Great position

My stay at Rob and Belinda's B&B was great. They are attentive hosts. My room was perfect and I had everything that I needed for a comfortable stay. Prior to coming, their online communication was reliable and consistent. They were easy to contact throughout - quick response and helpful with any questions. They took every step to make my stay a comfortable one. My friend and I were able to leave our luggage so that we could enjoy our final day without dragging it around, which we really appreciated. I also had a recommendation for The Boatshed, we had a lovely meal there on our last night. Carnson House is excellent value, perfect for any length of stay. Location is close to all amenities, the train station and main bus station. Very nice, scrambled eggs, thank you Rob!

Just a thought: It would be good to have at least one herbal tea option in the room, camomile or lemon&ginger, for those who don't drink English breakfast.

A perfect base for my short trip. I was met by Rob on arrival. Very welcoming. Room was compact but more than adequate for my stay, and was lovely and clean. The location right beside Penzance station was excellent, and not that far to walk to local shops and restaurants etc. In the morning I was welcomed by both Rob and Belinda and offered a varied choice of breakfasts. I chose the full Cornish breakfast, which was cooked fresh and was delicious. This small hotel is a credit to its owners.

Well apart from a sign in the bedroom asking me not to die my hair, there is nothing I could fault. Seriously, I had no desire to dye my hair but the sign suggests at least someone has, and no doubt ruined the nice white towels.

Location, cleanliness excellent hosts delivering great breakfasts and even a kipper option! The bedrooms are small but do have full en suite and there is even a laundromat two doors down and the room has an iron board and iron in the cupboard. Ideal if you’re staying a few days.

The staff, the breakfast the shower

The room was fine but the beds took up most of the floor space so I was not able to go through my morning exercise routine (first world problem).

Proximity to bus train and local amenities. Nice clean room and with comfortable bed and all the basics.

Upon arrival we were told that we had to pay £25 more for our son whereas when we booked the room, we clearly paid for a family room and mentioned 2 adult and a child already.

Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt im Carson Haus, es gibt nur insgesamt 7 Zimmer, aber das Ehepaar, das den Laden schmeißt ist super nett und wir konnten mit allen Fragen zu Ihnen kommen. Auch konnten wir unsere Rucksäcke den Tag über im Hotel lassen zur Aufbewahrung. Die Zimmer waren super, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einer kleinen Erhöhung, und zwei Betten. Es war durch eine kleine Treppe erreichbar. Super süß und die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Essen war auch super, alles bestens ;-)

Rob & Belinda are fantastic hosts. This B&B is their own family business and they live onsite. This makes staying at this accommodation special. They are very attentive to the needs of their guests. I requested GF toast and it was provided. Breakfast is personally delivered to your table by Rob. Belinda welcomes you on arrival. The rooms are small, including the bathroom, however they are nice and clean and comfortable for a night's rest. There is a pub next to the accommodation and I stayed on England World Cup night. No noise pollution whatsoever. There are great places to eat lots of nice pubs with good food and a Tesco Metro supermarket on the high street. This B&B is a great base to explore Penzance and the Lands End area. The front view of the property is the mainline Penzance station, but the bonus is that the accommodation is about 5 minutes from Penzance Station and trains to e.g. Bristol, Scotland, London.

The City of Penzance is itself underwhelming. It is definitely suffering from the lack of investment. No major high street shops. The sea front promenade is littered with discarded plastic, glass bottles and cans. People walk their dogs and do not clean up. Sad really as it would be a beautiful city with some TLC and love. However, on the bright side the location of Carnson House for exploring other parts of stunning beautiful Cornwall makes staying here a real treasure as a base. I would definitely book to stay here again.

Right on a main street and next to a bar. So windows open was noisy. Windows closed was stuffy.

Breakfast was excellent, and the location g for our requirements. Staff too were welcoming and helpful.

The location was perfect for me, very close to the harbour where I needed to catch the ferry to the Scilly island the next day. I had to leave before breakfast but the owners kindly served me a continental breakfast early in the morning which gave me an opportunity to sit in the cute breakfast room.

Please fix the fire alarm!

Convenient, clean and pretty

I really loved my stay in Carnson House. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the location is perfect, and Cornish traditional breakfast is delicious. You can get to such beautiful places as St Ives and Porthcurno easily - train and bus stations are nearby

Wir haben auf unserer Wanderung entlang des Coast Path zweimal im B&B übernachtet. Da wir jeweils mit der Bahn aus London bzw. St. Ives kamen und die Uhrzeit im Vorfeld kommuniziert hatten, konnten wir sogar schon frühzeitig einchecken und unser Zimmer beziehen. Während unserer Wanderung konnten wir darüber hinaus einen Teil unseres Gepäcks im B&B lassen. Am Abreisetag ging unser Zug etwas früher, ein früheres Frühstück (um 07:00 Uhr) wurde auch möglich gemacht. Die Lage ist perfekt zum Bahnhof, dort ist man in wenigen Minuten.

お部屋が広くて、センスもよく清潔だったこと。朝食が伝統的なコーンウォールのブレックファストなど選べ,とても充実してたこと、朝早く出発しなくてはいけないと話すと、朝食時間を特別に早めてくださったなど、です。それから駅から徒歩3分くらいの大通りに面し、本当に便利でした。

シャワーのお湯の温度が一定にならず、ちょっと苦労しました。お隣の部屋の音が結構響きました。

Love the design of the place. Looks like a cottage with the wooden tables and chairs. The room was very cosy with a comfy bed, and the owners were really nice and served a great breakfast. Love it.

Perfect location for trains and buses. Provided early breakfast if travelling on Isles of Scilly ferry. Very friendly staff.
