It was clean
The water in our room was cold. We had to take a shower in different room on the first night. The second night, the water was still cold and we had to shower in the swimming pool shower. This was dirty and it was very uncomfortable walking through a packed reception area afterwards. We were trying to shower around 10pm on both nights, so not late.! Would not recommend, very dissatisfied with this hotel.
Good breakfast and great location, really friendly staff
Nothing at all.
Easy to find and plenty of parking space. Out of town,so a quiet location
Nothing
Great breakfasts & nice location, easy to walk to town and beaches. Very warm swimming pool.
Decor was a little tired in the communal areas.
Being on the sea front, near town, pool was nice in hotel
Breakfast was very poor rooms was not clean dirty bedding bathroom was abit gruby room felt very old fashioned and I paid £510 for 3 nights for 2 adults and child was not worth it
Nice location, staff were friendly.
Needs some TLC. Bathroom had some mould above the shower. Tv fell off the wall and broke whilst we were watching (staff were very accommodating and offered to move room, we declined as only their for 1 night). Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest.
Reception area was good
The hotel is need off a full refurbishment .
The location was pretty good as it’s just outside of the busy highstreet, and they offered good taxi services which was helpful during board masters and the pool also looked lovely, however it was closed due to boardies
Uhm where do I start first when you come in your greeted by lovely welcoming RECEPTION staff but the minute you step into your room, a hole another story. Leaky showers, Invasive MATIENCE staff, many fire hazards, “dogey” (quoted by who I believe to be the owner) light switches. There is NO WIFI IN ROOMS, and in our room we had NO ELECTRICITY which when we when to the reception for help (and they were very helpful) we were redirected to there maintenance guy who had no clue what he was doing, STUNK OF ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES.. we were told they couldn’t do anything about until the morning and were given a powerbank on 50% to “make do”. In the morning the same guy came back just as we were waking up LUCKILY WE WERE as he then proceeded to unlock the door and try to let himself in. Me and my boyfriend are 18 and were away for the first time together this was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING!!! Thank fuck we had put a chair against the door the night before other wise he would have actually entered the room. Utilities were disgusting!! Floor falling apart where open holes were made to make room for plumbing… the list goes on.
Hotel was nice and clean and in a good location.
Room wasn’t cleaned for our entire stay, booking issues with booking.com and hotel regarding breakfast inclusion. Hotel also tried to add an extra charge which had to be disputed. Car parking is limited. Walls are paper thin and woken up to the sound of drilling in the am.
The location
The staff weren't very welcoming, which was quite shocking to me, as someone from the hospitality industry it felt as if they were annoyed when you go to the desk to ask questions. The room quality was poor for the price, they didn't make the bed up on the second day, the duvet was just thrown over. Breakfast was extremely basic and limited. Not enough waiting staff available for a fully booked breakfast room. Overall a disappointing stay for my first visit to Cornwall. Newquay Cornwall itself was lovely, I will definitely go back but will certainly not stay or recommend Barrowfield based on my experience.
It’s a great and delicious service we are very happy 😃 excellent 👍
It’s a great journey for the hotel 🏨 excellent service staff 👍🙏🏻✨
The pool
The room is very dirty and the lights doesn’t work properly, the TV is not working,no air conditioning, stains all over the bedding’s and rugs, only one power point, not really worth what we paid for.
Staf it’s not good and room it’s not good to much daty
Never
It was close to town
Rooms are very outdated, very hot.. Balcony view wasn’t at all a view, could see in all the other rooms (wood was actually holding windows open on top floor). Poryer doesn’t let you in after 12,luckily I was there else my husband would not of got in.
Nothing
Everything, breakfast was cold every morning and tiny portions. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the room was far too hot as the windows didn't stay open and the only air flow was from a half broken fan covered in dust. For £1000 this was an awful experience. Many unpleasant guests, including one man walking around in his boxers being loud at 2am and staff really didn't seem that bothered.
Nothing
Quality of the breakfast poor.
Freind staff and happy to help
Had to pay for parking overnight
Easy walking distance to town & beaches .
Very run down & dirty .bedrooms need updating . The bathroom window didn’t open & the shower was mouldy with hair blocking the drainage . Hair on the pillow.
it was a good position
a lot of money for what it was .. very hot in the rooms no air con needs a lot of updating things broke .. smelt of cigarettes very old fashioned .. cost me a lot of money was disappointing
Good location
I chose this hotel because it had on site parking. But there is only a handful of spaces and the parking is an absolute nightmare! If you come in the car then don’t bother!
The location
The bed was tiny for a double, not fit for 1 average size people. Parking was expensive and carpark next door was £1.60 an hour where you charge £5 an hour, I asked staff at reception if parking was expensive and she said no. Facilities were dated. Long wait to be seated for breakfast and long queue for coffee.
The building was a little old but clean and tidy don’t was fine.
All was good thanks
Nothing!
Hotel was dirty. Beds had evidence of bed bugs, informed manager. Refused to stay and left hotel . Had to find alternative accommodation late at night. Please see email with complaint!
Near to beach Big rooms Excellent staff both reception and dinning room ones Many fun facilities including heated swimming pool Easy free parking
Mainly coaches hotel as mentioned by receptionist and seen Small window period for breakfast Earlier checkout Hot room especially in summer night/ difficult to sleep Need to install air conditioning
Lovely hotel especially good for older guests who like entertainment and bingo Location ok for us...a little outside Newquay town if you were planning on exploring and had walking issues. We liked the position as we are good walkers and could explore both sides of the hotel. Food tailored to again older tastes, service was ok for us, some were complaining of waiting an hour for breakfast but TBF breakfast was from 8:15...but majority were queuing before that instead of staggering their times.
I travel with a coach of friends each summer to a Daish hotel. Unfortunately for us we were there July 10th to 14th when there was heatwave across Britain. However this did not deter the staff. I heard some people complaining to reception about the heat in their room, and the staff took it all, as if they could change it!! They would have heat in their own home. The staff made this hotel when it was needed in extreme conditions. A big well done to them. Waiting and chamber staff rushing about in ridiculously hot weather still smiling. I think for what you pay and and for what you get it equals out. Plus there is a pool. Not many have that. Over the road to a beach and beautiful sunset. We can all pick faults in a hotel, but then go home and pick faults in your own place.
Had a great time very clean hotel manager Paul very friendly and helpfull all staff great made our stay good would definitely go back and highly recommended this hotel
Near the town and beaches
No air conditioning Old rooms and furniture that was dirty Chaotic front of desk staff and manager
I went to this hotel with Glenton on a 9 day holiday with my sister. On arrival we were allocated our room which had 3 single beds in it and when we went into the room we noticed that there were dark marks on the carpet, some of them were sticky (see photo). There was a balcony but we were not allowed to use it as birds could be nesting! (We could not see any nests anywhere.) But it did have large cracks on the bottom of it. We had a shower ensuite but when we used the shower the water didn't go away for a while and during the holiday we put up with this until there was scum coming up through the drain. I complained about this and it was fixed that day. We asked for an extra toilet roll and was given this but it was never put in the dispenser (you need a key to put the toilet roll into the dispenser) and it sat on top of the cistern for the whole holiday (see photo). We also had to ask for more hand soap for the dispenser as this had run out too! We had a large fan in the room which was on for most of the holiday as we were there in the June heatwave. There was the customary kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and milk on a tray. Also a small hairdryer if you needed it. There didn't seem to be a hoover used as when walking along the halls and up the stairs there was dirt that didn't disappear for the whole duration of our holiday. In the dining room you get a sheet with the menu for the following meal on your table which you need to fill in along with your table number and the menus for dinner are on a four day rotation which are on the wall as you go into the dining room. On the Sunday morning after arriving we were asked what we wanted to eat/drink which was apple or orange juice or a cereal? You have one only, you can't have juice and cereal (although some people did have juice and cereal) then we were asked what we wanted for a cooked breakfast. After giving the waitress our orders we waited 55 minutes for the cooked food to arrive! My sister had to ask for extra sugar at EVERY meal as they didn't replenish the sugar or salt at the tables between meals. Some of the meals were not nice and on leaving the dining room a number of times I saw plates of food that was hardly touched. The fish and chips with mushy peas was tasteless and seemed to be the cheapest frozen fish and chips that you can buy. The only meal that I enjoyed was the lasagna with salad. The entertainment at night was good as you get a quiz to do (if you want to) and two games of bingo at different times and then singers. A pint of draught Pepsi Max was £3.80 which I thought was a little steep. There were air conditioning units in the dining room and where the entertainment was but they either didn't work or were never switched on as we were there in the June heatwave and it was very warm. There were large cracks on the outside walls and some balconies did look very dangerous to stand on as the rails were coming away from the bottom of the balconies. This hotel needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it back to what it would have looked like when built.
Please don't book this hotel it's a shambles.the only good thing was the bar and dining room staff very pleasant. Unfortunately after a 12 hour journey no dinner was served to us.got to our room poky and none inspiring. Bathroom with wholly bath mat was replaced.food was dreadful but was told they get £5 a day to feed us. So obviously food is a after thought. Duty manager not dressed professionally went about with a football strip on, and looked as if he cdnt be bothered . I sat on a small tartan suite I started to scratch I checked it out filthy.i went to reception and spoke to duty manager he asked me to show him so i did. He said he wd have the cleaner look at it in the morning. It was fit for the skip.i cdnt understand as he had walked by it all the time he had worked there. We had to keep asking for towels as they weren't being replaced so no chance of this couch being cleaned. The dining room had around 150 people waiting for dinner little staff had turned up so the duty manager had to fill in.he left his position to do the dining room and no one was securing the front desk anyone cd come.in and get into reception. I cd go on but be aware before booking
The swimming pool
The heat in the rooms was way too warm the fan they had in our room basically blew hot air around
The Temperature of the room , it was boiling with no air flow
Stayed at Barrowfield hotel June 12th to 16th june traveled part of coach party, second visit in 3 years both my partner + myself had a fantastic time there both coach drivers to and from very helpfull and polite,i would like to say a very big thank you to Julie (bar manager) who kindly helped us out with a table in the bar area as my partner has to walk with a walking stick (thanks again Julie) room on first floor clean and tidy, all dining room staff plesent as was food (no complaints) we did not use swimming pool so can not coment on that side of things, but overal a good stay and will stay again at the Barrowfield hotel again sometime. This was our 14th holiday with Daish holidays in the past 4 years ( well done Daish holidays) have just booked our 15th
Throughly enjoyed my stay here cannot fault a thing the room, staff and food was excellent
Great location, lovely hotel staff polite and friendly and helpful, our room was lovely. Great value for money would come again
We did self drive to this hotel.the staff was so helpful. rooms and food was very good. We had a problem with our sports car the day before we came home we couldn’t open our boot so we had a problem how to get our luggage home. I spoke to one of the coach drivers about leaving our luggage as a coach was arriving there on the Thursday and leaving on Monday. He rang someone and they said a coach driver named mick was going our way on the way to Llandudno. He was having his breakfast and we went and asked him without any hesitation he said if we gave him our address he would take them home for us. I can’t believe how helpful they both were a solution to our problem. I can’t thank them both enough what an excellent service they gave us. Thank you again for all the staff at the Barrowfield Hotel we will definitely recommend Dashi Holliday to our friends and travel again with them
Just back from a 4 night break and I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. I’ll give my review in chronological order, as things happened, and my review is based mainly on facts - not opinion! I feel that by doing this, it gives a fair, but comprehensive review. When we pulled up outside the hotel after a long 12 hour coach ride from Glasgow, the first impressions are not good - the hotel is not attractive from the outside, it needs some TLC and the first thing you notice is the masses of wheelie bins on show. All that’s needed is a lick of paint and perhaps some nice flower pots and hanging baskets dotted around! On entering the hotel - what a difference! A lovely, bright, airy and welcoming reception area : clean and tidy with efficient and welcoming reception staff handing out the room keys. We headed straight to our room : a twin on the 3rd floor. Bright and spacious with 2 single beds - no headboards though so not easy, or comfortable, to sit up on bed to read or watch tv. The duvets are the smallest single duvets I’ve ever seen : far too small to cover an adult adequately and warmly. We immediately checked the shower (as I always do when I check in to a hotel) and it was simply not fit for purpose - a trickle at best and had it been a woman with long hair it would have been impossible to wash her hair! I struggled and I have a number 2 all over!!! I went straight to reception to report the shower issue to the duty manger - luckily the maintenance guys were there at the time and went straight up to the room to rectify it - I’m now home after my holiday and still awaiting a response! Not great customer service. We had actually to go to the swimming pool in order to have a decent shower : just not good enough : one expects to be able to have at least enough pressure in the shower to have a good wash in the privacy of your own bedroom! (More on the pool later!!) The lack of attention to detail in the bedroom was not good - no sockets on the wall where the beds were, a tiny tv that was far too small for the room and curtains hanging vertically from the top of a sloping roof/window - why, oh why, there’s not a velux blind on a sloping window is just crazy - the light poured in from very early in the morning and made for such poor sleep. Housekeeping in the room was shocking, to be blunt!. The carpet was not vacuumed once during our stay, we had to ask each day for extra coffee and milks and the toilet and shower were DISGRACEFUL. The rim of the toilet was black and the shower tray wasn’t much better. To put it simply, it would take hours to deep clean the bathroom in our bedroom - if the cleaning was kept on top of daily, it would (nor should) never get into this mess. There’s simply no excuse here. Main stair case wasn’t vacuumed for the entirety of our stay either - and due to only having 1 small lift, the stairs are very well used. Again, what’s the excuse? Food was tasty and piping hot - albeit served rather quickly : not a relaxing dining experience. It’s pretty much in, sit down, starter placed down, as soon as you’re finished your main is served, then the same for dessert - 30/40 minutes and you’re done! Hot breakfast was good too, but I wasn’t keen on the milk, juices, cereals and fruits waiting for you, uncovered, at your table each morning. Not sure how long they had been there and always worries me when things aren’t kept at correct temperature.(all meals are pre-ordered, so they know exactly what to put on each table!) Swimming pool was very nice - so warm and inviting. The changing room and shower area were disgraceful though - I’ve never seen filth like it! Again, absolutely no attention to detail but I’d say verging on hazardous - it was disgusting. Huge shout out to all the staff, except the blond haired female duty manager who was on the late shift on Sunday 7th : she was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude and really stood out from the rest. Unlike the rest of the staff, she seemed to dislike her job! Everyone else was so friendly, especially the bar manger, Julie : what a really lovely lady. Entertainment was good each evening - a singer, some bingo and a quiz - great way to mix with fellow guests and a great laugh. So there you have it, a fair and honest review. Would I return - yes I would. Great location, lovely staff, good food and exceptional value for money, but the hotel needs to remember that good value for money doesn’t mean that corners should be cut, and plenty were! Sort out the housekeeping issues, fix the things that need fixing and for goodness sake clean the pools changing area and showers and it’ll be perfect.
Stayed here for 8 nights self drive break from 18th May. We arrived early but were met by a helpful receptionist and used the coffee shop for a snack. Once checked in our room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. All staff were very helpful and friendly and exceptionally hard working. There were several choices for dinner and breakfast. The bar and coffee shop prices were very reasonable.Location of the hotel was perfect for us. A short walk into town and around 75 metres walk to the greensward Barrowfields. There was entertainment every evening. Would we stay at this hotel again? Most definitely.! Highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed at the Barrowfield Hotel from May 23rd to May 27th as part of a coach holiday, and we had such a wonderful time from start to finish. The whole experience was relaxing, enjoyable and made even better by the fantastic staff throughout the hotel. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with anything we needed. Our room was lovely, comfortable and very well maintained during our stay. A huge thank you to our housekeeper Jessie, who did an amazing job every single day keeping the room spotless, tidy and fresh. It was always so nice coming back after a day out in Newquay to find everything beautifully cleaned and organised. Her hard work and attention to detail really did make our stay extra comfortable. The restaurant staff were also excellent, especially Jenna, who was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay. She was always cheerful, attentive and professional, and nothing was ever too much trouble. She made every meal feel welcoming and enjoyable, and her lovely personality really stood out. All of the staff worked incredibly hard and always had smiles on their faces, creating such a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel. The food was another highlight of the holiday. Breakfast each morning was excellent with plenty of choice and everything cooked really well. The three-course evening meals were delicious every night, with good portions, lots of variety and meals we genuinely looked forward to each evening. Compliments to the chefs and restaurant team for making dining such a lovely experience. Overall, we had a fantastic coach holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The combination of the lovely hotel, excellent food, comfortable room and truly wonderful staff made for a memorable few days away. A special thank you again to Jessie and Jenna for helping make our holiday so special. We would definitely return and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Newquay. 🌟
Nice & clean Staff very friendly nothing to bother for them , especially the guy on reception, can’t rennet his name , he was a manager for costa.
Pool
Walls so thin people keeping us awake just talking normally at 2 am
Overpriced for a three star hotel. We paid £667 for three nights bed & breakfast. The hotel is dated, no WiFi in the bedrooms and restricted access in the reception downstairs, basic breakfast that you have to preorder. The rooms are noisy, soundproofing not good, we could hear people walking around in the room above and in the bathroom next door. Plumbing very noisy, on and off all night. The saving grace is the fact that the staff are more than helpful.
Went to barrowfield hotel .was not impressed at all . Good was . Warm. The portion s were small. Tea coffee was always warm .fried bread was like eating rubber. The. Beds were not made properly . The bath panel was broken. The chair in our. Bedroom was filthy The whole place. Needs re furnishing Won't be going there again.
I’ve just returned from a lovely 5-day stay at Barrowfield Hotel, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. What really made the holiday special was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff—their positive attitude genuinely made a difference throughout our stay. The hotel is in a great location near the beach, and I loved that the area itself has such a long history—Newquay’s roots as a fishing village and the ancient “Barrowfields” nearby give it a bit of extra character without taking away from that classic seaside holiday feel. A special thank you to Julie and Jack in the bar, who worked tirelessly and always with a smile. Their hard work and great service didn’t go unnoticed and added so much to the atmosphere. Would happily return!
Have been going to this hotel for years as conveniently located for visiting family. Always been so so. However, now it is SUPERB! From the new manager Jayne, Bar Manager Julie, barman Jack, waitress Jenna and the lovely Charlie they all made our stay BETTER than good. Food, good and, for once hot. This is down to the new head chef. So, if you haven't been, what you waiting for?
Just got back from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We were greeted by the General Manager, she was very welcoming and explained all we needed to know. Our bags were taken to our room. (109) It was a twin with a walkin shower on the first floor. Perfect! The food, Breakfast & Evening meal, was quality and well served. The serving staff work very efficiently, are polite and helpful. The entertainment was Ok and the drinks prices were very good, as was the bar staff who copped very well. Bingo was well supported! At checkout our bags were collected from our rooms and taken to the coach. We had our last Breakfast and said our goodbyes, thanked the staff and boarded the coach. It had been a great 4 days. Rebecca certainly runs a great Hotel !!!
recently stayed for 4 nights with a group from Mill farm, Pagham West Sussex. had great room with great view, very clean. all staff throughout hotel very friendly and helpful, especially bev`in coffee shop, new her job well and so very helpful. Would recommend to anbody wanting to stay in the area
Lovely hotel convenient by bus stops to other parts of Cornwall, Zoo, beaches and Newquay town centre. Attentive and cheerful staff, porter service and lift to all floors. Have to commend especially our wonderful waitress Jenna and thanks again to Jane the Manager. Will come back again when we can
went with caledonian hotel is ok rooms very clean, bed was comfy food was good staff very helpful great location bout 10/15 mins to walk into newquay bus stop outside the hotel with regular buses to get around Tesco Express a short walk away also Tolcarne Beach would come again
Stopped here whilst on a short break with Caledonian Travel was apprehensive at first after reading some reviews Our room was clean and the bed was really comfy. food was good and staff very polite and helpful Good location just a 10/15 walk into Newquay and a 2 min walk to Tolcarne Beach and Tesco Express Theres a bus stop outside the hotel with regular buses We will be back
Just got back from a 4 night stay at this hotel we had a really good experience the hotel was a little dated but great Value for what you pay i would like to send a big thank you to Jack on the bar he made our stay complete i would be grateful if you could let him know what an asset he is to the company many thanks
The location and the staff behaviour
The hotel was pretty basic. It lacked a phone to talk to the reception, the booking.com says free wifi but its not in the room but in the common area and that too wobbly. It did not have shampoo, conditioner and a basic hand wash as well
Location, staff, pool and housekeeping all fantasic. Clean and bathroom very good with Powerful shower and huge bath. The garden is big and when they have finished renovations the games room will be great
Car park is horrendous if one person doesn't park straight then it messes up the spaces either side as it's very tight spaces and diagonal. The rooms are extremely warm as the central is on full temp all night which in April is extreme. It's a noisy hotel so not great if your a light sleeper
Nothing, worse experience ever, the place is full with old people and everywhere u can feel that smell of old people 😅😅
On booking doesn't say nowhere the place is full with older people, God !!!
On first arriving, the outside of the hotel looked a bit shabby, but once inside it was clean and tidy and welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable and with daily housekeeping was clean and well stocked. The dining room was busy but food arrived promptly and was hot and tasty. Drinks were reasonably priced, but had to be bought in the bar for the table. The hotel has bus stops outside for easy trips into Newquay and the surrounding area. There is a Tesco express a short walk away. Newquay is pleasant stroll along the cliff road, although I enjoyed a bus ride into Truro more. A bonus at the hotel was the indoor pool. Very clean and warm and thoroughly enjoyable. As at all the Daish's hotels we've stayed at, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Another good and very affordable break.
Came here on a Caledonian coach trip in March 2026. We enjoyed our stay here. We found bedroom clean with no problems. Food ok quickly delivered. Staff friendly and hard working. Small lift could only fit two people but despite hotel being full we did`nt have a problem using it. Pool was nice. Short walk into centre. Bus stop just outside of hotel. We would say that this was one of the best hotels we have been to with Caladonian.
The hotel was full which should say how popular it was . We had a lovely quiet room the only downside is the shower over bath ,it is not good when you cannot climb into a bath so 1 out of 10 for that . The hotel is clean ,the rooms clean , bingo and entertainment ,near a local bus stop , close to a pleasant walk into town .However what ruined it was the food delivery , the restaurant was full and lack of enough staff lead to most meals being cold or luke warm on arrival at table . It should be kitchen to table no leaving meals on side checking order first . For that reason I doubt that I shall return .
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay this week. I stayed for an overall 4 nights and found my room to be nice and clean. The location is great and right by Tolcarne Beach! The staff were incredible- I’d like to thank Kirsty the receptionist she was ever so helpful and provided me with lots of information about what Barrowfield has to offer! Tegan who works in the restaurant was amazing too, very friendly and she was quick to serve us. I’d recommend this hotel to those who want a nice getaway to enjoy Newquay as it’s personally one of my favourite places to visit.
We were part of an independent coach trip ( not daishes ) ( around 32 of us ) .We were given a very warm welcome and the whole stay was pleasant . Nice clean room ,comfy beds , everything worked that was suppose to work . Had a small blip with the wash basin being blocked which we mentioned to reception on our way to breakfast. By the time we'd eaten and gone back it was sorted , very efficient . Husband is gluten free and couldn't fault the service and attention he had . There was enough choice on the menu ,and didn't hear anyone complaining . Waiters were very good , our main waiter was Arnau who was Spanish and nothing was too much trouble . Our group said they enjoyed bingo and entertainment each evening . Mothers day all the ladies were given a flower , a chocolate and a free drink . Bar prices and snacks , hot drinks etc very reasonable .All the staff were helpful and pleasant . Would definitely stay again
Just back from a 5 day coach holiday at Barrowfield hotel Newquay, very good staff, fab meals, clean, comfy bed/ room, + a swimming pool !! don't know how they do it for the price! + entertainment every night, and as it was mothering Sunday before the evening meal for the lady's a glass of sherry+ chocolates, a fantastic break, thank you.
All staff were polite and helpful, special thanks to Arnall the waiter, always obliging.
My husband and I have just spent 4 nights and are very satisfied with our stay; very clean, excellent value, good food, cheerful staff, evening entertainment, small swimming pool and perfect location so close to sea and town centre. Cathy the deputy manager was very helpful, as well as Kirsty the receptionist. And Kegan is a very efficient cheerful waitress. And on Mother's day, the ladies were all treated to a glass of Baileys, a chocolate heart and a rose! Such a nice touch!
We had a lovely 4 night break. All of the staff were very polite, helpful & friendly. A variety of food was available daily in the restaurant and a well stocked bar. Entertainment & Bingo every night. Twin room was very spaceous. Lovely indoor heated pool. Good location with a bus stop outside the hotel.
Just back from a Cornish short break. Stayed 4 nights at Daish's Barrowfields hotel in Newquay. We had a very pleasant time. The hotel was warm, clean and welcoming. Food and entertainment was very good value for what we paid and l would like to give shout out to our hard working waitress Tegan. We will be returning to this hotel in the future.

We've just came back from a 5 day holiday with dashies at the barrowfield Hotel. We had the most lovely time. Jane the manageress is fantastic can't do enough for the guests and her staff and she works so hard . Teegan our waitress was so helpful and helped me make my mother in laws 74th birthday extra special. Helena was our house keeper and even when she didn't need to come in the room she left us with drink supplies Jack and the bar staff was great and all staff was approachable and a credit to Jane and dashies. The meals was excellent always hot and a good choice. Hotel was clean and plenty of seating options. Room 3 was our room and it was lovely I will be returning next time by myself for a bit of me time. Value for money can't beat it. Beach is stunning and shops for what you need . Thank you all .
Pleasent room. Good food. Clean friendly environment. Staff and manager really good and helpful
I went as a solo traveler never done it before never been on the coach treat before but I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed myself was a bit apprehensive at first of going on my own but everybody was so kind to me especially when they found out that I got travel sit trying to help me and things the staff in the hotel were also brilliant and I can't complain about the food either which is unusual for me because I generally got something to complain about. Unfortunately I can complain about the weather but that isn't our faults that's left into the hands of the gods. I booked the trip away as a present for myself as it was my birthday. I would definitely recommend going, if people can travel on a coach without feeling ill like I did but that was sorted on the way back as I got some tablets for that. Definitely enough of variety of food on the menu for breakfast and dinner, swimming pool also, though I didn't take advantage of it I was going to but I felt a bit silly going in on my own. The only thing I can say, was I do think it means well my bedroom did anyway and upgrade of furniture.
The breakfast was ok My kids liked it
The lift was very small hardly a wheelchair could fit in it We struggled to get our children’s wheelchair in the lift and the doors were a reasonable size not very big In the morning the lift broke down so we had to bring wheelchairs down the stairs which were dangerously heavy
Family feel
We chose worst week to come as facilities limited due to festival snd life not working
