Such a beautiful well run pub and accomodation. Spotlessly clean room, towels and bedding , comfortable beds, would definately stop again. Highly recommend The Plough Eaton. Breakfast was plentiful, and many choices. Lovely venue for any event, weddings ect.

It is a wedding venue. People outside late at night being very loud. Entrance to pub was covered in vomit in the morning which was definitely not nice. Would not stay again

The room lighting was poor with no plug points unless you moved the beds which had dust on skirting’s. The room was dull but beds were clean. The overflow in the bathroom sink was very grubby.

The food is fantastic - I would highly recommend eating at the Plough Inn.

There was a wedding on until midnight - which was fine. The bit that was not that the soundproofing is poor and a couple on the floor above me did not stop discussion stuff until 4am! If booking it may be wise to check if there is a wedding on.

Noisy at breakfast with loud conversations across one table to another, between wedding guests from the previous night, though obviously not the hotel’s fault.

beds (or at least our bed) was not secured to the wall or have any form of breaks on it so it kept sliding away from the wall, and also members of our wedding groups baths weren’t working properly either

The restaurant was good and the staff was friendly.

There was a lot of noise from the room above. And on top there was a lot of noise from the staff at 7am. The bathtub was dirty and there waa mold.

Good location, great to explore Peak District. Room was spacious, good bed, shower ok over bath, but could have done with more pressure. Was very hot, due to heatwave. Fan provided did ok, but room still very hot! Restaurant itself and staff were great. Air con in restaurant was superb, kept us cool, looking Iver garden. Food both at breakfast and dinner was lovely, good choices and catered for gluten free too. Lovely 2 night break!

Beautiful, immaculately presented pub in a lovely area. Accommodation was great and had everything we needed for our one night stay. We didn't book breakfast due to doing Congleton parkrun the following morning but would love to try next time. It really stood out how friendly and polite staff were throughout our stay. We booked a table for an evening meal, the food was excellent and enjoyed a drink afterwards in the beer garden. There was a wedding taking place, which didn't impact our stay at all and we liked how the rooms were in a separate building slightly away from the pub. Plenty of parking spaces and we were happy we could park directly outside our room. We look forward to staying here again.

I can't find fault with anything. Everything was perfect for our short stay.

Beautiful country hotel in a peacefull location. Room was large ,comfortable and ours ,room 2 was lovely and cool, very welcome on a hot evening . We had a lovely evening meal where the staff were very attentive.

The location was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff was so friendly with excellent customer service. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it too.

I think the bed was a little uncomfortable but didn't really disturb my sleep.

Great setup with rooms facing main pub and plenty of free parking. Staff were very welcoming and the food was of a high quality. Rooms were clean and nice additional features like biscuits.

Bed mattress was shot, like sleeping on floor and the shower was in a high bath with sensitive controls. Main issue was the number of flies in the public bar and restaurant (evenings and during breakfast). Flies bussing everywhere is a real put off.

The property was stunning and the room was really spacious. The staff were amazing friendly and helpful. Food at breakfast was great. Only thing the room was clean on the surface but under the beds was very very dusty could do with a vacuum underneath. However would happily stay again and would recommend to others.

The bad thing was that the shower simply didn't work. The first time in over twenty years that I had to face the day without a shower. I was outraged after everything else had been so pleasant. I told the woman at check out but there's no point in ruining her day by getting nasty. I told her about it and no doubt she'll pass that on.

Very convenient when visiting friends. Great food! Best Full English Breakfast that I have ever had! Bar was really quaint and all staff super helpful.

Room charge could have been a bit cheaper. We stayed in ground floor and rooms above had really squeaky/noisy flooring. Not good when you’re woken at 2am!

Breakfast- good choice and tasty, evening meals were of good quality, bed was comfy room had suitable space, supplied cooling fan as extra request, all good.

Tea facilities in the room, better and bigger selection of tea, i.e fruit teas and green teas. fridge availability for keeping drinks cold or keeping cold packs, would have been nice. Chair in room would be good.

Stayed just for a night but was great, staff were lovely and polite, room was comfy and the whole setting including the beer garden and restaurant was lovely. Ate in the restaurant, I had beef shin and partner burger and cannot fault the food at all.

Food in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast delish. The room was lovely and big, we stayed in room 1.

unfortunately the mattress was quite uncomfortable. Would be great if this was upgraded.

Host was very accommodating right from the get go and the rest of the staff were similarly so. Room was comfortable and clean and food was good with timely service.

I seem to remember the breakfast wasn't as accommodating for my 3 food intolerances as they had promised. The security of the bedroom window that I wanted to have left ajar for ventilation wasn't comforting and there was something else that I can't recall that stuck out.

Breakfast was good enough for the start of the day maybe end service at 10am the hotel was in a great position for our needs 😀

A great, quiet place to stay, in motel style rooms. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent. The staff were very good.

It was quiet and all staff were friendly and efficient. The food was lovely.

The room was very dark and needed the lights on at all times. There were no easily accessible plug sockets. A cupboard had to be moved to access a socket to plug the hairdryer in.

Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent as well with some interesting choices. All at a very good price - we were very happy.

Starter was ok but the main and the dessert were awful, last orders at the bar was 10pm.

Staff were all lovely. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking available - we were lucky and had a space directly outside of the bedroom door. Restaurant catered for the whole family (not staying at the venue) with plenty for the children to choose from on the menu as well as proper pub/ restaurant food for the adults. I have stayed here a few times before as it is convenient for visiting family locally.

The booking system messed up my restaurant confirmed time, necessitating me to contact the venue to get it changed back to my original booked time (from online system). No apologies, but did change it for me. I had young children joining us for evening meal. Noisy room till around midnight. There was a wedding party at the venue.

I like the format of the Historic pub with the modern accommodation annex in the courtyard. I have saved in a number of these in recent years.

Nothing much, but I would have a appreciated a grip rail in the bath which had a concave base and made it rather slippery also and non slip bath Matt would’ve been useful too but I bring my own because they are often not provided the noisy wedding party in the pub itself was in audible and not a problem. The room was very hot on my arrival as was the day being in the hottest day of the year it is a pity that there is no mechanism to ventilate the room properly from the rear and there is no opportunity for airflow in the room on a hot day and opening the front Window does not do the trick. I have the door open for half an hour in the evening to try and cool the room down, which was 26° on my arrival on my portable thermometer.

We where attending a wedding evening at Heaton House farm, 7 Miles away from the Plough, Uber to the venue Was only £11, On Arrival at the Plough the Building is a charming and rustic building, The staff very friendly and polite, We stayed in room 5 , with a Queen size bed, Very charming decor with a French style to it. If you are venturing out for a late return , make sure to fire up the radiator, as it was a little chilly when we came back, but the Radiators soon warmed up the room, Showers where nice and hot and power full. We had a couple of drinks and a bowl of skin on chunky chips which were cooked to perfection Nice and crispy. Great Amenities and a Great Full English breakfast, With Cereal, Fresh Juice, Yoghurt, Fruit, Tea, Coffee.

Not really the Ploughs fault, but the people in the room above were like a heard of elephants.
