Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Comfortable room, good food at breakfast and dinner in the evening. Lovely staff, Satyam very helpful, and altogether a relaxing weekend, thank you.
All good.
The bar area and dining restaurant. Evening meal and service very good.
I booked two rooms . Mine was fine but paid extra for my son and wife’s room for a very special treat. On entering their room we noticed 2fans but what we did not know was the air conditioning was not working. After a really nice evening we retired to our rooms .The next morning we met for breakfast, I had a nice sleep but my son and wife’s was exhausted from no sleep because the room was unbearable hot and caused them to be unable to sleep. The fans were old and load so were turned off. My son was Graduating at the University but spent what should have been a special day tired and exhausted. Not what you expect from such a nice hotel. After the ceremony he then had a 3 hour drive back home feeling exhausted. And I felt I had let him down for choosing to stay at your hotel. I would have expected that at Travel Lodge. 😡
Good clean accommodation
All good
As someone with a gluten intolerance it was nice to see a designated area for those with allergens at the breakfast bar. The food was good and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good.
The height of the bath tub to get into the shower was unnerving, I am fit and healthy and even I found it difficult to ensure that I did not fall over when getting out of the tub, the rail is helpful but it is calling for an incident waiting to happen for someone a lot more immobile especially if the ground gets slippery and wet. Just something to be mindful of. There was also pet hair all over the carpet and the bed was not made very well so at first we thought we walked into the wrong room! Overall the room was ok, and not worth the money we paid I am afraid.
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of dishes. Dinner was also very good. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was well designed. There was plenty of car parking. The staff were well trained and attentive.
Nothing comes to mind.
The location , easy to park , lots to do in the area
The receptionist, very rude. The breakfast....poor quality
Excellent hotel with great staff, clean rooms with all amenities available.Excellent breakfast with great choice available
All good.
The bar the outside area the cleanliness parking onsite
Thought the restaurant was a bit canteenish and the evening meal not brilliant. However the breakfast was excellent
E!Xcellent breakfast, good location, comfortable room and friendly staff.
Unable to get a dessert from the menu that was not either vegan or vegetarian.
Great location and dog friendly
Need to think for better location of dog rooms
Fabulous hotel inBeautiful gardens
Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Breakfast was as you’d expect in any hotel. Great value for money.
The restaurant prices were a tad high for a dinner, but the food was tasty. The hotel walls are a little thin, we could hear the couple next door arguing!
Good location, nice hotel, amazing breakfast!
Nothing it’s really nice.
Excellent service from all staff great rooms and food a very professional hotel
Clean and comfortable. Did find our room a little dark
Was quite a lot of rubbish lying around the grounds. We had show dogs with us and had to always watch what they wee picking up on their walks
Everything. Especially the pool. It was a very peaceful 2 nights break. Vegetarian option on menu was delicious. Breakfast was perfect.
All good.
Excellent, staff were amazing and dog friendly hotel
Very comfortable room, dog friendly
Will need refurbishing soon
They were pet friendly very friendly reception staff handy for Stoneleigh
Lovely hotel, very polite and friendly staff. Nice rooms ,comfy bed .
There isn't anything not to like .
Breakfast was lovely. Amazing choices. We did pay extra for this which was chargeable at the hotel: £17.
The smallest of reasons for the reduction in score. I did choose the king/queen size room due to the fact there would be a larger bed, which there was. I dont like that it is actually 2 singles pushed together and covered with a mattress topper to try and cover the gap in between, this made it rather uncomfortable if you wanted to roll over to the other side. As I said smallest of reasons for reduction.
Room size and the hotel decoration

The gardens and outdoor areas are lovely
The pool area smelt of urine near the male changing area. It was hardly a spa experience. The food was average and over priced. The rooms are looking shabby and dated. I have stayed here a number of times and the aircon/heating has never been working in the various rooms I have stayed in.
Stunning hotel
Incredible
Everything
I found no fault with anything
The family room was spacious and clean. It was quiet most of the time - ideal for a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. The restaurant area was lovely and all the staff serving the breakfast were really nice.
The restaurant doesn't open until quite late so we had to eat dinner in the bar (we have young kids so usually feed them at about 5pm). We ordered from the bar menu and children's menu. The adult food was expensive but we didn't enjoy our meals. The bar area felt unfriendly and not very clean. When I went to the bathroom a waitress was also in there and she left the bathroom without washing her hands, which was very off-putting given that she would likely be touching our food/cutlery. We were a bit disappointed when we went to the pool - it was tiny and too full of people to actually swim in.
All facilities were of good standard
The pillows
Wonderful location, comfy bed, great food, lovely staff.
Drinks are expensive, room needed an extra wipe (dust on kettle) and pool needs more adult only time (just 6-7 means it’s too busy and with it being bank hol we had no option Monday morning)
Car park, efficient reception on arrival
Tv didn’t work, neither did phone in room
Calm and luxurious atmosphere

Very friendly staff and really comfortable rooms. Excellent food and dining facilities
Excellent breakfast . Extremely helpful and friendly staff . Rooms not together because our room was upgraded . Room was great unfortunately the air con was broken but we were given extra fans and elected to stay in the room . Staff very helpful and concerned . Chocolates and card a nice touch .
Working air con would have made it all great
Quiet comfortable room as always plenty of selection for breakfast,
Evening menu a tad boring but sufficient, unfortunately we had a minor issue with the drainage from the wash basin which was reported on checking out
Location and cleanliness
Cannot pick a fault
Very welcoming
Slightly out the way from town centre but not a problem
Staff. Particularly Amy and Ruby who went over and above
Nothing
The size of the complex
Fantastic hotel if you take your dog. Lovely grounds for walks with your dog. Breakfast was great.
Very clean well kept hotel. Staff always ready to help. Outside seating for eating and drinking very pleasant. Plenty of parking would recomend and go again. Bedrooms well decorated and clean .
Bedroom had bath with shower over and we're high. Some people could find them difficult to get in even though they have a handle to hold for support.
Good location
Food poor quality
The room was a great size and well laid out.
The only slight downfall was in the bathroom. Behind the shower taps were some mould marks. They need to be kept on top of with a strong mould remover.
Good location
Outside area by pool could do with a bit of a tidy up to make more appealing
The location , the staff were lovly
Some of the facilities qere not the best the air con in particular was disappointing
Location great. Close to Kenilworth for bars and restaurants
Nice bar and lounge area. Stunning decor
Nothing
Excellent hotel half way between where the friends we were meeting lived and our address. Spacious car park and grounds with gym / spa / swimming pool facilities. Hotel and room were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well maintained. The Aircon was very welcome in the heatwave! The staff were friendly, efficient and there were enough of them to ensure 1st class service. The meal we had in the Riverview Restaurant was of a very high standard, delicious and served promptly being hot for all 4 of us despite different orders. Will definitely return.
Sadly the fried eggs were a bit old and rubbery on the Breakfast Buffet, and a high separate charge if you wanted different eggs. Other than this a very good breakfast in a lovely dining room.
Easy to find. Nice facilities. Clean.

Location, rooms, food but mainly the staff.
A spacious hotel with plenty of areas to sit and talk , get a drink and relax. Decent options for food and rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces. The breakfast was good and they coped well with the large numbers of people.
Nothing
Staff were very pleasant and the resturant staff coped well with an apparent unplanned increase in the number of people taking meals on Sunday evening.
Electrical fault meaning one light above headboard in room 422 was not working. Clearly had not been checked by staff prior to room use.
Convenient to our evening destination and for the A46
Parking was a nightmare I would have liked it to be more obvious that we could have pre booked oarking
Great hotel
The food choice wasn't great and very overpriced for the quality.
Cleanliness and comfort are excellent. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty to choose from.
Could not easily access the room due to the very small depth of step on the final flight of stairs. Could not reach air conditioning to turn it off in the middle of the night. I was unable to balance on the only chair available in order to reach the switch. Perhaps a cane or similar could be available in the room. The background noise from the conditioning generators(or whatever they were) on the flat roof directly outside the bedroom window disturbed my sleep. Parking when returning to the hotel at night was very difficult. I ended up mounting a curb in order to park on the grass.
The air con didn’t work properly in my room
Extensive grounds and lots of parking.
The pool was occupied with the general public and very busy and small.
Clean and comfortable as expected Nice room with air con .
Unfortunately on the Friday night we we decided to have dinner in the restaurant, it was short staffed which caused a long delay for the food order to be taken, and even longer for the food to arrive.
Great staff made the stay very welcoming. Special thanks to Rohith!
Thank you to Rohit for his smile and lovely hospitality! You made us feel so welcome
My stay at Chesford Grange was so lovely. The amenities and rooms were great and the service was amazing, especially by Rohith who was so friendly and kind.
Very friendly staff, clean and good sized rooms. Catered really well for people with dogs.
Nothing.
We’ve stayed here before. Its proximity to Leamington, pool facilities, air conditioned rooms and great breakfasts are what appeal to us.
It’s sometimes hard to find a parking space as the pool and gym facilities are used by non-staying members.
Well located, with good parking and recharging points. Rooms clean and comfortable, selection at breakfast satisfactory, evening meals good selection but pricey and food quality very poor, some of the worst I’ve had in a long time, stay clear of fish and chips, all dishes nicely presented but tasteless and quality of cooking poor, portion size of cheese board tiny . Poor check in experience with no explanations given of the various forms shoved at me and instructed to complete. Told room 2 floors up to room, in lift, but not that reception was on floor 2, confusing!
Hotel is very nicely decorated with nice seating areas, also nice outdoor area to sit and unwind. Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Waiters went above and beyond and gave exceptional service . As we had our dog with us we ate in the bar area, which again was very comfortable . It was ideal for us as it was nice quite and relaxed ,compared to the main restaurant . The room was absolutely spot on for our dog as it was ground floor with a door opening up onto a large field area. We will definitely be re visiting this hotel and would absolutely recommend it.
The cleanliness of the bedroom floor.
Lovely comfortable large rooms, friendly staff, good food

Service
Great service, friendly staff
Room was not ready when we arrived at 3.15
Super friendly staff, very attentive, clean everywhere, calm spaces, big car park, a/c in rooms, lovely setting and atmosphere. Very comfy bed and high quality sheets and towels
A/C fan was noisy
A very nice weekend break. Room comfortable and very clean. Hotel facilities excellent and all staff very friendly, cheerful and efficient. Did not have evening meals but breakfasts were very good with wide range of choices to suit every taste. Conveniently located with ample parking. Will definately return when visiting this part of england
Big, varied, quiet in parts. Spacious rooms.
The property was brilliant and the staff in person were wonderful. However the comms beforehand was awful and it almost made me cancel the booking.
Good location, lovely food, dog friendly
Upgraded to a room that had patio doors opening onto a patio and grassed area so our dog could have easier access to toilet and also so we could sit out on the patio on an evening but on arrival we could not access the area due to a wasp nest and wasps right outside our area also a broken and leaking roof/guttering that had also broken off and fell onto the patio area where the chairs were and was dripping water all over. Spoke to reception to be told take it up with booking.com as we had booked through them. Which have done and the outcome was £24.75 refund from hotel which I think is diabolical considering I paid over £200 for a room that couldn't be used as required. I'm really disappointed in the hotel as have stayed previously and was lovely, hence why it was booked again, safe to say I won't be booking with them again.
A very enjoyable stay with excellent and friendly service We had a very enjoyable stay at Chesford Grange. We booked a Classic Family Room, which had one double bed and a sofa bed, as described on the hotel website. The room was clean and had a very good, powerful shower. When we first arrived, unfortunately the room was not cool enough and felt uncomfortable. We spoke to Kumar, who immediately arranged for someone to come up and check the room. We really appreciated how quickly he responded and tried to resolve the issue for us. The following morning, during breakfast, Kumar kindly continued to assist us and helped us speak with Gavin, the Front Office Manager. Gavin was very understanding and helped arrange for us to move to a much larger room with two double beds and much better air conditioning. The new room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We were also given complimentary drinks, which was a lovely and thoughtful gesture. What impressed us most was the friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel. Everyone we met was welcoming, polite and genuinely helpful. We felt very welcome throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed using the swimming pool and Leisure Club. The Leisure Club staff were very friendly and helpful, and kindly assisted us with booking a swimming pool time slot, which made things much easier for our family. Although we initially experienced an issue with the temperature of our first room, the way the team handled it turned the situation into a very positive experience. Kumar and Gavin both went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we really appreciated their professionalism, kindness and willingness to help. A special thank you to Kumar, Gavin and all the staff who looked after us during our stay. Your hospitality made a real difference, and we would be very happy to stay at Chesford Grange again.
Excellent location for our two night stay. The room was spotlessly clean, large comfortable bed, and spacious shower room. Excellent breakfast included during our stay. Friendly and very helpful staff throughout the hotel. This is our second break at this hotel, and will certainly return again.
Very modern great location

None fuse quick efficient check in. Warm welcome and addressed any questions or concerns. Rooms spotless, big with all facilities working. Bar and restaurant staff extremely accommodating, our party ranged from a toddler up to people in their 80's and everything was accommodated for without and compliants. They even went as far to create my father's favourite dessert dish for his 81st Birthday. Will definitely be coming back as there is lots to see and do in this area.
The lovely room, outdoor space for eating and to walk our puppy.
Nothing, it was brilliant as were the staff
Sam was brilliant, very helpful
Sam was amazing what a genuine guy!!! So nice & the hotel & food was lovely
Very clean and well kept grounds, clean rooms and decent air-conditioning.
Price variance day to day is huge, it was convenient for us to stay an additional night, but that cost double the room rate, so felt a bit ripped off for booking in advance, should have just waited and booked last minute.
We loved our stay here: we stopped off as a half way point on a drive up to the Lakes so we just wanted a dog friendly stay. This exceeded our expectations and we really felt like it started our holiday off. Our dog was made so welcome, we had a lovely meal on the Terrace and the rooms were lovely. The staff were great. We’d definitely stay again.
A disappointing experience. Over priced rooms, poor spa facilities & unhelpful staff. We visited this 'luxury' hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday. Sadly, our experience wasn't great. The spa facilities are cramped and the pool was full of screaming children. The gym is reasonably well equipped, but doesn't open until 8am on Sunday mornings, consequey, despite the spa reception being staffed, I was left sitting on the steps outside the gym for 20 minutes watching the clock tick down until the jobsworth child in the spa reception could open up for me. 'It is what it is" he unhelpfully replied when I suggested that 8am is late for most regular gym goers. Do not book this hotel for its leisure facilities - they will disappoint!
A lovely hotel and great staff. We had fabulous service from Chirag and colleagues. Went with two young kids. Would 100% recommend. Thanks for a great stay.
We went there for 2 days short staycation, we found the hotel to be nice location, good value for money, nice staff, spacious room, car park space and charging points worked well.
I attended the bar, at around 8 o’clock a few days ago, The staff at the bar were excellent, especially Elliot, Perfect Guiness Poured, Mich Appricated, Will return 👍
A lovely place to stay. Really well located for surrounding attractions. Excellent spa treatments and good leisure facilities. All staff were really helpful but especially the staff in the leisure reception and spa who couldn’t do enough for us. They were really polite and helpful. We had a wonderful break at this hotel.
Breakfast - very good - good staff
Our room was good but unfortunately it was built for a disabled occupancy which my wife & I are not. So it was a spacious room but a tad less comfortable than a normal room would have been . Not a problem though!
Our stay at Chesford Grange couldn't have been better. The room was clean and comfortable, dinner at the restaurant was delicious and good value, the pool wasn't huge but more than big enough for us to have a splash around, and breakfast was lovely, with loads of choice. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and accommodating and really made us feel at home. Will happily return if in this part of the country again.
The room was very comfortable and gave direct access to the garden for the dog Lots of choice at breakfast
Room wasn’t ready at the given check in time so we had to wait around Only two coffee machines working at breakfast with lots of guests. Meant a big queue for coffee in the morning The field is overrun by rabbits (bit of a challenge if you have a prey driven dog!)
Great place to stay. Delicious food and friendly service team! Rooms were very clean, a great size and comfy beds! Not a complaint to be had from me!!
All staff friendly, welcoming and professional. Room very clean and in quiet part of hotel.
Bathroom towels rather thin, rough and perhaps would benefit from replacement.
We come here regularly - it’s a nice hotel and a good location for visiting some National Trust properties and Leamington Spa.
nothing
Friendly service, plenty of activities, fooď.
At breakfast , queues for teas and coffees, made coordinating rest of breakfast awkward.
Really good stay with our dog. The room was great and easy for the dog

The Chesford Grange Hotel is situated in Kenilworth, near Warwick. This was my third visit to this wonderful hotel. It is near Kenilworth Castle which is an English Heritage property, full of history and beauty. I love to take children to both Kenilworth and also Warwick Castle and this hotel is a perfect location for a visit to this lovely part of the country with Stratford Upon Avon as another fascinating cultural destination. The hotel has lovely big grounds and a swimming pool as well which adds to the holiday atmosphere and makes visiting such a special treat. Children are free to play and there are slots for children to use the pool, meaning that adults also get times when they can swim quietly. The staff at this hotel are all so welcoming and friendly and always happy to help and advise. From the reception to the restaurant, bar, and leisure club all staff were wonderful and the place felt as always, happy and friendly. The room we used was a family room consisiting of two comfortable double beds, a huge TV and a lovely big bathroom. We found the room to be clean and well equipped with tea making facilities and even a fridge with complimentary bottles of water. The hotel also provided a fan to keep us cool and comfortable in the heat of August. The hotel is large and was clearly busy but we could not hear any noise from outside or from other rooms - hopefully that was the case for other guests as my children are quiet noisy sometimes! The substantial building and spacious accommodation really feels comfortable, peaceful and safe. The breakfast is fantastic. There is every possible option available - from a cooked breakfast to fresh fruits, yoghurts and pastries - abundant and cooked fresh. If you are looking for a really lovely treat, I highly recommend this fabulous hotel and I intend to visit again. It will always be my first choice when visiting the area. Thanks to all at Chesford Grange for all your wonderful efforts.
My room and bathroom was covered in black spot mould and the bedroom ceiling was water damaged and damp. I was offered another room on the ground floor that also had black mould on the walls and woodwork. Unsurprisingly, I refused that, too. I was offered the l last free room in the hotel on the 4th floor, which didn't have mould in the bedroom only the bathroom. So faced with no alternative, on the night before my graduation I slept in a room that I knew was damp and worried my exzema would flare up before my big day (damp and mould is not ideal for skin conditions) I tried to sleep. My complaint and request for a refund was refused. Apparently, Chesford Grange think it's acceptable for their guests to sleep in mouldy rooms - AVOID!
