I like being able to parky car right outside of my room as I am disabled.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location was nice, good walks nearby. Quiet rooms except for people in adjoining room crashing the doors early in the morning.

Hard bed. Shower was leaky and loo seat was loose. Not much hanging space for clothes.

The room we stayed in wasn't to a good standard. The bathroom was disappointing the flooring in the main room was scruffy looking. On my previous visit I was given a key to a room that was already occupied and walked in to a gentleman asleep on the bed. Whilst checking in this time a guest came to reception to say she had been given a key to a room that was already occupied

Extremely clean second stay here this year would certainly stay again but would request a room to avoid cardiac hill!

It’s a favourite stop when I visit the area with my dog. I love everything about it. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely and the location is beautiful. I visit by myself and my dog and there’s always a warm welcome in the bar.

I did struggled to get parked the first night this time due to a wedding but within a couple of hours It quietened down and then spaces became free so I was able to move my vehicle to a More suitable place . It wasn’t a major issue

Schöne Lage etwas außerhalb von Maidstone, die Zimmer sind über ein weitlläufiges, begrüntes Gelände verteilt, es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze. Das angschlossene Gasthaus ist sehr gemütlich und rustikal mit einer Terasse, auf der man bei schönem Wetter sitzen kann. Gutes Essen, leckeres englisches Frühstück. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Cottage in stile inglese, il loro pub di fronte alle camere proponeva una cucina tipica , con carne e dolci davvero buonissimi! Letto matrimoniale un po' piccolo ma comodissimo!

Il bagno, aveva la doccia senza tenda per cui ad ogni utilizzo si allagava tutto, disponeva poi di due lavandini di cui uno aveva una fuoriuscita di acqua con una pressione minima. Il locale dove si fa colazione , "apparentemente" pulito, mi sono accorta che nella brocca del latte sul mio tavolo, c'erano due mosche morte... Inoltre, l'ultima notte di permanenza, è mancata l'acqua in tutta la zona, compreso l'hotel...che disagio!

An exceptional stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Blackhorse Inn. Both accommodation and the pub were charming and the facilities were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the meal we had for dinner was delicious.

Our only downside was, we couldn’t stay any longer!

Accessibility rooms are excellent.

Wet room is a super resource for less able guests but I still have to ‘get’ the technique. As floor to door remains wet after short shower and loo is in shared space..

The reception automatically added four breakfasts to my room, even though I had booked without, and I had specifically mentioned that we only wanted breakfast on the second day, but were happy to pay separately. There are a lot of rooms in annexes, so you are not sleeping in the pub itself. The room was noisy. You could clearly hear the next door guests showering, and talking. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade. There was a note to hang towels on the door if you wanted to reuse them, and then there was no hook to hang them. The site mentions it is a four star, but it is not. It is barely three star in my opinion.

The room was spacious and clean with comfortable bed, good tea/coffee provided and toiletries. Ample parking available and a warm welcome was extended. Nice maps showing the area and walking routes in an outstanding area of natural beauty, a really stunning location, The food and service available at the pub was first class with plenty of choice, including vegetarian, and locally sourced food freshly cooked on the premises. The pub itself had kept all it's original charm, beautifully decorated and even included fresh flowers on the tables.

The lower buildings require quite a steep walk up a hill, unless you drive up, but it keeps you fit. Would have been good to have a fridge in the room.

Fabulous food (such as skate wing as a fish special), and also, they had several GF options. There is plenty of seating inside in lovely snugg spaces and also extensive outdoor seating. The staff were both very professional and friendly. Also, 2 GF beers were available on tap at the bar - my husband with Coeliac disease was so happy! It's a lovely peaceful area and so we slept well in the very comfortable bed.

It's a shame that the sausages at breakfast contained gluten. So many GF sausages are now available that it's disappointing The Black Horse didn't have any.

Large comfy rooms, excellent pub to spend the evening in. Good shower and room had iron/board and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was fab too!

I like that this pub is here. We were walking the Pilgrims Way and it provided a convenient overnight stop. The pub building is lovely and the bar offered a great selection of local beers. The staff were friendly.

We dined at the pub. The food was expensive given the quality - over-described and under-delivered. Breakfast was a long-winded and stressful affair. We were keen to make an early start on our walk because of the heat, but it took over an hour to get breakfast. Again, it was not worth the money. There was a very helpful and friendly woman waiting on tables who kept apologising for the delay, but a colleague of hers kept stomping around huffing and puffing. Not a great start to the day. The accommodation was basic but ok. There were too many lights outside the room at night such that it was so bright in the room (even sith blind and curtains shut) that it was hard to sleep.

The food was fantastic, the setting was beautiful. The staff were brilliant.

They advertised car charging but the rate (which might not be the hotels fault) is the same for a 7kwh charger as it is to charge at a motorway super fast charger.

-Das Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sauber. -Das Frühstück war gut. -Der Service in der Anlage war gut organisiert und freundlich. -Der Service im Pub hat uns super gefallen und das Essen war ein Erlebnis (Pan Roasted Duck Breast & Pan Roasted Lamb Rump & Sticky Toffee Pudding).

Das Zimmer (Sweet William) wirkte kühl, trotzdem die Innenausstattung geschmackvoll war. Das Badezimmer war sehr abgewohnt und deswegen war es nicht einladen. Es war aber sauber und deswegen für uns ok.

Die Unterkunft liegt wirklich herrlich in den Feldern von Kent. Zu Füssen einer Burgruine am Pilgerweg zum Grab von Thomas Becket. Das Personal ist sehr nett und das Familienzimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Der Pub ist sehr gut und verfügt über einen Biergarten. Das optionale Frühstück ist sehr gut. Die Unterkunft eignet sich sehr gut als Stopp nach der Fähre. Maidstone und die Umgebung haben aber auch einiges zu bieten um noch eine Nacht länger zu bleiben.

Einzig für die Preise ziehe ich einen Punkt ab. Aber das trifft auf alle Unterkünfte in Großbritannien zu.

Fantastic old country pub with excellent food and beer. Whole complex of accommodation extending down the hillside beyond the pub. Really nice little room.

Ir was hosting a wedding. Parking was a nightmare. I’d strongly suggest they allow reserved parking for those staying in their accommodation. They may also need to consider aircon in all their accommodation for future summers.

Tolles Hotel mit Hunden und gute Lage für den Eurotunnel. Wir gehen seit 13 Jahren ins Black Horse Inn und sind immer sehr zufrieden. Was wir auch schätzen, dass wir immer nahe zum Zimmer parkieren können. Die Gastfreundlichkeit schätzen wir auch immer sehr.

THE WALK UP THE HILL FROM THE ACCOMADATION MAY BE AN ISSUE FOR SOME

My husband and I, with our golden retriever dog stayed here while attending the Kent County Show. I had read the good reviews which was why we booked it and I have to say we were not disappointed. I have never stayed in such a friendly helpful and well run establishment. They are very dog friendly and supplied him with towels and blankets! The food was excellent and eating outside on a hot evening under their delightful shady pergolas was a great pleasure. The service throughout was outstanding. Having our own parking spot right outside our room was an excellent bonus. The friendly and helpful staff were a refreshing change after so many other ordinary places. I can really recommend this charming and very comfortable hotel.

La struttura è immersa nel verde, la si raggiunge dopo un bel tratto di strada completamente immerso nella campagna. Check in rapido alla reception, personale all’accoglienza gentile e disponibile. Ottima la colazione (disponibilità di latte vegetale, basta chiedere! E alternativa vegetale anche nell’english breakfast), che si svolge nel pub della struttura, in classico stile inglese. Ampia disponibilità di parcheggio. Camera e bagno puliti e spaziosi.

Wir waren froh, dass wir am selben Ort zu Abend essen konnten und dass das Hotel Parkplätze anbietet.

Der Boden unseres Zimmers war schmutzig und klebrig. Stellenweise roch es nach Urin. Wir baten die Rezeptionistin, dem Reinigungspersonal den Auftrag zugeben, den Boden am nächsten Tag gründlich zu reinigen. Es wurde uns versprochen, dass es erledigt werde. Nichts geschah! Das Frühstücksbuffet ist kläglich. Auch im Frühstücksraum war alles schmuddelig.

Das Black Horse Inn ist ein sehr schönes B&B. Pub, Restaurant und das gesamte Ambiente sind einzigartig. Tolles Personal. Man kommt von dort perfekt mit dem Auto zur O2 Arena. Somit kann man sich London individuell erschließen.

Von mir ein freundlicher Hinweis: Ich war jetzt schon zum vierten Mal dort. Es ist immer die letzte Station auf unseren UK-Touren. Es ist zwingend notwendig - an den Cottages im unteren Bereich und an den Blumenbeeten - einige Schönheitsreparaturen vorzunehmen. Ansonsten bin ich mit der Unterkunft sehr zur zufrieden.

I would have preferred a walk-in shower as I found it difficult to get in the bath. However the bathroom was fine.
