Para los 4, 2 niños y 2 adultos la habitación un poco justa de tamaño, pero estaba muy bien. El desayuno es monótono. Eché de menos quizás un embutido (queso, salami, etc.. ) pero lo recomiendo un 1000%. Volveré....

Very friendly staff. Great location as 10mins walk down to the quayside and 5mins from all the shops etc. The car park next door is fine and great value for money, 20hrs via the PaybyPhone app was less than £12!

The property has all the features that one needs while visiting the city.. it’s location it’s facilities it’s rooms it’s restaurant.. Everything is excellent

Friendly welcoming staff; very clean and exceptionally quiet room; with air conditioning. Very comfortable beds; great breakfast. Only a few minutes walk from train station and close to central bars and restaurants. Overall a great hotel right in city centre with multi storey car park next door if required.

An extractor fan in bathroom would be beneficial.

The hotel it's quite practical as it's close to the train station, to the university and the city centre. It's what one would expect from a Holiday Inn. The check in was quick and the staff kind. The room is basic but good for a night or two. It was quite clean.

The room is basic, quite clean but some of the facilities (e.g. the shower) are a bit worn out. The bed was not the most comfortable ever, I quite struggled to sleep. The room was also very warm and the air conditioning extremely noisy so at night it's quite annoying. The breakfast didn't have much choice, expecially in terms of fresh produces.

It was difficult to find. We asked several locals for help. Finally found after a roundabout search. Turned out there was a better route after talking to staff.

The quiet location that was close to everything, but not in the middle of the rowdy city centre.

The Reception and lobby were well kept and looked amazing, but our room was cramped and tired. Holes in curtains, rusty frame around the shower stall and lack of provision. Had to go ask for loo rolls because only one had been left for a family of three spending five nights, empty body wash and hand wash bottles. It was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a Holiday Inn Express and at any hotel for that matter. The sofa bed was shoved under the desk and its cushions squeezed in the remaining space so we could barely move around the room or cross to the window without climbing over the sofa bed being used by my son. The chair having no space anywhere, was placed at the end of the Queen bed so was in the way so that we kept bumping into it. We couldn’t even unpack our luggage without placing them on the bed (which I find revolting). I felt like they’d just shoved a sofa bed into a standard double room and allocated it to a family who paid for a family room just because they were heavily booked. They have no excuses because ours was no emergency booking as we booked it in the first week of May- over 3 months!

The location in New Castle was good and easy to reach by car. The hotel staff were very friendly.

The room was too small for three people and should not be sold as option for a family. The quality of the food at the breakfast buffet was very basic.

This is exceptional value for money we paid only £48 for bed and breakfast which was outstanding value, a short walk had us at all our favourite bars and the amazing Kozle restaurant 2 minute walk away. For the money you cannot complain the staff were all amazing and very upbeat. I have stayed at Gotham, Grey Street Hotel, Malmaison etc all outstanding hotels in Newcastle but lets keep it real this was £48 and my wife thinks one of the best nights sleeps she has ever had . Thanks for being epic on a price adjusted basis you are every bit as good as the top class hotels. As this was £48.......... you simply cannot go wrong!

Ideal location for a one night stay, a quick walk from the train station. Staff member who checked me in gave me a warm welcome. Modern facilities and had everything I needed.

People at reception are friendly and try their best to solve any questions we had. Location was super and not noisy at the same time. Housekeeping was also good.

Breakfast was the same every day for 5 days. No much fruits variety either. I would have preferred more healthier breakfast options.

Room was clean, check-in process was very easy, reception staff (Ryan) was very polite. The location of the Hotel is a feel walking mimnutes from the train station. The amenities of the room were simple but great. Breakfast was free and delicious.

The only complain I have was with the pillows, they were not as confortable I was expecting, but this detail did not ruin my stay.

Well maintained property and positioned in the centre of the city. Enjoy accessibility to a lot of places in the city centre.

The food was predictable. There is always a need for variety in terms of food served.

Holiday inn express was an amazing experience and the price was spot on just like to thank one of the amazing staff members Ryan for such amazing service and welcoming such an kind helpful person you made me and my friends stay feel safe and happy and a place we made our memories together so thank you Ryan keep up the incredible work we’re be back soon.

Cooked breakfast could have been a lot hotter.we booked two rooms,having been given both keys one of the rooms was already allocated to someone else.This was rectifed quickly,but could have been embarrassing if the occupants were in at the time,obviously a mix up at reception.

It was in walking distance to every thing we wanted. The room was comfortable & clean, the staff were all very friendly & we arrived earlier than expected & they popped our luggage in a side room so we could go out.

We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend whilst visiting family and attending a football match. We were on the second floor facing the road. When we arrived we were checked-in by Ryan who was very friendly and helpful and he gave us good information about breakfast etc. upon entering our room, the sofa bed had not been set up for our two children so we asked when we popped past reception on our way out and this was set up for us when we returned. The room itself was very basic. It was clean but in clear need of refurbishment. The built in wardrobe/shelving had been covered in sticky back wood effect and looked very tired. The spa bed was very thin and dipped at the top so we requested some extra pillows to fill the gap. The spa bed literally touched the end of the desk so we were unable to use the desk area (we noted as we passed other rooms whilst the doors were open that when the sofa bed was out, they had a couple of foot at the end so our room was clearly a lot smaller than others). This left only a small gap between the beds and bottom of the bed as th desk chair had been placed there - not enough room at all for 2 adults, a 12 and 7 year old. There was an iron and board provided as well as kettle and tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom was clean but thetissue box hadn’t been topped up and only had one in and the Dove shampoo and body wash which was provided had not been topped up. The body wash had about 1/2 cm in the bottom of the bottle. The pressure on the shower was good. Our biggest problem was the air-con as it had been warm. The first night we used it, it was very load and didn’t cool the room so we spoke to a lady at reception who came up on the second night and did something to it but it made no difference. We couldn’t keep the window open as it was very noisy (Saturday night after match) so got very little sleep. We mentioned it again on the Sunday and were told that the technical team were in so they would ask them to take a look but Sunday night was no better. I came home more exhausted than when I arrived. The breakfast provided is okay… some food items were not topped up quickly enough so one day there was no bacon, muffins, yoghurt…the food items themselves were okay with both some hot and cold options. If you have dietary requirement you have to ask for alternatives. Location is good and you are in east access to the station and city. The multistory next door is the best place to park but turns out to be expensive over a long weekend.

The hotel was just 5 minutes from the city centre which was perfect, room was nice and clean. We needed the air con as the room was quite stuffy and this worked fine for us..

We were in a room near the stairs in which you could here the door banging all night and people going up and down the stairs. The cooked breakfast was not very warm and the bacon was actually cold.

Nice hotel. Despite being at the budget end of the IHG / Holiday Inn offering, this hotel provides a really comfortable stay and good quality service. The location is excellent as it's only a short walk from the train station, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The free breakfast buffet was good with a decent range of hot and cold dishes. A little bit disappointing to have a diluted orange juice rather than the real McCoy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again

The hotel itself was so so - very conveniently located 5 mins walk to the train station and a 10-15 minute walk to centre of town. The room was not the cleanest, bed was comfy but the kids sofa bed was sagging at one end and there were drink splatters all over the bed. On the plus side it wasn't too noisy despite room facing the road. Breakfast was reasonable for the overall price and we appreciate the tip to get down early as the hotel was pretty much full. Overall probably fair for the price paid (£90). I give 5* however to Michael who was an absolute gem, so helpful, funny seemed to be working hard every time we saw him whether at front desk, breakfast, behind the bar or helping with our luggage. Absolute credit to the company. We were also greeted very warmly at check in by male staff member whose name I didn't get.

Very disappointing and not worth £85. The breakfast was very poor with very limited choice and definitely not the “superb breakfast” they advertise. The staff member was unfriendly and made us feel rushed. even as a basic English breakfast, it was below average. The staff member serving breakfast was also quite unpleasant and kept saying things like “5 minutes left” and “10 minutes left”, which made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. The room smelled strongly of smoke, and there was also a strange smell during the night. Like weird smoke . Overall, definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend it.

we stayed for 3 nights for a wedding in the area and was very happy with our stay. Very easy to find from the main railway station and Metro, close to the city centre. Very clean and well looked after rooms, breakfast was very good. The staff on the from t desk and in the breakfast area were all very nice and helpful. Would be very happy to use again
