Location and Louise on reception who did his best.
The house-keeping was APPALLING. Room not made up at all one day. Five days out of seven we were not left enough towels. Coffee/milk/biscuit supply a complete lottery with only the first day when all three were available. Checkout " Checking out? You have already paid, that's it thank you. Bye." A very poor show for £90 a night minimum.
Reception & room good
No problems
Location only
Hole in ceiling, water leak had the ceiling falling in on itself. Lift would get stuck. Wasn’t kept very well, shabby
Good location, free parking
Pet charge was unfairly expensive and not made clear. Also no air con, it was hot and sweaty
The room was very spacious, the staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious. Kenilworth was lovely.
The location
Disappointing Stay Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The food quality was not up to the standard I expected, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. More importantly, some of the rooms did not have potable/drinkable water available, which was a major inconvenience. There were also rooms without air conditioning, making it uncomfortable, especially when trying to rest. For the price paid, I expected much better basic amenities and comfort. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements to ensure future guests have a more comfortable and satisfactory stay.
The night manager was very helpful and it’s well located for Kenilworth.
We paid for a family room, the sofa bed was not made on check in. We told the front desk at 3pm before leaving for the day. Upon our return at 11pm the bed was still not made up. The night manager did all that he could to help and sorted a different room but should our party have included a young child this would not have been appropriate. The breakfast was also disappointing, the staff were nice but there weren’t enough of them for the number of guests. The outside area was full of rubbish from the evening before and the hotel seemed dated.
The bedroom was a long way from reception. It was up and down stairs and everything looked as if it needed painting. It was very tired. The door handle was loose. Around 6 am I was woken by noises and voices coming from where I assume the breakfast team was preparing. Overall I was very surprised at the standard and would not stay there again.
Good location and good value for money
Parking wasn’t the easiest if you had a big car
Reception support
Nothing
Good location nice room
Nothing
Its was all fantastic
Having to realise that you have to connect the TV up
Downstairs was lovely, staff very friendly in bar and great food. Room was basic but comfortable apart from sofa / sofa bed which was extremely hard, wouldnt want to sleep on this.
Getting to my bedroom was like a labyrinth and at time confusing, at one point whilst trying to find some stairs as couldnt find the lift I ended up at a stairs / fire escape which was blocked outside by barrels - did report this to reception desk but I was a bit worried that should there be a fire the hotel might be difficult to exit due to its rambling nature etc
Lovely staff, great location nice food
Only 2 disabled parking spaces very difficult access as builders portacabins were positioned too close.
Position
Tired decor
Our room was down two flights of stairs with no lift access. This was a problem for guest with mobility issues. The corridors and space in room was very tight. Generally the place needed updating
Poor accessibility
Kenilworth is a fantastic town and in a great location.
Having to leave.
Good location for restaurants etc
It was a very hot summers day, the air con didn’t work. There was no fan in the room even though there was a sign saying to use the fan as air con not working! Staff brought one to the room, it blew dust and grime across the room when switched on. The decoration and finishing was grubby and dated. No fruit at the breakfast buffet.
Central location. Staff. Comfortable bed. Breakfast.
Too hot and fans noisy and aircon wasnt working in the room
In town centre, very clean and comfy beds
No air con
The rooms were comfortable enough for one night. The lack of air conditioning was a downside, especially in the heat with children, and not being able to open the window didn't help. Overall, though, for under £100 including breakfast for a family of four, it still represented very good value for money.
It took around three hours to get a fan delivered to our room, and we only received one after asking three times. The general upkeep of the hotel was also lacking, and it felt like it could benefit from some investment and refurbishment. The corridors, in particular, were very dark and tired, they wouldn't have looked out of place at Warwick Castle! Were definitely in need of a refresh.
The breakfast was very good and it was quiet
Breakfast choice very good, bar and seating ok. Bar and breakfast staff friendly and attentive.
No signs to reception for the upper floors especially when you had room 224 ? The bar lighting could be brighter.
Good location
A bit dated
Staff very friendly on check-in; Room and bathroom very clean; Good aircon, good size telly; Great breakfast; Also nice bar area, especially with the outdoor seating;
Nothing really
Posizione e cordialità. Colazione ok
La tenda nella doccia
Everything fine and as expected as we had stayed at this hotel before - except for one thing.
That one thing ruined our (luckily only one night) stay. No prior warning that the Air Conditioning was not working and it was stifling every minute we were in our room - and this wasn't during one of the 5 designated heatwaves this year, just normal August temperatures. The hotel obviously knew there was going to be problem in our room because two fans were already on and the curtains were closed when we checked in, but despite that it was so oppressive. We kept the two fans running all through our stay. There was only one window which was tethered to a couple of inches opening (for safety reasons) so that was no help. We couldn't sleep it was so hot, couldn't get dry after a shower, couldn't get dressed or put my make-up on - it just kept running off with the sweat. I hope those staying in other rooms, perhaps on a different aspect, didn't all share the experience.
The staff was very friendly and nice. very professional, downstairs looked decentwtih the coffee machine and the food available. parking was fine although a bit tight in spaces
The room was dated andthe carpet is used, it was ahot day and the aircon wasn't working and they replaced it with a fan the room just needs TLC
Clean room, good shower, nice breakfast - decent coffee etc
No air conditioning. Was awful. Horrible nights sleep. What annoyed me most was that there was no compensation for the lack of air conditioning - which was broken. It's a Holiday Inn chain not some dodgy B&B or independent cr&ppy hotel. When i spoke with reception in the morning they gave me a well rehearsed answer to say there rooms hadn't advertised they were air conditioned for two years - which i think is BS. I get air con. can break and it wasn't the hotel's fault it was very hot weather BUT they could inform you before you arrive to make alternative arrangements due to this or reduce the cost of the room.
Good breakfast choice. Rooms spacious.
Parts of the hotel are dated.
Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was a great selection
Plug sockets in the room were not working properly. The window opened but would not close again meaning there was a lot of noise from the town centre on a Saturday night.
Lovely friendly staff, easy check in and a great breakfast. All very clean. Great location for Warwick Castle and Kenilworth.
The air con wasn’t working so we only had a fan in the room which made it quite stuffy - didn’t affect the stay but AC would have been better!
Absolutely great location! 2 minute walk from the high street with easy directions. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Sheet was provided instead of duvet for this hot weather!
I had booked two double beds but when we arrived it was only one double bed, might have been misdirection on the site. There was no air con and in this weather it was stuffy and uncomfortable. A small fan was provided but not super helpful. Limited plug sockets. Facilities were clean but the shower dribbled water out of it, it was not hot
Location to Stonleigh park
Need new mattresses.
Nice location, easy to get to Lemington. Gym and pool was nice but dated. The maintenance came quickly to stop the air conditioning.
Air conditioning sounded like a helicopter in my room. So loud I could not sleep on the first night. Had asked for a quiet room, got the opposite! I had asked for 2 single beds but this was not available. Went to the bar but no one offered me a drink. Another guest allegedly, a man unlocked my room while I was changing. He said he had been given room 223 but I said clearly this was my room. I was very panicked and called emergency and reception but no one picked up. I was very upset and complained to reception. They assured me any other key cards had been cancelled, but i had to request this. How can this happen?
Fantastic breakfast Air conditioned in lower level floors Newly refurbished room in lower level too Friendly, welcoming staff Quick and easy check in / out
When we checked in we were allocated an old room on the top floor that was out dated with no usb points and only one double plug socket, which was being used up by two fans because there was no air con. It was unfortunate that it was 36 degrees outside, which I understand is out of the hotel’s control. After a very uncomfortable first night we asked to move down some floors in the hope the room would be cooler. The receptionist staff were very accommodating and thankfully had a room available, which had air con and was newly refurbished with a better shower (not a trickle!) and usb points.
Nice bar area. It was air conditioned, which was great seeing as it was 35 degrees outside.
We were staying one night to get away from the heat. But the bedrooms aren’t air conditioned!
Not applicable
No air conditioning, telephones removed, room small for the price.
Evening meal. Room size. Air con. Room phones. All designed to save money rather than enhance our stay
Very good size room excellent breakfast all the staff were very helpful and very pleasant ideal place to stay for national bowls final
Nothing
Staff, facilities, breakfast, cleanliness very good
Lack of AC in our room was unacceptable and caused us to have a sleepless uncomfortable night and the fans supplied in place of proper AC were noisy and only circulated hot air.
Handy location and nice bar with sitting out area. Good sized room with bathroom with bath.
Aircon not working but had fan in room. Aircon unit outside was noisy. Good overpriced in restaurant.
Good location on the high street and near the wedding venue I came for.
Horrific horrifically hot as there was no AC and no warning at all about this prior to staying. The hotel provided two measly desk fans which did very little to cool down the room. The bathroom was even worse, making us feel dizzy given the confined space
Staff helpful under difficult circumstances. Breakfasts good choices. Maintenance staff worked hard to rectify faults which should have been highlighted by housekeeping staff.
Lack of variety on meal menu. Card only payment at bar. Lack of air conditioning in bedroom not mentioned at check-in. Poor general maintenance resulting in us changing rooms twice.
Bedroom was clean. Bed comfortable. However, even though a fan was supplied and we had taken one with us, the room was still stuffy Breakfast was excellent
Stuffy room. Take fan with you
Location between the top of the high street and the big park, Abbey Fields and K Castle suited us as we stayed for one night for a family occasion. Staff were friendly and helpful and the public areas are reasonably smart and apparently clean. Our room was as only just big enough for two of us to open small cases and get around the beds. The outlook was awful, with a " view" of a filthy roof, and storerooms elsewhere in the building. We did have a/c which was too cold for me so we turned it off, though it wasnt quite the heatwave level of weather outside that weekend. Our breakfast experience was so poor that we ended up not paying for it. Overall, not a visit we will repeat, despite the low cost.
Location is good
There was no air conditioning in our room and it was extremely hot. Previously we have had aircon and didn't expect any different this time. Had we known we would have booked the other local hotel which is a similar price. £200 for 2 rooms without aircon is a bit excessive
The lack of working air conditioning is a big problem. It ruins the whole stay
Good location
No air conditioning in the peak of a heat wave / boiling hot pipes in bathroom that you couldn’t stand on the floor / family on other floor had air conditioning and we had 7 rooms booked all which didn’t have no air facilities. Terrible
Location
Was happy with it
Location
Very slow broadband
Please read and believe the reviews! We booked 2 rooms here as a stop off on our way back from our holiday. Unfortunately we trusted that it would be ok and didn't read the reviews first. Big mistake. We are diamond elite members and loyal to ihg , however this has left a bitter taste in our mouths! The hotel is dated, we had a premium room and a family room booked. The premium room had no working air conditioning, so was stifling. In contrast the family room air conditioning ran like a fridge? We couldn't change it. The sofa in the family room was not fit for purpose. Uncomfortable and just sheets thrown on it. The duvets for all beds were in the wardrobe? The family room just had one duvet. We padded the sofa bed out with that and used towels to cover us. The bar was poorly stocked. No draught beer at all available, and a few bottles in the fridge. And cans of pop. No j20 either. It was quiet, we ordered our food and sat. And waited. 45 minutes later still no food. So we went to find out what was happening. In the meantime my husband visited the toilets where he discovered a member of staff cleaning the toilets with a towel? He then carried the towel through, placed next to the coffee machine to talk, then carried the towel into the kitchen. At this point we decided not to eat. We cancelled the food and were assured we would be credited for it, as we used our rewards vouchers to pay. This never happened. We contacted IHG and were informed someone would be in touch asap. It took over a week to get a response, the manager was dismissive and we never got our rewards reinstated as promised. We feel very let down and definitely wouldn't return. We didn't risk eating breakfast and left early. We did laugh on our way out , as we walked past the "cleaner" on the way down the corridor, sat in a chair tucked round a corner scrolling on her phone. No wonder the standards are low. Very poorly managed. IHG should be ashamed.
Room fine, good position good breakfast, except the eggs were almost always cold.
There was a lot of muddle about towels, which we didn't want replaced, then there was only one and we had to ask for another.
Food
No aircon and they have it just wont fix it. So hot couldnt sleep. Say dont offer it. You expect it in a chain and for the money we paid. So dont book it. We wont ever book IHG again. No sockets near bed.Hotel is tired bits falling off ceiling. Its so shabby. Better elsewhere. Raised a complaint and nothing.
Location of the hotel
Nothing
We would not recommend this hotel, especially for families with young children or elderly guests, during warm weather. The biggest issue is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. A fan is provided, but it made very little difference. The room felt like a sauna, and I developed a headache after only a few minutes. The window could only be opened a small crack, so even the cooler evening air couldn’t circulate into the room. As a result, our family hardly slept at all. Although the room was clean, it looked very tired and in need of refurbishment. There were no power sockets near the beds and no USB charging ports anywhere in the room, which felt very outdated for a modern hotel. I also noticed an additional electric heater stored under the table, which made me wonder how cold the room must get during winter. The only parts of our stay that met expectations were the breakfast, which had a good selection, and the restaurant, which thankfully was air-conditioned. If you’re travelling in summer or during a heatwave, I would strongly recommend booking somewhere with proper air conditioning instead.
I thought that for £178 for one night and no air conditioning was quite steep. Room was clean and comfortable. Again when ordering a burger for a price of £18.50 for what looked like a small Tesco value burger, some pickle and a few fries was expensive. Luckily the fan provided meant that the heat in the room was alleviated for sleeping although it made a racket.
Bar, restaurant et petit déjeuner et surtout le personnel au top !
La salle de bain, pas de pression pour la douche et le toilette.
Location
No AC, only told about it once we said about it in the morning after the night of no AC.
How can a hotel offer a room with no aircon in the heat? Terrible
First room allocated - broken air-con with room temperature over 40 degrees - only a fan in room. Apparently it only has about 10 rooms left with working air con - they did find us one. It seems that owners do not respond to staff when reporting air con failure. Looking at some of the paintwork that would seem to be the case overall
I stayed here for 7 nights, earlier this month, on a work-related visit. I'd never been to Kenilworth before, let alone this particular hotel, and I'll be honest - when I read some of the previous Reviews I wasn't feeling too hopeful about the experience. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The friendly welcome and slick check-in was seamless. The room (#223) was spacious and perfectly adequate. And it had air-con, which was working efficiently. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of choices. (However, the coffee machine wasn't great), and the breakfast staff (especially Noi) were lovely.
Quick, easy check in. Close to cafes, restaurants and pubs. Parking in hotel car park.
It was great our room had been changed to one with air con. However, after taking the lift we had to go down a few stairs and down a corridor to get to our room. My partner has a disability and whilst he can walk a short distance this caused some difficulties due to the nature of his disability.
Staff that welcomed us were friendly and explained all details well, even filled our refillable water bottle with fresh water and ice.
The bathroom had mould stains in the ceiling, missing hand wash or soap and no toilet roll holder, the next day had a few aggressive knocks on the room door at 9am, even though I confirmed with the receptionist that check out was not until 11am, when lying down on the bed you can clearly feel the mattress springs not a comfy sleep at all.
The staff were friendly
Painfully hot room. No AC and unbearably hot as you can't open the windows far.
The reception staff were pleasant, the location was very good in the centre of Kenilworth. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy.
I didn't like the fact there was no air-conditioning in the rooms. The staff and service in the bar /restaurant was appalling. The staff were not very polite and the time spent waiting for the meal to arrive was disgusting, this had to be chased. Considering it is supposed to be a good place to stay, I will not be going back.
Advertised as air conditioned so booked and paid in advance for a last minute overnight stay. Parking was a nightmare, air con was broken. Had a really warm welcome from the staff on the desk and check in was easy. The room was clean but a little grubby and worn, staibs on the carpets and marks on the walls, bed reasonably comfortable but all the duvets had been removed due to the heatwave. Had to have the window open next to the main roundabout in the town and a fan on all night so got very little sleep, then to add insult to injury, housekeeping banged on the door at 8.30am despite an 11am check out time and woke me up again. I got up to have a shower ... I've stayed in lots of Holiday Inns over the years and I can categorically state this was the worst bathroom shower I have ever encountered. Haven't you heard of mould spray or scrubbing brushes? I decided not to bother and wet my hair under the tap. I darent even imagine what was on the handle of the hairdryer!!! When I reported this to the front desk on check out the response I got was "I've worked here years and I know how bad it is". Truly disgusting
5th floor standard room
Location
Poor shower facilities Tired decor and furnishings Broken aircon Window opened only tiny amount
Staff & food 100%
Attentive staff on front desk Nice breakfast Safety lift access I didn’t see any smokers or vapers which was brilliant 2 double beds
No air con TV connection was rubbish Room decor was a bit tired
Nice big room with two double beds - great view over Kenilworth
No air-con - stiflingly hot, the 2 small fans made little difference, very uncomfortable sleep.
2 double comfy beds
The room was extremely warm /close No air con so was incredibly difficult to stay in .
Firstly I have been an IHG member for 26 years. I live in holiday inn worldwide. I have stayed at this hotel for 29 weeks for work in the last year(my mistake) purely as I collect points. I have seen everything here from the wobbly steps that greet you with the wood holding them up to nearly everything not working. Elevators, tvs, refrigerators, toasters, lazy staff, air conditioning the list is endless. The worst thing is the repetitive lies I hear being told! This week was the final straw. You could not breathe in the bedroom it was so hot! In the night I had two hours sleep in the car with the AC on!!!!! The staff say all rooms have no AC working. This isn’t true!! Do they not think guest talk to each other?? They have fans in the room but they can do nothing and windows you cannot open more than 100mm. They have a plug in heater for winter as it was freezing in the room then! The rooms are tired and. Cleaning is poor. This week again I removed the bathroom sink plug myself to unblock it as it wouldn’t drain. They have painted the rooms over the last year but it is just papering over the cracks! This is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in including stays in Nigeria! Prices here fluctuate due to the NEC and I have paid up to £245/night for the same rubbish (more fool me) Avoid at all costs. I have checked out and will NEVER return! I have made a formal complaint to IHG this hotel shouldn’t be associated with the brand.
No Aircon in the rooms. Total lie that this was available. AC works in the bar and the hallways, but the rooms are topping 35 degrees at 9pm. No chance of a 4 and 6 year old sleeping. I spotted a couple with a baby in the lobby waiting for their room, these are dangerous temperatures for a child. Terrible terrible terrible.
not much!
old furniture; quite dirty
Close to our venue and very cool room in the heat. Very clean and fairly spacious family room.
Out side looking very sad. Rubbish and all plants dead.
Breakfast was the only thing we can say that we approved of.
We had booked 4 rooms for 3 nights, Problems with booking upon arrival. Unhelpful & Lack of staff to cover reception & bar areas Hotel is now very tried & run down. Very poor standard & lack of food.
Location and generally clean
On a warm day it was unbelievably hot. Room really kept the heat and was not habitable. Aircon not working
I am extremely disappointed with our stay. The room was unbearably hot, with no air conditioning, despite my husband's room having air conditioning installed. This inconsistency made no sense and had a significant impact on our comfort. To make matters worse, we were unable to open the windows, leaving us with no ventilation at all. I was staying with my disabled son, and the lack of fresh air made the room almost impossible to stay in. We could hardly breathe, and it was an incredibly distressing experience. The telephone in our room was also not working, which meant I couldn't get hold of anyone at reception. We repeatedly tried to contact reception throughout the evening for assistance but were unable to reach anyone. Being unable to get help when we needed it was completely unacceptable. Overall, the conditions were terrible, and I would not expect guests—especially those with disabled family members—to be left in such an uncomfortable and unsafe environment. This experience fell well below the standard we expected.

The receptionist was helpful and agreed to cancel and refund the reservation. The room looked clean, although I did not have a chance to use it. The hotel should be a reasonable value for money in colder times of the year.
The hotel owners decided to switch off the air conditioning on the hottest day. The room was unlivable: a portable fan was circulating hot air. Many families were sitting in the air-conditioned lobby.
N/a
That’s not air conditioning in the place. Because of the hot weather, my wife asked for another fan. They just gave around 1am. Terrible situation.
Breakfast was nice although wasn't much left/replenished
Broken travel cots and leaking air conditioning. The travel cot provided and put up in our room was snapped underneath and whoever put it up knew this. It collapsed on our baby when we put her in it. And we asked for another. The alternative was ripped, broken and disgusting. We asked for another and they never returned, apologized or explained. The baby slept in the double bed and I sat up to make sure she was safe. Usually we'd bring our own but we'd just been camping for a week so didn't have room for one.
Location. Receptionist working very hard but with little power - see below.
Some rooms have aircon and some not. The standard line is there is none and then reception and breakfast room feels like a fridge. Some rooms do have cold air but controls impossible to navigate. Staff unable to allocate rooms according to aircon during a heatwave. Seems to be a management directive. We had one in our party that wanted aircon and one who happy without but they were unable to do anything!
The location.
Hotel not as described. None of the air conditioning was working. Both rooms with air conditioning not working. No rooms available to move to that had working air con. Staff said it had been a problem for years. Hotel should not be advertising that the rooms have air-conditioning. Lots of guests were complaining. My garmin registered the room as 30°C, I was taking cold showers every few hours to keep cool. Very poor. Staff were unapologetic blaming the owners of the building.
It was conveniently located and competitively priced
The air conditioning in our room wasn’t working….on the hottest day of the year! The heat was unbearable. We were travelling with our dog who became quite distressed very quickly. My husband went to reception to ask for someone to come and take a look. The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, jumping down his throat immediately to tell him that all they were obliged to do was provide a fan. We booked ourselves into another hotel and left immediately. I appreciate that these were freak weather conditions but she didn’t offer any alternative room. Horrible.
Location and staff
Cleanance level
Very helpful and friendly staff Good location Comfortable stay
All was good overall
Cool with AC quiet and clean
Slight smell in room, could have been fresher
Unfortunately the hotel had it's air conditioning turned off which made the rooms unbearable hot. They had put fans in the rooms but over the heat wave, these didn't take the edge off
No AC in room and couldn't open window on hottest day/ night of the year.
No AC
It was close to the event I was attending.
NO AIRCONDITIONING IN THE BEDROOMS! I booked a so-called Executive Room. It was over 34 degrees outside and the only ventilation was a poxy little desk fan. There is air conditioning installed but it doesn’t work and this appears to be a permanent state of affairs, a conscious decision by the owners.I suspect it is freezing in winter and the heating doesn’t work, either, as there was an electric radiator standing in the room. I hadn’t realised Holiday Inn is a franchise. This particular one (Kenilworth) is owned by an asset management company since 2017. They have no interest in hospitality and it shows, badly. They want your money but have no interest in your well being. Nor do they seem interested in repeat customers. I can firmly say this was my first and last time, ever, in a Holiday Inn. The staff were lovely, but even they seemed to be embarrassed to be working there. I suspect working on behalf of an asset management company in the hospitality industry is pretty soul destroying., at least this particular one. People were lining up at the reception desk to complain about the lack of air conditioning. They couldn’t even provide an extra fan on request.
Avoid at all costs. I booked a so-called Executive Room. No air conditioning in the bedrooms although there was a unit installed, it doesn’t work. This wasn’t a one-off, it’s a deliberate decision by the owners. Who are an asset management company, not a hospitality business. I hadn’t realised Holiday Inn is a franchise. It looks like the whole system has been decommissioned as there was an electric heater standing in the bedroom, so I expect it’s also freezing in winter. The staff seemed embarrassed to be working there. I don’t blame them.
The Air Con was not working. The telephone was also not working followed by the TV. The windows don't open much so you can't get air circulation.
I written to the hotel manager and no one has replied. I think it's a complete lack of care towards guests by the staff.
Location. Facilities. Staff.
Nothing
Check in. The room. The view from the room. The large bed. Everything was clean. The restaurant. The breakfast. Check out.
No toilet brush. No disposal bin for female sanitary needs. No instructions for telephone use. Air conditioning not working. £5 for a 750ml bottle of water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't expecting much, but it's actually not terrible. I suppose I was in a standard room that has already been refurbished, but it didn't live up to their claim that I could "relax in modern, spacious rooms with thoughtful amenities". Mine was small and seemed utilitiarian - the wardrobe has been replaced with some shelves and a place to hang your clothes, which I suppose solves the problem that opening the doors would block the entrance to the bathroom but makes it seem more like a budget hotel. The shower was OK, but bizarrely the controls are at the opposite end of the cubicle from the shower head. No toilet roll holder. They don't seem to advertise aircon, but maybe you'll be lucky and find the one in your room works. Mine didn't so I opened the window, though I couldn't understand how to close it and it could be noisy with a pub just across the road. It's very strange to me that a TV in 2026 can only have SD channels and nothing in High Definition, but that's only a minor annoyance. On the other hand, the WiFi was good and no need to log in. There are two small lifts, and one was out of order for some of the time, which was not really a problem for me but might be for others. Breakfast was a decent buffet, nothing to complain about there! If I'd paid around £70 a night I'd probably be reasonably satisfied. Having paid rather more I feel it's reasonable to moan about a slightly underwhelming experience. If you have paid a lot more than I did you will probably be even more upset.
