Parking a bit tight , and we only have a midsize car. Basic filter coffee only at breakfast, no cappuccino or latte machine common these days.

The friendliness of the staff when travelling alone is hugely important. The staff could not do enough!

The fact that someone felt turning music on load at 6am was great! Even more annoying was the music was repetitive!

A problem with the hit water meant that sink tap in bathroom produced boiling hot water straight away. When attempting to turn on shower I turned both controls only to have boiling hot water come out if the shower door when opned. I told management when going to breakfast and they sorted it out straight away. However if a child had turned tap on they might have been burnt. Very happy with their service and breakfast. Perhaps a warning note over sink would warn about very hot water. Winter weight duvet made it a little too warm to sleep.

We stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding & was very impressed with this hotel. It’s beautiful inside & the bedrooms were all lovely & everything was immaculately clean & comfy. Housekeeping came the second day as well which we weren’t expecting so a lovely surprise when we got back late. Couldn’t fault breakfast either it was one of the best we’ve had in a hotel & we’ve stayed in plenty. Plenty of parking they had an overflow bit at the back & it’s only a few minutes in the car to the centre. We used taxis on the day of the wedding & had no issues getting one. Would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a hotel for this area :)

Was perfect for what we needed which was a venue close to a wedding we were attending.

Unfortunately our shower was a bit poor, low water pressure and fluctuated between temperatures. So we did have shorter shower than usual. The bed was also a little smaller than expected

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Was able to check in early.

No food in the evening. No sign of the bar. Room was close to a main road and there was traffic noise.

Excellent hosts, great local knowledge, friendly staff, excellent room - we stayed in the bridal suite and didn’t want to leave. Such care and attention has been taken to consider a full experience of a home from home! We came home and bought the duvet and fan!

Would of been nice to have bottled water in the room for overnight. Traffic noise due to location on a roundabout (can't be helped) Air Con would be the icing on the cake to this lovely hotel especially as we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year.

Breakfast was tasty though options for those not having full cooked breakfast could have been better…….(fruit, croissant , Greek yoghurt). Good location though rooms were very noisy on the busy main road.

Bed could have been more comfortable. Breakfast room was crowded and dark. Window table was nice but very noisy next to the kitchen door.

Pleasant, pretty exterior to the front with a nice garden available to use at the rear. No problem parking, at least for us. Nice restaurants within walking distance.

Great location in Congleton with instant access to the major 'A' roads in & out of the town. Hotel is a lovely building in a great setting. My bedroom was at the rear of the property overlooking the well-kept garden, The bedroom was clean and very comfortable, and it had a high ceiling which was benefitial in this period of hight temperatures.

Due to the high tempertures this country has been experiencing it was a bit hard to sleep, and this wasn't aided by the thick duvet on the bed. I probably should have asked for a single cotton sheet, but I didn't at the time, so that's down to me. I don't know if this might have been available. I haven't scored the hotel down for this, and I would certainly stay there again.

Location was fine although I missed the entrance on the first pass. Staff excellent and very helpful, room and facilities clean and well prepared.

Hot temperatures require low tog duvets, and more pillows please, particularly medium (less deep) and slightly softer.

Entire property was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Service was excellent - all staff very accommodating.

First impressions on arrival are how well kept everything is. The common gardens areas are well looked after. Our room was extremely comfortable - very clean with all the amenities you'd expect. There's no on site restaurant but our host recommended a couple of options. The one we tried was a short walk and very good. Breakfast was excellent and generous. Freshly prepared using good quality ingredients. For us the perfect place to stay for the weeding we attended. Would definitely choose again.

The fact that you don’t get a hot water tap in your bathroom. It is set to not be useable. The shower didn’t get warm, despite the relevant adjustments.

Er was speciaal voor ons een parkeerplaats vrijgehouden voor het hotel. En we verbleven in de bruidsuite. Prachtige schone kamers met lekkere douche. In de ochtend werd er een ontbijt op maat geserveerd in een schattig ingerichte ontbijtruimte. Heerlijk!

The pictures on the website and details of a delux room show have the impression of a large room sofa etc. Room 6 where we stayed was small , limited draw space and the bathroom especially the shower was very small and narrow. I am average height and build and just managed. The road is quite busy throughout the day and night so suggest asking for a room at the back of the hotel.

A lovely one night stay. The staff were very welcoming, garden was pretty and the room was ideal for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was clean, comfortable, well presented, and contained everything we needed. Breakfast options were plentiful, served with a smile, and tasted delicious. The hotel itself, and the grounds are lovely, with ample parking, and just off the main road.

The Alexandra Court Hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was delightful and extremely clean [as was the whole property]. The bathroom was well equipped and spacious. The decor though out is tasteful in very subtle hues of grey and beige and the garden delightful. There is ample parking round the rear of the property. Staff was welcoming and very pleasant. We couldn't have asked for more, a winner for sure.

The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room were spacious and the bed was very comfy. Was made to feel very welcome upon arrival. The garden outside was beautifully done and if the weather was nice would be a perfect place to sit out and enjoy. The features of the hotel is what was the most enjoyable, each room had detail and was decorated to a high standard.

The only thing was the shower in my room wasn't very strong but think it was the shower head but it wasn't a massive problem and not a big deal as was still usable.

Spacious free car parking. Lovely welcome. Shown to room and help given with luggage for our two night stay. Spacious very clean room. Fresh bed linen / towels. Everywhere freshly decorated including front living room. Breakfast, for the six of us, was at a table overlooking a spectacular garden adorned with statues and flowers. All of us had fruit juice, cereal and a full English breakfast. A request for one of the latter be gluten free was no trouble. The cooked breakfasts, each bespoke to our different requests, were all served together and freshly cooked. The sausages and bacon were locally sourced and this was reflected in their quality. All members of staff, without exception, were at all times very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. German draught beer on tap in the bar: Dortmunder Union Vier, Well kept at perfect temperature. Really appreciated and enjoyed on the terrace in their garden.

Objective criticism is always of value but I am unable to provide any for the reasons detailed above.
