We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and family-friendly. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. There is also a basketball court beside the hotel, which was a nice bonus for enjoying a quick game with the family. The swimming pool is a little on the smaller side, but it was clean and perfectly good for some light swimming and relaxation. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to families looking for a comfortable stay in a nice location.
The main area that could be improved is the weekday breakfast service. During the weekend, the breakfast experience was great, with reasonable hours until 10:00 AM and good service. However, on Monday, breakfast was available only from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, which can be quite early and inconvenient for families travelling with children. We arrived around 8:00 AM, but unfortunately, many of the breakfast items were already finished and were not replenished. As a result, we had to make do with whatever food was still available. It would be great if the hotel could reconsider its weekday breakfast policy—either by extending the hours slightly or, at the very least, ensuring that all breakfast items are adequately replenished until the advertised closing time. This would make the experience much more family-friendly.
How nice and the xtra information with a letter about water issues.. very friendly
Nothing was wrong
Located in a safe area of Sudbury, clean, good parking. Included breakfast was much better than most. Comfy beds and powerful shower.
pricey
Spacious separated spaces. Great for families with kids.
The pull out sofa bed can feel like sleeping on springs unless you pad it with some thick comforters. We used at least 5 or 6.
Clean and comfortable!
We requested a main floor suite over a month prior to or stay. When we arrived and checked in we were informed we couldn’t get our request as requested! The person at the front desk informed us that even though the request was far in advance it does not mean it will be fulfilled. The special requests are assigned on the day reserved. My question then is why ask for special requests if they will not be fulfilled!
Great breakfast
Beautiful room. Eduardo excellent checking us in. Unfortunately pullout couch had no mattress just a couple of thin blankets. Was like sleeping on barbed wire. Very unpleasant
Pull out couch with no mattress Also mentioned above problem tomLinda when checking out. As my granddaughter 12 said. Grandpa she could Not have cared less
Im currently working on my diamond for life this year as I’ve achieved platinum for life at marriott and im now rethinking my decisions as I come to find that overall titanium elite benefits and overall customer service is superior at marriott. I was not aware of the peasantry practice of now charging for late checkout. Considering that I own a small hotel this would have never even occurred that anyone would do that for 30 minutes or an hour late checkout. I’ll probably stay elsewhere next time the 12 years as a return customer means nothing here.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, the room was what we expected, and clean.
The kitchen staff is not fully aware of accommodating allergies. My son has Celiac and we wanted to see what is gluten-free so he could eat. It was mentioned that when the kitchen receives containers, the labels are not kept, but thrown out. A simple thing such as keeping the labels in an accessible location would be super helpful for people with allergies.
Homewood Suites are generally a good value in hotels and this is no exception. The hotel provides spacious, clean accommodation with a decent breakfast. They were able to provide gluten-free bread for my wife. Check-in was easy and staff were all very friendly. One note: the shower head and taps needed repair or replacement.
It was conveniently located, very clean & loved the amount of space in our room.
The elevator was very glitchy and sounded sketchy. The layout of the room was a bit odd as well, with the way the TV was facing and a random table in the middle. BUT that’s not enough to decrease the quality of our stay.
Impeccable area, lots to do
exceeds expectations. great location.

Convenient location, clean, suite allows comfort for multiple nights, great breakfast
I booked 2 suites. My mom had issues with her toilet that weren’t resolved in a reasonable time. The cleaning staff indicated to hang the do not disturb on the door if cleaning not required. Later learned maintenance would not enter if do not disturb was on door
Very welcoming and clean
The convinience of being near to certain things.
The room we got was quite outdated. Cupboard were full of crumbs. Under the bedsheets was full of crumbs, blood stain near my bed on the carpet, no decaf coffee at the breakfast, boxed foods instead fresh. Not long ago my sister stayed there and there was a coachroah on the bathroom counter. We paid almost 300.00 for a really outdated room for 1 night. Its crazy priced. I get cheaper and more updated rooms in Toronto for that price. I'm quite disappointed and this is probably the last time we rent a room in this hotel.
One of the best hotel breakfast buffets we've been to in Ontario
The elevator is extremely noisy 😑 woke us up approximately 7am.
Netflix! And it greeted me with my name already on the screen of the tv
The staff were very friendly especially Linda at check in and check out. The room was spacious.
A dirty towel was left on the hanger on the bathroom door and the breakfast eggs were cold.
Staff very pleasant, great rooms, great variety for breakfast.
Nice staff, good location and clean
Can’t close curtains so light comes in during the night plus privacy issue. Walls are so thin that I could hear next room coughing all night. Pumps of shampoo/ soap in shower didn’t work. Food was not welcoming so I just grabbed a yogurt for breakfast.
Great staff, nice sized suite, great free hot breakfast...with choices. Easy to check in and easy to check out. Definitely "The" place to stay in Sudbury for us, and we've stayed in many places in Sudbury. Looking forward to staying here again.
That it’s all Suites
Breakfast ends too early
The layout of the sweet was convenient with two kids
The pool was filthy. It was green and you couldn’t see the bottom of, it was only 4 ft deep. I didn’t go past the stairs my children were disappointed. I had been waiting a new credit card in the mail so I didn’t have my physical card on me, it was 10 pm when I was checking in and the front desk clerk gave me a hard time even though I had my card on Apple Pay and I booked with that card through booking.com she wouldn’t proceed. I had to load money onto my koho account and use that credit card even though it was just on my phone as well and not a physical card, she accepted that for some reason. It took an hour to get in our room and I had two young kids.
The room size was amazing and loved the kitchenette.
Nothing, everything was amazing. Maybe the turkey bacon at breakfast lol
Good solid property with good value for the stay, with polite staff. Very clean facilities, except the maintenance of the car parking.
Due to the snowfall, the parking was not taken care of with a lot of snow around. Vehicles, specially those not AWD/ 4WD would tend to get stuck right at the parking driveway / doorstep of the hotel.
Excellent location and a variety of options for breakfast. We enjoyed the pool facilities and the decor made our Christmas vacation extra warm and comforting.
The girls hockey team seemed to think it was appropriate to run around the halls and cause a disturbance, but management helped us a few days later.
Pillows were awful
Everything was superb! Will continue to book at your location. Staff was friendly and very attentive.
No complaints
the breakfast is good enough than I expected.
If there are some banana in Fruit plate, It will more better.
Cleanliness
Actually the Breakfast was a little disappointing
L’accueil La propreté
Le déjeuner était ordinaire Pas de bacon Les œufs était froid
Pet rooms are dated and not kept well. Ours had stains on the ceiling, walls and the pleather chairs were peeling everywhere.
The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff, from reception to housekeeping, were very friendly and professional. I will be staying here again when I return for work next year.
Very comfortable, clean, friendly staff. Nice place to stay
This was a great stay, very clean, great staff. The pool was clean, warm and open late. The basketball court was a great add on! Staff were kind. The only issue I had, was receiving a wake up call at 730am when I did not request one. Overall experience was excellent
Huge room. Fairly quiet. Dining options nearby. Great breakfast!
Desk staff were very good. Poor ventilation in bathroom resulting in moldy areas around tub. Surface of dinette table was dirty (we wiped a spill and remnants of red sauce came off) and dinette chairs seat covers need to be recovered. Sofa and chair were new.
It was a good experience for us.
Property is dated. Room was clean but for price I didn’t expect to have torn carpet, torn up chairs and scratched furniture. I would have expected better from this hotel.
Great place to stay. Clean and good breakfast.
Everything was fantastic especially the bonus little dinner offered on the Wednesday night.
Nothing
Size of the room was great. Breakfast was nice and had good selection,
Shower dispensers for body ways were empty. Also there was a strange sound that we felt was in the walls that way annoying....we think it might have ben the flag pole just out side our room on the 4th floor that would hear the metal hitting the pole in the wind but not sure...had to turn on the fan to hide the noise.
Our stay was perfect, and we were impressed by the service and the amenities. The breakfast was excellent, and the Wednesday evening light meal on offer was a very pleasant surprise! The pool, basketball nets, and games available to borrow make Homewood Suites Sudbury an excellent place for families, and whenever we’re back in town, we will definitely stay there!
When I checked in, the front desk attendant seemed distracted and gave me no info on wifi, breakfast or parking, although I heard her give this info to the person ahead of me. Room was nice and comfortable, although the toilet seat litterally would not stay up without me having to hold it! Seemed odd...
Nice place, some updates needed
Liked everything.
The kitchen staff were amazing!! So helpful, happy and efficient!! Wonderful selection of food!! Sadly, our pull out couch was HORRIBLE!!! I asked for a replacement but was told there were not any. Myself and my daughter slept on it for 2 nights and had actual springs sticking in our backs!! My back is still sore at home.
The powder room sink in my suite was a well lit place to get your look together.
Honestly, the business desk in the middle of the suite was a hazard once all the lights were off.
We stayed here to allow my husband to recoop from back surgery (we are from out of town) The property was nice, bed very comfortable. Living room furniture was very uncomfortable however. Sofa sank uncomfortably (i think the sofa bed affected its comfort) Side chair was extremely tall compared to the sofa. Kitchen chairs were solid, but fabric definitely showing its age. Wifi was challenging - we were told it is because of the side of the building (too close to sister hotel - so we kept picking up their wifi, but it wouldn't let us connect to it) I had to keep taking my computer down the hallway to connect and then return to our room. Very inconvenient. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful.
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite at Homewood Suites while my husband recovered from back surgery, and overall, it was a very convenient and comfortable choice. The king bed was excellent—supportive and cozy—and the washroom off the bedroom was a smart layout for easy access. The kitchen was well-equipped with a stovetop, microwave, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and enough counter space to prep small meals without feeling cramped. The dining table doubled nicely as my remote work station while my husband rested, which made juggling caregiving and work much easier. The included breakfast was quite good, with a mix of hot and cold options that kept things interesting each morning. Now for the quirks: the Wi-Fi was a bit of a scavenger hunt. Our room kept connecting to the sister property next door, which didn’t recognize our login—so I had to take my laptop on a daily hallway stroll just to catch the right signal. Not ideal, but I got my steps in! The dining chairs were showing their age, and the living room couch had a mysterious sinkhole where the sofa bed hides—definitely not nap-friendly. The living room chair was oddly tall compared to the couch, making seating arrangements feel like a game of uneven musical chairs. Despite those hiccups, the suite was clean, quiet, and well laid out. It served our needs well during a challenging time, and we appreciated the space and amenities.
Very good.
Nothing.
I really enjoyed the spacious room and kitchen with all the necessities. We enjoyed the pool and loved that everything is close by.
Location
Parking lot lights not on at night
Great ambience, amazing hospitality, excellent customer service.
very nice staff, just be aware that this hotel has a dog can stay policy, if you do not care for other people's pets, be sure to stay off of floors one and two. We lucked out and was on floor 5. Nice rooms, and easing parking. highly recommend except for the pet policy
It was a nice and clean environment
Great
Great
Pool was wet
The fire alarm was pulled and we were outside for an hour and a half. During the incident, not one employee apologized to anyone. We were barely even told we could go back in. The next morning checking out the "person" at the counter didn't even ask how our stay was nor offered a discount, nor apologized. Awful after care for having to stand outside in 5 degree weather in your pyjamas. One guy was sitting on his walker with a sheet on. I travel quite a bit for work and have had this happen. When it does, actually good hotel staff will really try to make it up to you. Not Hilton. I vow I'll never stay at a Hilton again and tell everyone just how dogwater the customer service is when dealing with evacuations and client care.
