The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We only had one night stay but had a great night in the bar as they had an open mic night and the locals were very friendly and welcoming. We will definately be visiting again

Location perfect Car parking available Excellent customer service went above and beyond Spotlessly clean ,warm and cosy Excellent food
Everything 100%
Excellent location with Great facilities. Super friendly staff.
Nothing.
My room was facing the old abbey and I could see Tor in distance from my windows. The bed was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the vegetarian English breakfast.
We asked for two single beds in the second room we booked but the staff in charge apparently hadn't been informed of this. Luckily they were very accommodating and changed things around to suit our request.
ideal location, nice friendly staff, very welcoming
Muy cómodas las camas. Noche silenciosa
Solo me quedé una tranquila noche.
Good location, staff are very pleasant. Nice for the one night stay as a base.
The rooms are basic and could do with a refresh especially the bathroom and carpets etc as does feel a bit grimy. It was a good price and staff were friendly.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely clean room and delicious breakfast. Close to local attractions for a short stay.
Fantastic place the view was extraordinary fantastic overlooking Glastonbury Abbey done
The downside to being out the front was that we heard boy racers seem to be revving their engines outside your pub
My room was cosy, super clean and the best view in the village overlooking both the Abbey accross the road and the Tor up on the hill in the distance. Chris the manager was very attentive and made me and my dog feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Assistant manager Rob was also an excellent host, as well as the rest of the team. Very comfortable bed, good shower. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner with vegan options available. The room service breakfast delivered to my door on Christmas Day was a lovely touch! Perfect location, just a stroll from the shops and even a lovely park for my dog just 10 mins walk away. We will be back!
A little noise can be heard at times during sports matches from the pub below, but no later than 11pm.
Great location, great staff, great breakfast
Good location to be close to the town. Reasonably priced. Bed comfortable.
Cleanliness was an issue - the room smelled unpleasant when I arrived and I think the staff knew this is as the windows were left open despite the cold. The bathroom smelled like old urine and this had transferred into the room as the door was left open. The bathroom really needs a very deep clean - it looked ok at a quick glance but a look at the walls, skirting boards etc around the toilet showed it was quite dirty and this was probably where the smell was coming from. Some maintenance issues too, the window blind didn’t work and again this was known by the staff as it was tucked up above the window. I only found it didn’t work when I tried to lower it at night. The loo roll holder was in a daft place so you constantly knock the loo roll off. The fact that the holder has been badly plastered back on shows this! The bathroom is really small, ok for me but for a larger or taller person it would have been really tight. It was pretty noisy too, I expected this being above a pub but the walls between rooms are really thin and someone in a neighbouring room had their tv on full blast until late. The street outside starts to wake up early so a lie in isn’t really an option either.
Perfect location, great breakfast, friendly staff and good value….
The location was just fantastic for everything, our room was clean, well stocked & spacious.
Nothing to fault!
Perfectly positioned in the town and our room had the view of the Abbey and the Tor
Nothing
Central to town. Free private parking (round back of property). Welcoming staff and locals. Nice pub.
Food average
Central to the town, with very friendly staff
Floor is very creaky.
Perfect location, clean and tidy. Friendly staff members, very welcoming.
Lovely staff, great location, quirky room
Parking (although we did know this before we booked)
Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff
Nothing
Great location, clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cracking breakfast.
Bathroom was a bit small (everything fine inside though).
Staff and location
Only one thing which I knew prior to booking is the noise from the bar in the rooms, can literally hear conversations, but won’t stop me returning
Good location in the heart of the village.

This was my second visit here and was once again very happy with my stay. The location, the view and the staff are top notch.
Great value for money Staff really friendly
Staff were really friendly, room was a good size.
Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. My room was perfect and the bed! THE most comfortable ever. I will return. Thank you.
Wifi is not good. Sorry, but that's the truth of my experience.
Location, breakfast was good, staff were friendly and helpful.
Room allocated was top of stairs by door and heard everyone that went through it as it banged shut and the bar was directly underneath both very noisy. On arrival the room had no water, this was known before we went up to the room, so we should have been pre warned . I had to go back down to the bar and ask for some water! Staff were helpful and apologetic and it did eventually come back on. I found the bed too hard, but that's just preference it might have been ok for someone else. Quality of toilet pause was awful, my advice take your own!
Good food and great service.
Excellent location. Right in the centre. Directly opposite the abbey Easy access to pubs, restaurants etc , nice view of the tor
Front rooms a little noisy with traffic. I'm a light sleeper but it didn't bother my husband. We have stayed here before and the back rooms are quieter

Very clean and perfectly situated

Fabulous. Location. Good breakfast.
Front rooms a little noisy with road traffic
Zentrale Lage, freundliches Personal
Verschimmelte Dusche, nicht schön!
Location and staff hospitality
Food wasn't hot
spacious room, friendly staff, private car park, coffee tray, clean. excellent breakfast and in a central location
little noise from road - but we knew that as you can see from the location
Great Location!
Breakfast/General food wasn't great.. Breakfast continental selection was poor & cooked breakfast options were oily/bland.
The Market House is perfectly located right next to the bus stops opposite the Abbey. The room was clean and comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits waiting. It was quiet and I couldn't hear any noise from the pub below (although this may be different at the weekends). The food served in the pub was nice. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and also responded quickly to a question I emailed them before my stay. Just be aware that the private bathroom is not ensuite but about 5 steps away from the bedroom door. Which wasn't a problem for me.
Nothing. I had a lovely stay.
Breakfast was very good, service was great
nothing at all
Absolutely brilliant location in the heart of Glastonbury town. Breakfast options were great value for money. Friendly helpful staff .
Clean and tidy room with acceptable facilities.
Food wasn't great, for me ir wasn't even on a par with decent pub grub. And the bloidy fire alarm went off just after we got to sleep at 11. Even though there was no live music or karaoke it was excessively loud, yes I know it's a pub but still, way too loud for us.
Fantastic stay! Perfect location in the heart of town with amazing views of Glastonbury Abbey and the Tor. The room was spacious and the bed super comfy. The bathroom’s a little dated, but everything was clean and comfortable. It’s a pub, so it can be lively in the evenings, but that’s part of the charm. Lovely staff – I’d happily stay again!
central to the town, parking and good size room, all facilities you would expect.
Great view of the Tor from bed.
I arrived on a Thursday when they had Open Mic night. It was incredibly noisy, my room was just above it, the bass was just reverberating in the floor and the whole room (not at all nice for my migraine). Difficult to understand why they rent out rooms at all (or why they have live music. They certainly don't go together). I'm just eternally grateful that I wasn't there on Friday night when they have Karaoke, or the weekend when it lasts even longer!
Perfect location in the centre of town, parking out the back of the pub or if thats full there's a council carpark across the road. Easy walk to Glastonbury tor path, bit harder walk up the tor ! Really friendly staff. They do tell you on booking about the weekend live music. We were there on a Friday, which was karaoke night! Very loud till about 11 pm. Breakfast was good.
Nothing
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated us by making take away breakfast boxes because we had to leave early. Typical pub/inn with typical pub food. Under new management, so they were adjusting. The location was perfect, right in town and we got there early enough to get parking on site.
Lovely big room with a view of the Abbey, very friendly staff, free parking, in a great location
Perfect location as we were attending an event at the Abbey which was across the road and also checking out the varied shops on the high street. We got to check in early as our room was ready. Very comfortable beds including the sofa bed which was made up for us. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the pub grub was very good.
Nothing.
Breakfast was fantastic, room small but adequate for an overnight stay, staff very friendly and helpful, perfect location and free parking
Nothing
We really like the fact that the market house is situated right opposite the Abbey. Everything is accessible. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Staff was wonderful! Rooms above the bar were noisy and hard to get to sleep
The location is amazing, close to everything. The staff are incredible, so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble
Great location for our visit, comfy well equipped room with a great view of the Tor.
The shower cubical is a little tired but we mentioned this to the staff and they said the property was under new management and they would look into it.
Stayed there before too as it’s a fantastic location for everything. The staff are really helpful and friendly too. Love it and will stay again without a doubt.
We can honestly say the only thing that was a slight problem was getting blocked in the carpark at the back, but we told staff and they were able to sort that straight away.
Location
Loud music till Late Banging doors all night No toilet roll in room and no staff on site to ask Dinner orders closed earlier than we were told leaving us with nothing to eat. Walls so thin that thought people on landing were in room Tv didnt work Paid £30 for breakfast but never seen such a limited continental before. Would never have paid for that if had realised what was going to be offered.
The manager and staff were very helpful and accommodating with our requests e.g. for fresh milk and cold storage and we liked the overall relaxed atmosphere. The room had a view of the Tor and a little of the Abbey and had a place to write.
We struggle in most hotels and inns with the weight of bed coverings. The fan in the bathroom did not seem to be working. Our visit was ill-timed to coincide with a karaoke night, which went on a little later than scheduled.
Brilliant location. Friendly staff. Car park
All fine
Great location and comfortable bed
Shower room small as difficult to open door when trying to exit
Location was great, central to everything we wanted to do Room was clean and tidy Staff were friendly and helpful
Would have been nice to see some local real ales in the bar A hanging notice for the door to let staff know refreshments and towels needed topping up
A great location, opposite the Abbey ruins I enjoyed the music in the bar on the Thursday evening very much
