We found the Hotel well placed and comfortable, fantastic friendly staff and exceptional food which was fantastic. Both the Breakfast had a god choice and was very tasty and the Evening menu had a fantastic selection and was good and well priced. There was ample parking at the Hotel

The place is good its by citi centre & beach, the staff is friendly, our room is ok clean, the foods is amazing the staff so friendly the service is brilliant, they clean ur room evwrday, we would loved to stay again hope the downside review will give an action.

The shower is needed more poweful to call it shower, it take more time to get rid all the soap in my hair, its really not good water flow...no iron & no iron board, we iron our clothes in table &good thing we bring our travel iron, the blower in our room is broke scared to use it cos making dif noise, i bring my fan & dry my hair on it,, i will make sure i will bring my hair blower just incase.

Das Zimmer im Griffin Inn war für eine Nacht in Ordnung und auch sauber. Länger würde ich da nicht bleiben wollen.

Der hoteleigene Pub war nicht sehr einladend, roch etwas unangenehm und die Tische klebten.

Auscheckende Reisegruppe hat uns informiert das es Wanzen in diversen Zimmer hatte.Reinigung nicht professionell. Keine Info als wir vorzeitig einchecken wollten. So haben wir nicht eingecheckt. Über Hotel/Booking com wollten wir stornieren ohne Gebühren. Negativer Bescheid.

Hotel lag centraal.

De douchedeuren hingen niet in gareel het water liep naar buiten, de ramen konden maar een klein beetje open en het was ontzettend heet in de kamer. Geen fan of airco.

Lovely hotel in town centre ,if a little noisy from road traffic & extractor fan from kitchen if occupying front bedroom. Pillows very hard,& breakfast time finishes too early for holidaymakers!!

The room needs a lick of paint marks on the wall, the bunk bed poles on ladder looked like they been burnt due to possible resoldiering. Also found 2 silver fish in the bathroom. And the room was also very warm/hot and has no aircon. No clear instructions were also given when and where the breakfast would be.

Huoneemme oli kadulle päin, joten melu kuului sinne varsinkin, kun kuuman sään takia halusimme pitää ikkunoita auki. Huone oli melko lämmin.

The property was lovely. It’s an old hotel but it’s been renovated in recent years. Breakfast nice and parking was good.

Unfortunately it’s opposite a weatherspoons. And whilst I don’t have a problem with weatherspoons they do attract weatherspoons types. Very loud noisy obnoxious drinkers! The noise went on until at least 2am. Then at 5:30am the drum and bass started from an adjacent property. So not a great nights sleep. None of this is the hotels fault but just a heads up the hotel is in “that end” of town. But great it that’s your thing.

Stayed two nights at The Griffin Inn July 26 whilst on motorcycle tour. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Really good breakfast and you'll most definitely not start your day feeling hungry. Location is great which is central to the town and beaches a few minutes walk. Only down side is the rooms. The bed is a small double, seriously uncomfortable, no air conditioning or ceiling fans as during the day it was 26c plus. I paid £274 for two nights with breakfast and parking which isn't bad. Otherwise a decent B&B

Location was good,the room was clean and staff were pleasant.

Nothing to much tbh,the loo in room 8 needs the water pressure increased as it took up to 4 flushes using the large button to clear the loo after a sit down. The last breakfast was a bit disappointing as the toast was burnt. The toast for the poached egg tasted of vinegar not sure why.

Es war soweit ok für eine Nacht

Im Zimmer 17 extrem laute Lüftung von der Küche, welche jedoch wenigstens nach 21:00 Uhr abstellt jedoch um 07:00 wieder beginnt. Hotel an der Strasse und in nähe von Pubs deshalb laut. Zimmer eher klein.

Noisy at night, but there was England playing so probably not usually that noisy. Fire alarm went off in the night. Obviously false alarm but scared the life out of us. Wetherspoons opposite open till 1am.

Great location for what we wanted. Staff on checking in were nice and friendly and explained things se needed to know. I checked about the gluten free breakfast again, this was confirmed. Bedsheets and bathroom were clean. Bed was some what comfortable. Lovely that we could park on site. Would use again as price was good, other than breakfast waitress, staff we met were lovely.

After emailing and checking breakfast was gluten free and confirming by telephone. When we got down for breakfast the lady waitress, said it would of been nice to know this information. When I replied it was confirmed via email and telephone. Her reply was curt and said they wouldn't know what was being cooked in the kitchen or the stock they had. As it was the breakfast was gluten free. It was cooked fresh apparently, quite greasy but edible and luke warm rather than hot but we didn't want to complain as we felt it wouldn't have mattered. Our room was nice enough, not thoroughly cleaned, we had to clean the desk and chair and there was mould on the ceiling above the curtains and bed. See pictures. We didn't complain as we were going to be out all afternoon and evening and not getting in until early hours. Up early, for breakfast and leave.

Das Hotel liegt an einer lauten und belebten Hauptstraße, die Zweibettzimmer liegen lt. Betreiber/Mitarbeiter alle zur Straße hin. Direkt unter unserem Zimmer war der Außenbereich des Hotelpubs (also laut und Zigarettenrauch) und die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz . Da es sehr warm war, waren wir gezwungen, die Fenster zu öffnen. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es nicht. Fahrstuhl immer noch defekt (in mehreren Bewertungen bereits erwähnt). Die Toilettenspülung war äußerst schwergängig, Wasserdruck auch beim Duschen schwach. Matratzen unbequem. Frühstück nur nach Bestellung aus einer rustikalen Karte. Kein Käse, kein Schinken, am ersten Tag auch kein Obst (am 2. Tag 1 Banane!!!). Alles ist abgepackt (Cornflakes, Marmelade, Joghurt), qualitativ nicht hochwertig. Das schlechteste Frühstück der ganzen Reise.

The room was way to hot and couldn’t sleep even with a fan on , the bathroom was very hot and smelt of bad drainage ,the breakfast was finished by nine which is way to early when you are away for a rest

Zentrale Lage, etwa 5 Gehminuten zur Bushaltestelle (East Post Office oder Great Western Hotel) und zum Bahnhof, 10 Gehminuten in die Innenstadt und zum Busbahnhof (auch Flixbusstation), 10 Gehminuten zum Tolcarne Beach. Viele Cafés und Restaurants rund um das Hotel, auch kleine Geschäfte, ein grosser Aldi fast direkt nebenan, ein kleinerer Tesco etwa 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Abends kann es bei einem Zimmer, das zur Straße zeigt recht lange laut sein. WiFi ist gut, Wasserkocher und Tee, Kaffee und Kekse sind vorhanden. Frühstück ist a la Carte, von English Muffin über Full English Breakfast ist alles dabei. Nettes Personal! Mittag- und Abendessen gibt es auch im Pub, hier kann man auch schön draußen sitzen.

The room we had needs a bit of work the temperature control in the shower was broken so it was just hot water couldn't get it to cool needs replacing

Location is superb for the town centre and only a short walk to the beach. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfasts were very good. We were in Room 1, which although a little small it had the best sea view and a comfortable bed. It was great to have free parking for our stay.

We thought that cereals, yogurt, fruit and juice would be laid out buffet style so we could see what was available for us to help ourselves instead of having to ask. The only lights in the room were a bright main light and a small ceiling spotlight. It meant it was difficult to read in bed because of the shadows. It would be nice to have at least one table lamp in the room for ambience/reading.

Booked as advertised it had a lift. Was visiting to scatter my fathers ashes with my elderly mother who unfortunately had been in an accident and was very mobility impaired and was using a zimmer walker just to get around and thus when I booked it said it had a lift I was relieved. Got there to discover the stairs to the room were very steep and the lift was “ being serviced” and we could not use it. I wouldn’t mind but before paying I actually rang to ask if there was disabled parking outside as my mother couldnt walk far as she had been in an accident, so if the staff member had actually took a moment to make me aware the lift was not able to be used I wouldn’t have booked as it made it very difficult for my already distressed mother.

Stayed for 3 nights and found everything good. FREE PARKING is a massive incentive for booking. Staff and food were excellent with generous helpings of food at breakfast and dinner. The room (10) was a decent size with large TV, although generally good, in the bathroom 1 hand towel per person would be an improvement. Will stay again.

Original room was above a kitchen extraction unit only told that on arrival so too late to book elsewhere Original room had unpleasant smell. Very bad bed, sat on the mattress and it flattened straight to the slats that you could feel through it Broken bucket chair that when sat on fell forward could have resulted in quite unpleasant injury to be fair. New room had a better bed and mattress but was cramped with large bunk bed in there as it was a family room, a purpose it was far too small for. Shower pressure in new room also had terrible low pressure which made showering a lengthy process Random shoe left in the hallway throughout whole stay

Beds were too small and uncomfortable. Meant to a double bedroom and it was a 3/4bed which had sprung mattress that needed to be replaced. TV in the room had a yellow line on the screen when tv on. Shower okay but would have been nice if it was a power shower.

Nearly everything. A very good place to stay for holliday. Good breakfast, fine personal, a very goog Sunday Roast, nice room, and not expensive. A pint of beer was only 5 pound. We had a good stay at the Griffin and would certainly come back.

In the dining room the music is not my kind of thing. It makes me a little bit nervous...

Rooms have everything you need facility wise, good location and staff were friendly. Very clean rooms so well done.

The breakfast was very good. The staff were both friendly and competent. I would definitely recommend the Griffin Inn to anyone. I will certainly stay there again in the future.

I cant really criticise anything in particular. Everything was to our satisfaction. The location is perfect and with parking is a big bonus.
