Pickalbatros Aqua Vista Resort - Hurghada

I usually don’t write reviews, but unfortunately, after our recent stay, I felt I had to share our experience. We travelled as a large family group, and this booking was part of several bookings made by different members of our family. There was a mistake from our side regarding the number of guests included in the bookings, which we fully acknowledged. However, the way the situation was handled when we arrived was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the reception team, particularly Mr Abdul Rahman and Mr Hisham, were not helpful or welcoming. Their manner and the language used when speaking to us felt quite unfriendly and unnecessarily confrontational, which gave us a very poor first impression of the resort. We were kept waiting at reception for almost three hours, despite travelling as a family with children, and there seemed to be very little effort to help us find a practical solution. Instead, we eventually had to book additional rooms on the spot at considerable extra cost. What made this even more frustrating was that some of those rooms were barely used. We had travelled together specifically to enjoy the holiday as one large family, yet because of the arrangements we ended up with one or two family members staying alone in rooms designed for four or five people. It completely defeated the purpose of travelling together and resulted in us paying a significant amount of extra money for rooms we did not really need. We accept that the original mistake regarding guest numbers was ours. However, what disappointed us most was the complete lack of flexibility, understanding or genuine effort to help resolve the situation. A much better solution could have been found if the reception team had approached the issue in a more professional and helpful way. Unfortunately, the experience with Mr Abdul Rahman and Mr Hisham at check-in set a very negative tone for the whole stay.

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel! ​Service: The front desk staff provided outstanding service during both check-in and check-out. ​Rooms: Clean, comfortable, and spacious enough. ​Staff: The restaurant team and lifeguards were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. ​Activities & Nightlife: We loved spending time at the pool and beach, watching the animation shows, and enjoying the VR games and Malahy (amusement park) at night.

Food: The only drawback was the food quality, as the taste was below average.

Bon accueil de Hicham de la réception et de sa disponibilité le long du sejour. Chambre propre merci à Mahmoud. Piscine, hôtel propre. Très bon restaurant et variés.

Nous avons remarqué un manque de civisme total de la part des locaux ( égyptiens). Certains ne font pas la queue dans les restaurants, attractions, sous les yeux du personnel surtout dans le restaurant soprano..les chefs de rang sont spectateurs des scènes et ne disent rien !!!. Plusieurs touristes étaient vraiment agacés. C'est vraiment dommage car je pense que c'est un facteur qui peut nuire à l'établissement et au séjour.

Le coin plage est un peu éloigné (bien qu'il y ai un service de navette gratuite toute les demi-heure) et l'emplacement n'est pas terrible à notre goût. Certains comportements de serveurs antipathiques,non souriant,comme si on les embêtait lorsque nous demandions quelque chose.Heureusement la plupart étaient tout de même cool et sympa. Les animations étaient sans plus au vu de la qualité de l'hôtel.

As always, Pickalbatros doesn't disappoint. We had a perfect vacation. The hotel features a water park, a fairground, a shuttle to the beach (which has a beautiful reef), and even a room with virtual reality machines—you really couldn't ask for anything more. The entire staff goes out of their way to ensure everything is perfect. We are celiac, and although they didn't have bread on hand, the chef made sure to prepare gluten-free crepes, pizza, and pasta whenever we wanted. The reception staff—Kaled Gamal and Abdelrahman Ahmed—would call us every afternoon to make sure everything was to our liking. A top-notch hotel!

The property tends to be suitable for families with children less than 12 years old. The combined value offered through aqua park, amusement park, VR delivered a delightful experience for kids and that is what matters most for parents.

The diversity of cuisines in breakfast is short. Most serves western cuisine nonetheless the quality of food is premium.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the range of facilities and activities available for guests. The hotel has several large swimming pools, as well as a dedicated children’s play area and an aqua park, which makes it a good choice for families with children. There were also many exercise activities, pool games, and entertainment programs available throughout the stay, providing guests with plenty of options to stay active and enjoy their time at the resort. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, which was one of the positive aspects of our stay. The room service was generally acceptable; however, the response time could be improved, as we often had to call several times before receiving assistance. The restaurants offered a reasonable variety of food, and the menu changed from day to day, which was appreciated and helped avoid having exactly the same meals throughout the stay. The outdoor children’s playing area was also well maintained and provided a good space for kids to enjoy themselves.

Areas for Improvement: One of the main areas that requires improvement is the responsiveness and attitude of some of the pool staff. Unfortunately, several staff members appeared unresponsive to guests’ requests and were not proactive in providing assistance. However, I would like to specifically recognize Mr. Mohamed Shehata, who was extremely helpful, cooperative, and professional. He was always willing to assist and was clearly one of the best members of the team. His efforts and excellent customer service were highly appreciated. Another disadvantage is that the hotel does not have a pharmacy on-site, which would be a useful facility, particularly for families and guests with children. The absence of an elevator for the upper floors was also inconvenient. Having to use the stairs repeatedly, was quite tiring. Providing elevator access would significantly improve the comfort and convenience of guests. The hotel is also not directly located on the seafront. However, the availability of a shuttle service to transport guests to the beach is a positive alternative and makes access to the sea relatively convenient. Overall Recommendation: Despite the areas that need improvement, the hotel offers a good range of facilities, particularly for families. The large pools, aqua park, children’s activities, entertainment, spacious rooms, and variety of food are significant advantages. Improving staff responsiveness, room-service response times, accessibility to upper floors, and adding basic facilities such as an on-site pharmacy would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Thank you to the hotel team for their efforts and hospitality, and special thanks to Mr. Mohamed Shehata on the pool for his outstanding assistance and excellent customer service.

فندق محير في تقييمه يعني متقدرش تقول واو ومتقدرش تقول وحش هو فندق كويس فيه بعض المميزات مثلا البيكري او المخبز يعني رائع الطعم والتنوع اللي فيه تحفه والبنت المصرية اللي بتقدم الحلويات بشوشة وجميلة بس مثلا وقته قليل ال VR إضافة كويسة للمكان بس زيرو تنظيم وفيه بعض الشخصيات اللي فيه تكرهك في المكان من تكشيرتهم سيارات التصادم لذيذه والشباب اللي هناك جمال وطيبين موظفين الاستقبال واحنا داخلين كويسين واحنا خارجين منتهي العبوس اللي في وشك ويقولك فين الكروت كانك هتدخل بيهم تاني بعد متروح وفين الاسورة نقصها ! قعدت في حوالي 50 فندق برة مصر محصليش كده نضافة الغرف تحس برضه الشباب مغصوبين عليها ! اخر يوم البنت الصغيرة عملت حمام علي البطانية سابها زي مهي ويادوب غير الملايات بس ! قعدنا 4 ايام ف الفندق محدش كلمنا ولا عبرنا قالنا مثلا مبسوطين معانا محتاجين حاجة الدنيا تمام ولا الهوا المطعم الشخص اللي بيحط الوجبة الرئيسية بيحطلنا 4 جمبريات في الطبق كان اللي هياكل عصفورة ! قعدنا 4 ايام برضه مفيش مثلا محاشي مفيش حمام سمان مفيش حاجة تحس انهم بيظهرولك ان في اكل كتير ومتنوع بس لو جيت تبص في الاخر هتلاقيه عادي تجربة محيرة متقدرش تقول وحشة لان الفندق كويس والاكوا بارك والملاهي والفي ار والبيسينات كويسة بس التجربة كخدمة عملا في الباتروس بالاس السنة اللي فاتت كانت افضل كتير

Extremely Disappointing Check-In Experience On 18 July 2026, I arrived at Pickalbatros Aqua Vista Hotel with my wife and three children to check in for a five-night stay booked through Booking.com. Our reservation, made in May 2026, was for two double rooms and was based on three adults and two children. At the time of booking, one of my sons was still under 12 and was therefore correctly registered as a child. However, he turned 12 only five days before our arrival. Booking.com had not alerted me that his classification would change by the check-in date. At reception, I was told that the hotel would not honour the original reservation unless I paid an additional charge to change the booking from two double rooms to one triple room and one double room. I contacted Booking.com immediately, and their representatives advised that the hotel did not need to amend the booking. They repeatedly attempted to contact the hotel’s reservation team and asked the hotel to waive the additional charge, but received no response or cooperation. My family and I were left waiting at reception for approximately three and a half hours. Despite Booking.com’s efforts to resolve the situation, the hotel refused to complete the check-in unless I paid the extra fees. Following Booking.com’s advice, I declined to do so. What made the experience even more disappointing was that this would have been my fourth consecutive year staying at this hotel. As a returning customer, I expected a reasonable and considerate approach, particularly as my son had only recently turned 12 and the issue arose from his age at the check-in date rather than any deliberate attempt to provide incorrect information. Eventually, after waiting for several hours with my wife and children, we had no choice but to leave the hotel without checking in. The entire experience was extremely frustrating, upsetting and disappointing for the whole family.

İlk gün sabah erken saatlerde otele geldik namaz kılacak yer bulamadık sonra ordan bir sorumlu kendi odasını ve seccadesi ni verdi onun odasında kıldık yatsı namazını ama sabah namazını lobide koltukların arkasında yerde kıldık seccade bile vermediler lobideki çalışanlardan biri kendilerine ait odada namaz kıldı kapıdaki karşılama görevlisi kağıt karton üzerinde bahçede kıldı. Yemekler Türk damakntadina çok uymuyor ama makarna salata patates kızartması felan mutlaka yiyecek biseyler bulursunuz.

The facilities were clean. Staff was supportive for example Mr Mina and Mr Ali in the receiption office. Food was variable and delicious.

Overall, it was a good experience, and I was satisfied with almost everything except the check-in process.

Unfortunately, we had to wait for more than four hours to check in, which was extremely frustrating. The reception team did not respond effectively, especially Mr. Mohamed Tharwat, who was unhelpful and did not make any effort to resolve the issue. This left a very negative first impression of our stay. The resort also needs more activities and entertainment programs, as it was often too quiet during our stay.

The standout feature of my stay was hands-down the staff and hospitality. I want to give a special thanks to Mina ,Ali at the reception—they were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful from the moment I arrived. They made the entire check-in and stay seamless, and their genuine hospitality made a great stay even better. Also all the team everywhere were asking us if we need help and if we are satisfied.Excellent service all around!

Çalışanları güler yüzlü, saygılı. Yeme içme imkanları çok iyi, havuzlar, aqua park ve deniz olmadı çok iyi.

Koskoca tesiste her şeye yer bulmuşlarda bir tane odayı mescit olarak ayırmamışlar. Televizyonda hiç olmazsa 2-3 tane türkçe habet kanalı olabilirdi.

Very good stay , thanks to Mr. Micheal reda in reception and all stuff were very helpful. Soprano restaurant very good food , clean and lots of variety it was the best restaurant in the stay. Great thank to chef hossam hassan at soprano restaurant very helpful and generous . Thanks to waiter Mahmoud in soprano restaurant very helpful and friendly. The bakery was very good and all day the long have variety and in service all day waitress hagar and waitress zahra was very helpful and generous . The new playing area was so good , new and clean Has a lot of variety Thanks to captain abdelrahman life guard he was so friendly and jovially all the time. Its not the first time to us in pickalbatros and it wont be the last inshallah.

Un hôtel pour que les enfants s’amuse

This is our second stay at the hotel. Same wonderful services and the staff are exceptional. They are always courteous, polite, & helpful. We had the triple room and it was a good size overlooking the pool with a spacious bathroom. Since it's across the street from their sea-front hotel, we would take the shuttle, which runs every 10 minutes or so. Would certainly be back.

The snack bar at the sea-front hotel for the Aqua hotels is isolated from hotel guests & really have limited items that were not that great. I recall last time we were able to access the hamburger joint by the beach, which wasn't the case this time. They either need to have better options at the bar or allow guests to access other food facilities.

Our stay at Albatros Aqua Vista was absolutely amazing, especially traveling as a family. Staying here gives you the perfect balance—the hotel itself is a bit quieter, but you get full access to the massive slides and kids' pools at the sister resorts next door. The aqua park was super exciting for both the adults and the kids, and the pools having multiple depths was an extra bonus for safety and fun. The hotel services in general are amazing. A special, massive thanks to Mr. Abdulrahman at reception who was incredibly helpful right from the start. We stayed in Building 3, and the housekeeping there was outstanding. The lifeguards everywhere were very active, alert, and highly cooperative, which gave us great peace of mind. The food variety was a major highlight. Thanks to the multi-buffet system, dining never got boring. We preferred having our breakfasts and dinners at the Tagine restaurant. The chefs are incredible—special thanks to Mr. Mohammed Abdulfattah, along with Chefs Ehab, Eslam, and Ahmed. Also, Mr. Fawzy from the service team was amazing and made our dining experience wonderful. The food from the live grill was delicious, but the absolute cherry on top was the bakery buffet—it is freakin' amazing and super delicious! For lunch, we just grabbed snacks at the aqua park or beach because we were always so full. During the daytime, the animation team did a great job with the foam parties, pool parties, and kids' parties. Another massive plus was the amusement park and VR area. It was a great extra that we didn’t expect to enjoy so much, and it successfully filled our evenings with fun!

Night Entertainment: While daytime activities were great, the night animation and themes were a bit vague. We never really had a clue what show was going to take place or how long it would last. The night shows in general could definitely be improved. Drink Variety: The variety of non-alcoholic cocktails could be better. We could really only find Mojitos and basic juice cocktails. Coffee Quality: The coffee brand used could be upgraded. It leaves a bit of an aftertaste, though it wasn't annoying enough to ruin the stay.

Since 4 years I started to try Albatross hotels every year I try a new hotel in different cities in Egypt and every time I’m amazed with what I’m seeing and experiencing, this year I visited Aqua Vista Hurghada with my family and honestly the least I can say that it was one of my happiest vacations ever, everything was amazing since the moment I stepped inside the hotel to this moment while I’m packing my luggage and preparing myself to checkout, staff 10/10 rooms 10/10 food 10/10 entertainment 10/10 aqua park 10/10 cleanness 10/10 beach 10/10 A very big thanks to each and everyone who helped to make this hotel appear in that amazing position and defiantly I will keep visiting new hotels of the group more and more thanks you again from me and from my family, you are the best really ❤️❤️

A családi szoba hatalmas volt, es nagyon kényelmes. Nagyon finomak voltak az ételek, szuperek a medencék, és hogy három hotel éttermeit és medencét lehet használni fantasztikus. A gyerekek imádták az ingyenes vidámarkot a hotel előtt. Legközelebb is visszatérünk.

1- The rooms have many things that need maintenance. 2- Poor treatment, unlike what happened in pickalbatros jungle From the warmth of the welcome 3-The food quality was different than before. I don't know if the chef has changed. 4-There are no services on the beach, and if you want to drink water, you have to walk a distance to the restaurant designated for hotel guests. However, the beach was sandy, paved, and had nice benches.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved the variety of activities and food and food was available 24/7 and we loved their pastries. They also have a great Amusement park with no extra charges.

The kids aqua park toilet needs more attention.

Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, from the reception and housekeeping to the lifeguards. The resort is very clean and well-organized. You need to take a 5-minute shuttle bus to reach the beach, which was also clean. Special thanks to Mr. Michael at the reception when I needed to change my room because it wasn't suitable, he was incredibly helpful. I also want to thank Mr. Fathy, the lifeguards, and the housekeeping team for room 6515. The food was very good and tasty, and the bakery restaurant was great. I hope to come back soon next time.

However, the snacks area needs improvement it was extremely crowded because one single place serves guests from three different resorts, which I didn’t like at all. Additionally, the VR area needs more space and better air conditioning.

everything was so nice and clean and the food was so so delicious and clean! no issues with belly. the facilities here and endless after 7 nights we still have not seen jt all. the staff here are all amazing and so so friendly and help you straight away. the catering team was amazing especially mahmoud he would always make sure we have enough food and drinks. the room would get cleaned daily and was spotless. the slides were so much fun too. the receptionists were amazing especially khaled he went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

i honestly have 0 complaints if i had to make one it would be to make the padel free hahaha

Tout ! Le personnel est extrêmement serviable et aux petits soins. Mention spéciale pour Mohamed le responsable, Ali à la réception, Aladdin coté animation et Mahmoud (amigo) le maître nageur très souriant que les enfants ont adorés ! Coté nourriture les plats et boissons proposés tout au long de la journée sont de qualité et le choix est très large donc parfait pour convenir aux petits comme aux grands. La propreté de l’hôtel est exemplaire, le personnel nettoie intérieur et extérieur du matin au soir. Tout est fait pour que votre séjour se passe à merveille et ça a été le cas. Nous recommandons et reviendrons sans aucune hésitation !
