lovely time reminiscing. The afternoon tea was delicious and our server Rachel was amazing and she chatted us through how the hotel had changed. Lovely cocktail from the hotel to Mark our special anniversary. Left feeling very full and glad we had made the trip.

The welcome we received on arrival was exceptional. We were checked in by Amanda, who was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and highly professional. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel valued and genuinely looked after. As always, the hotel was immaculate throughout. I cannot praise Amanda highly enough—nothing was too much trouble. She even arranged a dinner reservation to accommodate a specific request we had, which was greatly appreciated. Amanda's outstanding service made our stay so enjoyable that we decided to extend it by an extra night—why not! Having stayed at Malmaison hotels across the country for many years, I can honestly say that the Aberdeen hotel stands out as truly exceptional. The combination of excellent facilities and outstanding customer service made for a memorable experience.
