Bathroom could’ve been cleaner. There was bar soap caked in the soap dish in the shower. I reported it to the reception desk the next morning, and they said they would have it taken care of. However, housekeeping took a bar of soap and set it on top of the already dirty soap dish. Not the cleanest bathroom I would like to have seen.
Location was great and the decoration of the lobby was fantastic.
The rooms were not what we expected based on the pictures posted, the only ice machine in the building did not work, and we were locked out of our room 30' before the check out time, which made us waste time getting the keys enabled to access to our room (we were not the only ones experiencing that).
Rooms were nice. Pleasant employees.
No ac in halls. Ac not working in room. It was in mid July BTW. Hall way into the rooms off the bar and check in that was supposed to be locked for security was always left open. More like weed open, when I asked why the employee said it was always left open
Cute, clean, friendly staff, great restaurant. No frills, but has everything you need and does it right.

Breakfast was wonderful! One little bitty quibble- dinner the dish I had was a pasta dish with shrimp added. The shrimp were too heavily seasoned, I could not finish eating. For breakfast I had poached eggs with spinach. Again the spinach was too heavy on the salt. Could not eat the spinach. Guess I am just too sensitive with seasoning.

Unique, clean, felt safe
Loved the decor- it was so welcoming that I felt like I was home!

It was very clean and well kept. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Everything.
Difficult to get luggage carrier thru the door.

Staff was very nice.
Everything was good
Nice Room, Nice Staff, Food was excellent and the Manager Madison was fabulous!!!
Do not hesitate to book! Large, clean rooms, great location, friendly staff and a cool vibe.
This hotel is super nice. The staff were very friendly. The hotel looks to be newly remodeled as everything is super modern looking. It is also in a great location to Dr. offices and Hospitals. There's a restaurant on site if you don't want to leave to eat.
There was nothing really that I didn't like about this hotel.
The hotel itself was lovely. It was clean and spacious.
There was no drinking water to be found on the premises, not even in a vending machine, and the person tending the front desk wasn't helpful in getting any for us. He also didn't even offer to open a door as we were attempting to get our luggage in or out of the building. Also, the room was hot upon arrival, but we managed to get it cooled off in a reasonable amount of time.
The rooms don’t carry that same design language through. The furniture reads dated next to the polish downstairs — a red retro mini-fridge, mismatched dining chairs, and a layout that feels more motel than boutique despite the mid-century-style bed frame. The carpet showed visible staining in several spots. Bedding had noticeable discoloration, and the overall upkeep felt inconsistent with the property’s presentation out front. The atmosphere from arrival felt unwelcoming rather than hospitable, and service during a late-night check-in did not match what a Hyatt-affiliated, Mr & Mrs Smith-listed property should deliver. A follow-up call came with an apology but no resolution offered. Bottom line: the design team and the restaurant are doing the heavy lifting here. The guest rooms and front-of-house service need real attention before this matches the promise of its own lobby.
The rooms were spacious with large comfortable beds. The bathroom was gorgeous with a fabulous walk in shower. Staff were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast after a great workout in the gym.
There is nothing that we did not like.
Inadequately furnished room. Poor lighting (flickering). Ugly view. Badly patched area on the wall around an electrical outlet. Low water pressure. Overall, unsatisfactory experience.
Clean and nice
Everything is perfect
The property was so clean and nice. The decor and vibe was exceptional! Loved everything about it!
This is a gorgeous spacious boutique hotel, pet friendly with a kind and helpful staff, gorgeous grounds and plenty of communal space to hang out or walk your dog. It was super convenient to many local attractions although far enough away from downtown you will need a car to get around. The rooms are really large and the bed was comfortable. The art on the building and the landscaping is breath taking. It's done with such care it really shows.
Breakfast is not included. I should have read a little more closely I saw "breakfast" in the booking.com listing and assumed complimentary. It is not. There is complimentary coffee in the bar but you will need to purchase breakfast in the restaurant. There was no microwave in the room. Water and ice are only available on the 2nd floor. Three pillows is not enough for two middle aged adults. Nor is only two bath towels enough for two adults staying the the weekend. Those are all minor issues and did not impact the enjoyment of our stay. Staff was quick to provide extra towels and complimentary bottled water but we didn't think to ask for an extra pillow until we were already in bed. Overall it is really a lovely place and we would stay there again.
The staff was nice, and the hotel was very clean and beautiful. I will stay again.
Super great restaurant, very cute aesthetic, and overall clean and comfortable.
More art in the rooms. Felt a little bare.
Love the staff and the hotel. I’ve stayed here at least five times and enjoy it every time.
The restaurant and the outdoor fire pits
I didn’t like not being able to use the HDMI ports on the in room televisions.
Peaceful, the interiors are great. Feels at home
Quaint smaller hotel.
Conveniently located, friendly staff, clean and comfy.

Food good. Room terrible. Terrible lighting in the room. The wardrobes they provide are even darker so instead of putting clothes away, it all stayed in the suitcase because I cant see what im doing. No soap or body wash for shower. And the shower is a death trap. I feel lucky to be alive after my shower as opposed to getting killed in the shower.
I stay at the Elwood almost every time I visit Kentucky which is at least 3/4 times a year. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I love the king suite it's so nice. The gym is always clean. I love that there's a rowing machine. The bar serves up excellent cocktails and all the food I've eaten there is tasty. Breakfast in the summer with the white curtains billowing is so nice. Even though it's on a busy road the atmosphere whisks you away. The personnel there is always friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience.
Boutique feel, nice common spaces,restaurant.
The location had some of the same limitations of most chain hotels; not in a walkable neighborhood, despite < 2mi from downtown.
I love the vibe and everyone is always so welcoming
Terrible customer service.
The room was clean, cute and comfortable. We only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early, but we got a good night's sleep. The blinds darkened the room well and the bed was very comfortable and very little noise was heard outside our door or window.
All was good.
Excellent staff. Professional but very friendly. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and beautifully presented. We ate there 4 times
Great location and pretty property. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The decor was modern and convenient. There was a pretty good restaurant on premises, although all of their draft beers were down the night we stayed. (Waiting on a part.)
The sink is outside the bathroom and I wasn’t crazy about that, and even with extra window shades, light from the parking lot came into the windows at night.
Very clean and friendly staff. Felt like more of a “boutique-y”style hotel compared to the big name hotels (that is a good thing).
Continental breakfast would have been nice but that probably keeps the cost down.
The lounge and restaurant were great! Staff were excellent! Loved small hotel, not big chain hotel.
Restaurant and bar on property.
The hotel is very pretty inside and out. The beds were great very comfortable the hotel is very clean and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were very big and spacious with lots of restaurants around and the hotel had a restaurant also but we didn’t eat at the hotel already had other plans.
I was charged for my service dog but did get it refunded after I contacted them and explained it.
Lighting
Everything else and the entry to the hotel was alarming
Special Boutique Hotel! Surprisingly Unique and upscale for the price! Classy!
The atmosphere!
What’s not to like?
Kind of eccentric, an older building but remodeled beautifully.
Convenient location Excellent food
Very convenient for what I needed. Right next door to the clinic.
This is the third time I’ve stayed at this hotel and this is the only time I have been unhappy. I don’t know if this room just had a different mattress and pillows or what, but it was extremely uncomfortable this time. They were both hard as a rock and lumpy feeling.
I loved the mural outside on the building and the sitting area! The entire place was adorable. Wasn’t to fancy but not run down. It was perfect.
Nothing
Rooms were clean, updated, and had all the creature comforts. Staff was friendly and the on-site restaurant was very good. Only thing missing was the breakfast was not included. Was $20 extra per person in advance.
Breakfast was not included.
Beautiful boutique hotel! It's pretty close to UK, restaurants, etc.
I loved the way the place looked, it was so unique and different.

Ambiance
Food was very average needs improvement
The folks at Elwood showed true Southern hospitality: polite, hardworking, and respectful from the minute we walked in. No nonsense, just good old-fashioned service that made us feel welcome like we belonged. Room was clean, bed comfortable, everything in order and cozy enough to rest well after a full day. Solid place all around, no complaints. If you’re in Lexington, whether for the track, bourbon, or just passing through, this is the spot. We’ll be back. Strongly recommend.
It’s convenient from the highway on our way south and on our way home always clean Great room good food
The outside of the property was beautiful and the room that I booked was very large and included 2 rooms, a living space, bathroom and small kitchen area. This WOULD have been a good stay if we did not go to pull down the bedsheets to find BLOOD, called the front desk for them to come, see it on the bed and ACKNOWLEDGE it to us and tell us that the night manager would take care of us in the morning. I wasn’t expecting a full refund and had no expectations. But not even an I’m sorry. All I got was this night staff saying that she got the sheets down to laundry and inspected them to find no blood and only a rip in the sheets (which we didn’t even see). She was in our room WITH another employee and saw it. They both acknowledged it and were quick to make a really crappy bed only because they said they knew we had a baby with us.
The customer service was horrible. We have even tried to reach out since and was unable to speak with a manager. We spoke with someone who was not understanding the situation and took our number with no call back. Just to reiterate, we got there and set up. Our baby had surgery early the next day. That’s the ONLY reason we were in town. I booked one of the biggest and most family friendly rooms because I was bringing a baby and needed his own room for his crib (which I brought myself). We set up. Then, my husband and baby go to lay on the bed and relax and there’s blood…. On the sheets and comforter. We immediately call the front desk. They did offer to move us rooms but mind you, we had a baby and I had already set up his crib. He was in his pajamas. His toys were out. He was having dinner and we already had all his stuff set out and orderly. She said she was going to talk to the manager. She calls us back and says they are coming to bring new sheets and I asked about a new comforter and pillow cases since there was blood on the comforter and we just preferred all new bedding, as anyone would. They come up, they SLOPPILY change the bed and take the sheets. Mind you, my husband had to help but they did not bring gloves or anything for anyone touching these sheets. I’m pretty sure that is workplace hazard to not wear gloves. My husband showed BOTH WOMEN the spots and they acknowledged and said they knew we had a baby and wanted to get them all changed for us. So only because we had a baby? Regardless, she said she was going off shift and she briefed the person coming on and he would make sure this was made up to us when we checked out. Again, I had no expectations but I went to check out and he proceeded to tell me that she brought the sheets downstairs to examine and couldn’t find any spots of red or blood on the linens and only a rip. What in the world? She literally saw it and acknowledged it in our presence with a coworker while they were still on the bed.
Very good
Booking for a group did not go well and meal plans had to be changed, but on site staff were very helpful and accommodated as much as possible.
Great.
The room was well decorated, very clean and spacious. I appreciate the plant, the fact that it was living was awesome! The restaurant below was convenient.
We had an issue with the air conditioner being extremely loud at night for quite a while.i did let the front desk know so hopefully it was addressed prior to their next appointment.
Good value for money - room was what we needed Staff very accommodating and flexible
I’m struggling to come up with any issues
The understated elegance and charm of the owners
Friendly staff
Location
The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel was very nice with a boutique feel.
The pillows were the one thing I wasn’t a fan of. There was only 3 on a king bed and they weren’t great.
Close to the hospital. Easy to get book. Very clean
Bed seemed a little broke down
It was right next door to the hospital that I was having surgery at on Tuesday!!
Fiddletree Restaurant was a bit expensive.
The grounds and building were nice! Easy to get to from the interstate and lots of restaurant options!
Our bathroom sink drained slowly, otherwise it was very accommodating.
Checked into this boutique hotel. No pool. And you check in at a desk between the restaurant and the bar. So that's odd - but you do pass a secure door back to the hotel area. Room was super cool with an old fashion fridge and everything. Bed was fantastic, and it was very safe. Service: Friendly Parking: Free, paved lot Staff: Southern charm Would recommend: Yes Would re-patronize: Yes
Beautiful hotel. Restuarant was amazing!!
Loved everything
