Not much to like about it, it’s dated and my experience was horrendous

I was given a room with no electric then offered a different room type as alternative.

Basically clean, well appointed, and in terms of the physical comfort and size of the room, all pretty good. Shower was good, bathroom very clean.

There was an odd smell in the room - despite the window being open as far as it would go, on arrival. The odour never really went. It was OK, not really noticeable after a few minutes but not at all welcoming. Not something that anyone can do much about but the walls are *not* very soundproof.

The staff were so friendly after a long drive, they pointed us to the closest pub for dinner along with local info that was very helpful. This allowed us a lively walk instead of more driving. Much appreciated.

Lovely helpful staff & brilliant value for money

Good location. Free parking. Good size room. Sturdy Sofa bed (we were a party of 3). Decent toilet. Decent water heater in room for tea.

Wifi was not working - the entire time. The staff couldn't fix it even after complaining.

The family room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel is currently a very busy & noisy construction site, there is major construction work in progress, they are extending parking & there is no mention of this on their site or when booking, we were woken on the first morning at 04:20 by people talking in the corridor and this is far from satisfactory.

Excellent location for touring so many attractions

I was hiking so the location was very difficult and even dangerous to manage.

Spider webs everywhere in the room. It didn’t look like it’s been clean because even on top of the TV had spiderwebs. My kid was scared of spiders so we were very unsettlement for them. The curtains in the room had dropped off so couldn’t really open it to get some air.

It wasn’t clean. Looks like they only hoovered and changed the bedding

Great location for what we needed to visit family. Generally clean including bedlinen and carpet.

The room was rather tired, especially the bathroom - it all looked as if it needed a bit of TLC.

Friendly greeting by all staff Any facility issues - rectified immediately Staff accommodated any requests best they could eg. swapping rooms due to stains on floor & unpleasant odour (shame as used to like that room close to reception). Fluctuating nightly prices - Doesn't't make sense. If kept low, would like to have stayed longer. Don't understand why nights during the weekday spike (up/down) - you would have more rooms occupied if nightly prices are kept at a reasonable price. No USB ports in rooms - could only find one USB on TV but had to keep TV running in order to maintain charging for phone. Suggestion: If unable to install, then can Reception provide adapters with USB A+C please No Walk-in shower option for those unable to climb into a bath (mobility issues). H&S: Emergency Red Cords Bathroom - one wrapped several times around a coat hanger Between Beds - another placed up the very top of the picture frame above bed heads. Should anyone falling ill/collapsed, they could not alert anyone!

1980s school vibe. Old and grotty. Hair blocking the bath plugs in two separate rooms.

The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. The receptionist was very friendly and approachable. Room very clean. Free parking.

Good valve for money

Just what we needed for a simpke overnight stopover. Convenient location, loads of 24 hr avaliable food options if one was looking for that. Excellent value for money.

The option fir a room on the quiet side of the hotel (away from the electiric car charging and access to the 24hr road stop wpuld have been appreciated.

It was very noisy - some sort of electrical humming noise all night. Booked as easy stop overnight before train crossing to Europe but not able to sleep at all. It was clean though, and Helpful staff at the reception.

The guy on reception was kind and friendly. Our room was clean and tidy, towels for everyone, plenty of tea/milk/biscuits and a decent sized mug for our cuppa.

At just £54/night as a stopover, absolutely no complaints

Convenient journey break close to the motorway at a reasonable price.

A bit noisy from the lorry access road at the rear of tge building and noise and dust from ongoing construction of a hgv parking area!

Couldn’t stay at the location due to them not having a cot while I left to get food for me and my children wasn’t told until nearly 4 hours after checking in wasn’t a cot myself and my children was left with no other choice but to leave and I had to drive thought the night

Pluming in bathroom needs looking at. Tap dripped all night , could not stop it. Nobody at reception to report it to. We left ahead 08.20x

As family they gave us Two rooms on different floors

Good location and price, the only issue was the very thin walls and being woken up at midnight by the very loud and drunk guy next door shouting at someone on the phone which resulted in me going out there to tell him to be quiet!! Wouldn't stay in a days inn again purely for this reason, you can even hear someone coughing next door and as a light sleeper this was a nightmare.

When i arrived the shutter for reception was down all the lights out but the hotel was fully open even down to security doors and hotel room no one was around to check me in I had to go looking for a cleaner and needed to check-in on time as I had to attend a wedding that I was late for

Really lovely staff. Room clean, beds not the most comfortable but within reason for the price. Stayed as had an early morning ferry crossing.

Sofa bed mattress was thin and the metal underneath pokes into your back when you try to sleep. The actual beds are comfy though. Rooms are a bit tired in places and general wear and tear shows but it's cheap and clean so the value for money is fair enough. Decent enough.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The room smelt of damp as did the duvet, the entire room needed a deep clean. No staff available to speak to the next morning to address my concerns.

It was really good! Yes, the lamps are ripped on some places, yes it could need a make over. But it was perfectly clean, the staff was so kind, location was great and wonderful value for money!

We needed the fan but we had to clean it first.

We had a wedding to go to at 12:30pm and wanted to check in even if we couldn't get to a room before 3pm, but there was no one on reception. I don't know if there was a place we could leave our bags even. We were going to get a taxi to the reception, but found we couldn't leave our car at the hotel because there was a 2 hour time limit unless we registered the car. As there was no one on reception, we couldn't even do that. It would help if you had a screen where we could enter car details, like othere hotel chains.

Perfectly situated for a festival near the leisure centre. Good facilities at the service station.

They didn't provide sufficient towels so we had to trail back to reception and wait around for more. Room was not serviced any of the days we were there. Dirty mugs, unmade bed, used towels in the bath...

The hotel was nice and clean. The facilities aren't very adequate for wheelchairs. The doors are really heavy. The key hole for the room door is very high up the door. No plug sockets near the bed to plug my wheelchair charger in. No phone sockets near the bed. No shelving in the bathroom. Either put items on the sink or on the toilet cystern. Again too high to reach and not hygienic. Only a bath with a shower over the bath. However the room was adequate. I cannot walk at all let alone stand in a bath to shower. The staff are lovely. Oh please put visitors with children on the ground floor. Children running up and down the corridors all night. I was in maidstone for a funeral. So not an enjoyable visit. However I would definitely stay here again. Food hall adjacent to Days inn, macdonalds, again the ordering tablets too high up from a wheelchair, costa, whsmith, a vegan bar, an Asian food bar although was never open. A lovely sitting area where we watched the eclipse. Very pleasant place to stay. Highly recommend

The corridors smelt bad. Heating was on in the rooms during the hot weather. Wallpaper peeling on walls. Door knows on the hotel rooms flimsy.

On arrival there was absolutely no coach parking available as lorries had parked where clearly it was marked for coaches only. When we spoke to reception they ask what we wanted them to do, well try enforcing the parking as clearly they didnt care that the lorries were parked where ever they felt like it. I use many services areas in my line of work and this one was clearly the worse at looking after the people staying within the hotel and seems that lorry drivers get priority over anyone else.

This was the dirtiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It was extremely noisy and had a terrible smell, possibly from pets, which seemed to be covered up with strong air fresheners. The smell triggered my allergies so badly that I spent several hours at a service station. We had booked two nights, but found another hotel and checked out after the first night.

The room wasn't cleaned properly and the sofa bed looked like it hadn't been changed from the last guests and wasn't ready for my son to sleep on.

Perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp. Direkt an der Autobahn, einfaches Hotel. Es war alles sauber.

El hotel dispone de aparcamiento gratuito para los huéspedes. Además, hay varios sitios donde puedes escoger dónde desayunar y, si te alojas en el hotel, tienes descuentos en algunos de ellos.

La habitación estaba bastante sucia, especialmente el baño, donde había pelos tanto en el lavabo como en la ducha. Además, la cama era bastante dura.

Staff were great and friendly. It wasnt too expensive compared to other options. It is on a services so easy to get to.

Amount of hair in the bath plughole. Window didnt seem to close tightly, and pidgeons sounded like they were nesting directly above the room. It was lucky I could get collected as it was a long way from everything else, and there were not really any public transport options - so my wine tasting would have been restricted.

The room was spacious, we have a family room with two single beds and one double, and the size of this was big compared to many other hotels we have been to. The shower was strong and good also.

The room did get stuffy, you couldn’t open the windows wide due to being in ground floor, so not much airflow.

Everything else. Hotel stank of cigarettes The hotel grounds were filthy and unkept, rubbish everywhere, and stank of weed. The worst bed I have ever slept in, the bed was just horrid. Walls paper thin, you can literally hear people on the toilet through the wall. Unsavoury types hanging around, late at night around reception. And finally the hotel is obviously used by ladies of the night, and they aren't quiet about it.

Het personeel bij de receptie was vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

De kamer was vreselijk warm er was geen airconditioning. Raam kon maar een klein stukje open dus de koele wind van buiten kon niet naar binnen. Er stond een Ventilator die niet naar behoren werkte. Deze maakte een tikkend geluid wanneer hij aanstond. De kamer lag vlak bij een parkeerplaats buiten van vrachtwagens die de hele nacht stationair liepen voor hun airco conditioning. Dus veel geluid. Alles in de kamer vonden wij vies. De ramen, gordijnen, overal lag stof en op het rode hoofdbord bij het bed zag je opgedroogde, druipende spetters. In het putje van het bad zaten veel haren. De toplaag van het bad was versleten en vies. De kraan die zorgt dat het water naar de douchekop gaat of naar de kraan werkte niet en trok je los als je hem gebruikte. Er lag een handoek klaar die duidelijk zichtbaar vies was. Alles is erg gedateerd. De stoel die er staat wilde ik opzij zetten en trok meteen een bovenste houten balkje los. De extra ventilator die mijn vrouw vroeg bij de receptie, omdat we de kamer niet koel kregen, zat vol met stof die door de kamer dwarrelde toen we hem aanzette. In het bed waren waarschijnlijk ook bedwantsen aanwezig. Er lagen eitjes die erg leken op die van wantsen. Helaas kwamen wij laat aan op de kamer en waren we niet meer in staat een ander hotel te boeken. Mijn vrouw gaf bij het halen van de ventilator bij de receptie aan dat de kamer vreselijk was. De vriendelijke dame gaf aan dat het haar spijt en er inderdaad gerenoveerd moest worden. Wij hebben te snel geboekt en geen recensies gelezen. Hopelijk doet u dat wel en mag deze recentie u ervan weerhouden hier een kamer te boeken. Het is echt vreselijk!

Perfect for a night before an early Eurotunnel trip and they allow dogs. Kids enjoyed the sweets at check in desk!
