It was close to everything

No parking and fire alarm went off at 6am and had to leave due to no one attended to it, had to be up at 7am

Nice location to get around Newquay on foot and to get down to the beaches. Rooms are comfortable and affordable and we had a decent bed. I would stay again

Street noise is a little loud and 5a.m the dump trucks were out collecting bottles, glass. It probably only happens every 2 weeks . Maybe a little extra glazing on the windows could go a long way to reduce outside noise.

The lodge doesn't have any parking. It's very difficult to unload and load bags especially when travelling with family

Very clean, welcoming place, and excellent location - great value for money, and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a room with a private bathroom when we arrived, that extra really made us feel valued and so I would use this place when visiting Newquay again. Very accommodating!

Centrally located, beaches and train station just a few steps away.

Facilities in comparison to the price. Too expensive for its standard. I don’t want to take the name but I am a regular customer of famous English chain hotel which offers standard services with affordable prices. In fact, my children and my wife were disappointed to notice the standard beyond their expectations

The location is perfect, friendly and helpful staff, lovely clean room. Great price .

The only downside was the parking situation, but still carparks close to hotel, and the bunk beds were a little to high for our younger children.

Very pleased with our stay. The hotel is good value for money, our room was clean and very quiet considering the central location. All the staff who we met (receptionist, breakfast, cleaning team) were very helpful and friendly.

Very nice staff, rooms are clean, great location close to amenities, town centre and a very nice beach. Although we didn't get the breakfast but it looked nice.

Room was small, although manageable. There is no parking on site, but there is a council parking about 5minutes walk from the hotel.

Very nice area to eat your own food at the dedicated place downstairs, with all needed cutlery plates and microwave/oven. Very close to the beach and the high street. Staff were helpful.

Rooms are very small and the bathrooms are very small. The sheets weren't clean, the beds weren't very comfortable and the windows had to be open at all times due to the heat and no ac. The rooms and bathrooms were poorly designed. The room we stayed at was designed for 3 but we were 2 people and I don't think we could have stayed in that room as 3.

The room was tiny and when asked about cleaning the room, the reply was we only cleaned the room once in three days .The room was nowhere near a family room, one adult could hardly fit in the shower The room was warm even though we had two fans . When some of the food ran out at breakfast, for example, milk, yogurt, coffee and bread they will refill when we were full.

Helpful staff who sorted out parking for me. Great location and value for money for last minute booking i did.

Only the location was ideal

I had booked for bed and breakfast for 2 nights.The staff is unfriendly. They don't do their job. They don't refill our room with sugar, coffee and tea, they do not take out dirty cups, neither clean the table or even make the beds. I made the beds that were down and when we came back it was still like that. The kids beds upstairs were not made. They only came to clean the wet floor on the tiny bathroom because when you shower water goes all over the floor. They also have old bath towels. There are no bath sheets at all. These have to go. They have been used many times. For these to days breakfast was horrible, the worst we have had. The flies were all over the fruits, cheese, cold meats and croissants making these unedible. The eggs were not freshly boiled looked like they were from the previous day. Unfortunately I couldn't eat even one I had to throw it in the bin. There is no hot English breakfast. This is just a waste of money. Infact breakfast somewhere else is far better. I will never book this again. All in all a waste of over £400

⭐ What we liked - Great location — short walk to the town centre and beaches - Good value for a comfortable stay - Clean and tidy throughout the week - Fresh towels & linen replaced regularly - Useful toiletries — soap, shower gel and toilet roll provided - Good shower with decent pressure - Comfortable bed for a solid night’s sleep.

⚠️ What we didn’t like - Room size — the room was quite small, so it felt a bit tight for four people - Reception interaction — the gentleman on reception sometimes came across a little distant, though he wasn’t unhelpful - Phone support — the lady we spoke to on the phone was excellent, which balanced things out

I expected better breakfast with bigger choice. Not fan of cold breakfast. No parking, very annoying when you have lots of bags to take and have to search for a space to park.

The place is pretty nice and quite pleasant, and the staff are very wonderful.

I liked how it the property was close to everywhere, close to the beach close to shops close to restaurants etc. Lovely staff too

Their check in time of 4pm is outrageous, absolutely not nice because most people come in from different parts and their train/coach/flight usually arrives early like mine, I arrived Newquay at 10am ish. Although I sent a message days before coming to inform them I will be arriving in the morning and they made provision for my friends and I to have a room to change our clothes and head to the beach then at 4pm we came back to check in, it was nice they gave us a place to change but it would be nicer they include their check in time in their ads or make the time at least 2pm. Aside that every other thing was great

Close to beach and amenities

No staff on arrival, had to wait for someone to show up and check us in. Faulty extractor fan causing a burning smell, couldn't switch the bathroom light on. Blocked sink causing a smell of rotten eggs when running the tap. No staff to report this to as no-one on site.

Check-in staff very bad.. I didn't get any mail for late Check-in code and nobody reposed on call and message. I was struggling 2 hours in night. Washroom was locked overnight nobody there for helping. I able to use Washroom in morning after 10 am. So frustrated things happened🫥😑

Noisy guests running around the hotel all night until 3am. Woke my 7 month old baby and 4 year old . Had to confront guests personally due to no staff working nights to resolve the situation

Because this property is in city centre there is no particular dedicated perking.

Really clean hotel room, modern bathroom and appreciated the tea, coffee and fridge facilities. Flat screen smart TV. Excellent location, walking distance for everything & loads of restaurants, cafe’s and bars near by.

Only minor inconvenience was no lamp next to the bed & walls were quite thin but never felt disturbed.

Me and my partner really enjoyed it we only been together a month excellent price we will be coming back in the future thankyou and the staff very polite the room very clean

Room was outrageously hot, sink was broken, shower tray nearly overflowed, found hairs, looked like a prison cell, paint was poor, everything was scuffed and just run down. Rough area.

Staff was nice and helpful, after the booking I was told no breakfast included, on arrival they've told me that continental breakfast is included, which was nice.

Great location to beaches, shops and restaurants/cafes. Friendly and welcoming staff, helped us with our luggage to the top floor. Happy for us to check in slightly earlier. Room was exactly as I was lead to believe from pictures and based on the price. Think this would be an ideal room for a family of four to base themselves and explore the area or for groups of friends. Downstairs has a shared cooking and lounge area. Secure with CTV in appropriate areas and keypad access to enter building.

Nice hotel

The hotel has a great location — just a five-minute walk to the beach. Easy to go for a morning stroll, come back to rest during the day, and head out again in the evening. The area is quiet, and there's a café nearby.

The bathroom faucet leaked throughout the stay, and the drain clogged after every shower. I reported the issue at reception and was told it would be fixed the next day, but no repair was made during my entire visit.
